Sorry for the unexpected break 2 weeks ago. There was something else I wanted to work on. There is a small book I'm writing, and I started it a little while ago. Like last year or something.
I don't remember everything in deathly hallows, so if I made mistakes, sorry. I only have a timeline to help me with this flashback and that is it.
Anyway, enough about that; let's move onto the story! :)

Recap: "Time has stopped. That is why no one is responding, but thanks to your 'curse', you are able to move. Harry, my master, will also have that ability soon and will join us within the coming year," explained Death. "Also, I have noticed that you were worried about that 'curse'. There is nothing to fear from it. Death comes in time, but if time has stopped then death can never touch."
Zeref understood everything Death told him, but one thing he said caught his attention more than anything else. "Why do you keep saying curse with such emphasis?" He couldn't see it, but he could feel that Death just grinned under his dark hood.
"You will know everything while we wait for Harry to awaken."
"The first thing you need to know is when and why you have the power to kill," said death. "When you had gotten it, it was after you were hit with the killing curse from the man that killed your parents. His name is Tom Riddle, but you would know him as Voldemort."
"Voldemort…So he really is the same man that killed Harry's parents, too," Zeref muttered, more to himself than to Death.
Death nodded his skull head. "Yes he is. Now onto the why of our explanation. The reason you got the power after being hit with the curse from Voldemort is because it was the only way to save you."
This new information confused Zeref, so he asked, "What are you talking about?"
"What I'm saying is that you were not meant to die that day, and you weren't meant to be hit with the curse and become marked like Harry is. I'll tell you about the marking some other time. Right now all you need to know is that it was I that gave you this power by using Voldemort's own curse."
"…Why did you give me this curse?! You just said that you did it to save me, but then why can't I control it?!" Zeref demanded angrily, but bowed his head in grief for the loss of so many people over the 400 years he had lived.
"Your so called curse is not what it seems." Zeref looked up to face Death.
"What do you mean?" he asked softly.
"You became immortal for a different reason than the one for the death magic. You will have to find out the reason on your own, however. As for your death magic, you can't control it because you lack understanding for it. That is one of the reasons why I'm here. I'll be teaching both you and Harry how to control you death magic."
"Why me? At least tell me that. Why do I have this power?"
"This power was needed to truly help you and my master fulfill your destiny."
"Why did the magic go out of control? I know you said it was my lack of understanding, but I can't help but feel there is more to it than that," said Zeref.
"You would be right. Death is something that cannot and should not be avoided. Your power over death is just trying to keep balance, for there have been many humans cheating me. Due to this, death of another must be made to balance out this breach in nature's law. Do you understand what I'm telling you?" Death finished speaking.
Zeref was silent for a moment in thought. 'My death magic only went out of control to balance out the death toll, and also for my ignorance of its power. So if I learn under Death, would that mean I'll be able to control it, and maybe get rid of it?' Zeref voiced his questions.
"You will learn how to control your power while under my guidance. As for getting rid of such power, there is only one way. You have to complete what fate has lain out before you, and once you do, your power, as well as you immortality, will no longer be yours."
'I'll be mortal again too!? Please, someone tell me I'm not dreaming!'
~Flashback: Horcrux Hunt~
Voldemort just had to ruin a good thing, didn't he? It was Bill and Fleur's wedding day when they were attacked by Death Eaters, making Harry, Hermione, and Ron run for it by Apparating out of there. Present Harry thought that they should have been clearer as to where they should land, because they were almost hit by a double-decker bus.
Later they found out that the Ministry was taken. This didn't surprise Harry at all, because the new minister – when they met him at Dumbledore's will reading – was worse than Fudge. That was the only thing that shocked Harry. He didn't think anyone could be worse. What he meant by worse, he meant weak willed. He wasn't minister for 2 years and already he handed the Ministry over to the Death Eaters, but died as a result because he was of no use to them anymore.
Harry and his friends had gone to Grimmauld Place after they ran from the wedding crashers, and tried to find out how to destroy horcurxes. They found out that only two things could work, but Hermione didn't really tell Ron and Harry what one of them was. Harry could understand, because he was sure he or Ron – or both – might have tried it anyway and most likely kill themselves in a raging, cursed, fiery, blaze.
They did find out who it was that switched the real Horcrux with the fake, and that was Sirius Black's brother, Regulus Black. He betrayed Voldemort after he learned the truth about his immortality, and stole the item that he knew was containing his master's soul fragment. He died just after getting the locket, and his house elf couldn't destroy it because he didn't know how. Now they had to find out where the locket was, so they went to Kreacher.
Kreacher told them that the locket was stolen by someone who was part of the order. They were able to track him down, and they found out that the man sold the locket to someone. That someone being a person both past and present Harry didn't ever want to see again. That person was Umbridge.
They snuck into the Ministry under polyjuice, and… of course Umbridge was giving an unfair trail to some poor muggleborn. Harry took great pleasure in knocking her out and stealing the horcurx again. Although, present Harry now wished he could have told Voldemort what happened to his locket. Maybe he would have killed her for claiming it was a part of her family line.
They had the locket within their grasp, but now they needed to find the Sword of Gryffindor so they could destroy it. They took turns in holding the locket, but it would mess with their heads and make them all snappy. Ron was the most affected by it, for he ran off on his own after he and Harry fought. While Harry was looking for Ron, he found the sword, but there was a problem. In was under a lake. Why didn't he take the locket off before he jumped in? He would have surely been able to get the sword with no problem if it weren't for the cursed item. The locket tried to choke him. It knew what he was planning on doing with that blade, and it wasn't having it. Harry wasn't sure how he survived that incident, but he learned later on that it was Snape that save his life that day. Speaking of saving the day, Ron came out of nowhere with the sword and destroyed the horcurx, saving Harry again from the darn locket.
The trio relaxed for a little bit, but Harry slipped and said Voldemort's name. Present Harry wondered why they didn't just use the name Tom for when they spoke of him. Why did they stick with calling him Voldemort?
They were caught by snatchers and brought to Malfoy Manor, but not before Hermione hit Harry in the face with a jinx to make his face blow up like he was stung by a hundred bees. Harry and Ron were tossed into a cell with the kidnapped wand maker, Luna, and Griphook the goblin while Hermione was being tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange. They were to stay there until Voldemort showed up, but present Harry had something to say about this: why did Voldemort fly instead of Apparating? He would have been there and killed them a long time ago, but no…~ he was just way too overconfident.
It was thanks to Dobby that they all managed to escape, but at the cost of Dobby's life. The worst part was they didn't notice at first that Dobby was hit until Harry noticed the sad smile on his face. Harry then noticed the blood on the house elf's back, as well as the dagger. The sight of the blood made the boy-who-lived dash over to his little friend and caught him before he could fall to the ground. Dobby died in Harry's arms after telling him how glad he was to have met him.
After they buried Dobby's body, they left for Shell cottage.
Present Harry was sad when he remembered that he had a godson that he never got the chance to take care of due to Voldemort's spell that put them to sleep for 500 years. Young Teddy was just born and Harry was named godfather. The young wizard felt honored, but with Voldemort alive Harry couldn't have nice things; therefore, Harry was given more reason to end the war fast.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione figured out where the next Horcrux was: it was at Gringotts. Harry made a deal with Griphook to lead them to Bellatrix's vault in exchange for the Sword of Gryffindor. He agreed to it, but maybe Harry should have been a bit clearer on his offer, because the goblin backstabbed them later on.
They had gone in the bank with Hermione looking like Bellatrix, and Harry cursing one of the goblins with the imperius curse. They went to the vault, found the cup, and tried to get out, but everything within the vault was doubling and Griphook took the sword and left them to fend for themselves while also calling in more goblins.
Hermione came up with the craziest plan ever. The plan was to free the dragon and ride it out. This plan somehow worked, but now Voldemort knew they were after his only means for living past 55 years. There were only two left and they were going to be the hardest to get, and now harder to destroy due to losing the sword. Well, it was a good thing that a corps of a basilisk was still in the chamber.
Harry, Hermione, and Ron had to go to Hogwarts while Voldemort was away so they could get the crown of Ravenclaw. That Horcrux was destroyed thanks to Crabbe being an idiot and using Fiendfyre to try and kill them.
Ron and Hermione went on their own to destroy the cup in the Chamber of Secrets. Harry had no idea how they were going to get into the chamber without him, but they did it. Now all that was left was Nagini – or so they thought.
The battle of Hogwarts had started, and many people have lost their lives. Snape was one of the few people that died, but by Nagini's fangs. Harry and his friends were there to see it happen and it was here that Harry got Snape's memories of what Dumbledore had planned for him. Harry was not happy, and present Harry was just glad that this plan had even worked at all.
Harry was a Horcrux and had to die by Voldemort's hands. If it wasn't Voldemort that did it, then there was a good chance Harry would not have come back. Still, this plan made present Harry question if Dumbledore was really a good guy. Didn't his brother say that he and the dark lord before Voldemort were buddies? …Yes, he did.
Harry told his friends to kill Nagini before he left to die. Before confronting Voldemort, Harry spoke to his dead family by using the resurrection stone. Sirius told him that dying was faster than falling asleep, so he won't feel a thing. He was right; Harry didn't feel any pain what-so-ever when he was hit with the killing curse.
While dead, Harry met Dumbledore. They spoke for a little while, and Harry even saw what was in him the day his parents were murdered. The fragment of Voldemort was gross to look at, but Harry couldn't help but feel pity for the rejected creature.
Harry came back to life, but continued to play dead. The only one that knew for a fact he was alive was Draco's mother, Narcissa Malfoy. She asked him if Draco was alive, and Harry told her that yes, he was. It was here that Harry felt pride and respect course through him when Narcissa lied to Voldemort face, and got away with it too.
Harry waited until they were at Hogwarts before announcing that he was still alive by rolling out of Hagrid's, strong arms and throwing curses. He and Voldemort went at it for a good while, but then Voldemort used that spell that knocked everyone out for 500 years. Present Harry had no idea who lived and who died during the second round, all he knew was that Lupin and Tonks have passed on, but he was clueless as to whom else.
Harry guessed he'll find out who survived that battle when the others wake up from the spell. He was positive that they will return like he and Voldemort already had. He just has to wait a bit longer for his friends to do the same.

Finally these flashbacks are over! XD That felt like it took forever, but now that it is done I can focus on training. It won't be as long as this, but that is fine. I'm sure many of you want to get to the GMG, right?
Anyway, Zeref has started to understand his powers, but there are still things he must learn before he can control them. :)
Zeref: Of course there are. -_-
Natsu: Hey, look on the bright side: you will be able to control them.
Harry: Natsu's got a point.
Voldy: *sizzle sizzle*
Harry: ...You mean to tell me... that Voldemort has been in that flammable state this whole time? 0.o
Enj/Dark: Oops…I forgot to turn him back. ^^' *snaps figures, turning Voldy back to his normal-ish form.* It is your turn, Voldy.
Voldy: Review! PLEASE! DX I need to get this story over with so she will stop torturing me!
Harry: That's NOT going to happen. She has more fanfic ideas with you in them.
Natsu: Tough luck man! ;P
