CHAPTER 254

Hell Fire's jaws thrashed at Kyra, and Dianna acted in a fraction of a moment. Her arms thrust out and shoved Kyra who fell to the floor.

Hell Fire's teeth clapped shut, and Kyra could feel the rush of wind above her.

Dianna found herself looking at a fury of wrinkling scales that tightened over a dragon like face. Hell Fire snarled and rutted her horns. Dianna went air born and struck the wall above the couch, leaving a splintered indentation in the cheap wood paneling. Her body hit the couch cushions, and she groaned while curling into a ball.

Kyra scurried on all fours toward the hanger door, but she could feel Hell Fire's body thundering over her again. One of the carnotaur's big feet smashed down right beside her, and she knew the teeth were coming.

Expecting a set of jaws to snap around her she heard instead a shotgun blast, and the carnotaurus backed away.

"Go!" Kyra heard her dad shout.

She continued to scramble on all fours, bumping past her dad's ankles as she went. She heard another gunshot above her. In another moment Kyra was at the door frame, and a strong pair of hands was pulling her through the door and to her feet.

In the dark of the hanger she could just make out Daniel's figure, and Seth was right beside him. Ms. Murdock was nowhere to be seen.

From the office Dr. Conners shouted, "Go! Hide!"
