Chapter 14

Rima and Senri trade attacks back and forth while Takuma try to defuse the situation before it escalate further.

"Injuring a models face is pretty low, Rima glowers at the smiling redhead a few feet across from her, cradling an injured arm, at times like this I'm glad to be born a vampire, the wounds on her body close without a scar, I heal quickly."

"Rima please, Takuma steps between them, stay back"

"Takuma, what are you doing?" she ask confuse.

"Please stop, he turn to the redhead, you shouldn't be using Senri like this, you've already made your point"

"In time there will be no one who would dare defy the Senate, just as Asato Ichijo wishes" the possessed male suddenly declare.

"Lord Rido" Takuma stress firm.

"How annoying, Rima glare, electricity starts sparking along manicured fingers startling the blond, possessing Senri's body doesn't give you audacity to act superior, curled fingers flex, whoever you are I'll force you out!"

"Hn, mix-colored eyes turn crimson, you'll find that's not an easy feat" Senri smirk, tone dripping with arrogance, stance relax.

Takuma's eyes widen at the redhead's slight movement, "Rima!" he push her, just in time, from a fatal attack.

"I missed, tone unbothered he retracts crimson whip, don't interfere Ichijo" Senri warns, eyes narrowed.

"Lord Rido, please, enough" Takuma pleas.

"Senri you idiot, Rima scowls from the blonds hold, what are you doing letting someone control you, snap out of it already, Senri!"

Both watch surprise as the redhead falters then double over.

Ichiru stands guard, in a room at the Moon Dorm, anxious, 'just a bit longer, his grip tightens on the sword's hilt, hurry up and come awaken him, Yuki Kuran' lavender eyes glares down at a sealed stone coffin before him.

'I'm a pureblood vampire, Yuki picks up a shard of glass off the floor then cuts her palm, all along I've been like Kaname, she watch the wound heal instantly in fascinated awe, the wall between us no longer exist, my humanity, she move to stare out the destroyed window, no, I can't have what was never there, the cold wind rush inside, now there's nothing to get between us being together, a frown crease smooth forehead, I should end things with Zero now that he's expendable, but keeping him around would be beneficial, convincing him to stay by my side as my loyal knight, should be easy enough, I have been deceiving him for years now, determination paint pale features, I'll go talk to Zero while kaname's occupied'

'What could you possible say to convince him, he hates you now' a female's voice invade her mind.

'Shut up, Yuki shakes her head, he wouldn't dare hate me, his savior, I'll find a way to persuade Zero, I always do' she grin smug.

'You can't play oblivious forever' the voice giggle tauntingly.

"Hey Hanabusa, Kain stare up at Yuki jumping out the damaged room window, the princess seems to be escaping" he ends with a tired sigh.

"Hang on Yuki Cross-I mean Lady Kuran, Aido corrects himself, Lord Kaname ordered us to protect you" he step in her way.

"Step aside, Hanabusa, Akatsuki" Yuki demand.

"We can't do that" Kain states.

"Please go back to your room Yuku-" Aido pause at her glare.

"Out of my way" she shove them aside easily then walk away.

Aido, after righting himself from a stumble, bury his face in both palms then groans in frustration.

"We should go after her before its too late" Kain suggest.

'Like well train dogs, Yuki thought amuse hearing them follow, I think I'll enjoy wielding my authority' a satisfy smile curve soft lips.

Kaname walk from his room, dressed in dark attire, "Seiren, its almost dawn gather those able to move during day hours and have them guard the Sun Dorm, don't let the humans outside"

"As you wish, Lord Kaname" the ninja vampire vanish as quickly and quietly as she'd appear.

Kaname pause, encountering Ruka in the hall.

"I'm aware of the situation, she begins softly, my past behavior is unbecoming and I ask for your forgiveness Lord Kaname, she bows deeply, from now on I will correct my shortcomings, she straightens, I will go be useful at the Sun Dorm" not meeting his gaze Ruka walk pass.

"You're not entirely at fault" gaze ahead, his tone apologetic.

"No, she pause, I was merely dancing alone, Ruka try to maintain a Noble air, clenching tight fists, please don't apologize, Lord Kaname"

"Very well, I'll say this instead, I trust your judgement, Ruka" walking away the pureblood didn't look back.

Ruka turn, watching his retreating back, "thank you for saying that" holding back tears, a slight smile curl cherry lips.

Kaien crouch to open a safe, expression resign, 'the time has come, he takes out a wrapped sword, please give me strength, Juri'

Yuki exit the male Sun Dorm, annoyed at not finding Zero there, 'Where could he be?!'

"Your shoes, Aido holds out a pair of cream, slide-on slippers, I had Ruka fetch them for you"

Ignoring him Yuki run to the forest, heading to check the stable next, 'because of all the muddle presence, tracking him is difficult' "how annoying" she mutters.

"Wait-hey, Aido give chase, you can't run around barefoot, Lady Yuki!"

Kain watch exasperated, ruffling the back of orange hair.

Yuki stop suddenly then lifts a foot, checking the bottom over clothe shoulder.

Aido tense, "don't tell me you hurt yourself!"

"I thought I might've cut the sole of my foot on a sharp rock" she explains.

"Lord Kaname is gonna kill me for this, he pale muttering, never-mind that, put these on, he crouch placing the slippers at her feet, I mean will you please wear them Lady Yuki"

She stare down at him, expression blank, watching him manually place each slipper on her feet, 'who would've thought the day you kneel before me would come so soon, Aido' "I didn't think there would be a day when you call me Lady, Hanabusa" suppressing a pleased smirk, Yuki feign shock.

"Please forgive my previous rudeness, he straighten after a sigh, Lord Kaname will be worried if you don't return to your room soon"

"I'm not going back until I've talked to Zero" Yuki turn then march off to continue her search.

The blond flinch at the hunter's name, 'right she doesn't know, he drag a palm down his face, that's going to be a rather dicey conversation' after releasing a deep breath, Aido follow Yuki.

Kaname enters Takuma's and Senri's Dorm room finding his mate's younger twin.

"What are you doing here?" Ichiru ask coolly.

"Open the coffin, the brunette instruct, shocking the teen, you're free to disobey if you wish" he adds at his hesitation.

"No, I'll gladly comply, after removing the chains, Ichiru slides the heavy lid off, revealing an unconscious male inside, there, do as you wish, he straightens, if you're that much stronger despite both of you being purebloods, surely you could've easily destroy Rido Kuran, Ichiru watch the brunette walk closer to the coffin, yet for some reason chose not to, apathetic burgundy meets burning lavender, unblinking, or perhaps you're unable to"

"If I'd chosen to destroy this beast, Shizuka Hio's fate could've been different, Kaname kneel near Rido's head then place a palm over his non-beating heart, the time you've been waiting for is finally here, Rido" swiftly Kaname unsheathe the sword in Ichiru's hold.

Yagari arrive on Academy grounds, back from the Hunter Association, standing outside the main building. Before he could go further in, a familiar voice stops him.

"Its good to see you again Yagari, Kaien walks up behind, depending on why you're here, I may only ask you leave, immediately" hazel eyes narrow.

"I've been gone for quite some time, the air reeks of something unpleasant, the hunter turn to face his friend, I received an order from the Hunter Association President to kill Zero Kiryu, I'm guessing you're already aware"

"Have you come here to be the front line in their attack?" Kaien ask calm.

"What would you do if I am?" Yagari counters.

"I will show no mercy, the ex-hunter remove his glasses then put them away, not even to you" he shift his stance.

"If you let Zero stay here the Academy will become a battle ground, Yagari warns, reaching over a shoulder to grasp one of two sword hilt, is that what you want?"

"I will protect my son, he grip his sword handle, at all cost"

They stare at the other unblinking.

Yagari smile suddenly, "fine you win, he raise both hands with a sigh in surrender, that's the look I wanted to see, your complacency use to irritate me at times, he lower his hands, I value my life far too much to go against the legendary hunter"

"Kaname what are you doing?!" Takuma arrive just in time to see the pureblood stab the sword into his hand, on Rido's chest, carrying his unconscious mate bridal style, who he then gently lie on his bed.

"Why do you seem so panic, Ichijo, Kaname sounds amuse, its fine, tearing this man to pieces would be pointless since I cannot deliver a death blow, he watch blood wells from the wound, around the sword pierce through the back of his palm into Rido's heart, resurrecting him is vital in dealing with him, burgundy stare down at the unmoving male, he has defile everything in his relentless peruse of this, the purest blood of Kuran, now savor it well Rido"

"What do you mean you can't kill him, Kaname, Takuma shakes his head, no that's not important, he move behind his friend grabbing a shoulder and the hand gripping the sword hilt, listen I don't care what you do to him, his life is meaningless to me but please tell me Kaname, why must you and other purebloods take such extreme measures?!" tone desperate.

Kaname rip his hand off the sword, split from palm middle to gap, between middle and index finger, wordless.

"Fine, widen eyes return to normal then Takuma back away two steps, be that way, blue eyes settles on his sleeping mate after a defeated sighs, but it makes me sad that you still won't confide in me after all these years"

Kaname wipes the blood from his hand while the injury heal quickly, "I injected my blood into his body, he will no longer need to use Senri's, the brunette stands watching their mix blood starts to boil then slowly absorb into Rido's wounded chest, even in such state we can still be resurrected, we purebloods are quite durable aren't we, burgundy gaze finally shift to the blond, unlike us you will still turn to ash if your head or heart is crush or you're somehow beheaded" he remove the sword from Rido's chest handing it back to Ichiru.

The silverette sheath the sword unbothered.

"Ah, Kaname where are you-" Takuma watch him walk to the door.

"So according to your words, you're unable to kill Rido, Ichiru interjects, why is that?"

Kaname pause at the door, contemplative for a few seconds, "Because I'm the Progenitor of the Kurans, Rido is the one who awakened me from my coffin, making him my master" he decides to answer, glancing over a shoulder.

"Its only a matter of time before Lord Rido obtains the blood of a Kuran and resurrect fully, Asato Ichijo speculates staring out his office window, arms crossed, after which I plan to have him replace lord Kaname as Head of the Kuran Family, then the Senate will become even more powerful, a frown crease his brows, but still, there are currently Hunters freely roaming the Academy, and I have to admit, that does worry me" his gaze shift inside to his silent guest.

"I don't understand why, the figure move closer into the moon light, revealing feminine features, dressed elegantly in a five layer Junihitoe Kimono, what is there to worry about, you're well aware Lord Rido is no ordinary vampire" the Hunter Association President states bold.

"I know he has lived many years than I, but in spite of that he's still a child, blue gaze return outside, and it is because of this insolent behavior that I find it hard to understand what he's thinking, and I still have no idea why he's keeping one of the Kiryu twins as his pet" the older blond voice annoyed.

"Well, it could be for a silly reason, he seems to have quite too much time on hand, oh, he raise purple, closed folding fan to hide curl red lips, excuse me, olive green eyes narrow in condescend amusement, I understand you have your concerns but you need not worry about the other twin Ichijo"

The older blond vampire uncross his arms, pushing off from sitting atop his desk, watching the other with narrowed eyes.

"You see that boy, Zero, he was born in the distinguish Kiryu Family, Asato place a veil of crimson liquid atop the desk from one of his desk draw, wordless, but he was transformed into a vampire and drank the blood of the Kuran girl, he walks closer to the desk, I thought perhaps I could use him but unfortunately he seem to have no intention of obeying me, he pick up the veil, so the hunters have deemed him a very dangerous Level E, olive green gaze shifts to meet blue, under my orders" he informs gleefully.
