Hey guys! After this chapter, I am going to finish up the 7-year time skip. We'll see how Voldemort is doing and see everyone from Hogwarts leave their own frozen time zone. That should be fun. Also, it will take three weeks for the next chapter to come out. The reason is because I'm taking next week off, and the week after that I'm working on 'Our Shinigami Brother'.
Anyway, I believe that is enough talk for right now. Let's move onto the chapter! ^-^

Harry learned a good amount of spells within the year he started training with Death and Zeref. Now he was learning a new spell from the book Soul Manipulation. The book spoke about how Harry would be able to trap anyone with a soul – no matter how big or small, and it also didn't matter if the soul was dead or alive – and keep them in place. The spell was called Signum Animae.
'This spell would be good to use on Voldemort,' Harry thought.
Harry laid the book down and walked over to Death.
"Are you done reading about the spell?" Death asked, and Harry nodded in reply. "Good, now let's get started."
Harry took out his wand and waited for Death's signal. Death pointed to the wandering soul of a man that had a Blue Skull symbol on his face. Harry had started seeing ghosts after reading a certain page in Necromancy. Death had told him that being able to see the dead came in handy when dealing with them.
"I want you to capture that one for me." Death pulled out his scythe after speaking. "I also want you to watch carefully. You may run into more wandering, violent souls like this one. You won't use a scythe, like me, but there is a spell that will allow you to do the same."
'Which book is that spell in?' Harry wondered, but decided to hold off on that until later. Right now he had a soul to trap.
He pointed the elder wand toward the ghost. He was meant to draw a circle, so he spun his wand by rolling his wrist, making sure to capture the image of the ghost within the circle. Once he had that, he said, "Signum Animae."
Harry stood there for a few seconds, but nothing happened. Harry stared blankly ahead for a moment, and then pulled his wand up in front of his face. "What did I do wrong?" he questioned.
"When you drew the circle, you didn't put magic behind it. A white trail should have followed the wand's movement," explained Death. "Try it again. Make sure the magic is death magic."
"Right…" said Harry. Harry focused on the cold and dark feeling of the death magic and pushed it into the wand. He drew the circle again, this time the white line Death mentioned formed in front of him. Harry said the spell again, and this time it worked. The same circle appeared on the ground below the ghost, stopping him in his tracks.
"Once the ghost is trapped within the circle, you have a minute to work," said Death, who started to make his way toward the trapped ghost. "This sounds like a lot of time, but you could be in the middle of a fight, and you trapped the leader of a dark guild within this circle. Other members will try to stop you, wasting your time." Death was now in front of the struggling ghost. "So it is best you have someone with you to hold them off while you go in and send the soul off to heaven, hell, or limbo – depending on the crime that of the soul did. Voldemort's soul would be forever trapped in limbo." Death slashed the former Blue Skull mage with his scythe. The ghost screamed and was dragged down by red limbs. "This soul only killed other humans, so his soul went to hell."
Both Harry and Zeref shivered, but it wasn't because they were cold. They were souls; they didn't feel the temperature like they would in their human bodies.
"Now then, since you know how to use that spell, I think it is time you learn how to tell when someone is close to death. Have you read the page I told you to?" Death asked Harry.
Harry nodded. "Yes, I did." He had read the page last night. It told him what a human's life force felt like. The other pages told him of different creatures' life forces, including a phoenix. That told him that phoenixes can die. At least he thought so; he didn't get the chance to read the entire page.
"Good, then let's get going. Zeref, you're coming too," said Death.
"Wait, how are we supposed to do this?" asked Zeref. "No one is flowing with time right now, so how are we going to do this?"
"We're leaving the island," replied Death. "It will be easier that way. While time flows, so does life. This will make feeling the life force simple."
Both Harry and Zeref made an "O" shape with their mouths. They nodded their heads in understanding and walked over to the grim reaper. "So how are we leaving the island?" asked Harry.
Death held out his arm. "Grab hold," he instructed. Harry and Zeref looked at each other, and then Harry shrugged his shoulders. They grab hold of Death's arm, and the next thing the two knew, they were in a hospital.
"Why did you bring us here?" Harry asked. Before getting an answer, though, a nurse walked right through him. "AH!" Harry shouted in shock. That had freaked him out. "That felt weird," he stated.
"We're here because this is the one place that has different levels of life. Babies are born here, those who are sick or healthy, and the elderly can all be found here. I figured that going to a place like this would be easier than going to other places for new examples," explained Death. "Now follow me to the nursery."
The three made their way to where the babies were located, and when they got there. Death chose a baby wrapped in blue and stood next to his crib.
"I want both of you two to feel out for this little one's life force. It shouldn't be hard since there is still a lot of it," said Death.
Harry and Zeref felt out for the warm buzzing of energy that was known to come from living humans. It took Zeref half an hour to find it, but it took Harry almost two hours. He had a hard time figuring it out because he wasn't sure if he was imagining it or if he was indeed feeling the child's life force.
"It feels…bright, not just warm and buzzing with energy," said Harry.
"That is correct, Harry. Babies are innocent beings, so their life force is brighter than older humans," said Death. "Now that you have felt this, let's move onto an elder."
They left to go to the nursing home of the hospital, where all the elderly are. They went to stand in front of an elderly woman. Harry would've guessed that she was in her late 70s to early 80s.
"Now I want you to feel out for this lady's life energy. It will be weaker, lazier, and dull, but you should still feel the warm and buzzing feel along with all of those; however, the warm part will feel like it cooled down. This happens when someone's life is closer to death."
Harry and Zeref did as Death told, and felt for the energy. It took them longer than the last time since the life force was so small. This time it took Zeref an hour, whereas for Harry it did take him two hours in full this time.
"That is tiny…" said Zeref. "How long does this woman have left?"
"I'll tell you when we check out our last life of the day," replied Death. "Let's go to the sickbay."
Death leads them to where the mortally sick patients were and picked a room. To Harry and Zeref, it was like Death was picking people at random this whole time, but he wasn't. They were about to find out just how precise the grim reaper was being with his choices.
The patient on the bed was a middle-aged woman. Her skin was deathly pale with a hint of green. Her hair was greasy, wild, and laid flat around her head. Her skin was also sunk in, hugging her bones. This woman appeared to already be knocking on Death's door.
"This will be the hardest one to feel because her life force is dangerously low. Be patient, you two, for this will take you a bit of time," said Death.
Harry and Zeref got to work on feeling out the sickly woman's life force, only for it to take them four hours to find it.
"You would think we would have found that sooner after being able to find the others," said Harry.
"It must have something to do with how they feel. The baby's life had a bright feeling to it, the elder had a dull and weak feeling, and this one…her life feels drained. Like it is being sucked out by a leech," said Zeref.
"Great way of explaining, Zeref," said Death. "Her illness is draining her of her life force. With how low it is, she will die tomorrow."
Harry's eyes widened. "Tomorrow!? Isn't there any way to save her?" he asked.
Death shook his head. "No, she is meant to die then. Her cause of death is an illness. So this is her time. She has already fulfilled her life's mission."
"Is that why her life force feels lower than the elder's?" asked Zeref.
Death nodded. "Yes, the elder still has a year to live. Now, I'm going to teach you how to give someone a peaceful passage."
"Wait… you said she still has until tomorrow, didn't you?" asked Harry.
"Yes, which is why I'm just going to tell you now and wait till tomorrow to show you," said Death. "How I send someone on their way is through touch. What I showed you earlier is how I handle those who need force. People who go to Hell or limbo need a forceful passage, but not those who go to heaven. This young lady hasn't done a single bad thing in her life, so she gets Death's Touch."
"… why did 'Death's Touch' sound more like a name of an ability?" asked Zeref.
"It's because it is a name. I'll be teaching you two how to do this. All you have to do is wrap your hand in death magic while thinking of whom it is you want to send into eternal sleep, and then lay your magic covered hand on any part of their body. It is easiest to touch the head or shoulder when doing this," explained Death.
Harry was saddened that there is nothing he can do to save the young lady, but at least he will know how to give someone rest by putting them to sleep…even though it's permanent. "You'll be showing us how to do this tomorrow?" Harry asked.
Death nodded his head. "Yes, but for now let's leave. There is something I need to take care of."
"What's that?" Zeref asked, but he didn't get his answer until they returned to Tenrou.
*"Some poor sucker got buried when he wasn't supposed to die yet. So I have to go and dig him up and revive him," said Death as he pulled out a shovel from nowhere.
Harry made a face. "Where did you pull that out from?"
"What? I'm Death. I always carry a shovel for reasons like this," he said.
"Then why didn't you use it to dig up the skeletons when teaching me how to animate them?"
"I didn't dig them up, because I won't always be there to dig them up for you when you need to use it. Now I'll be going. I'll be back tomorrow." With that said, Death left, leaving Harry and Zeref to rest for the night.

The next morning came quickly, too quickly for Harry and Zeref. They didn't want to see someone die, but it was part of their training – it didn't mean that they had to like it, though.
Death brought them back to the sick lady, who now looked worse than before.
'How is that possible?' both Harry and Zeref thought.
They watched Death carefully as he covered his bony hand in magic that feels cold and dark to them, and then laid it onto the young, sickly woman's forehead. The lady sucked in one more breath before letting it out in relief.
Harry felt a tear leave his eyes and quickly wiped it away. Zeref saw this and placed his hand on his friend's shoulder. "Never forget this feeling, Harry. Always remember those that have passed away, always remember their faces, because there may come a time when everyone will forget."
Harry took a deep breath to calm his nerves, and then give Zeref a small, sad smile. "Thank you, Zeref. I will always remember her face," he said.
"As will I."
"That is great advice, Zeref. I also remember all those I have given peaceful passage to. I don't really bother with those I had to force, but people like this woman always find themselves in a special place in my mind," said Death. "Let's go back so I can tell you one more thing before we continue with training."
They leave to go back to the island, where Death said, "Once you both get familiar with the feel of one's life force, I will teach you how to see how much longer that person has to live. It will appear as a number with a letter next to it. Those letters are Y, M, W, and D. They stand for year, month, week, and day. So if you see someone with 20Y above their heads it means that they have 20 years left to live. Do you understand?"
Harry and Zeref nodded to show they did understand.
"Good, then let's get started on how to use the cloak of invisibility."

This is not a bad size chapter. Like I said in the AN above, I'll update again in three weeks. Chapter 92 is going to be the last training chapter, and it will show clips of those who fought in the Battle of Hogwarts and at the end show Voldemort. I'm going to be vague with the clips of everyone – Voldemort not included – because I know they are going to tell Harry about it. So I figured I'll just wait till they tell him.
*The shovel wasn't my idea, but I liked it. The one who came up with it was midnightscar17. They said that all Death was missing was a shovel, so I found a funny way to place a shovel in there. I hope you all enjoyed that. ^-^
Harry: YAY, MY FRIENDS ARE ALMOST BACK! XD
Zeref: Someone's happy.
Natsu: And someone else is sad! :) *points to Voldemort*
Voldy: What about my Death Eaters?
Enj/Dark: There might still be some alive…but since they are all idiots I don't have a lot of hope for them.
Natsu: What do you mean?
Enj/Dark: I mean they might find themselves killed or thrown in prison by someone powerful. Wizards are not creative enough to save themselves from the nowadays mages.
Voldy: Now that she mentions it, she has a point. Oh well. *shrugs*
Harry: That's harsh, but not surprising.
Enj/Dark: Zeref, it's your turn.
Zeref: Please review! :)
