kayalanushree1: Honestly, I don't have a lot of plot points planned out, so making longer chapters might rush the story. But I'll try to update regularly to keep you engaged!
Abhi's mad lover, Ankna dii: thankyou!
Jaisa ki maine kaha tha yeh rahi 2nd update, Ab aap log jaldi se review dijiye. kal agar 12 review bhi hue main tab bhi update dedungi!
As the morning sun rose over the horizon, Abhi emerged from the room, feeling slightly more rested.
He found Purvi already up and about, dressed in her bureau attire, her hair neatly tied back.
Purvi:- Good Morning Sir.
She said, flashing him a bright smile. Abhi nodded, his eyes taking in the spread of breakfast laid out on the table.
Purvi:- Aaiye breakfast kar lijiye.
Purvi pulled out a chair for him, and he sat down, his eyes meeting hers.
She smiled again, her eyes sparkling.
Purvi:- You did rest well, I hope? Waise aap aaj ghar par hi rukiye rest kijiye hmm?
Abhi nodded, taking a sip of his tea.
Abhi:- Acp sir ne pucha toh??
Purvi's expression remained neutral, but a hint of unease flickered in her eyes.
She didn't tell Abhi that everyone at the bureau knew about his multiple personality disorder, or that they were the ones who had sent him to Doctor Ritik. She didn't want Abhi to get angry with them.
Purvi:- Wo sab main sambhal lungi aap aaram kijiye.
Purvi left for the CID bureau, her mind still reeling with questions. As she sat at her desk, she couldn't shake off the feeling that something wasn't right.
Why had Doctor Ritik taken Abhi to a secluded building instead of a hospital or asylum? Did acp sir or Daya sir know about this? And why was Abhi always so scared of Doctor Ritik? Didn't he want to become normal?
Lost in her thoughts, Purvi didn't notice Daya approaching her.
Daya:- Purvi mujhe file dedo kal ke case ki.
he said, but she didn't respond.
Daya called out to her again, but Purvi was still oblivious to her surroundings.
Pankaj was about to shake her out of her reverie when Daya sir stopped him.
Instead, Daya walked up to Purvi's desk and slammed his hand on the table, making her jerk upright.
She looked up, startled, to find Daya's piercing eyes staring back at her.
Daya:- Kaha hoyi ho?
Purvi:- Ku..kuch nahi sir bas abhijeet sir ki health ke baare main soch rahi thi.
Daya sir's expression softened, and he nodded.
Daya:- Hmm, main bhi kal saari raat ussi ke baare main soch raha tha. Hope wo jaldi thek hokar laut aaye.
Purvi's curiosity got the better of her, and she asked.
Purvi:- Aap hospital jaakr kyun nahi mil lete unse.
She wanted to gauge Daya's reaction, to see if he knew about Doctor Ritik's unconventional methods.
Daya's expression turned serious.
Daya:- wo hospital mai nahi hai. Ritik ne bataya tha treatment ke dauran abhijeet kaafi agressive ho jaata hai pichli baar bhi usne 2- 3 logo ko injured kar diya tha isiliye sehar ke bahar ek khaali building hai maine use wahan ki chaabi di hai wo wahin lekar gaya hai use.
Purvi nodded, still looking confused. But before she could process anything further, acp Pradyuman walked in, his face etched with concern.
Acp:- Daya doctor Ritik ka phone aaya tha abhijeet firse bhaag gaya.
The room fell silent, with everyone's eyes widening in shock. Except Purvi's. She seemed to have expected this news.
Daya's face turned worried.
Daya:- Ab kya sir??
Acp:- Hume kuch aur sochna padega.
Pankaj:- Sir hume kisi tarah dobara abhijeet sir ko wapis bhejna hoga aur iss baar hum bhi unki help karenge abhijeet sir pr nazar rakhne mai.
But just as everyone seemed to be in agreement, Purvi suddenly spoke up, her voice firm. "NO."
The room fell silent again, with everyone's eyes turning to Purvi in confusion.
Purvi quickly changed her expression, trying to cover up her outburst.
Purvi:- wo sir, mera matlab tha ke abhi hume kuch time shaant rehna chahiye kyunki wo bahut naraz the aur agar unhe yeh baat pata chali ki in sab main hum log mile hain toh aur bhi zaada naraz ho jayenge.
Acp nodded in agreement.
Acp:- Haan purvi, you're right. Hume kuch der shaant rehna chahiye. Jaisa chal raha hai chalne dete hain.
As the day drew to a close, Purvi headed back home, She unlocked the door and stepped inside, calling out.
Purvi:- Abhijeet Sir.
But there was no response. The house was quiet and still.
Purvi's eyes scanned the room, and then she spotted a sticky note on her dressing table.
She walked over and picked it up, her heart skipping a beat as she read the message:
"Thank you for taking care of me, Purvi. I'm grateful for your help. And yes, I've got your old bed repaired."
Purvi's lips curved into a small smile as she felt a warmth spread through her chest.
Meanwhile, Abhi was sitting in the living room, the TV on in front of him, but his eyes were distant, lost in thought.
He was thinking about Purvi, a soft smile on his face as he remembered their moments together.
Just then, the doorbell rang, breaking Abhi's reverie. He thought it might be Purvi, and his heart skipped a beat as he opened the door.
But to his surprise, he found Sachin and Kajal standing outside, looking concerned.
Abhi's expression turned confused.
Abhi:- Tum log yahan kaise??
Sachin:- Sir wo aaj aap dikhe nhi toh hum log pareshan the.
Kajal:- isiliye socha aapka haal chaal lele.
Abhi stared at them for a moment, then nodded curtly.
Abhi:- Main thek hun.
With that, he closed the door, leaving Sachin and Kajal looking at each other uncertainly.
But Abhi's peace was short-lived.
After a few minutes, the doorbell rang again. This time, it was Freddy and Pankaj.
Freddy:- sir aapki tabiyat kaisi hai?
Abhi forced a smile.
Abhi:- I'm good, thanks.
Freddy and Pankaj nodded and left, but Abhi's respite was brief.
Five minutes later, the doorbell rang again.
Abhi opened the door, and his expression changed. Standing outside were Daya and Shreya, their faces etched with concern.
Daya and Shreya exchanged worried glances.
Daya:- Abhijeet tum, matlab tum kaise ho? Thek ho na?
Abhi turned his face away, his jaw clenched. Daya's eyes narrowed, his expression softening.
Daya:- Abhi tak naraz ho humse??
Abhi's gaze snapped back to Daya, a cold, mirthless laugh escaping his lips.
Abhi:- Nahi, Hum un logon se naraz hote hain jo apne ho. Gero se kaisi naraazgi.
Daya's face fell, his eyes clouding over.
Daya:- Thek hai tum bhale hi hume kuch na maante ho. Par yaad rakhna tum aaj bhi mere liye khaas ho, mere bhai jaise ho. Jab bhi zaroorat pade iss ger ko yaad karlena.
Abhi's expression turned icy, his voice dripping with venom.
Abhi:- Agar mujhe tumhare aur maut main se kisi ko chunna pade toh main maut ko chunnunga. Wo kam se kam haath toh nhi chhodegi.
With that, he slammed the door shut in their faces, leaving Daya and Shreya stunned.
Daya's eyes widened, his mouth opening to speak, but no words came out. He felt a lump form in his throat, his eyes stinging with unshed tears.
Shreya placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, her voice soft.
Shreya:- Hume sabar rakhna hoga, dekhna wo wapis zaroor lautenge.
Daya nodded slowly, his eyes never leaving the closed door. Shreya's grip on his shoulder tightened.
Shreya:- chalo ghar chale.
After a while, the doorbell rang again.
Abhi took a deep breath, steeling himself, and opened the door. He found Acp standing outside, a soft smile on his face.
Acp:- Kaise ho beta?
Abhi's glare turned icy.
Abhi:- Beta nahi hum main aapka.
Acp's smile faltered, but he didn't back down.
Acp:- Tum mujhe apna pita maano ya na maano main tumhe apna beta maanta hun.
As Acp reached out to touch Abhi's face, Abhi jerked back, his hand raised in warning.
His demeanor began to shift, and Sameer's presence began to emerge.
Abhi:- Tum log dobara abhijeet ko bewakoof nahi bana sakte.
Abhi struggled to regain control, not wanting Sameer to hurt ACP.
Acp:- Abhi--
With a Herculean effort, he suppressed Sameer's emergence and slammed the door shut in ACP's face.
Abhi:- Chale jaaiye yahan se.
Abhi shouted, his chest heaving.
He took deep breaths, trying to calm himself.
He stood in front of the mirror, gripping the washbasin tightly, his knuckles white.
Staring at his reflection, Abhi whispered. ".Inke jhaal main fansne ki zaroorat nahi hai abhijeet. Yeh log bas dikhava kar rahe hain, nahi hai tumhari parwah inhe"
He squeezed his eyes shut, then slowly opened them, and saw himself.
The storm within him subsided, and Abhijeet's persona reasserted itself.
Abhi opened the tap and splashed water on his face, feeling a sense of calm wash over him.
But his tranquility was short-lived, as the doorbell rang again.
He glared angrily at the door, deciding not to answer it this time.
Instead, he walked over to the couch and plopped himself down, trying to distract himself with the TV.
But the person at the door was persistent, ringing the bell again and again.
Abhi's annoyance grew, and he tried to ignore the sound, focusing on the TV show.
Finally, the doorbell stopped ringing. Abhi let out a sigh of relief, feeling his tension ease.
But his relaxation was short-lived. Suddenly, there was a knock on the window.
Abhi's head jerked towards the sound, and his eyes widened in shock as he saw Purvi sitting on the windowsill, a gentle smile on her face.
Abhi's heart skipped a beat as their eyes met, and he felt his anger and frustration melt away...
Abhi instantly got up and walked over to Purvi.
Abhi:- Tum yahan kaise? Aur window se kyun?
Purvi:- Aapne darwaza nhi khola toh socha puch lu mera andar aana allowed hai ya nahi? Ab aapne apna phone number toh diya nhi tha khidki khuli thi toh socha yahi se puch lu.
Abhi's eyes widened as he realized that Purvi must have been the one ringing the doorbell earlier.
Abhi:- I'm really sorry. Tum andar aao na.
He extended his hand to help her, but Purvi was already climbing in through the window.
Abhi:- Waise achank se yahan kaise?
Purvi:- Wo kya hai na sir ghar par bahut alone sa feel ho raha tha fir yaad aaya ki koi aur bhi hai jo akela rehta hai. Toh kyun na unke saath dinner kar liya jaye.
Abhi smiled:- Lekin purvi, filhal mere kitchen main kuch nahi hai.
Purvi's eyes widened in shock.
Purvi:- kya matlab aap khaana nahi khaate?
Abhi shrugged:- Haan matlab kabhi bhookh lage yoh bana leta hun. Usually, I don't feel hungry.
Purvi:- Ab main samjhi aap hamesha itna low sound kyun karte hain.
She paused, then exclaimed.
Purvi:- aap chinta mat kariye khaana main banakr layi hun.
She looked around, realizing her hands were empty.
Purvi:- Kahan chala gaya??
Purvi climbed back out the window, only to return with a tiffin box, which she handed to Abhi.
As she climbed back in, Abhi raised an eyebrow.
Abhi:- ab tum darwaza use kar sakti thi na?
Purvi looked shocked, glancing at the door before exclaiming.
Purvi:- oh yeah! dimag se nikal gaya.
Abhi and Purvi sat down at the dining table, the tiffin box open in front of them.
Purvi:- Sir aap na khaana time se khaya kariye. Ek cid officer ko strong rehna chahiye.
Abhi raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement in his voice.
Abhi:- Oh really? Aur kya kya karna chahiye ek cid officer ko?
Purvi:- First, aapko physically fit rehna chahiye sir. Then you need to be mentally sharp, always thinking on your feet. And of course, aapke pas excellent observation skills hone chahiye jisse aap chhoti se chhoti details notice kar sake.
Abhi chuckled:- Matlab abhi bahut kuch seekhna hai mujhe tumse.
Purvi smiled, oblivious to the fact that Abhijeet already possessed the skills she was trying to teach him.
