Chapter 11: Dimensional Shifts
Valerie Gray had just arrived home, and she was not in a good mood to say the least.
"What a day..."She said with a tired sigh.
Her dad still wasn't home since he was still a work. Val went to her room, thinking about recent events. Such as the "mission" that Fruitloop sent her on and how he still seems to think that she's on his side.
"At least Star and Danny managed to help Danielle. But I don't know how much longer we can do this. We got to do something about that monster! Now!..."She thought in anger, her fists shaking.
She wanted to grab her ghost hunting gear, find that Fruitloop and make him pay for everything he's done already. However, her friends keep insisting that they need to wait for the right moment.
"I don't know what they are waiting for! The sooner we deal with him the better!..."She thought, still furious at Vlad for all the bad things that he has done.
She hated how he used her as a weapon and made her do his dirty work. She hated how she tricked her into thinking he was a good guy and made her do so many bad things, all because of his deranged grudge against Danny and his family.
Valerie knew that the sooner that Vlad was out of their hair, it would be better for everyone. Not just for her but Danny, Star, Danielle, all their friends, her mother, the rest of Amity Park and-
"Wait...mother?!..."Val thought in confusion as she suddenly felt strange.
She noticed that a nearby photo, one that she has with her father was different. She checked it and saw that her father had been replaced with a certain woman whom Valerie hasn't seen in a long time.
"Wait?...MOM?!..."Val went as she rubbed her eyes.
She checked again and her father was once again in the picture. The red huntress was confused right now, wondering if she was seeing things now.
"What was that?..."Val asked out loud, feel confused and shaken right now.
She felt some sadness and felt tears threatening to fall from her eyes. However, she fought them as she tried to make sense over what just happened. She looked around, wondering what was going on before she shook her head, feeling a migraine right now.
"Maybe I've been doing too much overtime at the Nasty Burger..."She wondered but still felt that something was wrong here.
Meanwhile
With Team Phantom
"...uhh...guys...is it normal for the Infi-Map to charge images like this?..." Star asked as she pointed out how the images on the Infi-Map had changed from how it originally looked before.
"Normally yes, but only when we ask it to take us somewhere. This feels different..." Danny said out of caution, thinking that something might be wrong.
Really wrong.
Vlad noticed the pieces of the Infi-Map glowing and panicked.
"WHAT DID YOU BRATS DO?!..."Vlad shouted, blaming them.
"What we did, you-..."Danny didn't get a chance to finish as both pieces glowed even brighter and they both noticed some sparks as well.
Which is NOT a good sign.
"Uh oh..."Danny said in dread, getting a bad feeling about this.
"Uh oh..."Vlad said, also getting a bad feeling about this.
"Uh oh..."Star, Sam and Tucker all said, as they braced themselves.
A sudden blast happened, sending both parties flying in opposite directions. Star, Sam and Tucker managed to hit the deck and avoid the blast, but Danny wasn't so lucky.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!..."Danny shouted as he quickly created an ecto-shield to protect himself and the others, but the force from the map was strong and sent him flying into a nearby building.
"DANNY!..."Star shouted in concern as she ran towards him.
"Dude! Are you okay?!..."Tucker asked, while his friend sent him a flat look. "Sorry, standard question...but seriously?..."He asked.
"Other than a headache...just peachy..."Danny said as Star helped him up.
"Where's the map?..."Sam asked.
Danny panicked but soon saw that he still had it and sighed in relief.
"Okay. It stopped glowing. Hopefully that's a good thing..."He said but was still unsure.
All he was sure of was that they need to get the rest of the map away from Vlad and fast. However, that was easier said than done and they knew that.
"Time to find that Fruitloop and set time right..."Danny said as he took to the skies to find his archenemy.
"My Boo can do it. That psycho really has gone too far this time with his madness. Danny really is mad at him this time..."Star said, still worried about her boyfriend.
"Yeah. Like, can you blame Danny? If that Fruitloop went after my grandparents, I'd totally want to deck him too..." Sam said with a perky voice that shocked Star and Tucker.
"What the?!..."Tucker said as they turned to see Sam, now blonde, wearing a jacket from a place called Amity Park Academy for girls over a cheerleader uniform with PINK shoes too.
The sight was enough to make their jaws drop, as if they had just seen something unbelievable.
"Like...guys? What are you guys looking at?..." Sam asked as she pulled a compact mirror from her PINK purse to check her appearance.
"Sam! What the-... look at what you're wearing?!..." Tucker said before noticing Star had changed too.
Instead of her usual outfit, she was now wearing something that arguably something Sam would have worn instead. Her outfit had become black with a blue trench coat and her blonde hair was cut short and spiky as she even had black and red highlights too, along with wearing heavy makeup and black lipstick too.
"Star?! You've gone goth now?!..."He exclaimed, looking stunned.
"Tucker, what are you talking about? I've been goth since my dad left me and my mom for that witch Suzette!..." Star said, saying the name of Psycollete's decent parent hatefully in the tone she usually reserved for Jean-Luc.
"Wait...what...but I thought-..."Tucker was silent as they all suddenly felt a wave of energy from the Infi-Map again, and both Star and Sam were back to normal, but both felt like something was off.
"Ugh! My head...why do I remember all of the Amity Academy for girls cheer routines?..."Sam said with a shudder.
"Don't know. Uh...why do I suddenly feel that Nightmerica is a better villainess than Femalien and Terminatra?..." Star asked, sounding dizzy.
"Because she is..."Sam said, like Star just said something that was supposed to be obvious.
"You...uh...you two both just...uh... I just don't know what to say about any of that...but-..."Tucker tried to explain what just happened to them.
Once he did, this was their reactions.
"WHAT?!..."They both exclaimed, unable to believe what they had just heard.
"I saw it myself and look, the two pieces of the Infi-Map glowed again a second ago! I think this means Vlad messed up with time even WORSE than we thought!..."Tucker said in a panic.
"If that's true, then how come you-..."Sam was silent as another wave happened and soon to their shock, Tucker was soon replaced.
Suddenly, he now looked like he was some kind of jock, even carrying a football and wearing sunglasses instead of his usual glasses.
"Tucker, is that you?!..."Sam asked, jaw dropping.
"Duh. Who else would I be? Dash?..."The Tucker like guy said, sounding very different from their friends.
Another wave happened and Tucker was back to normal but he felt off too.
"Uh...why do I suddenly feel like I just went through gym class again...and why do I suddenly know so many football terms and how to get a subscription to Jock's Quarterly?..."Tucker said, and the girls were more concern now.
"Oh man...time and reality really are shifting into each other..."Star said in worry.
"Not if we have anything to say about it!..."Sam said, determined before she turned to her tech-obsessed friend and told him what just happened.
"Oh man. This is serious. We got to stop Vlad before he makes me hate technology or turns me into a vegetarian!..."Tucker muttered under his breath, shuddering at the thought of eating nothing but vegetables.
"Seriously? That's what you are worried about right now?..."Sam asked, annoyed.
"Do you want to risk being a cheerleader who likes PINK again?..."Tucker pointed out and Sam's eyes widened in a panic.
"Okay, point taken. Now we really have to stop Vlad before he like messes up the timeline. There is NO WAY I am ever wearing a pink uniform in ANY timeline!..." Sam said, shuddering as she didn't even want to KNOW how such a thing even happened in the first place.
"Yeah. I don't mind wearing black, but goth isn't my thing. No offense..."Star said, as they went to go help Danny before time and reality starts to fall apart.
With Danny
The ghost boy was searching for his archenemy again.
"Where is that lunatic?..."Danny asked, angry as he searched for his foe.
The ghost boy kept looking for his archenemy, determined to find him and stop him. However, someone called out to him.
"Danny!..."Was heard.
"Guys, what's wrong? Did you guys find that fruitloop?..."Danny said but stopped.
However, he noticed something odd with his friends and his girlfriend. Sam was suddenly dressed up like a typical nerd girl with glasses and wear non-goth clothes, while Star looked like some kind of rocker chick, almost dressing like Ember would.
The ghost boy was surprised to say the least.
"Star?! Sam?! What happened to you guys?!..."Danny asked in shock, only for something else strange to happen.
"What do you mean?..."The girls asked before things shifted and they went back to normal.
"Why do I suddenly feel like I know about tech almost as much as Tucker does? And why do I suddenly feel like I actually know what Nerd Poker's real name is and what it's actually about?..."Sam said, feeling dizzy.
"And why do I feel like I was even more obsessed with rock music than Ember is?..."Star said, also dizzy.
Danny blinked.
"Uh...why-..."The ghost boy began and his tech-obsessed friend answered him.
"I think that the Infi-Map being in pieces is starting to affect time and space. Just a second ago, Sam was suddenly dressing like Paulina would and Star was a goth...and then they suddenly turned back to normal...it was so weird..."Tucker said, still normal.
"But...how come you and I weren't affected now?..."Danny asked, not understanding.
"I was. Apparently I was a jock...don't ask...as for you...don't know. Maybe it's your powers, you holding the Infi-Map or maybe the Infi-Map just didn't decide to change you yet...who knows? This whole mess is just getting crazier!..."Tucker said, sounding agitated and anxious right now.
""Uh...Tucker, calm down...Are you okay?..."Danny asked.
"No, I'm not. Time just might be falling apart and I'm trying hard not to freak out here! So sorry if I'm not exactly peachy right now!..."Tucker said, looking unnerved.
Sam, Danny and Star all blinked at that.
"Well...I guess I can't really blame him for that this time..."Sam admitted, and the others nodded.
"Which means we still need to find Plasmius and fast..."Danny said in determination as he continued searching for his archenemy, and the other's followed him.
With Vlad
"What in the name of evil is going on here?..."The fruitloop said in shock, unable to believe what he is seeing.
The blast from the Infi-Map sent him across town and briefly knocked him out. Once he recovered, he started to notice strange things.
Such as people suddenly changing clothes and technology suddenly shifting to different periods of time, before changing back, acting as if they never noticed it. He saw the people of his era suddenly looking like they are from the stone age...then suddenly wearing 80's era fashion and then dressing like it was the Middle Ages before returning to their original forms.
The evil halfa didn't like this.
"Oh, Butter Biscuits! This doesn't look good. I got to get the rest of the map from Daniel before my own existence is either undone or worse, Daniel finds out that I married his hideous aunt and blabs to Maddie..."Vlad said with a glare.
However, before he could do anything else, his archenemy found him.
"PLASMIUS!..."Danny shouted as he flew towards him, his friends and girlfriend also showed up as well, looking angry.
Vlad smirked.
"Right on time, Daniel. I was just about to search for you and your friends to pick up the rest of my map. Now hand it over already.. I don't have all day..."Vlad ordered.
"So not happening, you maniac!..."Danny said as he fired ice blasts at him.
Vlad dodged.
"I see that you are still so stubborn. I certainly WON'T miss that trait about you once your obsolete..."The evil halfa said before his eyes glowed red, ready to continue this battle.
"So not happening, you psycho!..."Danny said as he, his girlfriend and friends all joined the fight.
All of the heroes tried their best to fight the evil fruitloop. The battle continued and Team Phantom gave all they got.
Sam jumped onto the roof of a car, taking aim she fired her blaster at their worst enemy when Danny gave her an opening. Danny then threw a punch, sending Vlad plummeting towards Star who slashed at the jerk with her saber.
"Thanks Starlight..." Danny said.
"Any time, Boo..."Star said but soon noticed that Vlad was up to no good again.
The evil halfa then began to attack. Vlad created about 4 duplicates of himself and were about to attack again. Team Phantom struggled as the fruitloop and his copies all charged, ready to attack again before they noticed arrows flying at Vlad, the original and the copies, eliminating them and leaving only the original Vlad.
"Huh?..."The heroes went when they saw more arrows flying.
Arrows shot by Tucker.
"GAH!..."Vlad yelled.
"Huh?..."Team Phantom said as they saw what just happened.
"Come on, guys. We've got to kick that Fruitloop back to the present..." Tucker said, but he was in a different outfit again.
This time, his beret is gone replaced with a beanie, he was wearing some kind of uniform, as well as a bow in his hand and a quiver on his back
"Tucker?..."Sam asked confused.
"What are those?..."Star asked as she pointed at the arrows.
"Anti-ghost arrows. Never leave home without em. Now, come on, let's hurry..."Tucker said as he fired more at Vlad who tried to dodge them.
"When did he leave home with them?..." Sam questioned before another wave happened and he changed back.
"Why do I suddenly feel like how I felt the time we first took on Aragon?..."Tucker asked with a dizzy expression.
"Oh no, time really is changing..."Danny said in worry.
However, it didn't end there. Vlad continued to fight and changes were being made. Around them objects from the past blipped in and around them. The headline of the newspaper changing over and over, each one mentioning historic events and even people briefly changed as well.
Danny saw this and got worried.
"Oh nuts...Frostbite and Clockwork aren't going to like this..."He thought as he knew they needed to end this fast.
His mind raced with ideas, few he felt were helpful. However, Tucker changed back to archer mode, holding the arrows and looking ready to continue the fight.
"Okay, time to reload..."He said as he grabbed another arrow and fired.
"Is it wrong I almost like this Tucker more? Less likely to stare at a screen?..." Sam questioned under her breath before shaking her head. "Nah, I doubt he'd be nearly as fun... but at least he's more active..."She said.
Vlad, meanwhile, kept using his powers and trying to get the upper hand again.
"Lousy little brats! I am definitely NOT going to miss any of this!..."Vlad grumbled, as he kept trying to steal the other half of the Infi-Map and the heroes tried to keep it away from him.
All of team Phantom continued the battle. Sam fires a volley of shots forcing Vlad away from Danny, while Tucker takes aim and fires an arrow the arrowhead splits apart into a bola wrapping around Vlad, shocking the evil half-ghost.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!..."Vlad yelled as he fell towards the ground.
"Got him!..."Tucker said, looking proud of himself.
"Okay, this change is working for us..." Star said as things shift again.
Vlad is free and Tucker is back to normal.
"Why do I know how to so many archery terms?..." He asked, still dizzy.
"Dang it..."Sam said, but the heroes knew they had to keep fighting.
Danny used his powers and the others kept using their weapons on the fruiloop, determined to stop him and get the rest of the Infi-Map back. All the while, the evil halfa started to lose his patience.
"Enough! I have had enough of these games! The funny and patient Vlad is gone now!..."Vlad said in anger and annoyance.
"If that's your idea of funny and patient, I'd hate to see how you're like when you're in a bad mood. Then again...you never had much of a sense of humor or patience to begin with..."Star snarked, and the evil halfa sent her an annoyed look.
"Witty. Now time to end this once and for all..."The evil said, before he tried to fire at them, but Danny created an ecto-shield to protect them.
The dimension shifted again, and soon Team Phantom and even Vlad were all dressed like they were gladiators and used their weapons to continue the fight, deciding not to even make comments as they just wanted to defeat Vlad. More changes happened and they all suddenly looked like they were all cowboys from a western, then they were suddenly all dressed as pirates, with their surrounding areas changing to match each and every shift.
"Is it weird that we're all noticing these changes and shifts?..."Danny mentioned at one point.
"Who cares? At least now we can do this..."Star said as she used a sword and tried to fight again.
Before anyone could make a move, everyone changed back to their usual forms. Star pouted.
"Aw, I kind of liked that sword and those cute pirate boots..."Star complained.
"You can buy another pair when we get home, after this fruitloop is dealt with..."Sam said, before Danny sent a blast at Vlad and managed to hit him in the back.
Vlad started to lose his temper again.
"ENOUGH! I've had enough! Why is this still happening to me?! That accident...losing the love of my life to an idiot...being rejected by his spawn who ruined my plans and rejected being my son time and time again, his lousy friends and obnoxious girlfriend mock me...the love of my life is still in the arms of that fat idiot who betrayed me...that pesky fairy used me as a joke...I still can't buy my favorite team...and I've being reduced to being wed to that disgusting troll of a woman that is somehow Maddie's sister! How much more humiliation do I have to go through to finally find happiness!? WHEN AM I FINALLY GOING TO GET WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY MINE?!..."Vlad shouted in rage, but Team Phantom heard him.
"WAIT, WHAT?! YOU MARRIED MY AUNT?!..."Danny shouted in horror and disbelief.
Vlad gasped and realized what he accidentally let slip.
"Oh, Fudge Buckets! I can't believe I let that slip! Now what do I do?!..."The villain thought in a panic, but soon something even he didn't expect happened.
"Man, these dimensional shifts really are crazy! First Sam is suddenly a cheerleader who wears pink of all things...Star goes goth...and I was a jock and later some kind of guy really good at archery...now Vlad is somehow married to Danny's aunt Alicia and still longing for her sister?! What's next?! Dash is going to be a genius nerd and Colette's going to be a nice and helpful human being?!..."Tucker asked out loud.
"Dimensional shifts?..."Vlad thought but found salvation and thought fast.
"D-Dimensional shifts? What are you-...and who said I was married? What are you talking about? The only person I will ever love and plan to marry is Maddie and no one else..."Vlad asked, playing dumb and Danny seemed relieved.
"Oh, thank goodness! Glad to see that shift already ended! The idea of me even being remotely related to you is enough to make me want to hurl, you Fruitloop!..."Danny said, relieved that Vlad seemingly isn't his uncle, unaware of the truth.
Vlad smirked.
"So gullible..."He thought, just glad that he doesn't have to worry about THAT secret being revealed.
"Don't worry, you won't even be my son. You'll be nothing once I'm done..."Vlad said in a dark tone.
"So not happening!..."Danny said as he sent blasts at him again.
Vlad deflected them.
"This time, I'm going to make sure I know who your grandparents are...and make it that not only you are never born when they never get together, I'll make sure they never meet in the first place!..."Vlad said in a deranged way.
"YOU'RE A LUNATIC!..."Team Phantom all yelled at him, as they continued to fight their enemy.
All the while, the two pieces of the Infi-Map started to glow again and more shifts to the timeline happened yet again.
Danny and Vlad fight all around them. Instead of people, it's the time they're in that's changing. The Stone Age, Feudal Japan, the old west, the present, and than back to the sixties.
"Stop it! Can't you see that you're changing time, Plasmius?! Just hand over the map so we can give it to Frostbite so he can fix this?! Why don't you give up this crazy obsession, leave Amity Park with your cat and find some trophy wife who'll tolerate you and leave while you still can?!..."Danny shouted, as the area briefly changed into the early 19th century before changing back.
"I don't care for your drivel! I don't care if I have to burn the universe to the ground and rebuild it a new to get the destiny that was so wrongfully taken from me! I will achieve my destiny, no matter what I have to do to! Maddie will be mine and I will take my rightful place as ruler of this world, even if it means getting rid of everyone who stands in my way!..." Vlad fires a blast at Dannys friends, getting him to dive down and shield the people he cares about.
"Predictably pathetic..." Vlad sneered, but he wasn't done yet.
"At least people like me without me needing to lie to them or steal a bunch of money for them to even NOTICE me!..."Danny shouted, but his archenemy responded by scoffing.
"Do you ever stop talking?!..."Vlad said before he sent another blast and managed to hit the ghost boy.
While Danny was down, Vlad swiped his half of the map and tried to fly away but the heroes tried to stop him.
"HEY!..."Star yelled, but Vlad fired more blasts at her, forcing her to flee but nearly hitting her.
"NO!..."Danny yelled as he tried to protect her and soon realized that his half of the map was missing and in the hands of his foe.
"Again...predictably pathetic..."Vlad mocked in a smug way, as he began to merge the two pieces of the map, restoring it...and it was now in his hands yet again.
"NO!..."Team Phantom tried to stop him but it was too late.
The map was finally restored but in the worse possible hands it could be right now. With the map now restored, the evil halfa grinned as he decided to continue with his evil plan.
"Now Infi-Map...if you know what's good for you...take me to my destiny and no tricks this time. Or I will destroy you in a way you can never be restored again. Now do as I say or else!..."Vlad said with a dark way, as the now restored map glowed again.
The Infi-Map in Vlad's hand sped off, but Team Phantom refused to let it end this way.
"After him! Before we suddenly all sent back to the Dark Ages or gravity stops working!..."Danny shouted as he created 3 duplicates, carried his girlfriend and friends and soon followed Vlad into the portal before it closed.
Determined to stop that Fruitloop before it's too late.
