Chapter 1:
The staff in the forest

Currently there's a heavy fog that slowly lifts revealing a young girl, with red eyes and brown hair that went to her back with blunt side-bangs and a ponytail in the back. She also has a long lock of hair on the left side of her face. She was currently wearing orange hooded jacket over a blue turtleneck sweater with brown shorts and red boots.
The girl looked around and saw she was in a forest. The forest was huge filled with old corroded trees and brambles, but still had young trees throughout it somehow.
The girl looked around as a light appeared before her, causing her to cover her eyes. As the light decreased the girl could see it was the Big Dipper consolation. As the girl raised an arm to reach out to it, the ground shaked as everything went black.
The girl then opened her eyes as she saw she was on a train. As she rubbed her eyes, she checked to see her backpack, suitcase and traveling bag were still there.
'That dream again.' Thought the girl as she had had that dream for about a week now.
Soon the train stopped as the girl grabbed her bags and got off the train with the other people. The girl looked around as she looked at the small town before her as put her hands together in joy as she had a large smile on her face.
"I'm finally here." Said the girl with a huge smile on her face as she continued. "The place where Shiny Chariot, learned her skill."
"You're not there just yet Akko." Said a voice from the now identified Akko's backpack.
Hearing this Akko looked around in worry as she then grabbed her bags and went to a nearby alley.
"Yue you can't speak up like that. Somebody might hear you." Scolded Akko as she opened her backpack.
Then a figure came out of her backpack. It was a small creature the size of a plushie. It looked like a human male wearing a white t-shirt with a blue tie and blue jeans. He also had short grey hair with brown eyes. But what stood out most was the small white plushy-like wings on his back.
"I'm sorry Akko, but you were getting your hopes up at the wrong time." Yue told her as Akko groaned.
"But weren't you the one who told me to keep you and the cards hidden." Countered Akko with a grin.
"Ha! She's got you there Yue." Said another voice from Akko's backpack.
Soon another plushie came out, this one in the form a of a stuff lion cub. It had yellow-orange fur with big ears. It also had small black eyes and like Yue it had small white plushy-like wings on his back.
"Cerberus, I don't want to hear that from you." Said Yue as he refused to look at him.
"Oh come on, it's not often that you're the one in trouble, let me bask in it for a while." Said Cerberus with a smile on his face.
"Kero." Said Akko using Cerberus nickname. "He not in trouble I'm just reminding him what you two told me." She told him causing Kero to sulk a bit.
"Perhaps we should get going Akko." Suggested Yue.
"Yeah your right." Agreed Akko as she zipped up her backpack and put it on her back as she then grabbing her other bags.
"Hey where are we going?" Asked Kero as both he and Yue agreed that they shouldn't be seen in public.
"You can sit on my shoulders." Akko told them as they both looked at each other with some worry, as Akko say this.
"Don't worry, no one will know who you are in your disguise forms. And once we get to the terminal you can go back into the bag if you want." Akko told them with a smile on her face.
"Well it beats that bag." Said Kero as he flew over to her and landed on her right shoulder. Yue meanwhile wasn't sure but knew better then to argue with her. Afterall she was only trying to be nice to them, something he apricated as he flew over and landed on her left shoulder.
"Now, where's the terminal?" Akko mostly asked herself.
Yue sighed as he knew this could have been a problem. "The terminal is a leyline point for witches to travel with. Just feel the magic it's giving off." He told her as Akko nodded and closed her eyes and sensed for the magic. After a few seconds she felt it and started to walk over to it.
As she walked, she thought about the last year and how her life changed.
It all started when she found the book of the Clow and accidently let the Clow cards free. Together with Kero the two sent off to reseal all the cards with help from her friend Tomoyo. But soon one of Clow Reeds dependents from his eastern family side, Syaoran Li, came to claim the cards for himself. At first Akko couldn't stand him, but now he was one of her best friends. Soon the two gathered all the cards and Yue appeared before them and tested them. Li failed the test, but Akko was barely able to pass. Now she is the new master of the cards along with Kero and Yue.
'But why didn't Clow Reeds western side show up?' Akko thought to herself as she that was something that bothered her since Li showed up. Even Li didn't know why.
But Akko was cut off from her thoughts as she bumped into someone, as she fell over while the other person was fine.
Looking up Akko saw the person was a girl around her age. She was a tall, thin girl with mauve hair. She has pale, grayish skin and red eyes. Her left eye was covered by her hair while her other eye was half open. She was wearing green dress with long sleeves that went to her wrist and a small brown cloak over her shoulder. (I don't know what's it called) All in all she looked like a witch.
"Sorry about that." Said Akko as she started to get up and saw both Yue and Kero on the ground. Then when she saw the same brochure for Luna Nova that she had.
"Is this yours?" Asked Akko with excitement in her eyes as she held the brochure near the girl.
"Are you a new student at Luna Nova? Are you on your way to orientation? All right!" Said Akko with excitement as the girl grabbed her brochure back.
"I was a little apprehensive about going to Luna Nova all by myself." Continued Akko as she then realized she forgot something. "Oh, sorry my name Akko."
Akko was about to continue when she saw the girl wasn't paying attention to her as she walked over to Kero.
Akko could see Kero was worried, but Akko did nothing as she wasn't sure what this girl was going to do. The girl then brought out a bottle with some purple liquid in it.
"What are you doing?" Asked Akko with some worry in her voice. The girl then dropped a little bit of the liquid onto Kero.
Kero wanted to yell from the stuff that was put on him, but somehow was able to keep quiet. But that didn't stop him from rolling all over the place.
The girl watched this as she then looked at the bottle. "A dud." She said to herself as she then walked off.
Akko wanted to tear her a new one for what ever she tried on Kero, but Kero was more important at the moment. Seeing that she was gone Akko turned her full attention to Kero.
"Kero are you ok?" Asked Akko as she scooped him up.
"It burns!" Yelled Kero as Akko saw a nearby stream. She rushed over to it and put Kero into it causing the liquid to wash away.
"Is that better?" Akko asked hoping it was.
Kero left out a breath of relief. "Yeah thanks." He told her as Yue flew over to them.
"I think that liquid was puppet magic." Yue told them as Kero gasped.
"No wonder it burned so much. Puppet magic can make inanimate objects move but causes a burning sensation on living things." Explained Kero as Akko looked over in the direction the girl went.
She was mad, but she didn't know her, and she didn't know who she was. Akko then started to walk as Kero and Yue took their places on her shoulders as she continued to the terminal.
Later Akko could see a lone tower sitting atop a hill, as she could sense this was the terminal. Knowing this Akko walked up the hill and as she got closer to the building, she could see three girls standing there.
All three of them were wearing the Luna Nova uniform consisting of a white long-sleeved shirt under a navy-blue vest with a tie of the same color, and lastly a skirt. And each of them wore a witch hat. They each had a ribbon sash tied around their waist with two of them being blue while the third one was violet and their hats having the same color around their bases.
Getting closer Akko could see the violet sash girl had dark purple hair and had thin eyes of the same color with long eyelashes. Her hair is shoulder length and on both sides of her face she had red hair pins.
The first girl with a blue sash black hair that was completely straight and was waist-length and teal eyes. The other girl had wavy auburn hair that was tied into a ponytail with a yellow bow and has hazel eyes.
As Akko got closer, she could her them talking. "How was your spring break?" Asked the auburn haired one.
"There were tourists everywhere I went. I got tired of it." The purple haired one answered.
"By the way, I heard one of the newcomers is not from a witch family." The black haired one told the others.
"No way!" The other two said at the same time. At the same time Akko reached them and heard everything.
"They've let in too many commoners lately." Complained the auburn hair one as Yue and Kero frowned at her tone.
"I've heard that they're not doing well financially, so they need to let commoners in to keep the school open." The black haired one told the others.
"That's awful." The purple haired one said.
"Luna Nova's dignity is in jeopardy." The black haired one said.
"I bet she won't even be able to ride a broom." Mocked the auburn haired one.
'Who needs a broom when you have FLY.' Thought Akko angrily as she knew they were talking about her.
"Impossible!" Said the black haired one.
"I don't think they've ever had a student who couldn't ride a broom in the history of Luna Nova." The purple haired one said as Akko, Kero and Yue were getting annoyed by this.
Unfortunately, because of her anger Akko let out some magic, causing the three of them to unknowingly sense her.
"Who are you?" Asked the black hair one as they all face her.
Hearing that Akko had no choice but to answer her or be as rude as them. "Atsuko Kagari. But you can call me Akko. I'm new." She told them as she was nervous.
"Oh, so you're the new one." The black haired one said unimpressed.
Akko stood there awkwardly as she wanted them to leave so she could bring out her staff and use the FLY card and get to school.
"So, um do when head to the school individually or is there like a bus that picks us up?" Asked Akko trying to break the awkwardness.
But that turned out to be the wrong thing to say as the three girls laughed at her.
"You don't know anything!" Laughed the auburn haired one.
"Did you really think bus brings us there?" Asked the black hair one.
Then all three of them got on their brooms. "Tia Freyre!" All three of them said at the same time. Then all three of them floated off the ground on their brooms.
"This is the broom stop." Said the auburn hair one.
"Leyline terminal." Added the black hair one.
"Leyline connects us to Luna Nova." Explained the auburn hair one as she took off and entered the tower.
"There is magic energy running along Leyline since ancient times." Continued the black hair one as she followed her friend.
"And when you ride on the energy, you can fly to Luna Nova." Finished the purple haired one as she joined the others.
"This is the magic highway." All three of the said at the same time.
"This is basic witch knowledge." Akko heard one of them say, as she calmly made her way into the tower.
Once inside Akko saw the three of them up high as the Leyline was active. But then Akko heard something that caught her interest.
"If you are late for the orientation, you get kicked out of the magic world forever." Akko heard the black hair one say as the three of them left.
Once it was just Akko and her guardians Kero spoke up. "If they're the future of magic I'm worried." He told Yue.
"We shouldn't judge them so fast Kero." Said Yue as he did feel the same way.
"But that's what they did to Akko." Countered Kero as he fumed. "I knew the magic world was in a tough spot, but for them to ridicule a first-generation witch like that is cruel."
"What did they mean by 'you get kicked out of the magic world forever'?" Asked Akko as she was a little bit worried.
"I don't know." Answered Yue honestly. "It could be a new rule since our time, or they were playing with you."
"It doesn't matter." Said Kero with a grin. "Just bring out your staff and use the FLY card."
Hearing that Akko agreed as she pulled out a necklace from around her neck. The necklace was a star surrounded by a pink circle with a wing on either side, with a key attached to the bottom.
"Oh, key that conceals the power of darkness." Started Akko but stopped when she heard something outside.
Walking outside Akko saw a young girl with short orange hair wearing semi-rimless glasses. She had freckles on her check and nose. And finally, she wore a blue hair band and wore the Luna Nova uniform.
Akko saw that she tripped spilling all her belongings as the girl picked them up. Akko saw that her hat had went flying and went to pick it up. Once she had it, she went over the girl and held it out for her. The girl saw this and was surprised to see Akko there as she accepted her hat and stood up.
"Thank you." Said the girl as Akko saw the girl broom had a pot attached to it in the shape a skull.
After the girl gathered her belongings she then rushed into the tower and got onto her broom. As shew was about to activate her magic she noticed Akko standing nearby.
Seeing this the girl spoke up. "Are you coming? Orientation is starting soon." She asked Akko.
Akko wished she didn't ask that as it was getting harder to summon her staff and use FLY.
"Yes." Was all Akko could say, since she didn't want to lie.
The other girl looked at her. "Then where is your broom then?" She asked as Akko as she didn't see one.
"Um." Was all Akko could say as she tried to think of something.
"Could it be." Started the other girl making Akko worried. "You don't have a broom."
Hearing that Akko could only nod and both Kero and Yue were worried were this was going.
"Luna Nova enforces the rules. You're not let in if you're late. You get expelled right away." Expelled the girl, but unlike the other girls her tone was more of worry, something both Kero and Yue were glad to hear.
"I don't have a broom." Said Akko without realizing what she said as she continued. "Even if I did, I don't know how to ride one."
Yue wanted to groan as he heard Akko say that. 'Why not tell her you have the Clow Cards next.' Thought Yue as he could believe Akko said all that.
"I sorry. I don't want to be late." Said the girl as she felt bad for her but didn't want to be late.
She then looked at Akko and she felt bad for her. So she did the only thing she could at the moment.
"Want a ride?" Asked the girl suddenly, surprising Akko and her guardians.
"Are you sure?" Asked Akko not wanting to make her late as well.
"Yes, I've never had a passenger before, but I may be able to do it if I try." The girl told Akko.
"Really? Thank you!" Said Akko as both Kero and Yue were glad not all current witches were like the three they just meet.
"By the why." The girl suddenly said. "Why do you have those dolls on your shoulders?" She asked Akko.
Akko paused for a minute as she looked at her guardians. "They're my good luck charms. This is Kero and Yue." Said Akko as she pointed at them. "With them around I feel like I can do anything."
The girl looked at them with a smile. "I wish I had something like them." She told Akko.
"Oh, wait my name is Atsuko Kagari. You can call me Akko." Said Akko as she introduced herself to the girl.
"My name is Lotte Jansson." Said Lotte as she introduced herself to Akko.
Soon the two had their luggage load up on Lotte's broom as Akko put both Kero and Yue into her backpack. Akko sat behind Lotte as the two were ready to take off.
"Ready? I'm taking off." Lotte told Akko, as Akko nodded, she was ready.
"Fly my broom. Tia Freyre." Said Lotte as her broom took off.
Akko always loved the feeling of flying, sometimes when it was late at night she would sneak out and use FLY and enjoy the feeling of the air as she flew about.
Then all the sudden they dropped down for a bit, but Lotte was able to pull them back up.
"Looks like we're over capacity." Explained Lotte as the neared the gate. "The path to Luna Nova is opening."
The next thing Akko knew she felt like she was being pulled into the gate with Lotte. Akko was then amazed at what she saw in the Leyline.
Inside was a tunnel with what looked like roots or branches covering the sides as different colors passed them.
Then out of no where a strong gust of wind hit them, causing them to loss some of their luggage.
"Oh no our luggage!" Said Lotte as she tried to control her broom. "I've never experienced this. It's weird!"
Lotte then thought of something as she looked at Akko. "Do you have salt by any chance?" She asked Akko hoping the answer would be no.
"No." Answered Akko as Kero and Yue told her that Leyline's don't like salt. Then Akko got a blast of the wind hitting them as she felt something.
'WINDY?" Thought Akko as this wind felt like WINDY's wind.
Then to her, Kero and Yue's horror the book of the CLOW somehow got out of Akko's backpack and went flying.
"NO!" Yelled Akko as she then tried to grab the book only for another blast of wind to hit them causing Akko to fall off.
Akko then saw the girl from earlier as they collided as all three girls went flying into a magical vortex.
But unknown to the three girls and two guardians, four beings were watching them, hidden from prying eyes.
"So, it begins. Just like you said." One of them said as their voice sounded like a female.
"The question now is will she succeed?" Said another, this one sounding like a male.
Akko groaned as she gained her bearings after the fall she took, as she slowly got up and looked around. And to her shock she was in the forest from her dreams. But that didn't matter right now as she had to look for the Clow cards.
Luckily for her she saw the book near her as she rushed over to it and opened it. She let out a breath of relief as she felt all the cards were still inside and safe.
'But why did that wind in the leyline feel like WINDY's wind?' Thought Akko as she was about to ask her guardians what they thought as she heard something.
"You are truly a pain in the neck." Akko heard someone say to her as she turned and saw the girl she collided with.
Akko was about to say something when she heard another voice nearby. Curious and worried she looked behind a tree and saw Lotte.
"Lotte." Said Akko in worry as she rushed to her side. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"
"I'm okay, but my broom isn't" Lotte told Akko as Akko could see the broom was broken, causing her to gasp.
"Looks like we arrived at our destination." Said the other girls as she calmly walked over to them.
"Our destination?" Said Akko confused as both she and Lotte stood up. "This can't be Luna Nova."
"Akko right. I don't know this forest." Agreed Lotte as the two looked around.
"The forest of Arcturus." Said the girl as she somehow got between Akko and Lotte.
"Arcturus?" Repeated Lotte as the name sounded familiar to her as it then came to her. "Oh, no! The forbidden forest?!"
"What is it?" Asked Akko as she never heard of this place before.
"It's an ancient legendary forest. A holy place protected by magic trees." Explained Lotte as the girls started to walk hoping to find a way out. "They say that once you get lost, even a witch has a hard time getting out."
At the same time both Kero and Yue were flying above them as they fell out of Akko's bag when they fell. When they heard where they were, they were shocked.
"No way!?" Said Kero in disbelief. "This can't be Arcturus."
Yue mentally agreed with him as he remembered when the two of them and Clow Reed's family would come here for family picnics. "I knew it was a hard time for magic, but for this to happen to a once beautiful forest." He said as he remembered those happy times.
After hearing this Akko thoughts went to two places the first was how they were going to get to orientation. And the second was if her dream was going to come true today or would she come here again.
Akko then saw her stuff laying on the ground near them. "My stuff!" She cried out in joy. "I thought it was all lost!" As she ran over to it and started to grab her belongings. That was when she saw her bag on a weird flower. It was folded up and had purple pedals with what looked like red eyes on the end. What scared Akko was it looked like it was looking at her.
"Akko get away from that!" Cried out Lotte. Akko turned to look at her as the flower opened up, revealing what looked like a mouth as it went for her. But luckily for Akko all that time she spent capturing the cards helped train her reflexes, so she was able to jump out of the way.
Akko then ran over to the others as they ran away from the flower. Up above Kero and Yue saw this as Kero was about to dive down and help her, only for Yue to stop him.
"What are you doing?! Akko needs our help" Asked Kero as tried to keep an eye on Akko.
"I know, but we know nothing about the other two." Replied Yue as he didn't want others to know that they were here.
"You're still on that?!" Asked Kero in shock as he couldn't believe Yue would say that. "Akko life is in danger she needs us!"
"If she really does need us then we'll act." Countered Yue. "She was able to recapture the cards and pass the tests. If she can't handle a flower, then she doesn't disserve to be mistress of the Clow cards."
Hearing that Kero frowned as Yue had a point. He then saw that the girls had lost the flower, but for what ever reason Akko and Lotte where in some sphere. The two guardians looked at each other in confusion as they then flew down to hear better.
Once they got closer, they heard the other girl say "Kutcher Katela Flala.".
"Hey, I might be wrong but isn't that 'Hey, stupid! If you don't like it eat me!' in Cockatrice?" Asked Kero in worry, as he didn't like where this was going.
"It is." Said Yue with the same worry as they both heard Akko scream it.
"Oh, no." They both said at the same time, as everyone heard a creature cry followed by a large thumping sound that sounded like footsteps.
Everyone turned to the source of the sound as a large chicken head popped out from the trees confusing Akko and Lotte, while Kero and Yue were worried. The only one looking happy was the mystery girl.
The chicken then stepped closer to them showing how huge it was and what scared Akko and Lotte was this chicken had a snake for a tail.
"Hello." Said Akko awkwardly as she didn't know what else to say.
She then turned her head slowly to the other girl. "What's this? What was the last spell for?" Akko asked her in worry.
"The spell said, 'Hey, stupid! If you don't like it eat me!'". The other girl explained as Akko and Lotte looked at her in shock.
"This is a Cockatrice, a legendary bird that only exists in the forest of Arcturus." Explained the girl as she got on her broom and started to float up. "It is said that their feathers contain lethal poison. It is a rare item for lethal poison collectors. You have to draw its attention and I'll remove some feathers."
"What? We're Decoys?" Asked Akko in shock and anger.
"No, you guys are the sacrifice." Corrected the girl as she added. "Cast the spell one more time."
Hearing this Kero was furious as his wings started to grow as he was going to take his true form.
"Stop." Said Yue as he had an angry look on his face.
Hearing that Kero stopped as his wings returned to normal. "Why?!" Demanded Kero. "You know as well as I do if that thing breathes on them, they'll turn to stone!"
"I know that, but look." Said Yue as he pointed down as Kero saw Akko and Lotte rolling the cage to run away, as Yue continued. "Also don't you feel it?"
Hearing that confused Kero and he opened his senses. He then felt something he wasn't expecting. "Is that?" Started Kero as he was surprised to feel it.
"It is." Answered Yue. "As much as we want to help, we must let it choose on its own."
As much as Kero hated it, he nodded and hoped Akko and Lotte would be safe.
Back with the girls they were rolling their cage as fast as they could while avoiding a fog that came from the Cockatrice. As the girls ran the other girl used this chance to garb a feather, which proved to be a mistake. The Cockatrice felt it and turned to face the girl as it tried to turn her to stone.
But Akko and Lotte didn't know that as they continued to run. They then saw a tree in front of them, but they couldn't stop in time and smashed right into it. The force from the crash caused the cage to break as the two girls went flying.
The two neared a cliff Lotte was about to fall off it, only for Akko to quickly grabbed her while making sure she was safe as well.
"Are you ok?" Asked Akko as she started to pull Lotte away from the cliff.
"Yeah." Answered Lotte as she was glad to be safe.
"We have to go. Quickly." Said Akko as both of them were safe. "We don't have time to waste. We won't make it to orientation."
But then Lotte cried out in pain. Looking down they saw a bad bruise on her right knee.
"My knee!" Said Lotte in pain. "I can't walk. I won't make it."
"We can make it!" Said Akko with determination in her voice. She then put Lotte's right arm over her shoulder. "I never give up."
Akko then supported Lotte as the two made their way forward. But it was slow going, something they didn't need with the Cockatrice nearby.
"We have to go." Said Akko as she did her bests to support Lotte, as she continued talking. "We are going to be witches. Reach out and it'll begin. My heart-pounding and thrilling story… it will continue."
They soon reached a clearing and to Akko's shock she knew this clearing from her dreams, as she saw seven glowing stars, with two vines surrounding them. The stars then turned into a medium sized staff that has a golden ornament on the top. There were seven green orbs that matched the big dipper constellation.
To Akko this was the shiny rod, used by one of her idols Shiny Chariot. But to Kero and Yue who saw this they knew it as the Claoimh Solais.
"At a girl!" Cheered Kero as he knew she could pass the rod's first trail.
Yue looked at Akko as it seemed her destiny was larger than anyone thought.
"This must be Chariot's magic wand!" Gasped Akko as she never thought she would find it here of all places.
But her excitement was short lived as she heard the Cockatrice. Looking over to where they heard it both Akko and Lotte saw the girl who caused the Cockatrice to appear being attacked by it.
Akko then looked down at the Shiny rod and then her key of sealing, before turning to Lotte. "Lotte, go hide somewhere and stay put." Ordered Akko as her mind was made up.
"What?" Asked Lotte not sure what Akko was going to do.
Akko then grabbed the Shiny rod and pulled it out of the ground. When she did, she thought she felt the cards almost cheering for that. 'Weird.' Thought Akko as she was going to have a long talk to Kero and Yue about their actions today.
Akko then ran away from Lotte so she would be safer. Once she was sure she was a good distance away form her Akko turned to the Cockatrice.
"Kutchur Katela Flala!" Yelled Akko getting the Cockatrice attention as well as the girls.
"Hi! Come here, demon." Akko yelled again as Kero and Yue watched in shock and horror as the Cockatrice took off after her.
"That's it, I'm going in!" Said Kero as he flew down to Akko. Yue saw this and mentally agreed with him as he flew down too.
"Akko what are you doing!?" Asked a distraught Kero as he and Yue flew beside her.
"I couldn't stand by and watch as this thing attacked her." Answered Akko as she jumped over some roots.
"But it's her fault you're in this situation." Countered Yue.
"I don't care!" Yelled Akko as she quickly turned around and dove between the Cockatrice legs as the beast tried to get her.
Then out of no where the flower from before started to attack the Cockatrice. Kero and Yue gasped as they did not see that coming.
"Did you plan that Akko?" Asked Yue as he was surprised.
"Yeah." Answered Akko as she was glad she remembered where that flower was.
But before they could continue, they felt two magical presentences coming their way. So, acting fast Kero and Yue flew into Akko's backpack.
"Hey." Hearing that Akko looked up and saw the girl and Lotte on the girl's broom.
"Hop on." Said the girl as Akko didn't need to be told twice. Soon the three of them were flying away form the Cockatrice.
"Thank you…" Said Akko as she still didn't know the girl's name.
"Its Sucy. Sucy Manbavaran." Said the know identified Sucy.
"Thank you, Sucy." Said Akko as she meant it. Sure, she could have used the cards to get out of there, but when someone comes to your aid it feels much better.
Then out of no where they heard an explosion. Looking back, they saw the Cockatrice, as it had now taken to the sky.
"That things persistent." Said Akko as she was tried of that thing.
"We can't get away with three people on this." State Lotte in worry as the Cockatrice got closer.
Hearing that Akko made up her mind and was going for the key of sealing. But to everyone's shock the Cockatrice breathed fire at them.
"It's breathing fire!" Yelled Akko in shock as they barely avoid the first breath.
The Cockatrice then fired blast after blast of fire at them. Luckily, they were able to avoid each blast. But unluckily for Akko all the movement made it impossible for her to get the key, without falling off the broom. Akko then felt the heat behind her and turned around and gasped.
"We've caught fire!" She yelled to the other two as the back of the broom was ablaze.
The Cockatrice then fired another fire breath at them. But due to them being worried about the broom on fire they had no time to react.
The broom broke as they girls went flying. As they fell Yue got out of the bag and flew in front of Akko.
"Akko! Repeat after me." He told her in a no-nonsense tone. Akko just nodded as she had no other ideas at the moment as she held the Shiny rob in her hand.
"Noctu Orfei" Started Yue.
"Noctu Orfei" Repeated Akko as the rod glowed
"Aude"
"Aude"
"Fraetor!" The both said at the same time. Then one of the spheres on the Shiny glowed brightly as the rod then morphed into bow. Akko then pulled an arrow out of no where.
"Shiny Arc!" Yelled Akko as she took aim right in front of her and fired. As the arrow flew it somehow opened a hole to the leyline as the three girls flew into it as it then closed.
Seeing that its prey was gone the Cockatrice wandered off. But above the Cockatrice were two of the four figures from earlier only this time you could make out one was some sort of beast with wings, while the other was a human with pixie type wings.
"I must say I was expecting her to use a Clow card, not find the Claoimh Solais." Said the beast as he looked at where the girls were.
"I guess they were right." Said the other one in a female tone. "Atsuko Kagari is full of surprises."
And with that the two flew off as they went to report what just happened.
Back with Akko she and the other flew through the leyline as Akko started to see things. They were moving too fast for her to make anything out, but she could tell they were places and people. As they neared the portal at the end Yue flew back into Akko's backpack.

Luna Nova
At Luna Nova they were in the middle of orientation as all the staff stood on a stage with the student sitting in front of them and on both sides. As the headmistress gave her speech to the students, she stopped when a magic circle formed on the floor before her. At first she thought she saw the circle that Clow Reed used but it then changed. It was nearly the same design, but instead of a large sun in the middle with a moon to the side, there was a large star with the moon and sun on either side of it.
Then from the circle Akko and the others appeared out of no where. Everyone could only gasp at what just happened including all the teachers, but two. As Akko got her bearings she grinned as she knew where she was.
"We did it!" Cried Akko in joy as they finally made it to Luna Nova as she still held the Shiny rod. In her backpack Kero was grinning, while Yue had a small smile on his face.
With the teachers, two of them quickly gave each other knowing grins as they knew what happened, and what was about to happen to Akko.
Later that night Akko and the others got a stern talking to for what they did. But Akko stated it was her doing, so they let Lotte and Sucy go.
"This was an unprecedented orientation." Said one of the school's teachers. She had brown hair tied into a bun with two fringes falling on both sides of her face. She had blue eyes and a pale skin complexion. She wore a dark violet hooded dress that reached to her ankles with long sleeves. The bottom of the drees has a red flame like design. She also had on a brown belt, and she also wore a witch hat with two feathers on it. This was Anne Finnelan one of the teachers at Luna Nova.
"You were admitted due to the principal's special consideration. Please don't forget her kindness" Berated Finnelan as she led Akko down the dorm's hallway.
"Yes, ma'am." Said Akko as that was all she could say.
Finnelan then opened a door as she led Akko into it. "Say hello to your roommates." She told Akko.
Akko then looed into the room and was surprised to see both Lotte and Sucy there. Akko walked into the room dumfounded.
"For the next three years, you three will be given especially strict guidance." Said Finnelan as she then closed the door leaving the three girls and two hidden guardians alone.
Akko just smiled as she knew her time her would be unforgettable. But little did anyone know it would be for different reasons as the four mystery figures watched them through their window and out of sight.
"And so, it begins." Said the human male of the group.
So here's the first chapter of my Little Witch Academia story. For those who didn't read my preview story, I suggest you should, it will help explain what happened when Akko was gathering the cards. I might do a chapter or two focusing on that, but I'm still not sure.
Next I know I didn't use any of the cards in this chapter, but you must understand things are different in this story then in the Cardcaptor world. Akko is a first-generation witch so that means others won't think she's worthy of the cards and try to take them from her. I will be addressing this in a different chapter though.
And can anyone guess who those mystery people are?
And this is important, I won't be working on this story full time like my other stories, so wait before chapters will be longer.
