Chapter 5: Vlad's Mission
Stella left the golden guild room, looking upset.
"I can't believe that the meeting got cancelled like that! Unbelievable!..."She thought, not liking this one bit.
Something came up and Eleanor had to leave town last minute, so the meeting was rescheduled for next week and Stella didn't get a chance to check her email about it. Now, she had nothing to do this afternoon, and Bertha was already busy with another client too.
So, her day was now completely free, and she currently was at a loss on what she could do during her free time.
"Okay. No problem. I'll just call Star and pick up Pierre and then-..."Stella paused before she recalled how happy and excited both her children had been at the prospect of spending the day together.
It was such a sweet little sight seeing them bond like that and she knew how sincere Star is and how much she really wanted to spend time with her little brother. With Star going to college in a handful of years, they wouldn't have as many chances to spend time together and the mother didn't want to spoil their fun. So, the blonde mother decided to just let them have their fun and would pick up her son later as intended.
"Well, Star was looking forward getting to spend a while Saturday with her little brother...and Pierre has missed her a lot. Why don't I let them have their fun for at least a few hours, while I spend one afternoon by myself today?..."Stella thought, not sure if she could get in the way of their special day together.
Stella decided to get some skeet shooting practice done while she was here. So, she walked in the direction of her current goal.
"Excuse me, do you mind if I schedule a skeet shooting for the next few hours or so? My schedule has just opened up..."Stella asked and a servant did just that.
"Right away, Madame Bevier..."The worker said, as he went to do just as she requested.
Soon, Stella began to practice her skeet shooting, using this to get her mind off her recent troubles. However, Stella couldn't feel much satisfaction at her perfect aim since, outside the servants and club worker, there was no one else here.
"Something feels off. Why do I feel like something is happening without my knowledge? Something I wouldn't agree with. Could it be my intuition? Although I can't exactly trust it given how wrong I been with Colette..." She thought, feeling all sorts of things right now.
The majority of them not good, but she tried not to think of that and tried to think about good things right now.
"Could be the practice. I'm just being silly. Everyone will be fine...Everything IS fine!..."She thought, as she tried not to think of that and tried to think about how it's a fine day and wanting to improve her aim.
The blonde woman continued to practice her skeet shooting, trying to focus her mind on THAT and not the feeling in her gut telling her something was wrong.
She tried NOT to think of her issues and continued to practice and improve her aim and distract herself from the problems she didn't want to confront yet.
Meanwhile
Team Phantom were still at Star's house. Georgia stepped out for a moment to get some groceries, leaving the teens alone with the baby for a moment.
Pierre, wearing his regular clothes, was currently playing with his favorite toy tiger, while the teenagers kept an eye on him.
"Tiger...Tiger...Raw rawr..."Pierre said happily with a giggle.
They had already fed him his lunch a little while ago...and spent about ten minutes cleaning up which was easier said than done as the child was laughing as he played with his food. Quite literally.
"Geez. Normally I like peas. But I don't like wearing them on my top or in my hair..."Sam said at the time, since Pierre had flung a lot of his baby food at them while they were trying to feed him.
"Or having to clean them off the walls..."Tucker muttered, as he had just finished wiping the last of the baby food off his shirt.
"Welcome to life as a babysitter. This is why I make it a personal rule not to wear any of my best clothes while I'm babysitting Pierre. He's the sweetest kid in the world but he's also quite a messy eater..." Star said, while her baby brother was giggling.
"At least he didn't flip the bowl over or puke this time..." Danny said, as he recalled what happened the last time they babysat Pierre together.
"Yeah, I prefer him throwing us food than throwing up food. At least that's easier to clean..." Star cringed, as she remembered that one time.
"Still, he's got one heck of an arm. And his left arm isn't too shabby either..." Danny admitted with a chuckle, recalling how Pierre once had been able to throw a peach slice across the room.
"He sure does. Boo. He could be an excellent ghost hunter someday. I can already see him giving trouble to The Box Ghost at least..." Star said proudly.
"Let's not think that far ahead, Starlight. Let's at least wait until he's old enough..." Danny chuckled.
"Okay, Boo..." Star responded.
This moment was interrupted when the saw that Pierre kept crawling around the room, looking at things curiously and getting into harmless mischief. Namely, picking up things and taking them. He then spotted something on the floor that caught his attention, and he went to get it.
"Mine!..."Pierre said, as he picked something up from the ground.
It was Tucker's PDA.
"Uh, no Pierre.. That's mine. Please give it back..."Tucker said, worried the child would break his most recent PDA.
"Come on Pierre. Please give Tucker's PDA back..." Star said in a gentle, but stern voice.
While her baby brother looked at her and he then began drooling over it which made Tucker gasp in shock as if he was having a heart attack. Pierre then just put in on the ground and began crawling around the room again, looking for the next toy he could play with. Tucker picked up his PDA and was relieved that it was still intact. He wiped off the drool and made sure not to leave it anywhere near the baby again.
"Note to self, keep any and all of my tech stuff in my bag at all times while babysitting..."Tucker thought, though he didn't do that yet.
Still, he couldn't help but make some comments.
"I wonder at what age is right for a kid to learn how to play video games..."Tucker said, as he had been playing a game on his PDA and thought out loud.
"He's not even two yet, so he is WAY too little to do that kind of stuff..." Star said with an eye roll.
"You're right, Star. We should at least wait until he's in school first..." Danny said with a chuckle, as the little baby continued having the time of his young life.
"Fun!..."Pierre giggled.
"That's right, little buddy. Spending time with us is always a blast!..." Danny teased.
"Blast...gaga...Haha..."Pierre giggled, as he playfully pulled on Danny's hair.
"Ouch! Pierre. Please don't do that. You're way stronger than you look..." Danny said in a stern way but couldn't help but smile as the baby kept giggling and pulling his hair in an innocent manner.
Star couldn't help but look at her boyfriend lovingly, she never got tired of seeing just how good he was around kids, especially around her baby brother.
"He's so good with Pierre. He really is going to be an amazing Dad someday..." Star thought with affection, as she briefly had a daydream of the future.
Sam noticed this and snapped her fingers in her face.
"Uh...Star...you there? Wake up..."Sam said, snapping Star out of her fantasy.
"What?..." Star asked.
"You zoned out..."The goth girl said.
"Oh...I was just thinking. That's all..."Star said, not wanting to talk about her daydream.
Sam shrugged and decided not to ask further, as they needed to continue to watch over Star's little brother and something to entertain everyone for the rest of the afternoon.
They decided it would probably be best to try and find something to distract Pierre for a moment, and they were currently arguing on what it would be.
"Okay...since we obviously CANNOT watch anything like the Dead Teacher movies, Terminatra, Femalien or Nightmarica until Mrs. Bevier picks up Pierre, maybe we should watch something more kid friendly..." Danny said, while Star nodded in agreement.
"I still don't see what the big deal is. I've been watching Terminatra, Femalien and Nightmarica since I was five...after I learned how to use the VCR, while grandma was taking her nap, and my folks were wasting time at the country club or ordering whatever expensive stuff they wanted at the time..."Sam said like it was no big deal, while her friends stared at her.
"Aren't those movies too dark for a toddler? They are all PG-13..."Tucker argued.
"How was I supposed to know? I was only five..."Sam said, as she also watched these movies with her grandma despite her parents complaining they are "too spooky" or something like that.
Star rolled her eyes at that response.
"This explains so much..." The blonde girl muttered, while her baby brother clapped happily.
"Yes, it does..." Danny and Tucker agreed, while Sam rolled her eyes.
"You guys worry too much. I watched that kind of stuff all the time as a kid and I turned out just fine..."The Goth said, crossing her arms.
"That's a matter of opinion..." Star thought but didn't say out loud as she didn't want to get into a fight.
"It's Star's baby brother, she should decide for him..." Danny said.
"Yeah, and I'm not letting my adorable baby brother get nightmares watching those things, so I'm picking the movie. Something NOT scary and age appropriate for him..." Star said.
"If you say anything that involves Sayonara Pussycat, I'm out of here..."Sam said with disdain.
"At least that's child appropriate and I'd rather hear my baby brother laugh than to hear him cry in sheer terror..." Star argued.
"I second that motion..." Danny agreed.
"Fine, I wasn't even serious about the movie thing. Just Sayonara Pussycat..."Sam said, being her usual self.
"Why not watch something like the Captain Marvelous series or Turbo Toni? At least some of their movies are for kids..." Danny suggested.
"Now that I think I can live with..."Sam said, while Star considered it.
"Fine, but I have to check it first and make sure there isn't anything Captain Marvelous that isn't good for him. If there is, then we're going with the Turbo Toni Movie and even then, he shouldn't watch too much TV..." Star said, being protective of her little brother.
"You really are such a protective older sister..." Danny said with a smile.
"Is there a problem with that?..." Star asked in a playful warning way.
"No. It's sweet what a wonderful big sister you are to him..." Danny said with affection, making Star smile.
"Oh, Danny-Boo..." Star said, smiling after hearing that.
Sam and Tucker rolled their eyes at this.
"Barf. At least don't act so gross right now. There is a little kid here..."Sam complained, while the couple rolled their eyes.
"Oh, grow up. You can handle horror movie when you were 5, but watching us be lovey dovey is too much for you?..." Star questioned.
"That's different!..."Sam said, earning eye rolls.
The teenagers continued to their friendly argument. One where Star was winning.
Meanwhile Pierre got up and walked slowly to the diaper bag that was on the ground and began looking inside it.
"Pierre, what are you looking for?..." Star asked, as she went to him.
"Danny...Star...Star..."Pierre repeated, as he kept looking.
"What's wrong, Little guy?..." Danny asked, wondering what Pierre was doing.
Then, the little baby grabbed something that was in his diaper bag. They were two dolls that looked like Danny and Star in their ghost forms.
"Danny! Star!..."Pierre giggled as he held his new toys.
"Wait...is that us?..."Danny went as the little boy held dolls about him and his girlfriend in their heroic alter egos.
"Aw, Mom must have bought these for Pierre and put it in the bag for him to play with..." Star said, as her baby brother began having a little adventure with his toys.
"Gaga...Star...Danny...baba...hahaha..."Pierre said in babytalk, as he pretended the toys were having a conversation before he tossed them in the air and laughed happily.
"Aw, I wonder what he's talking about. Whatever it is, I'll bet it's cute..."Star gushed, finding this adorable while her boyfriend couldn't help but comment about something.
"They are still selling toys of us?..." Danny said, as the little boy continued to play with the dolls that resembled his and Star's respective ghost forms.
"Dude, you really need to get an agent or something. Looks like they are only gonna take advantage of your likeness even more. They even started to make toys of Star now..."Tucker said while Danny frowned in annoyance.
The ghost boy would have said something, but Pierre grabbed his hand, trying to get his attention.
"Danny...Fly...Fly..."Pierre said, as he threw the doll as if that was a visual effect for the hero to Go Ghost.
Danny smiled as he picked the little boy up and held him in his arms.
"Ah, you wanna fly? Okay, let's fly. But not too high, alright?..." Danny said, as he held Pierre and pretended to fly with him, while the baby laughed happily and clapped in excitement.
"Just be careful with him, Danny..." Star said in concern.
"Don't worry, Starlight. Pierre will be safe and sound..." Danny replied.
"I don't doubt that but still be careful..." She said with a smile.
"Air Phantom is perfectly capable of providing absolute safety to all passengers. Now, please refrain from attempting to remove all safety measures. I don't come equipped with seatbelts. Okay, little guy. Let's get ready for take off..." Danny asked and the baby laughed happily and cheered in response, as the ghost kid continued to pretend to fly with him.
"Aw, look how far you're going!..." Danny said, as he even levitated just a few inches above the ground and Pierre giggled more and more.
Star watched this and couldn't help but smile at that cute sight of her boyfriend and her baby brother having fun together.
"Oh, Danny..." Star said, as she found this moment to be very sweet and loving this.
Danny continued to play with Pierre like this and the little baby boy kept smiling and giggling as he was levitating in the air.
However, the fun was cut short when they heard a hard knock on the door. Danny landed on the ground and changed back to his human form.
"Huh? Who can that be? Mom's meeting isn't supposed to be over for a few more hours..."Star said as she went to answer the door.
Once she did, she was face to face with a frantic Valerie.
"Hey Val..." Star greeted. "What's up?..."She asked as her friend seemed nervous about something.
Her best friend didn't have time for pleasantries and just went straight to the point.
"Star! Danny! Do you know what Ectoranium is?..."Val asked quickly, having left her ghost gear at home to make sure Vlad couldn't overhear this conversation.
"It's a super rare element that is rumored to be super effective against ghosts and apparently worse than blood blossoms and spectral algae put together..." Danny said.
"So, you do know?..."Val asked.
"Yeah, son of ghost hunters, remember. Mostly my parents use plasma to replicate ectoranium'S effects for the ghost shield and their weapons. But why do I get the feeling you're asking this isn't because of a sudden interest in geology..."Danny asked.
"Afraid not. Because it has something to do with a certain Fruitloop we all know and loathe. Apparently, he discovered some near Lake Eerie, and he wants ME to go collect it for him and I have no doubt that he plans on using it against you..."Val revealed, explaining Vlad's test to see if she's still loyal to him or not.
That got Team Phantoms's attention and not in a good way.
"Vlad and Ectoranium? That CANNOT be a good combination..."Tucker said, stating the obvious.
"No kidding..."Sam said already fearing the worst.
"Why is it that every time we have a break, that cheesehead has to come in and ruin it?..." Star asked frustrated.
"Because he's a miserable, bitter, lonely, putrid ghost who only seems to have fun ruining our lives and doesn't care how many people he has to hurt to do it!..." Danny said in anger, knowing his archenemy well enough by now.
The ghost boy then recalled something Val just said and panicked.
"Wait?! Did you say Lake Eerie?!..." Danny asked, concerned.
"Yeah, he didn't tell me much, but apparently his sources think that there might be some there..."Val said.
"Oh no, that's where Dani is hiding. If Vlad finds her there then he might try to melt her down to make new clones again!..." Danny said, worried for his little cousin/clone.
"This isn't good. We gotta warn Dani and Wulf! Better yet, get them out of there ASAP!..." Star said.
"Already on it..."Sam said as she pulled out her cell phone and quickly called the little Phantom.
As Danny did the same, Tucker double checked with Valerie about any other news about Vlad and the Ectoranuium.
Hopefully, anything they learn will save Danielle.
A little later
Sam finished her phone call and turned to the others.
"Okay, I already warned Danielle. Wulf says that he will keep an eye on her and they'll lay low, but I suggest that we do something and fast before Vlad gets any ideas..."Sam said.
"Whatever we do, we need to do it quickly but carefully too..."Danny said.
"Consider it done..."Star said.
"So, now what do I do? Vlad tried bribing me to go collect that stuff and it took A LOT of will power not to punch him in the smug face of his..."Val said angrily, really wishing they could finally be free of that phony.
"I really wish I could knock some of his teeth off right now..." Star grunted.
"We really need to find another way to hide Danielle from that Fruitloop and keep her safe. I'd say that we do that first, but you all know how dangerous Vlad is. We have to be careful and smart. He acts like all of this is a big game of chess..."Danny said, knowing how tricky and dangerous the world's oldest half-ghost can be.
"So, we need to be a few moves ahead of him if we want any chance of an absolute win. Can't let our queen's defense be too late to deal with his king's gambit..."Star said, while the others sent her looks.
"What? So, I know how to play chess? I used to play that with my dad and grandpa all the time when I was a kid. It's can be fun game when you play with someone you actually like..."Star said with a shrug.
"I'm finding out more things about you every day. Almost like discovering another reason why I love you so much..."Danny said with a smile.
"Now's not the time, Boo... But... you can gush all you want later..." Star said.
"Right. We need to get Danielle and Wulf out of that cabin ASAP, before Vlad gets suspicious of Val taking so long to look for some rare glowing green rocks..."Danny said, already coming up with plan.
"Now you're talking..." Star said. "For now, Val. Keep Vlad busy and try and find out more of whatever evil scheme he's cooked up this time. In the meantime, we'll all try to send Danielle someplace safer away from Vlad. And hopefully find and get rid of that ectoranium before that fruitloop finds it and uses it. If there is any..."Star said.
Val nodded.
"Got it. But what do we do to keep Vlad from wasting me? I care about thekid and all, but I'm going to end up being the guest of honor at my own funeral if he finds out I'm a double agent..."She pointed out.
That was a good point. They needed a way to keep everyone safe, Wulf, Dani and Valerie all of the above. And they needed to make sure that Vlad didn't discover that Val was no longer on his side.
"True, he tried to waste Jazz once he found out she was tricking him when she pretended to be on his side. And he supposedly claims he saw her as his daughter..."Danny said, knowing how low his arch enemy could sink if he's pushed enough.
"I've got an idea. We can make some rocks look like this ectoranium stuff. I can get some regular rocks and paint them to look like the ectoranium, but without the "destroying ghosts" stuff and you can hand those over to Vlad and trick him into thinking his source was wrong..." Star suggested.
"Like fools gold. We can show you what ectoranium looks like and trick Vlad with it..."Sam said, agreeing with the idea.
"That might work. First, we get rid of the real ones if there are any. Then Star can use her art skills to replicate the phony ones. Then Val can take those to Vlad and try to figure out whatever plan he's schemed up this time..."Danny said.
"Do you think he'll buy it?..."Val asked, since she knew that as insane as Vlad is, he's not a moron.
"It probably won't take long for him to figure out the ectoranium is fake. But we might be able to convince him that his sources were wrong and he won't get suspicious of you if you act like it's real..." Danny said.
"I guess that's the best we can do for now. I still wish that I can just blast that two-faced crook to smithereens right now..."Val said, wishing she could use her weapons on her so-called boss right now.
"Believe me, you're not the only one who feels that way..." Danny said, and the others nodded.
"So, what exactly do you need to make fake ectoranium?..."Tucker said, turning to Star.
"I'll need lots of rocks. Some glowing green paint, a picture of that ectoranium and maybe some of your parents ectoplasm to act like some sort of pseudo ectoranium to maybe trick Vlad into thinking that his sources just mistook it for something else..." Star said.
"On it..."Sam said, as she dialed a number on her phone, called a certain delivery service and placed the order.
A few moments later, there was a knock on Star's door and Sam answered it.
"Here's your order, Sam..." Tracy said, handing her several boxes full of supplies.
"Thanks Tracy. And here's a tip for showing up ahead of schedule..."Sam said, as she paid for the purchases and tipped the delivery girl.
"Happy to be of service. Feel free to use of delivery company again soon..." Tracy said, before she left.
Once she was gone, Team Phantom and Valerie began to discuss their plan and what their next move is.
"Okay, Val. We'll head to Lake Eerie and get rid of those ectoranium rocks if there are any. You just pretend to be Vlad's side and make him think you still trust him so he doesn't catch on and we can get everything else ready for you..."Danny said.
"Okay, you can count on me! It's not easy pretending to me nice to that creep but I'll do my best..." Valerie said with determination in her voice as she left to go get her ghost gear and get ready.
Once everyone left to go do their respective tasks, Star left Sam and Tucker to look after Pierre while Danny went to get ready to help Danielle and make sure that they can get away from Lake Eerie before Vlad and his goons figure out anything.
"I just hope Wulf can protect Danielle, if Vlad finds her...I don't even want to think about it..." Star said.
"Let's hope that doesn't end up happening. But I trust Wulf, he'll keep Danielle safe. Still, we need to work fast..." Danny said.
"Right..."The others said, nodding.
"Let's see what I have to work with..." Star said, as she began to use her art skills to make the fake Ectoranium.
While the blonde girl looked up what Ectoranium looks like on her cellphone and began to use her art skills to her advantage.
"I hope this works..."Star thought as she began to paint, while her little brother crawled to her.
"Star...paint..."Pierre giggled as he reached for her art supplies but his big sister stopped her.
"Uh...sorry but no, Pierre. Big sister needs this for work..."Star said, as she picked him up and walked him away.
She handed him to Sam, but Pierre began to whimper and look like he was about to cry. Star felt bad about this.
"Oh no..."Star said, as she tried to think fast.
She checked his diaper bag and smiled once she found what she was looking for.
"Look Pierre. Your favorite coloring book..."Star said cheerfully as she handed it to the baby boy.
Pierre, who looked like he was on the verge of crying, instantly cheered up as he held the coloring book in his hands and Star handed the age-appropriate crayons for him to color with Sam and Tucker.
"Make sure he doesn't draw on the walls..."Star said, as she went back to making her phony ectoranium.
Sam and Tucker turned to the baby, who was now calm and happy as he wanted to draw in his coloring book.
"Okay, Pierre. Let's go color with these nice crayons your sister gave us..."Sam said in a soft, cooing voice as she and Tucker took the baby to a safe area away from Star's "work", while Danny went to go get ready for helping Danielle.
"I hope she'll be okay..."Danny thought in concern for his little cousin/clone.
Elsewhere
Stella had just finished her skeet shooting, feeling tired but fulfilled. But it was temporarily.
She knew that she couldn't be here all day, even if it was kind of tempting.
"What now?..." She pondered out loud.
Stella looked down, wondering why she was beginning to feel a bit hollow inside.
"Pierre is having a fun day with Star...Eleanor is out of town...Jean Luc is busy with work...and I don't even know what Johnathan might be up too these days..."Stella thought, feeling a strange emptiness inside.
This feeling vaguely reminded her of that one moment in her life that was an image clear as day that she tried desperately to forget, but it always remained in the back of her mind whenever she felt like she had done something wrong towards Star.
Stella sometimes wondered if these vague reminders were the built up guilt inside, piling past actions towards Star resurfacing in her mind.
While she made strides in improving her relationship with her daughter, history lingered in the back of her mind. The misdeeds of the past echoed painfully in familiar accents began to mix itself with the noise. Stella recognized Colette's voice, mocking her as the mother tried to distance herself from that grave row of mistakes.
Easier said than done.
The blonde woman felt a strange loneliness and emptiness right now, and it didn't go away yet.
"Now what do I do?..."She thought, already missing her children and wanting someone to talk to.
Suddenly, she heard a blast, and it got her attention.
"Oh dear, now what..."Stella said, but soon saw caused it and heard some familiar voices.
"Ah, darn it. It got away..."A male voice was heard.
"Look on the bright side, Dear. At least you just hit a trash can and not another window..."A female, calmer voice said, and Stella recognized them.
She spotted Jack and Maddie and smiled suddenly.
"Oh, Jack! Maddie! Hi there!..."Stella waved.
"Oh, hello Stella..."Maddie greeted.
"Hey..."Jack answered.
"Oh...so...what brings you both here?..."Stella asked, wanting to talk to them.
"We were trying to track down a ghost weasel and then dissect it..."Maddie answered.
"After tearing it apart molecule by molecule..."Jack said.
"Oh, a ghost weasel. My, how exciting. Here, let me help..."Stella said suddenly as she grabbed one of their ghost fighting weapons.
This surprised the couple.
While Stella has helped them deal with ghosts before and has an impressive aim now thanks to her skeet shooting lessons, her sudden volunteering to assist the Fenton's seemed a bit out of character to them.
"Uh...Stella, you don't have to-..."
"Oh, it's no trouble at all. Just want to do my part in helping keep our lovely town safe. Besides, three heads are better than two..."Stella said cheerfully, aiming the barrel of the gun down the direction where the ghost weasel went.
However, before Stella pulled the trigger and fired at the ghost weasel's hiding spot. She looked at the anti-ghost weapon and wondered if she was pointing it at the right end. Not wanting to cause any unnecessary damage, Stella turned around and asked the Fentons which end was which. Her finger glided the on button with the barrel pointed at Jack's head, who promptly reaimed the vacuum with one finger away from him.
"So, how do you work this again?…"Stella said, as she looked at the bazooka, wondering if she was holding it towards the right side. Since it was a lot bigger than the lipstick blaster or mini blasters she has learned to use by now.
Both Jack and Maddie Fenton felt a bit awkward, but still helped Stella point the anti-ghost weapon the right way.
They knew she wouldn't let go. It was better this way, at least, or she'd cause potentially more damage than them on a bad day. If such a thing is possible.
The blonde woman, oblivious to their thoughts, just smiled in a cheerful manner as she spoke to them.
"Now come along you two. There's much work to be done..."Stella said, as she skipped about town.
All the while, the ghost hunting couple shared a look, unsure about this whole thing.
"I have a bad feeling about this, Mads..."He said.
"I do too, Jack. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think this will be a pleasant ghost hunting experience..."She nodded.
"So much for our date together huh?..." He asked.
"Don't worry Jack. There's always a next time hunting some ectoplasmic scum..." Maddie encouragingly said.
"That's the optimistic point of view I love about you..."Jack said fondly to his wife before he kissed her.
Before the Fenton parents continued their loving embrace, Stella got caught in the Fenton Ghost Fisher and needed help getting untangled.
"Uh...a little help..."Stella said sheepishly.
Maddie sighed as she walked towards her, pressed a button and soon Stella was freed.
"Oh, thank you. Not sure how that happened..."Stella said in a slightly embarrassed way.
"It happens..."Jack said, recalling the past several times something like that happened to him.
Stella then put a chipper smile on her face as she spoke to the other two adults.
"Well, come along you two. We have ghosts to find. I want to show how much my aim has improved since New York..."Stella said in a way that was a little TOO chipper as she practically skipped.
Jack and Maddie shared a look at each other, wondering how this ended up happening.
Meanwhile
In the Ghost Zone
"WARRIORS! STAND YOUR GROUND! ROUT THE ENEMIES! DON'T LET THEM SUCCEED!..." Frostbite ordered as he used his powers to freeze another robot.
His men followed suit and froze many more robots. The problem is that more appeared, and they appeared to be an endless army that were starting to overwhelm the ghosts.
"EGAD! They're as far as the eye can see!..."One warrior, Frost, shouted.
"Just keep fighting! We can't let them get near the Infi-Map!..."Frostbite ordered and he and his warriors refused to stand down.
The warriors of the far frozen kept fighting, unaware that a certain evil halfa...or rather a copy of him, was nearby and watched the whole thing.
"What a bunch of frozen fools. Not keeping their eyes on the entire chess board. So, Don't they realize that I already won!..."Vlad thought as his latest pawn began their next move.
"It's all going according to plan..."He thought arrogantly, as he watched the events from a video from his spy bugs who were following his newest minions.
With The Master's Blasters
Donovan and his friends soon arrived and began their next move.
"Wow, this virtual reality is so realistic. Way better than those lame video games my parents got me for my last birthday..."Thrash said in awe.
"Realistic is right. I even feel super cold too. If not for the protection of these suits, I'd say that we were actually in the North Pole or something..."Vid complained, still feeling a little cold.
"Shut up, we're supposed to be infiltrating here. We complete this mission and we'll be a step closer to gaining our place as the elites of this garbage heap peasant town. SO, MOVE! MOVE! MOVE!..."Donovan said, wanting to finish this mission and claim victory, as well as be a step closer to getting his revenge.
That, and he needed an ego boost right about now.
Thrash just wanted to play this awesome video game. And Vid just wanted to use this game as a stress reliever. They managed to sneak past some big yeti-like guards after a bunch of robots crashed in and they began to go after them...leaving the room alone.
"Wow, this virtual reality is really cool. If Mr. Masters sells it, I can see him making even more money. Do you think he'd give us a cut if we convince him to use us as playable characters?..."Thrash wondered.
"We'll ask him later. Let's just find that thing before those freakish virtual guards are back..."Vid said in a harsh tone.
Download, Thrash and Vid soon snuck faster into what they believed was a virtual Frozen wasteland.
The three former rich kids were a little impressed with how realistic the gaming graphics looked. If they didn't know any better, they would have sworn they were actually in another dimension, in freezing cold weather sneaking into some kind of mystical place that was guarded by yetis of all things. However, they didn't want to focus on that.
They wanted to finish their final test and prove Mr. Masters they were worthy of being his new Master Blasters...and get paid too.
"Do you see it anywhere? That mag thingy..."Thrash said, as they looked for it.
"How should I know where it is?! Just keep looking!..."Donovan whispered in a harsh voice.
"Keep looking. It shouldn't be this hard to find some stupid, old map and then we can leave before those ugly virtual yeti freaks show up..."Vid said impatiently.
The stuck-up kids really wanted to pass this test with flying virtual colors. They also wanted to get paid faster too.
"Geez, where is it? It's not like a map like that should be hard to find..."Donovan complained, while Vid rolled her eyes.
"Stop whining and keep looking. I want to get out of here and actually get paid for a job that is actually not dorky already, okay..."Vid nagged, while Donovan sent her a glare.
Before one of their infamous arguments started again, Thrash/Theodore got their attention.
"Guys, I think that I found it..."Thrash said, as he pointed at a certain direction.
"For real? Give it here!..."Download said rudely, as he tried to reach for it, but Vid grabbed it first and inspected it with mild interest.
"Yeah, it looks like it. Now all we have to do is find our new boss Mayor Masters and-..."Vid said, but suddenly the map started glowing and this surprised the trio.
"What's happening?!..."Thrash said in a panic, as the glow surrounded them.
"You broke it?! What did you do?!..."Download shouted at her.
"I didn't do anything, you moron-..."Vid didn't get to finish, as they suddenly zoomed out of the chambers, and they flew out the room.
And they weren't exactly subtle about it as they screamed in terror and clung to the map for dear life.
Frostbite saw this and gasped in horror.
"THE INFI-MAP?!..."The chief shouted in horror as he and his warriors tried to prevent its theft.
The robots then planted pylons in the ground creating a ghost shield big enough that prevented the inhabitants of the Far Frozen to go after the map thieves. Unfortunately, this shield was reversed so the ghosts couldn't get out or in.
The chief of the Far frozen tried to find away around, but he and his men were unable to escape as they watched their most prized treasure be stolen.
"Oh no! This cannot be possible!..." Frostbite whispered in shock.
"What should be do, Chief?..." Another Yeti asked.
"The only thing we can do..." Frostbite said grimly. "We need help! For the Infi-Map cannot fall into the wrong hands!..."He said, as he thought fast.
He ordered his warriors to bring a particular device to him. Once they did, Frostbite pressed a few buttons and waited a moment before it lit up.
"Please work..."Frostbite thought hopefully.
The machine produced a drill that thankfully managed to go through the shield and was soon on its way to his destination.
"Thank goodness. Now let's just hope that it makes it..."Frostbite said, looking apprehensive but determined.
"Whom did you sent the signal towards, Chief?..."Blizzard asked.
"I'll give you a hint, he wears black and white..."Frostbite answered, since they only had ally who fit that description.
Danny Phantom.

Help!
A/N(1): I dedicate this chapter to my family, my friends and my love for God :)
A/N(2): Special thanks for NeoMark, BeConFuzzled Writer, 61394, Jay The Average Fanboy, Invader Johnny and Luiz4200 for their help. You guys rock :)
REPLIES to my loyal and totally awesome reviewers:
RonaldM40196867:
1) Vlad covered the bill for the damages, just to earn more of the Masters Blasters loyalty.
2) Right.
3) Thanks for the suggestion. I'll see what I can do.
Jebest4781: Thank you :)
61394: Thank you :)
Invader Johnny: Yeah, Jean-Luc is a lousy father.
Danifan3000, Fiction Realm: I guess that we will have to wait and see what happens.
SuperSonicBros123: Thank you :)
Luiz4200: Thanks again for your help.
Luffy is king: I see Stella and Reginald as friends to be honest.
JDF Legacier Morphicon:
1) Vlad claims to love football but I don't think he'd be that great at it to be honest. Though knowing him, he'd probably use his powers to cheat in order to win.
2) Not really.
3) It all depends.
4) I'd say Jazz since she is technically more mature than Tucker and Sam and Jazz did express a desire to be a hero too.
5) I did initially feel some pity for Vlad due to his lab accident, but I lost it after I saw how low he would sink to get what he wants, such as how he callously endangered so many people's lives and how he treated Danielle. I do believe Vlad eventually got what he deserved in Phantom Planet.
Scooter2: For now, Danny and his friends are worried about Vlad, but I will see what I can do.
:) I hope you enjoyed this! Remember to read and review :)
