Family

"Hi." He said.

The room was silent for a moment. Everyone could only stare at Harry in disbelief. Old Harry just stood there, already guessing his family's reaction. Harry's oldest son, James, was the first to recover from his shock.

"He looks so much like you Al." James finally spoke pointing at his brother in amazement. Harry also looked where James was pointing, he had seen the boy in photos but seeing him in person really amazed him. Albus was like a copy of him, but there was something different. Albus had a mole under his eye and Albus looked bigger than Harry. But other than that he was exactly the same as him. They were like twins. Albus had always been told that he was a copy of his father but he never thought they would be this similar.

"At first I thought it was Al too." Said the old Harry sitting beside his wife and kissing her cheek briefly.

"So Harry, sit down." Ginny said kindly after getting over her shock. Seeing her teenage husband was so cute. It reminded her of their school days. Marrying a Harry Potter was a dream for her back then but it was a reality now.

Harry awkwardly sat down next to the empty James. He fiddled with his fingers under the table not knowing what to do.

"So you really Dad?" James said looking at Harry with interest. That one word made Harry's heart flutter. 'Dad' Harry couldn't describe the feeling, it was so strange But warm, he don't know. Harry glanced at his older self uncomfortably, how was he supposed to face his own son when he didn't have any at the moment. Old Harry held back his laughter seeing that moment. Harry snorted in annoyance as his older self seemed to be very happy with the situation.

"Er, yes. But not yet." Harry answered as best he could. This was a ridiculous situation.

"So how old are you?"

"13, 14 on July 31st."

"Wow Al is even older than you."

"Really?" Harry raised an eyebrow wanting to know more about his family.

"Yeah Al was born June 6th." Lily answered first before James. Ginny placed an extra plate in front of Harry.

"Thank you." Harry said.

"You're welcome, sweetheart." Ginny smiled lovingly. She looked like Mrs. Weasley. Of course, she wasn't the little girl Harry knew anymore, she was a mother of three children.

Ginny stopped James and told him to ask him about it later. They started filling their plates and Harry followed. He took the chicken and onion soup. Harry quietly observed the room as he shoveled food into his mouth. The kitchen was quite spacious and comfortable. Most of the utensils used were muggle, which must have been because Harry was used to muggle cooking techniques.

After dinner old Harry went back to his office to do some work and Ginny cleaned up the kitchen. Harry offered to help her but Ginny politely declined. Harry who didn't know what to do was invited by James to join them in the living room to play. At first Harry was awkward around them but as time went by he began to relax. James was very friendly according to Harry. He always talked to him which made the atmosphere more comfortable. Lily was also very energetic, she never stopped telling her experiences. Albus on the other hand just watched the three of them, sometimes smiling at Lily who was very cheerful. He only spoke a few times.

Not long after Ginny brought a tray of biscuits and orange juice for them. Now Harry and James were playing wizard chess but after three games they started to get bored and Albus suggested watching a muggle movie. Harry's eyes lit up when he heard that he was never allowed to watch TV, he only listened to it when he was secretly under the window of number 4 Private Drive. What could be expected from that family. They still fed him Harry was grateful.

"I'll get some popcorn." Lily said running to the kitchen. Luckily they still had some leftover popcorn in the cupboard. Lily put it in the microwave to heat it up. Her father had taught her and her siblings using muggle technology. Since they were also not allowed to use magic outside of school.

Albus and Harry pushed the couch and table to the corner of the room. James took 4 bean bags and placed them in front of the TV. A small round table was placed in the middle to put the food. The lights were turned off so they could see the screen clearly.

Everything was ready when Lily came back from the kitchen with 2 large bags of popcorn in her hands.

James and Lily argued about what movie they were going to see. Luckily Albus was able to mediate between them and agreed to the movie Albus suggested. Harry didn't argue because he honestly didn't know, even the title of the movie.

Harry liked the film it looked like magic but James told him it was edited using muggle technology so it looked like real magic.

After the movie was over Lily was asleep on her pillow and Albus could barely keep his eyes open. Ginny went over to her children and asked them to go to bed. They obediently followed their mother's orders but before that they cleaned up the mess they had made and returned it to its original shape.

The three Potter children entered their rooms. Lily's room was on the first floor under the stairs. It wasn't a cupboard like Harry's but it was just a door located under the stairs. Even so, Lily's room was the second largest room after the main room occupied by Harry and Ginny. James and Albus were in a room upstairs. Ginny showed Harry her room which was next to Albus and James's. Harry thanked her and Ginny excused herself to go into her own room.

Harry opened the room and found a room almost as big as a classroom in Hogwarts. There was a large bed in the middle of the room. The bed had 4 posts surrounding it. A roof covered the top. The bed was covered with a bed sheet with a maroon diamond pattern. A wooden table was beside it with a beautiful navy blue night light. Harry walked towards a large wardrobe that caught his attention. The wardrobe was decorated with sparkling purple-blue stones that were very beautiful. Harry opened it and found a pile of clean clothes inside. Some were hung neatly beside it. Harry could tell that they were expensive clothes. He often saw clothes like that in luxury stores. Harry pulled out a plain cream colored pajama. At least it looked like a regular pajama. Harry decided to wear it. Besides, this room was given to him so he should be able to use it.

Harry found the bathroom door and went to clean himself up and change into his pajamas. He slowly crawled onto his bed and was amazed by a window that looked out onto a large field behind the house. The walls and windows curved outwards, the arches were filled with soft cushions that could be used for sitting.

Harry wondered how big the house was. The field looked bigger than Hogwarts. Considering his love of Quidditch, it would be no surprise if one day he had a house with a Quidditch field. But Harry never imagined he would have one that big. Maybe international matches could be held there.

Harry stared blankly at the window. What happened today made him think again. Surely the Weasleys and Hermione were worried about looking for him, especially Sirius. He became anxious, how would Sirius react to seeing him disappear. He hadn't even had the chance to see him again after the Hogwarts incident.

Harry sighed tiredly. He took off his glasses and turned off the main light. He covered his entire body with the blanket and fell asleep.

The next morning Harry woke up to a knock on his door. It seemed he was too tired. Seeing the sun that was already bright it was probably almost 9 o'clock. Harry was used to waking up earlier than that because of his habit of cooking breakfast for the Dursleys.

"Harry." A voice called from outside the room. Harry recognized Ginny's voice.

"I'm up." Harry replied, yawning, throwing off his covers and walking to the door. He opened it and found Ginny staring at him, holding back laughter. Harry frowned, confused by the reaction.

"Sorry, go downstairs for breakfast. Okay?" Harry nodded. Then Ginny left Harry alone.

Harry shrugged and went to open the wardrobe to get a simple set of clothes and take it to the bathroom. He almost screamed when he saw himself in the mirror. No wonder Ginny wanted to laugh at him. His hair was messy sticking out in all directions irregularly. If he was put on the side of the road, maybe they would think he was homeless.

After showering and changing, Harry went down to the kitchen to join the others. The kitchen sounded very busy with children inside. Harry stopped in front of the door and hesitated to open it. Should he knock first? Or just open it? Would that be polite? Harry fought with his thoughts until a light tap on the shoulder touched him. Harry came out of his thoughts and looked up to find his older self smiling amusedly at him.

"Don't hesitate. Remember this is your family." Old Harry said.

"Sorry, not used to it." Harry rubbed the back of his head.

Older Harry ruffled Harry's hair. Harry was a little nervous, he wasn't used to the warmth apart from the Weasley family . But older Harry paid no attention to him and opened the kitchen door, pushing Harry inside. The kitchen fell silent, especially the two adults who were watching Harry intently. Harry's heart skipped a beat. He knew the red-haired man and the woman beside him were undeniable. They were his best friends, or rather his older self's best friends.

"Found a new problem mate?" Ron said smirking at Harry. Harry who was still shocked was unable to reply anything. But when he realized Hermione's expression made Harry wince. He stood staring at Harry with his hands placed on his hips.

"What do you think you're doing HA?" Hermione shouted as if venting her frustration.

It was scary to be in front of the teenage Hermione, let alone an adult like this. Harry just hung his head in shame at his own behavior.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do it really." Harry said sincerely.

"Really Harry? You came into my room, took my time turner without asking. I told you not to play with that thing."

Harry remained silent, there was no point in fighting because it was his fault.

"Come on honey you scared him." Ron said pulling his wife back to sit down.

Hermione sat back down annoyed.

The children held back their laughter seeing their father acting like a child in front of their aunt. Old Harry also winced even though Hermione wasn't mad at him. After Hermione sat back down, old Harry told Harry to sit next to Lily which was empty.

"Aunt Hermione is so scary when she's angry. Has she always been like that since she was little, Dad?" Lily asked.

It still felt strange to hear a child not far from him call him Dad.

"Eh, A yeah she's like that. But him being an adult makes it a lot scarier. It feels like Mrs. Weasley is scolding me."

"Oh I've seen Uncle Ron get scolded by Grandma and it was so funny." Lily giggled.

Harry had seen it so many times that he could imagine it.
