Olly checked in on Peach. She stood silently at her post, waiting for Mario to arrive. Olly took her to her bedroom and shut the door. He faced her.
"Peach...Speak to me. Tell me about Mario."
"I told you all I know...And that means I told you everything..."
Olly sighed. "Do you want to spare time with me? Mario's currently going towards the red streamer and it's a bit boorish to watch him waltz around all over."
"..."
Olly shook his head. "I told Scissors they were a pain to talk with. Well, I guess you can go back for a bit. She'll need to get used to her new, papery form anyway."
He swiped his hand to the left and unfolded her. She fell to her hands and knees, shaking lightly. She got up, dusted off her dress, and looked around.
"Huh? What happened? I saw a weird Shy Guy, and then everything went black...Oh?"
Olly bowed. "Peach, it's truly an honor to meet you. Please, have a seat."
She sat on her bed. "Am I...paper?"
"Yes. Quite odd, isn't it? Being so flat and frail..."
"Who are you?"
"Curious, aren't you? I was actually planning on introducing myself, but I suppose you really wanted to ask questions." He smiled. "My name is King Olly."
"King? If you're royalty, how come I've never met you before? I tried to create unity between the kingdoms surrounding the Mushroom Kingdom..."
"I...happen to be missing a kingdom. I am a king, yes, but without a castle or anyone to rule."
"Interesting."
"I'm quite new at this 'ruling' thing. That's partly why I wanted to meet you. I was hoping you'd be able to help me."
"With what?"
"How would I...get a castle? Do I need to create it, or find one to take control over?"
"Well, the Mushroom Kingdom's castle has been here long before I came here, so I'm not entirely sure. I guess it really depends on the ruler you want to be."
"I see."
"But I think you can make a better castle if you create it. You can make the castle the way you want it to be."
"Hm...I may do as such, thank you."
"Of course! But...where are my-"
The door opened, and in came the Sumo Bro that was supposed to be guarding Shangri Spa. "King Olly...! A word, please..."
Olly scoffed. "Can't you see I'm in the middle of something? What could be so important that you cannot tell I closed the door for privacy?"
"Mario found his brother and is now heading towards Overlook Tower...!"
"Oh! Well, that is important news. Thank you for informing me."
"And his brother is looking for the key to Peach's Castle..."
"Still? Can't he catch a hint? Or, is he blind? I tossed that out when I captured this place. I saw it get stuck right in his exhaust pipe. He's an idiot, that one."
"My key?" Peach asked. "Why did you-Wait, did you say you took over my castle?!"
"Ah, yes, the truth of the situation. I was going to get to that once I befriended you enough. Oh well, I suppose that plan is out the window."
The Sumo Bro stamped a foot. "I will resume my position..."
"Please, do. Get out of my sight."
The Sumo Bro summoned his cloud and flew off. Olly faced Peach again. Peach looked to the open door.
"Peach, I know what you're thinking. You surely think I'm vile because of my aggressive efforts, but I can assure you that I truly mean no harm to you, Bowser, or Bowser's Minions."
"But what about my Toads? I haven't seen a single one yet."
"That...is not for questioning."
"You didn't hurt my Toads, did you?"
"Oh, of course not. They hardly feel a thing. In fact, some of them enjoy it more than being themselves."
"E...enjoy what?"
"Being origami, of course."
"You...you folded them?!"
"Not me, personally, but my Folded Soldiers are. They're currently dealing with those pesky Toads in the sky. They believe themselves to be angels with that goofy getup."
"How could you do such a thing?! What did the Toads ever do to you?"
"Defensive, are we? Bowser was the same way when I folded him. You should see him-nothing more than a square!" Olly chuckled, his bangs flopping happily. "But I can see why you're upset. The Toads are your servants, so naturally, I'd be upset if I were in your place. But to tell you the truth, Peach, I'm not just getting rid of the Toads. I deem to get rid of everyone who disgraces origami! This festival...it was meant to show our splendor, reveal our magic and beauty to the world in a celebration! But one Toad...actually, not just one. Many of your 'precious' Toads disgraced us. They scribbled on us, threw us away, ripped or torn us and called us 'replaceable.' No more will I stand for this unjust behavior. It's time I do what's right for Origami Folk. Everyone who ever deemed us as nothing, will feel our wrath. That...is my goal as the Origami King. And I will bring a new, unified origami kingdom from the rubble of this kingdom. You let your Toads disgrace us, then have the audacity to hold a festival honoring us? You think you are a sweet person, but that is sick, and vile. Luckily, I have plans for you. However, they cannot come to fruition yet. I still need time, and power."
Peach tried to leave by running out the door. Olly waved his hand as he turned to face her, the door slamming shut. It locked right as Peach tried to test the handle.
"Running away now? You surprise me, Peach. I never expected you to be a coward."
"I want to warn them! You can't do this! This is evil! You seem so nice, don't do this to yourself or others!"
"Evil? Sure, it may seem that way to you. I don't mind being called names. After all, there's always one person who turns against justice."
"You said you wanted unity."
"And this is the only way to get it. As long as those people who desire to destroy us exist, the Origami Kingdom can never thrive to its fullest. I only seek to destroy those who destroyed us, is all. If you listen to me, I'll let you go back to Mario unharmed. Failure to agree, and I'll fold you again. But it seems you have a while to make that decision, so take your time to really think."
"Either way, you'd benefit. I'd get nothing from this."
"No. If you agree that this world is far too flimsy to work with, then I'll let you go. I just want one person to realize their faults."
"...No. I won't agree with you! What you're doing is messed up and evil!"
"Fine then. Be that way. At least a stubborn ruler can die fighting, rather than cowering in a corner with the fools. Alright then, I suppose you've made you decision. So, I suggest you get used to your new, permanent form."
"Bring it on, Olly."
"That's King Olly, to you. And I'm not just a king. I'm the Origami Overlord. It's best you treat me with respect if you don't plan on getting crumply."
"Mario will stop you."
"That's a risk I'm willing to take."
