Ya... this gonna be fun and fluffy as hell with a side of drama. I've always wanted to write a Band AU fic :P Songs featured in the fic are mainly gonna be from Honey Revenge (certified freaking bops). The song that inspired the start of this fic was Airhead. Give it a listen. If you like paramore you might like them a lot too!

Lol Enjoy!

Yang filed into their school's auditorium with her sister in tow.

Thankfully they came to this assembly early enough that they got good seats on the ground floor, closer to the stage. The balcony views were nice and all but Yang liked being closer to the performers. It was like being at a concert. Also, if they weren't that good she could make a quick getaway and spend her time reviewing her lines instead.

She then opted to take in her surroundings as she waited for the auditorium to fill up. It seemed like the whole school was there. She started to feel a little stuffy at the amount of people in the large area. She then spotted a familiar set of Rabbit-Faunus ears closer to the stage with her camera, no doubt getting ready to take pictures of whatever band in action. The Faunus girl caught her eyes and offered a small wave and smile.

Yang waved back with a friendly smile of her own.

Her eyes wandered to the plethora of speakers stacked on top of each other on the stage, and she let out a low whistle.

"Damn... it's about to get real loud in here, isn't it?"

"I heard this band was really good!"

Yang directed her gaze at her redheaded sister next to her. The girl sat at the edge of her seat in anticipation, taking in everything in the auditorium. She had her scroll out and Yang took a peek. It looked like a bio about the band they were about to watch. Apparently their band name was MonoChrome. Unfortunately, there was no picture of the members, probably because the school wanted to make a dramatic reveal.

But she guessed that was to be expected from a school like Beacon University of Arts and Drama.

It was one of the most prestigious schools a person could go to if they wanted to pursue the arts sector. Only the most talented people went here. Some of the students, like Yang herself, were already in the middle of making their breakout role. Which was why Yang would rather have been reviewing her lines instead of being cooped up in the auditorium, if she was being quite honest.

It was nice having a little break, though.

She'll just review them later.

She, however, couldn't help but wonder in the back of her mind what kind of show she had agreed to be a part of.

Ninja's of Love is a weird name...

She inwardly shrugged.

She'll take what she can get. Making it as an actress wasn't the easiest and apparently the role she got was a main character. She had also skimmed the premise of the story and it seemed pretty cool! A period drama about Ninja's in menagerie and love. There was also something about overthrowing a corrupt government which Yang liked too.

She had already filmed the first episode anyways... so she's committed.

"Whoa... the sound system they're using is insane..." Ruby snapped her out of her thoughts. She then grinned when the redhead clutched at her chest, appalled. "What are those settings though?! With an auditorium this big they gotta take into consideration of the-"

Yang zoned out while Ruby went on a rant on reverb... or whatever.

She knew when her sister got like this she could go on and on. It was a given since the girl had gotten into the school studying sound engineering and stage direction. Despite the girl's age and demeanor, she was crazy smart. Especially since she was like two years younger than everyone who went here. Yang was proud of her.

The blonde snorted. "Nerd."

"I'm just saying I could've definitely done a better job!" The redhead crossed her arms in mock indignance, but then grinned when a commotion began on stage. Ruby began bouncing in her chair in excitement.

Yang playfully rolled her eyes at her sister's reaction and directed her own gaze at the stage too.

It would seem that a monkey Faunus guy was making his way across the said stage. His tail whipped around periodically in what she assumed to be anticipation. Yang noted that he was kind of cute, with his messy blonde hair and vibrant smile. He wore a short-sleeved, unbuttoned white dress shirt - exposing an impressive set of abs- and a pair of black ripped jeans. He also had a pair of drum sticks in his right hand.

She fought the urge to scoff when a number of women swooned when he waved at the audience.

He was good looking though, he'll give him that.

She then watched as a Chameleon-Faunus walked on the stage too. The only reason she knew the woman was a Chameleon-Faunus was because she had decided to change a bunch of colors as she walked. Yang figured she wanted to let everyone know she was a Faunus because if she didn't do that, no one would know otherwise. The dark-skinned Faunus was quite human passing.

She was attractive too.

The woman was clad in a black leather jumpsuit that hugged her body really well. It had zippers all over it, and gave her a cool alternative look. Her brown hair was tied up in a high ponytail and went down to her mid-back. She grabbed the bass guitar on the stage, and started tuning it. The Faunus girl then looked up to the crowd and waved a little awkwardly - acknowledging them kind of as an afterthought.

"Wow..."

Wow indeed...

The next girl that had apparently caught Ruby's attention was one of the most conventionally beautiful people Yang had seen. The very definition of Atlesian beauty. The woman had pale, flawless skin - with the exception of what looked to be a scar running down her left eye - and long white hair that went down to her back. The Atlesian wore a form-fitting white sleeveless dress that flared at the bottom which stopped mid-thigh. There were intricate designs of lace on the dress which gave it a gothic vibe.

She grabbed the six-string guitar, and started tuning it too. But unlike the Chameleon-Faunus, she didn't address the crowd.

Maybe she's nervous?

Beacon University's student body began murmuring in anticipation at what the lead singer was going to look like.

So far all the members have been... well, hot.

"She's beautiful...!"

Yang poked at her sister to her right, offering her a teasing grin. "Falling in love already, are we?"

The blonde let out a little 'oof!' when Ruby straight up elbowed her arm in retaliation. She rubbed the part the girl had attacked but still held her grin.

"Shut up!" Ruby exclaimed as she gestured wildly at the unsuspecting band member, "But also... like, look at her!"

"Don't worry I did."

"And can you blame me?"

Yang hummed. "Nope." she said, popping the 'p' at the end. "Why don't you go talk to her after the performance?"

Ruby shot her a withering look. "First of all," she began, lifting her index finger in the air, "this auditorium is freaking huge so the chances of me getting to talk to her are very low." She then shot up a second finger, "And secondly! I'd rather not embarrass myself in front of her, showing how much of a useless lesbian I really am." the younger girl mumbled that last part to herself.

Yang simply laughed at that and ruffled the girl's hair. Ruby swatted at her hand, but her attention was brought back to the stage once the crowds exclamations got a little louder. Her hand froze on her sister's head because... well...

The most drop dead gorgeous Cat-Faunus woman she had ever laid eyes on walked onto the stage.

"Whoa..."

"Heh, what was that about falling in love again?"

Yang shoved Ruby's head, rather roughly. This resulted in the redhead being pushed into the student next to her. She heard her sister utter an apology, and felt her glare at her. She ignored the girl, her attention aptly on the Faunus woman sauntering towards the stage's mic.

The mystery woman wore a pair of black, low-rise flared jeans that had huge pockets on them. Kind of like combat pants. As for her top, she donned a cropped tank-top with a heart neck-line. Interestingly enough there was a simple outline of a fish on the top. She also noted that the singer had a choker necklace on, and an emblem of a cat face was on the middle of it - which she thought was cute.

She held a nervous amber gaze as she stared out onto the crowd, offering a little wave of her own.

As she made it to the mic, she cleared her throat. The sound reverberated throughout the auditorium and everyone quieted in anticipation.

"Umm... hello..." the Cat-Faunus addressed everyone awkwardly.

The bassist and guitarist snickered at the woman's grand introduction, and the singer shot them a glare.

"I- uh... thank you for coming out. We are MonoChrome, and I hope you enjoy our performance."

Yang personally thought that was quite the underwhelming introduction, but became excited anyways as the guitarist began playing their music.

She wondered what kind of genre the band played. Judging from their aesthetic it could've easily been an indie vibe. There were a lot of bands nowadays that looked like them playing folk and indie music. She wouldn't have been surprised if that was the case, especially with how reserved the singer seemed to be.

She was completely floored when they started to play pop punk music.

'Damn I'm such an airhead!
No strength in my spine (spine)...'

The Cat-Faunus' demeanor became sharp and she started to absolutely own the stage.

Blake mentally kicked herself a thousand times over for that dumb introduction she just made. All she wanted to do is crawl into a hole in that moment, but she was a little busy singing for her life.

Well... not for her life, but apparently this performance was an audition.

What a weird school...

Kali and Willow really wanted her and Weiss to go to this institute. Apparently it was one of the best in all of Remnant, and Willow was a stickler for elitist status. Not that Blake minded, of course. She knew the older Schnee woman only wanted what was best for them and she agreed they could pursue music professionally - only if they made sure they went and got an education as they did it.

And honestly, as Blake read about the school she liked the prospect of going to it a lot more. Their music and singing program was no joke.

She focused on her performance once more, and began to really work the stage. She made her way to Weiss, dancing to the beat of their song. The white-haired woman met her halfway through, swaying to the music herself.

'Man I'm really brain dead, I don't see the signs!
I'm stupid I'm unconscious,
Too high up, no stopping!'

Weiss sang with her, offering some background vocals at the last part.

Blake directed her gaze back to the crowd, and it seemed like they were into it? There were a bunch of students swaying in their seats, with smiles, to the beat of the music. Some were clapping to the beat too.

Man, it was different from their usual concert environments.

Blake liked interacting with the audience. It made things feel more natural.

So when an absolute bombshell of a blonde, and her pretty redhead friend began making their way towards the stage, Blake loosened up a little more.

They basically crowded next to the Rabbit-Faunus taking photos of their band near the front of the stage amicably, putting their arms around her shoulders. The Faunus girl looked a little miffed, muttered something that made the girls laugh, and put her camera away to enjoy their performance. The three of them started dancing like maniacs. Well, the blonde one seemed to be throwing her body all over the place, while the other two swayed to their song appropriately while waving their arms in the air.

Grinning, Blake began making her way towards their side of the stage.

"Agh! Easy with the equipment guys! This camera's expensive."

Yang and Ruby simply laughed heartily, and nudged the Rabbit-Faunus.

"C'mon you can take pictures of the band later." Yang yelled over the speakers, "This crowd kind of sucks, and their music is actually really good! We gotta get things rolling!"

"Ya! They're amazing." Ruby yelled too, her eyes glued to the white-haired beauty on the stage. "WOOOO!" she cheered them on.

Yang took note of how the frigid looking Atlesian woman actually smiled at the cheer as she played their song.

Soon, some of the other students from their school started following their lead and crowded the stage.

"Ugh, finee..." the Velvet drawled, putting the camera safely away. "I'm supposed to be taking pictures of their performance for a candid project... but it's only for extra credit anyways. Should be fine."

The two sisters cheered and made the girl join them.

'Skull's empty, I say dumb things I don't mean,
When I don't take the time to breathe
No control, wanna alt-delete (ay)...'

Yang began dancing wildly to the music. It was so nostalgic listening to them. She hadn't vibed to pop punk in so freaking long! And MonoChrome really knew how to perform and work the stage. The flashing lights and smoke machines really helped give the performance a concert vibe too, which she enjoyed. The members were also dancing and interacting with the audience that formed in front of the stage. She almost forgot she was at school.

"Good god, Yang!" Velvet exclaimed, "are you trying to start a mosh pit?!"

"No she's just having a seizure." Ruby remarked, laughing at her. She was dancing too, albeit a lot more conservatively than Yang herself.

"I'm just letting the music take over me!" Yang corrected, moving her body to the beat of the music exaggeratedly. She knew she was being silly at this point, but she couldn't help herself. She was having so much fun.

Velvet and Ruby simply giggled at her behavior.

Yang however did dial it back a little after that. There were more and more people crowding the stage and she didn't want to accidentally start a mosh pit.

She watched the gorgeous Cat-Faunus walk across the stage as she sang.

'Logic couldn't cut it, no, logic couldn't come (come)
I never invited, I guess I like being dumb!'

Yang's eyes widened in horror as she noticed that the Faunus woman's eyes were glued on her. The blonde still danced, more calmly now, and shot her a smile. She then wanted to bury her face in her hands.

Oh God I hope she didn't see me flail like a fucking dying fish to her song! So embarrassing...

The dark-haired Faunus woman sang the chorus of the song again, walking right in front of Yang's part of the stage. Yang could feel a blush form on her own face. Man, this woman was breathtaking...

Before she knew it, she was cheering and reaching out towards the singer. Like a smitten fan.

The Faunus met her halfway, grinning as she sang with all her heart. Yang had hoped the flush on the other woman's face was from their hands coming in contact, but that easily could've just been from her dancing and singing all over the stage. Singers were really built different.

Yang was a little disappointed when the other woman had to walk away, but then the absolute frenzy of excited screams that her sister and Velvet directed at her snapped her out of it. She joined them because it was actually kind of crazy that happened.

She watched as the Chameleon-Faunus shot the lead singer a scandalized look. The lead singer simply playfully shoved the other woman in return. Yang grinned back at the Chameleon-Faunus when she sent an encouraging smile her way. She went back to dancing and enjoying their song.

But when a certain white-haired guitarist made their way towards their corner of the stage, it was Ruby's turn to act starstruck.

The lead guitarist began playing a solo to the melody of the song's chorus and the crowd lost their minds. Even Yang herself felt totally enraptured by what the white-haired woman was doing. Everyone clapped to the beat while she did so too. She looked so cool in that moment.

Yang directed her gaze back to Ruby and she was completely engrossed with the guitarist. A small smile of awe and a blush graced her face. She looked back to the stage in time to catch the other woman blinking flirtatiously at her little sister. Scandalized, Yang gasped and started shaking Ruby's shoulders like she won some type of championship trophy.

She then barked out a laugh when Ruby 'thumbs up'd at the woman in return.

She really is a useless lesbian...

Ruby immediately groaned at herself, and buried her head in her hands.

The guitarist simply finished her guitar solo and smiled at the redhead with mirth swimming in her eyes. Yang could've swore she saw the woman laugh a little as she went to engage with the students on the other side of the stage.

Both Velvet and Yang gave each other a look, as if they had the same idea pop up in their head. Once Ruby emerged her face from her hands, the duo simply thumbs up'd at her too - in playful mockery. Her sister shoved the both of them, but they payed her no mind. They went back to enjoying the performance. It sounded like they were nearing the end of the song too.

'Damn I'm such an airhead!
No strength in my spine (spine).

With the best intentions,
I can't make it right

Man I'm really brain dead, I don't see the signs!
I'm stupid I'm unconscious,
Too high up, no stopping!

Ahh ahh!

The music faded out at the end.

There was a pause and then-

"WOOOOOO"

The auditorium erupted in a crazy amount of cheers. The sounds almost made Yang's ears pop - it was deafening. The entire student body had to be in the room in that moment. She let out a couple of 'Whoops' and whistles herself too, getting get caught up in everyone's energy.

Suddenly a brown-haired fashionista sauntered onto the stage.

She was really pretty too. Yang guessed she was probably their manager or something as she looked professional with her dark-brown suit and circular shades. Her suit jacket was unbuttoned, showing off a slim physique with her form-fitting V-necked black tank top underneath. She also wore a set of high-heels.

The crowd hushed as the woman made her way towards center stage.

Yang continued to watch as the lead singer handed the mic off to the brunette, looking a little thankful that she didn't have to speak again. The brunette grinned at the singer, then took the mic - gesturing grandly at the crowd as she did so.

"Did you guys have fun tonight?!"

The entirety of Beacon University's student body went crazy in response to the woman's question. The band members looked back out at everyone in awe and appreciation, smiling widely and waving. Once the auditorium quieted once more, the brunette continued on.

"I'd like to formally introduce myself and the band!" she exclaimed, "I'm MonoChrome's manager, Coco!"

Yang heard a series of clicks! coming from a certain Rabbit-Faunus' camera. She turned her head to see what she was doing, and saw that the girl had the camera pointed directly at the manager. When Velvet looked at the picture on her digital screen, Yang couldn't help but notice the absolutely smitten look she had on her face. The Faunus girl finally noticed her staring, and scowled when she saw the teasing look on Yang's face.

"What?" Velvet said, embarrassed. "She's pretty."

"Aren't you supposed to be taking pictures of the band?"

Velvet rolled her eyes.

Their attention was brought back to the stage by Coco, who continued to introduce the rest of the said band.

"Absolutely killing it on the drums is everyone's favorite monkey-Faunus, Sun Wukong!"

The energetic blonde Faunus boy began playing a short drum solo, and smiled like a maniac. Yang noted how majority of the fanatic cheers were women - who were completely losing it. She didn't blame them for their reactions though. The Faunus boy was fun to watch.

Coco chuckled, then gestured towards the Chameleon-Faunus bassist. "Then there's our super cool, super sexy bassist, Ilia Amitola!"

The Chameleon Faunus looked a little embarrassed at being called sexy in front of so many people, but nonetheless played a sick bassline for everyone. She grinned, and waved at the crowd as they cheered like crazy too.

She then watched as the band's manager made her way towards the white-haired guitarist with a sense of familiarity and mischief. The guitarist gave her a warning look, but Coco seemed unperturbed by the woman's icy glare.

"And then there's everyone's favorite Ice princess, Weiss Schne-YOUCH!"

The crowd both laughed and cheered as the guitarist began playing a guitar solo while poking at Coco with the head of her guitar.

"Agh! What the fu-! Weiss, stop that!" Coco exclaimed as she was being pushed around by the woman named Weiss' guitar. "She's the lead guitarist guys!" She added quickly at the end while running from the white-haired woman.

Once Weiss was satisfied, Coco made her way next the the lead singer.

"Then there's our lead singer, Bl-!"

The crowd went absolutely ballistic before Coco could even finish her sentence. And understandably so. Yang herself hollered and clapped and whistled. The rest of the members laughed and acted as if this was normal. The Cat-Faunus simply grinned widely and waved in appreciation back at the crowd, blowing little kisses here and there.

Weiss grabbed a mic and laughed. "Her name's Blake Belladonna guys!"

Blake Belladonna...

What a pretty name.

Agh jeez... Yang could tell she was already smitten.

The woman named Blake grabbed the mic out of Coco's hand and continued to smile at the crowd - she was slightly out of breath and had a little flush on her cheeks from all the singing. "Don't forget to vote for us on the University's website, guys!"

"Yeah! Your school's like way too expensive for us to go here normally!" Sun, the drummer, added. The auditorium filled with laughter at the Faunus boy's comment because well... it was true. The programs here were expensive as hell.

But then Yang frowned in confusion.

"Vote?"

Her sister Ruby piped up. "Yeah, this performance was basically an audition! Didn't you read the bio when you were reading my scroll?"

"No. I didn't get to that part..." Yang admitted as she took out her own scroll.

She then logged into her account on the University's website and saw the pop-up ad for MonoChrome. Once she tapped on the band's link there was a whole spiel on the page that went over how if they got enough votes they'd be able to attend Beacon University for Arts and Drama on a scholarship.

Yang smiled at the idea of potentially getting to know Blake personally.

She tapped the 'Vote!' button immediately.

She was already a huge fan.

Lol that was really fun to write.

Let me know your thoughts! I'm excited to see where this fic goes. Also I implore y'all to listen to Honey Revenge. Such a fun band.

Thanks,
