Chapter 12
Kaname stare out the window at the trees, shrouded in dark, waiting. Though Zero went back to bed, reluctantly, without him.
"Calling you my nephew is unpleasant, Senri barge into his office, Takuma close behind, ten years ago you mercilessly tore me apart to almost mothing, he glare at the brunette's back, it took me just as long to regenerate, guess I should thank my heritage for surviving, he smirk, oh thank you so much for disposing of my disobedient fiancé, Shizuka, its a welcome load off my mind, it would've taken too much to make her as obedient like this boy's mother, a waste of time really" he shrug carefree, tone flippant.
"Such a spoil brat, Kaname sighs, you haven't changed, chatty as always, he glance over his shoulder with a bored expression, I may want you dead in vengeance, uncle, but make no mistake, I feel nothing towards you" he really doesn't care mush for his current self goals, only the ones that benefits him and his mate.
Senri eyes narrow, resting a hand on his hip, unamused while Takuma watch the exchange lost.
"You will be put down like the rabid dog you are to keep a promise" Kaname shift slightly, half turn sideways, eyes glowing crimson but before he could launch an attack, his bedroom door open.
"Don't you think that's enough" Zero close the door behind then walks to his mate, ignoring the duo, especially Takuma's surprise at Zero exiting Kaname's bedroom dressed in the pureblood's clothes.
"Let's not rush things, Zero wrap sleeve covered arms around his mate's neck, your poor office would need remodeling which I won't repair, though I could be persuaded, for a price" he smirk slyly up at the pureblood.
Kaname pull him closer with an arm around slim waist, "Oh, I'm sure I can afford it" his full attention shifts to his lovely mate.
"For now I suggest going to your rooms" Zero advise over his shoulder, sapphire slit eyes stare into intrigued mix-colored gaze.
"Well this is an interesting development, Senri chuckles, for the time being I'll be using the boy's room, I'm in your care Dorm President Kuran" the duo leaves though the blond lingers, hesitant, staring at the, once thought impossible, sight of the two males embracing. Wondering if they're possessed, at seeing the hunter's unfamiliar eyes.
The duo pass a glaring Rima in the hall, Senri smirk, amuse at her suspicion.
"I still don't like the method you'll use to break the seal on Yuki Cross, Kaname Kuran" Zero flop into Kaname's chair, pouting.
"It can't be help" Kaname lean on his desk, staring with soften eyes at his sulking mate.
"I could do it easily" he huffs.
"Without agonizing pain?" he raise a brow.
Zero look away puffing his cheeks.
"Guards will be following her come morning" Kaname play with a lock of silver hair.
"That's sure to cause a stir, Zero huffs standing, pushing his mate's hand away, I'm going back to bed and will attend classes tomorrow."
"I've decided to cancel night classes for the time being" Kaname inform watching Zero, with a soft smile, slam the door shut at his words.
Yuki walk to morning class with Sayori, four night students walking behind.
Some female students, from other classes, watch them leave, whispering amongst themselves about unfair favoritism.
"Couldn't sleep again, Yuki?" Sayori ask at her friend's pale complexion.
"Yeah, but I'm really fine, Its just a lack of sleep" Yuki reassure with a strain smile, 'can you shut up, my head's throbbing, her gaze shift ahead and frown, and I haven't seen Kaname-senpai for a while now, his minions must have informed him about my fainting so why isn't he here checking on me'
"What...hey Akatsuki" Aido, one of Yuki's guard, walking behind, glance at his cousin.
"What?" Kain, another guard, turn his head at his name.
"Over there" Aido motion between the trees, with a tilt of his head.
"Senri, Kain spot two familiar males standing off the path, watching them, when did he get back, and he's with..."
"Ichiru Kiryu" Aido clarify.
"Wonder what that's all about, Rima, he address another fellow guard, walking beside him, do you know-"
"I don't" the model cuts off sharply then walk ahead.
Aido frown wondering if Zero knew his twin is at the Academy. He then suddenly feel nauseous, remembering Kaname and Zero current relationship.
Zero enter the classroom, ignoring the two vampires standing guard, 'I came too early, all to spite Kaname' he tsk moving to sit.
"Look, Zero's back" a classmate whisper to fellow early students gathered.
"Zero are you ok?" a familiar female ask when they flock Zero's seat.
"Were you sick?" one inquire.
"Yeah, you missed a few classes" another input, the others nod in agreement.
"I'm fine now, Ichiru walk in then, just a little sore" he didn't correct, smiling gently.
They blush at his beautiful face, his longer hair further enhance it. The twins may look like mirror reflection of each other, with similar hair length, but to them, in this moment, Zero is prettier.
Yuki try to ignore everything around, resting her throbbing head on fold arms on the desk, 'Why are these headaches getting worst and more frequent these days' she groans.
The image of a bleeding woman reaching for her morph into the form of a young boy.
"Once every ten years" he spoke.
She sits up with a gasp then grabs her head with a wince, 'again?' she whimpers.
"Yuki, maybe you should've skip today" Sayori, sitting beside her, voice concern.
"I-I'm ok, its just a headache" she didn't even bother trying to force a smile, lowing her hand.
Zero watch Yuki silent, cheek resting in palm, 'the seal won't last another day, glowing lavender eyes stares at the, few, rapidly crumbling chains, Kana will have to break it tonight or she'll lose her mind-which would've been fun to watch, I would prefer that outcome but I won't be the cause of Kana breaking a dying promise' he grumbles, shifting his gaze outside, annoy.
At the end of the day, Yuki walking back to the Sun Dorm, suddenly faint as a pulsing ache run throughout her being. One of her guards catch Yuki, preventing a nasty fall, bringing her to the chairman's house instead.
Kaien stare down at his pale adopted daughter, lying in bed in a fitful sleep, expression doleful, 'the happy times have run out, Juri, his gaze soften, I only hope I have the strength to protect your precious daughter.'
"Huh, Senri?" Aido question his cousin, both on guard duty, outside Kaien's house.
"Dorm President is trying to protect Yuki Cross from something" Kain state.
"Ichiru's transfer then Takuma and now Senri..." Aido trails off thoughtful.
"That guy...he's not Senri" Kain growl, still pissed at the redhead earlier assault on Ruka.
Yuki startle awake with a frighten gasp. Sitting up she glance around seeing splashes of blood stains on the walls, 'no-what's happening to me, she stares at trembling blood stain palms, why is this happening to me' chest heaving she glance around franticly.
Brown eyes widen as the gift, from her beloved Kaname, starts to bleed red. Grabbing it quickly Yuki try wiping it clean, to no avail. She pause when it completely stain crimson. Pulling her knees up, the bruntte wrap shaking arms around them, then rest sweaty forehead on one in defeat.
The encase rose slip from slack fingers, land on the bed, roll off, hitting the ground on its side, looking normal.
Yuki, head swimming in a jumble haze, remain unmoving. The sudden cold wind, from the window opening, cause her to look up. The sight of, her beloved, Kaname standing there, expression gentle, first fall of snow flakes blowing in, Yuki burst into tears then rush to embrace him, sobbing. She feel him place a gentle hand on her head, then darkness.
Kaname lift her into his arms, in a bridal carry, then leave back through the window, bringing her to the top of the main building.
"Red snow, Yuki, in a trance, reach for a falling flake, the world is dyed in blood, why?" brown glaze eyes stare into nothingness, prop up against one of Kaname's bend leg, in a sitting position.
"That's enough, Yuki" he bite into her neck, careful not to drink any of her blood.
'Its cold yet I feel warm' Yuki now alert, with the sudden pain in her neck, start to trash, "Kaname-what are you-"
Kaname cover her mouth, with his free hand, silencing her, the other restrain her movement, hands pined to her sides, in a tight hold.
Yuki fall limp after a moment, feeling as though her entire being instantly turn to stone then brake into a million pieces.
Kaname pull away, after releasing enough venom, emotionless he spit Yuki's blood staining his fangs to the side. Biting into his wrist Kaname brings it to her lips.
The smell of pure blood in the air catches every sensitive nose attention.
"What the!" Kain voice shock, still outside the chairman's house.
"This is..."Aido's eyes widen, now perplex.
"It can't be" Ruka, staring out a open window, whispers in disbelief.
Kaien glance outside with resign resolve.
They all suddenly feel the presence of another pureblood.
Yuki's eyes slowly open, which she doesn't remember closing, when the taste of familiar blood on her tongue finally register, 'this taste...it's Kaname's blood.'
"Do you remember who I am, Yuki?" Kaname ask, pull his healing wrist away, watching her daze expression.
Yuki blinks up at him, eyes clearing, raise a palm to cup his cheek, tears up in happiness, "you're my older brother"
Kaname grab her wrist before she could touch him.
"Not quite, a familiar voice interrupts before Kaname could speak, how long are you going to be holding her like that for, Kaname?" Zero appear on the ledge, arms fold across his chest, glaring at their position.
Kaname stands gracefully, placing Yuki on her feet with an amuse chuckle, "not long, just until I return Yuki to her room" he rest an arm around her shoulder in support, given her weaken state after newly awakening.
"Why couldn't you awaken her there then?" Zero turn his back with a huff, shoulder length hair flutter in the wind.
"Would you have remain calm with us alone in her room?"
Yuki glance between them unease.
A strong gush of wind sweeps by, Zero remain silent.
"Whatever, Zero didn't glance back, pouting, when you're done come find me"
"Naturally, Your Highness" Kaname tease watching his mate step off the ledge, leaving.
Yuki remain silent, unhappy with their, suddenly, friendly exchange.
Before she could question Kaname, the pureblood put her to sleep with a spell, pick up her limp body then leap off the building.
