Disclaimer: I in no way own Harry Potter, although I wouldn't mind one bit if I did.

3: the priestess

After Ginny and I leave Adrianus Mannor we follow the road east for a lit. After reaching a north-south road we turn south. After passing an intersection we continue heading south. After passing by the fountain we turn west. A few feet farther we reached an east-west road and a few feet later turned south. This led us to the door of the General Store. Nodding to each other we enter the store.

The General store wasn't all that big. It consisted of a woman with a name tag that read "Madeline" standing by a counter. There is a locked door in the back left corner. As well as 2 display cases in the back right corner.

Deciding to see if I could help Madeline I walk up to the counter with Ginny following me.

"Whatever you're looking for, I'm sure I have it."

I raise an eyebrow at this statement but decide not to call her out on it. "What can you tell me about the town?"

Madeline looks content. "Farhaven is a good home. Silvershade Mine brings in good money, and the woods to the north are beautiful. Of course, nobody leaves town these days."

I smile at her. "I do."

Madeline looks surprised. "You do? I thought you looked like the adventurous type. Say, maybe you could help me out. With everyone afraid to leave the city walls, most of my 'supply lines' have been cut off. Pretty soon my entire inventory will be gone."

I frown at this information. What is Adrianus doing for his people these days? "I'd be happy to help replenish your inventory if that's what you're asking."

Madeline looks excited. "Wonderful! I'll compensate you for your trouble, of course. I used to get a steady supply of wolf pelts from hunters in Deepwood Forest. Now my supply of furs and leather is almost gone. Could you bring me ~twenty~ wolf pelts? I'll give you a fair price for them."

I smile at Madeline's excitement while taking note of the flashing words over my head. "I should be able to manage that. Let me finish my business here, and I'll start gathering them."

Madeline returns to a professional demeanor. "How else can I help you?"

Deciding we don't need anything else for the moment I bid Madeline farewell and Ginny and I exit the store.

As we step out of the store I glance at my map. Deciding to check on the blacksmith I gesture for Ginny to follow me before starting to walk. I head east until I reach the wall of the tavern. Turning north I follow the tavern wall until I reach An east-west running road. Turning east I follow the road until I see a potion stand to the south. According to my map, I need to head through this potion stand to reach the blacksmith. So turning south I walk toward the potion stand.

Passing through the potion stand I come to a fence separating the forge from the rest of the town. following the fence I find a gate that I walk through. Ginny follows behind me.

walking up to 1 of the 2 men, the 1 standing next to the forge with a name tag with the words "Jerome the armorer", I greet him.

"What's your pleasure, my friend?"

I smile a bit. "Does that guy ever stop hammering?"

Jerome grins. "If he did, I wouldn't have this fine steel to sell you, now would I?"

I giggle a bit before asking. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Jerome looks thoughtful. "Actually, there is. My supply of iron ore is running low. Bring me ~twenty-five~ ingots of ore, and I'll let you have access to my best items. How's that for a deal?"

I nod in agreement. "I'll see what I can do."

Jerome smiles at me. "Much obliged! You'll have to find the ore in the mines to the west. Just watch out for goblins."

Thanking Jerome I step away before checking out the flashing words over my head.

"A new quest, Supply Lines, has been added. I've offered to help Madeline restock the general store inventory. I need to gather 20 wolf pelts and bring them to her. I will be most likely to encounter wolves in Deepwood Forest."

"A new quest, Test Your Metal, has been added. Jerome the Armorer has asked me to help replenish his supply of iron ore. I need to gather 25 ingots of iron ore in the mines to the west."

Nodding to Jerome and his apprentice we leave the forge and head for the east gate leaving the city.

After exiting the east gate We explore the graveyard until we reach a small gate leading farther inward. As we enter the gate we come across a familiar face.

Ginny gasps. "Luna?"

The young woman turns to us. "Jinny, ivy. What are you doing here?"

I smile at finding another of my friends in this world. "I'm here to try and find the source of the attacks coming from the graveyard."

Luna frowns. "I don't understand. Did you mean to come here, despite the danger? I thought you got enough of that back in Hogwarts."

I smile at her. "That's right. I intend to put a stop to the attacks on Farhaven."

Luna's eyes light up. "Truly? Then our goals are the same. In this world, I am known as Alexia, a priestess and, bearer of the holy light. I came here to dispel the evil forces ... but they have proven too much for me."

I grin to myself. "You're right, we have a common goal. It makes sense to work together."

Luna nods to herself. "I think it would be wise. I have knowledge that will help us, and you have the prowess in battle that I lack."

I reach out and take Luna's hand. "It will be my honor to defend you. How should we proceed?"

Luna squeezes my hand. "I've been tracking the source of the power that causes the dead to walk again. I think it is seated in the mausoleum of House Ulcano. But there is a problem. The way is blocked by a powerful magical barrier. The only way to dispel it is to find and neutralize the rune stones that power it."

Giny's eyes light up. "I've heard of spells like that. Bill used to discuss them."

I smile at both girls. "Both of you have valuable expertise. Where will these rune stones be located?"

Luna smiles at Ginny returns the smile. "They can't be far, but I don't believe we'll find them out in the open. Perhaps they are guarded within some of the other mausoleums. Once we find them, I know the incantations to neutralize them."

I pull Luna to 1 side of me and Ginny to the other. "It's an honor to travel with you. I'll do what I can to protect you."

Luna's eyes flash. "I am grateful. But do not underestimate the power of the Divine. Who knows? Perhaps it is I who will safeguard you."
