A/N: Happy Halloween! :)

Chapter 17

"So, you want us to post that Akiko is getting out of the hospital, even though, she isn't," Joan Lamplugh said with some concern. Akiko's four friends were inside the larger conference room with Captain Benson and Sergeant Tutuola.

"Well, we want one of you to post and the others to chime in. We know that Akiko's page was hacked and the person who did it originally is here with us," Olivia explained.

"You're hoping that someone else will log on or be monitoring her page," Yumi Nishikawa spoke up.

"Yes. Our hacker has admitted that he was paid to do so. He's also admitted that he gave the new password to our perpetrators so…" Olivia trailed off.

"How bad is it?" Eliza wanted to know. She'd been quiet throughout this whole meeting and the detectives wondered if there was a reason for it.

"Akiko will be fine. It will take her a while to get there and she'll need you all to help her. Just like you did before," the Captain explained.

"Physically…" Sarah Cannan gave her a look. They hadn't got all of the details but they knew that it wasn't good, considering that their friend was still in the hospital.

"That's for Akiko to share and no one else. It needs to be on her terms," Olivia told her. Sarah heaved a sigh.

"Why Akiko?" Joan wanted to know.

"We believe that our perp was after Akiko's neighbor, Detective Klass. They used Akiko to try and get to her and threatened to get her still. If you make that post and we have officers in both apartments, we're sure that someone will show up and try to use the keys they stole," Fin told them.

"One of the bad guys she put away?" Eliza asked.

"We think so. He couldn't get to her former partner so he decided to go after her and the people she cares about," Fin nodded.

"We've never met the Detective but Betty… Akiko talks about her all the time," Yumi had a lot of emotions bubbling up. There was a knock on the door and Olivia opened it.

"TARU has everything setup so we can do a live posting fest," Detective Klass said. Betty was next to her and the glass door didn't hide the dog's presence.

"Betty?" The dog's ears perked up at her name leaving Yumi's lips. The women looked at each other. Olivia let the Detective and her dog into the room.

"Ladies… I am sorry for meeting you like this. I'm sorry for all of this. It's my fault that Akiko was hurt and I know that you don't owe me anything but please… for Akiko – we need to nail this guy before he hurts someone else," Detective Klass told them.

"Last time I checked, you did your job," Joan said.

"I only wish the bastard had served more time," Klass frowned.

"Don't we all. You going to make sure he goes down for good?" Sarah asked.

"With your help, he'll fry, and so will his accomplice," Klass nodded. Suddenly, Eliza started crying and Betty went to her.

"Eliza, what is it?" Olivia asked as Fin fetched the box of tissues from the far end of the table.

"This is my fault. I should have come forward sooner. I didn't think… I didn't know…" the woman stammered. The detectives looked at each other before letting Olivia push her.

"Didn't know what?" The Captain wanted to know.

"Caitlin has to be a part of this. She said some things but I thought she was spouting off like she does. She makes threats but they're usually empty. There is something wrong with her and none of us could help her," Eliza admitted.

"What did Caitlin say?" Detective Klass pressed.

"She said she'd get back at Akiko. That Akiko was too big for her britches. Caitlin seemed so worked up that I figured she wasn't sober again. That new guy she's been hanging out with… I'd say that he was corrupting her but I think they're both using each other," Eliza said.

"Who is this guy?" Fin wanted to know.

"His name is Dylan. I haven't met him though," the woman told them. That caused the detectives to look at each other again. This was their link. They had to get Eliza to tell them everything.
