Blue heirs of silver pt3:

Third and last of the challenges was a sort of scavenger hunt through their local market places, but with a twist. They were supernaturally run places that trolls and other creatures visited. Free of non- magical related humans for the certain cryptids to openly shop.

"Looks like a potion." Wyatt figured.

"Not one I am familiar with …" Elaine and Konstantin were stumped.

"Why do I feel like I'll be useless here?" Serenity asked.

"Actually," Elaine looked to her brother, "If you haven't noticed, my brother can't cast spells."

"I can only scry and do potion craft," Wyatt sadly answered, "Anything spell related is Elaine's doing, I am just support."

Hepzibah and Corbeau came charging into the room from the stairwell as quiet awkwardness settled. Hounds on followed with whining and barking filling the void. Elaine's owl screeched so loudly that the place was more like a zoo.

"Hey!" Wyatt shouted to calm everyone down, "Hepzibah and Corbeau. You are helping me with opening duties since Dera and Goleon will be late. Hounds in the back and Elle … Good luck with this one."

"Means," Serenity looked at Wyatt, "Your mine."

"Should we?" Elaine asked Konstantin.

He wasn't sticking around to watch Serenity further flirt with his associate after the past few days. Light affections the two shared with each other from lookingo at each other and hand touching. Repetitive smiling alone each one wore was getting a tad annoying.

"We'll have to make a stop first at the local shops or two before we go to the witch and troll markets," Elaine already knew where they were going, "I already have a pouch of pearls, soulful wines, and lunarian bark."

"I may have a few things we could further bargain with," Konstantin recalled a few things given to him from his cases, "I'll have Mrs. Richards drop them off."

"Don't forget us." Hephzibah and Corbeau volunteered.

Her basket went from partial to half full with donations from everyone that gathered. Before leaving for a series of human owned and run stores to visit. They were able to get bones, ends, and odds from a few butchers. Local mortician at the hospital and X-ray tech gave them a few things. Missing when Mrs. Richards stopped by with the crate of things.

"You sure he wants to part with these?" Corbeau asked Serenity and Mrs. Richards.

"Oh. Yes he does." Mrs. Richards nods her head.

Crate of stuff from Konstantin's apartment that he was given from past cases. Weren't really high priority for him to keep since they were covered in dust. Had Serenity recalling the back story of each item the teens pulled out. She wore a smile with one and a frown with the rest. Laughed at a few that brought a funny ending to a case they worked.

"Allow me," Goleon would help Mrs. Richards, "Come again."

"Such a nice boy." She liked Goleon.

The teens went over the typed copy of the ingredient list Elaine's enchanted typewriter made. This made the two recall a potion recipe from one of her grimoires. They spent the better part of their lunch break in the room. Picking and sorting through her spell related books and tomes. Which didn't catch Derek's attention or bother Fenrir when they worked.

"Do you want anything?" Serenity yelled up the stairs.

"No." they answered.

Wyatt and their grandpa were slightly worried when they asked to look at his more Advanced books.

"Found it!" Hephzibah was heard yelling.

"Aren't those eternal potions?" Corbeau asked his cousin.

"Why would a witch want an immortal potion?" One asked the other.

Their chat came to an end when black cat jumped in between them as Goleon jumped on them.

"Your search is worrying your family," Goleon informed them, "I would like to know what is so important?"

"What do you know about … eternal youth potions?" The two asked him.

He didn't have to answer them verbally when he already knew the answer thanks to his late grandmother. She was once a witch that specialized in potions in the mortal world. She brewed and crafted them for the more wealthy side of life. Mostly ones that kept them youthful and kept money flowing.

Elixir of Revitalization

Revitalizing Tonic

Potion of Rebirth

Decanter of Youth

Just one of the many potions teens shared with their Aunt when she learned of their discovery. Led her to guess what she gathered to be used by witch of chances. Which didn't surprise Konstantin when he reviewed their research. Since he figured this was her way of staying alive throughout the centuries, or staying youthful.

"Then I am glad I chose the second choice." Elaine was relieved.

"Being?" Konstantin asked.

"Brewing the actual potion." Sultry tone answered him.

Sitting near the center stool was a rather plainly dressed woman with a fir tree branch and a portulaca flower on her hat. Her attire held a timeless quality from the design to the appeal. Average height and wore hour glass for heels of her pumps.

"Other team tried brewing and failed," She welcomed the black cat to her lap, "In the hospital."

She put down the empty tumbler glass she sipped from with a smile on her plump lips. Reaching out to stroke the fur of the unnamed cat that took a seat before her with a gloved hand.

"Had to come in person," She faced them, "See for myself."

"About what?" Konstantin carefully watched her.

"A blooming relationship," She relocated the cat, "Call me a hopeless romantic for an impossible love between a human and a demon."

"Thank you?" Elaine was confused.

Elaine tried to not be startled by the women's eyes when she looked upon them. They were completely icky black with a vertical white slit. Way hands of an analog clock were worn as earrings on her ears. Face of a clock was worn as a necklace around her neck as Clip on Nose glasses rested perfectly, on the center of her slender nose.

"I hate to break this to his highness," She opened her purse, "Stories about a mortal maiden falling in love with an immortal being is no cake walk."

"Do you speak from experience?" Konstantin asked, watching her.

"Let's say," She pulled a wooden box from her purse, "I fell in love with a mortal man and that brief encounter is one with a bad ending."

"When death

Takes my hand

I will hold you with the other

And promise to find you

In the next life." Elaine looked to Konstantin.

You will always

Be the one

I long for,

The love

I would cross

The universe to find." He answered her .

She placed a closed wooden box next to her empty glass With a smile when she grew quiet. Closing her purse as she reached out to Elaine's basket of ingredients. Snapped her fingers to make the filled basket disappear from sight.

"Then call me when you need me," She looked toward the miniature horse Carousel, "Clocca is my name and I have a summons to answer."

Off her seat she stood on the strange heels with a portal looking like a sundial appearing under her feet. Swallowed her form completely when she waved her goodbyes to them with a wink.

"Did we just make a friend or alley?" Elaine asked Konstantin.

"I would spend hours figuring that over with drinks and one of your brother's culinary concoctions," Konstantin pointed out at the time, "I made plans for us."

"As in a date?" Elaine asked rather than be taken with the news.

"Blame Mrs. Richards and Serenity," He recalled their advice, "Shall we?"

Rest of the evening was him making up with her by taking her to see a play in a private box. Making up to her for that one night when Niq came across them after being attacked. The time no interruptions took place when they shared a loveseat the whole time. She made sure to bring her opera glasses to get a closer view of the actors. During the first intermission in between the first act ending and second act about to begin. What would be called their first kiss was shared in the dim lighting. Way their lips just came together when she intended to ask him about snacks. Ended up in her gloss covered lips connecting with his slightly chapped ones.

He was careful in placement of his hands on her since she wore a sweater bodycon dress in black. From a turtleneck collar with a drop shoulder that laces up in a lantern sleeve sweater. Cycles of the moon were spread across her chest with five stars. High waist with frontal lace, Above- the- knee, A- line skirt with a side slit. In these rounded toe flats and complete coverage stockings over her legs for warmth. Her hair was styled and combed in a sideways ponytail on one of her shoulders. Obsidian gemstone barrettes worn in her hair with matching earrings.

"Let me," She directed his arm, "Help you."

To the small of her back she placed his glove hand while her head came to rest on his shoulder. He quietly accepted her repositioning his arm with the intermission completely forgotten.

"Better?" She asked him.

"Possibly." He needed time.

"What's wrong?" She sensed something wrong.

"Still figuring things out," He whispered, "This is new for me."

He couldn't remember when he found love among the daughters of high ranked demons or nobility in hell. Learning political science and combat tactics from his private tutors. One of many concepts and teachings taught to him as he grew up under his parents. Prepare him for the role of crowned prince when he became of age beside his father. Welcoming the day his sister came into his life as he watched her grow beside him. Just her way of thinking and how she was raised was dramatically different. What brought a smile to his face now when he sat beside Elaine.

"I am here whenever you need an ear." She offered.

"You're too much like her." He was reminded of his sister.

She would have elbowed him for that comment if the intermission didn't come to an end and second act started up. She just gave him a playful tap before turning her attention toward the stage.

Goleon could be found waiting outside the private box just listening to the audio. He was coming to appreciate the entertainment of the theater during this assignment. Musicals like the present one were beginning to become his favorite. Humming along with the songs alone was quite fun as he sat in silence. Reaching up to calm down Elaine's owl he stirred at someone's presence.

"What does the Witch of Chances want?" He asked the familiar presence.

"By royal decree, your new partner in crime." She sighed.

He noticed the ancient runes that littered the thin piece of metal on her wrist rather well from prior decades. Piece of simple jewelry to eyes of mortals was a magical shackled put into place on her. Had purple spikes introvertly worn and piercing the joint of her wrist were made out.

"From her or his majesty?" He needed clarity.

"Both," She showed a bracelet she wore, "They live up to their reputations."

"Better than being tortured or cursed." He reminded her.

"This was the third option," She covered her wrist, "I should have appealed."

He ended up laughing at her comment about appealing a royal decree since no demon was brave enough. Souls of sinners and demons born feared the house of Morningstar for numerous reasons. A few he knew was nobody wanted to go against his majesty before the sins. Most of the nobility and higher ranked under them supported him and them.

"Until the shackle falls away," He formed a seat for her out of the shadowy mass, "This is your life."

"Great half- breeds for company while being forced to live a madone existence," She sat, "I am already hating this."

"Miss. Delacroix," He advised her, "Can help you adapt."

"Dhampir barmaid?" She recalled Dera, "Illegitimate daughter of a vampire lord? I forgot about her."

"She's been a great help to me when I was assigned here." He informed her.

She tried to not sound disappointed since she threatened the bride of the prince. Made her recall how she was summoned to their throne room. Images alone of anger from parental and royal perspectives still chilled her.

"We'll be working together?" He asked her.
