Chapter 10: Taris

Vette –

Biting her lip, she watched Taunt's face as Sarik had his way with her friend. Taunt was laid on her back, Vette tossed on top of her with their breasts pressing together and their faces inches apart, giving her a perfect view of the reluctant pleasure on Taunt's face. She knew this was going to happen, and she'd begged Sarik to buy her friend, knowing that he'd want them both together like this.

She could read Taunt well, and despite the pleasure Sarik was inflicting on her, she could also see the anger and shame her friend was experiencing. It sent a shiver of fear through her body, worrying that Taunt would try something stupid. Sarik was unnaturally reasonable for a Sith, but he was not to be tested.

As he railed Taunt, his hands played with her ass, groping and squeezing as Vette waited for her turn. She wasn't waiting for long, Sarik sliding out of Taunt and right into her in a single, swift movement. Every thrust made her body jolt forwards, making her and Taunt's hardened nipples rub together, and with a gesture, he pushed her head down with the Force, making them kiss.

As their lips were pushed together, she felt Taunt move and begin to truly kiss her, giving in and returning the kiss as Sarik dominated them both. Sarik switched between the two Twi'lek pussies in front of him, using his hands on the girl left unfucked, and it wasn't long before Vette came around his cock.

She hadn't even finished cumming before Sarik had pulled back, flipping her and Taunt over before sliding right back into her friend's defenceless body. Taunt gasped from the forceful thrusts, letting out a yelp as Sarik let out the tiniest amount of lightning and shocked her.

He liked the way it made them tighten up, but while Vette could secretly admit that she found it kinda exciting, Taunt's expression told her that Taunt didn't agree. Not that Sarik needed Taunt's approval, something he happily demonstrated as he sheathed himself in Taunt and groaned.
Taunt's face told her how much she didn't enjoy getting creampied by their Sith master, but before Sarik could notice, Taunt fixed her expression. Taunt had been a slave longer than her; this was hardly her first time serving a master.

Sarik pulled back, Taunt collapsing on top of her, and he went to speak before he paused and looked off into space. She knew that he was sensing something through the Force, and with a frown, he grabbed his robe.

"Girls, keep the bed warm. I will be back soon enough," Sarik ordered, making her nod as Taunt rolled off her.

"Yes, master," Vette agreed, her tone more submissive than usual. Without another word, he marched out of the room, leaving her and Taunt alone. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, Vette," Taunt promised, panting slightly as she spread her legs and looked down at where Sarik's seed was leaking from her bright-red cunt. Despite Taunt's words, she could see Taunt's anger.

"We can't escape," Vette warned, making Taunt blink as Vette reached out and touched the mark Sarik had made on Taunt's body. "The Empire know us now; we played with fire one too many times."

"The Vette I know wouldn't just roll over and accept being a slave," Taunt countered, but Vette shook her head.

"I'm not stupid. Sarik's a good man for a Sith. If anyone else had been given me, I'd probably be dead or wishing I was. Sure, he's horny but I can handle that," Vette pointed out. "But if I try to run? There is nowhere we could go that he wouldn't follow us, and I've seen what happens to people who anger him. Trust me, this is better than the alternative."

She didn't understand the Lore of Plagues thing that Sarik used, but she'd seen the giant pulsating boils growing on the faces of his enemies and heard how his Overseer had rotted from the inside. Her best bet was to get Sarik's approval through her training and not anger the very dangerous Sith.

"So we just accept the collars around our necks and thank him for it?" Taunt whispered, a frown on her face.

"Would you rather go back to Balmorra?" Vette asked, watching as Taunt flinched back violently. She hadn't missed the new scars Taunt had or the way she jumped at loud noises. "I took a big chance asking Sarik to buy you, but we both owe him. It's not perfect, but just play nice, okay? Sarik won't seriously hurt you unless you give him a reason. Besides, I have a plan."

Taunt didn't reply but smiled as Vette touched her hand. It didn't reassure her. If Taunt tried anything… they'd both pay the price.

Sarik –

Taunt is going to betray me.

I should know. I'm using the mark to slowly influence her thoughts towards disobedience and freedom. She's going to be the next piece in Vette's training, but first, I need to push her enough for her to risk escaping without seeming too cruel to Vette.

Entering my 'office', I smile to myself as I sense Vette's worry through our bond. Taris is a Republic planet, technically. I've told Juno to set us down a distance away from the Republic camp, where Governor Saresh is hard at work trying to put this doomed planet back together.

There is an Imperial presence on Taris, but a small one. They're tasked with keeping this ruined planet in pieces. Taris is too close to certain key Imperial planets for us to allow the Republic to repair it and use it as a staging ground for the inevitable war.

I'm not going to use the Imperial assets; I don't know enough about them, and their resources are already laughably lacking. However, I also decided not to try to pose as an escaped slave. Partially out of pride but also because if my name had already reached Balmorra, I should assume the Republic has already heard of me as well.

Don't get me wrong, the Republic forces on Taris are stretched thin dealing with the Rakghouls and incredibly slow-going rebuilding, but landing in their spaceport only to find that they already know what I look like would just be embarrassing and potentially fatal.

There are plenty of pirates and smugglers using Taris as a base of operations, and this ship has advanced stealth capabilities. It's better to land some distance away and work from there.
It's dangerous for most, given the nature of the wildlife, but with me, Vette, Kory and Khem, we'll be fine. Khem's the other reason I decided not to land with the Republic. Maybe I could pass myself off as an escaped slave, but Khem is a giant, flesh-eating monster. Dashades are rare enough and he's barbaric enough that our cover would get blown real quick.

The main threat here isn't Aayla herself, annoyingly. She's a powerful Jedi knight, but with the right tricks and preparation, I think we could take her down. No, my biggest issue is that she has a battalion of the Republic military with her. Whatever she's looking for, it's important enough for her to get sent here with just over five hundred Republic troops. It's a small deployment in the grand scheme of things, but that's still five hundred armed men between me and my target.

With the reports from Imperial Intelligence, I can see that she arrived at the spaceport in the Olaris Reclamation Base. She briefly met with Governor Saresh; however, she left shortly afterwards and went into the wilds.

Governor Saresh was disappointed because she'd believed they were there to help the Taris Resettlement Initiative. She's an ambitious but popular Senator. Imperial Intelligence thinks that if the Taris Resettlement goes well, she could end up the next Supreme Chancellor.

What they don't know is what the hell Secura is looking for out there in the wilds that would have her refuse to help with the Resettlement.

Going over the other intel on Taris, I chuckle. This place is a hotbed of activity despite the devastation.

First, we have a fallen Jedi leading a cult of Nikto who worship her as their saviour, wanted by the Republic for stealing important artefacts and technology before she fled to Taris with her followers.

Then we have a defector wanted by the Imperial Military for desertion. One Elara Dorne served in the Imperial Army for two years before she defected to the Republic and has since served in the Republic Military. She's proven talented and highly effective due to her familiarity with Imperial Army protocols, but her superiors don't trust her, so she ends up on backwater planets like this. She earned more commendations in her two years with the Imperial Military than most do in ten. She's earned even more in her time with the Republic.

There's potential here.

The Rakghouls are created by a plague, and I do love plagues. The Dark Council wants me to prove myself by taking out a target, and while I do plan to deal with Aayla.. how much better would I look if we took out a planet?

With the right leverage of my Lore of Plagues, I could have the Olaris Reclamation Base overrun and wiped out by Rakghouls, and the death of a Republic Senator would only add to the blow. If I can claim the Rakghouls, I could make this planet my own personal base of operations.

Feat Achieved: Fuck Taunt (50cp), Successfully make an alliance with Darth Lachris (100cp). 150cp granted.

100cp granted. 250cp total.

Huh, that's oddly delayed. I hope my holocron isn't getting faulty.

[Feet of Air] - 200cp, 50cp remaining

Quick, nimble, and deadly as the wind. That's what you've become. Your movements are incredibly quick and swift, able to move faster than the untrained eye can follow. In addition to being a bit faster, you're able to leap great distances and run along flat surfaces as though you were the wind itself, your body much lighter for the purposes of jumps and acrobatics.

Never mind, I think it's working just fine. Force Speed is by no means a secret technique but this is the equivalent of having it active all the time.

[Estate] - 50cp, 0cp remaining

This estate is, at a glance, quite luxurious and comes with all of the accommodations which you might expect from a manor of its size. The estate, as well as the grounds and attachments which it comes with, reside within your astral plane but can be summoned into reality.

Huh, and that's how I discover that I have an astral plane. Feeling it in the back of my mind, I can sense that it is some form of pocket dimension, in which I now have a sprawling, fancy estate not entirely unlike the one my former owner had.

One day, I'm going to work out what the hell this Holocron is because pulling an entire pocket dimension out of thin air is a little ridiculous.

Still… getting back to the task at hand, I get to work plotting how in the hell I'm supposed to go about this.

One Jedi Knight, five hundred soldiers and a planet that is hostile to literally everything that has the gall to exist on it. This won't be easy, but that's why I picked this planet and this target. I also can't risk anyone learning of my part in this because we are technically at peace. It's a large part of why I don't want to use the Imperial forces on Taris; they're not supposed to be here either. They're mostly dealing with covert ops and guerilla warfare.

If I do everything right, I won't just prove that my defence works against Jedi; I'll have dealt a devastating blow to the Republic and proven that I am useful to the Empire. It'll make sure that I get to keep the freedom and connections that my mission has granted me.

By becoming the Empire's secret weapon against the Republic, it'll come with fame, fortune, connections and most importantly… freedom. The freedom to come and go as I please, to travel without anyone, not even Lord Zash, being able to command me.

Darth Lachris –

Sarik was already proving to be worthy of her time.

When his first plan was to let some of her prisoners go, she'd almost sliced the head of his statue, but as they looked over the report, she smiled. The recent break-out of Sobrik's prison had looked bad until the heroic escapees carried one of Sarik's plagues right back to the resistance.

He called it the Mantle of Contagion, inflicting those who escaped with a delayed disease that they carried to their allies. It wasn't deadly because this was nothing more than a test run with some escaped prisoners that had no value to her.

No, this disease was aimed at breaking morale. It caused maddening itches all over the body, made sleeping nearly impossible and caused painful boils to grow on the victim. More importantly, it only affected those who were neither Human nor Sith.

Her almost entirely human forces were fine, while the mixed-race rabble that made up the resistance was struggling to do anything as this rash spread through their ranks and drove them to madness.

Sarik had his rats and 'Rachni' follow them back to Bugtown, the horde of furry critters acting as Sarik's eyes and ears within the walls of the Resistance. It led them to discover the location of Retheus Galthe, the President of Balmorra, who had refused to submit to the Sith.

She personally collected the coward, who was serving as an excellent test subject for Sarik. When the resistance saw what became of their precious leader, it would break them even more.

Glancing at where the stony visage of Sarik was going over the plans, she smiled grimly. She could see why Sarik had the attention of the Dark Council, and as any Sith should, she knew she had to use him to advance her own position and power.
Still, there was no reason they couldn't use each other and both benefit, as he'd suggested. As they discussed the plans for Grand Marshal Cheketta, who led the 'rogue' Republic forces on Balmorra, she smiled grimly.
Balmorra would break, and the Dark Council would see the value of both her and Sarik. With Balmorra under her command, she'd be all the more valuable to Sarik, and that would mean she could get even more out of him.

Tai Cordan –

Despite how he'd missed his home, he couldn't deny that he felt a shiver of worry as they set course for Balmorra. He hadn't been home since he, and most of the Balmorran government, had been forced into exile by the Empire.

The Rift Alliance didn't have the power to help Balmorra, and the Republic had abandoned them before, but as his eyes went to the Barsen'thor, who was meditating, he took a deep breath. He'd seen her prowess when she'd saved them aboard the Fortitude, and this was the best chance to free his home from Imperial occupation.

Quest Section — VOTING CONCLUDED

How should Sarik try to get Aayla?

Use the Fallen Jedi and her Nikto Cult.

Rile up the Rakghouls and lure them to Aayla.

Kidnap Governor Saresh and use her as bait.

Use the Torii gates to get help from Balmorra.

Use Mara to get aid from Imperial Intelligence.

All of the above (or some, to be decided by Author bullshit).

Should Sarik try to claim Taris?

No, focus on the mission. Take down Aayla and leave.

Yes, try to destroy the Olaris Reclamation Base and cripple the Republic's attempts.

Author's Note: Taris has quite a lot of hot girls, and only half of them are voiced by Laura Bailey.
Shorter chapter this week because it's mostly set up for the Taris arc. I played through Taris on my Trooper, and before I did that, I forgot that the future Supreme Chancellor is just vibing in a barely defended base on Taris for most of the game.

Writing these takes a decent amount of research due to the nature of SWTOR. Every planet has its own story arc, then eight different character class storylines that I need to take into account.

I really need to stop giving my characters multi-form since I now have to track Balmorra and Taris at the same time. Gotta love making work for myself. And before any of you lore nerds try to point out that the Rift Alliance and The Barsen'thor don't come to Balmorra for another year in lore, I both know and don't care.

It took me a while to decide if the other main characters existed. Sarik is obviously the Sith Inquisitor mixed with the Sith Warrior. That leaves six more playable characters out there.
