Hey babes! Back again with a new chapter for ya! Bit of a fun one, I think.
Enjoy!

"Oh, wow, this is exactly what I needed."
Bellamy glances over at his girlfriend and smiles. "Yeah?"
She looks at him and nods. "Absolutely. An entire week where I don't have to do anything at all…it's going to be amazing."
Bellamy chuckles. "You know, I never thought I'd see the day when you'd actually be wanting to not go to school."
Clarke shrugs. "Blame Little Bean. It's all her fault."
Bellamy gasps playfully. "It absolutely is not. She has done nothing wrong and will never do anything wrong for as long as she lives."
Clarke smiles softly with a quiet laugh. "Yeah, I had a feeling you'd be wrapped around her finger. You've probably set a record, though. She's not even born yet."
"Doesn't matter. She can do no wrong." He leans down so he's closer to Clarke's stomach, gently resting one hand on it. "Don't listen to your mom. You're an angel already, okay? Daddy loves you so much and I can't wait to meet you." He sits back up and lets out a breath as he leans back in his chair, closing his eyes and tilting his head back to soak up some more of the afternoon sun.
"Do you have any plans for Spring Break?" Clarke asks him after a moment.
Bellamy cracks his eyes open just enough to cast a sideways glance at his girlfriend. "Not really. Why?"
Clarke shrugs. "I don't know. I was just wondering. Usually, you spend some time with the guys from the team, that's all."
Bellamy shifts. "I mean…we've done that before. But I figured I could stay and keep you company when I'm not working."
Clarke smiles at him. "That is very sweet of you, but Harper already beat you to it. She has officially claimed the majority of my time this week, but has only given me a few hints of what we'll be doing."
Bellamy frowns. "That's not fair."
Clarke snorts. "Babe, you'll be fine. You're always there when I need you. Go spend some time with your friends where you're not worrying about me or Little Bean for a change."
"I'm always gonna be worrying about you two, Clarke."
Clarke nods slowly. "Okay, fair point. But try and have some fun this week, okay? We don't have that much longer before this little one is going to be demanding all of our attention," she tells him, running a hand affectionately over her belly.
Bellamy smiles at the sight and lets out a breath. "Yeah, I guess you're right."
"Of course I am." She leans up to kiss his cheek. "You need to get out and have some fun, Bellamy. Something that doesn't have anything to do with babies or pregnancy."
Bellamy sighs heavily. "Fine. I'll text Nate later and see if he wants to do something."
"Good. Oh! Are you working today?"
He shakes his head. "I'm working tomorrow afternoon, though. Even though it's Spring Break, they only gave me so many hours, said that I should still enjoy my week off from school."
"They're right," Clarke tells him. "You should one hundred percent be enjoying Spring Break."
He smiles slightly. "I promise I'll try. As long as you have some fun too."
"I'm sure I will. Harper's got a bunch of stuff planned, so I'm just hoping none of it involves being on my feet for too long."
"You know she'll be understanding if you mention something."
"No, I know. I would just feel bad if she planned all of these activities and then we couldn't do them because being on my feet for too long at a time makes me want to punch someone."
Bellamy chuckles. "Do your best to not let it come to that, okay?"
"I make zero promises."
Bellamy smiles as he presses a kiss to the top of her head as they settle back down on the couch to continue relaxing. Nothing quite beats just being able to sit together without having to do anything or worry about anyone. It's pretty great.

"So…what are we supposed to be doing, exactly?"
Bellamy shrugs. "I don't know. Clarke pretty much kicked me out during the day and told me to do something other than worry about her or the baby for once."
"Yeah, like you're ever gonna stop worrying about them."
"That's what I said!" Bellamy lets out a breath. "Is there anything you want to do?"
"I can't think of anything."
Bellamy chuckles lightly. "So much for hanging out."
"Hey, we're hanging out. We're just not doing anything."
"Which is exactly my point," Bellamy remarks. "We should be doing something. I just don't know what to do. Most of my time lately has been focused on Clarke and getting ready for the baby, and work. Sorry we haven't been hanging out more."
Nate shakes his head. "Don't worry about it, man. I know you've got more responsibilities now, I'm not holding it against you."
"Well, that's good to know." He takes a deep breath. "You're sure there's nothing you want to do?"
Nate shrugs. "I don't know. Haven't given it any thought. Is there anything you want to do?"
Bellamy lets out a breath. "I don't know. And I'm pretty sure we already went through this."
"Yeah. Guess we're not great at finding stuff to do anymore."
"Well, we're not exactly kids anymore where we can just run around the front yard shooting at each other with Super Soakers."
Nate's quiet for a moment. "Who says we can't?"
Bellamy looks over at his friend with furrowed brows. "What?"
Nate shrugs. "Who says we can't chase each other around the front yard with Super Soakers? There's no law against it, is there?"
"No."
"Okay." Nate stands from his seat and smiles. "So then let's go chase each other around with Super Soakers."
Bellamy chuckles. "You're serious, aren't you?"
"Dead serious. Come on, it'll be fun. I know you've been stressed lately. You can work some of that off."
Bellamy lets out a breath as he stands. "Alright. But you know we have to invite the others over. If Jasper and Monty find out we had a water gun fight without them, they're going to be sad, and I don't want to deal with Jasper moping for several days."
Nate laughs. "Yeah, alright. Lucky for us, I still have my stash of water guns. I'll go grab them while you let the guys know."
"Sounds good." Bellamy pulls out his phone as Nate starts to walk out of the room. "And hey," he calls after him, "set aside the good ones for us."
"You know it."
Bellamy smiles as he pulls up the group chat between him and the guys, sending a quick message to let them know about the water-gun fight. The response is almost immediate.
Monty: Dude. Yes.
Jasper: WATER GUN FIGHT! I AM SO IN!
Jasper: Wait. Do you have a water gun I can use? I can't…find mine.
Murphy: what the hell did you do?
Jasper: Um…experiment gone wrong?
Murphy: it's a miracle you're still alive
Bellamy: Yeah, Jasper, we've got water guns you can use.
Jasper: You're the best.
Bellamy: Murphy, you gonna join?
Murphy: What the hell, sure. Not like I have anything better to do.
Bellamy: Wonderful. See you all soon.

.
.
Bellamy ducks down quickly behind the trash bin on the sidewalk to avoid a stream of water aimed directly at his face. He glances down at the water gun in his hand, checking the container on top for how much ammunition he has left. There isn't much, unfortunately, but if he times things right, he just might be able to soak Murphy with the last of the water in his gun and then quickly reload it with the bucket by the side of the house.
"Get out here and face me like a man, Bellamy!"
He shakes his head at Murphy's taunt, peeking over the top of the bin just enough to find where the other boy is waiting for him. They'd made the walkway directly in front of Bellamy's house the middle point, neither team is allowed to cross over it to soak the other, but it certainly doesn't stop either team from toeing the invisible line.
Of course, there's no real end goal in mind other than trying to completely soak each other. But they're having a good time, so that's all that matters.
"You know he's just gonna keep taunting you until you do something," Nate says as he appears beside him, ducking down behind the recycling bin.
Bellamy lets out a breath. "Yeah, I know." He listens for a moment to more of Murphy's taunts, and then turns back to his best friend. "Wanna tag team him? I need to reload."
"You wanna spray him first, and then I'll cover you while you head for the side? I just reloaded so I should be good."
Bellamy nods. "Works for me." He takes a deep breath. "One…two…three!" He jumps up from his place, aiming directly for Murphy and pumping the barrel of his gun over and over, spraying the other boy in the face. "Nate, you're in!" He shouts as he quickly moves out from behind the trash bin and darts toward the side of the house, one of two designated safe spaces so they can reload their super soakers without the worry of being sprayed.
Once he reaches the side of the house, he takes a moment to catch his breath and then kneels to fill up his water gun.
Loud laughter catches his attention and he peers out around the house to see Murphy lying face down on the lawn, both Monty and Jasper doubled over in laughter. Something has clearly happened, if the smug look on Nate's face is anything to go by.
After getting his water gun filled up again, Bellamy makes his way back out to the front yard and immediately starts shooting water at Monty and Jasper. He lets out a laugh at the matching looks on their faces as they spit some of the water out of their mouths.
"Oh that's so not fair," Jasper sputters, water dripping from the ends of his hair that's sticking to his forehead. "We weren't ready."
"Too bad," Bellamy retorts. "You know the rules of a super soaker fight. There are none except for the boundary line and safe areas."
Jasper pouts. "Fine. But can I go home and change now? I think my underwear is soaked through and that's going to become very uncomfortable very soon."
Monty slowly raises a hand in the air. "Um, I think I want to change too."
Bellamy nods. "Fair enough." He glances at his other two friends. "You both want to change too?"
Nate shrugs wordlessly while Murphy just glares.
"Okay then," Bellamy says, "we'll all change into dry clothes and then meet back up for a movie or something. Sound good to everyone?"
Nate shrugs again. "Works for me."
"As long as neither of them picks the movie, I'm fine," Murphy says, pointing at Jasper and Monty.
Jasper gapes. "What? That's so rude. I have fantastic taste in movies."
"No, you don't," Murphy shoots back. He tosses his super soaker onto the grass and then pushes his shaggy hair out of his face. "I'll see you guys in a bit." He spins on his heels and then makes his way down the sidewalk in the direction of his house.
Bellamy bids quick goodbyes to his other friends and then makes his way up into his house, grateful that he'd thought to grab a towel earlier to keep on the front porch. He dries off as well as he can on the porch, knowing his mom won't appreciate him tracking huge puddles of water through the house, and then steps inside and heads for his room.
A smile is on his face the whole time as he's finding a fresh set of clothes to wear and drying off the rest of his body. Clarke was right when she told him he needed to get out and have some fun. Hanging out so carefree with his friends like that was very much long overdue. He just hopes it won't be so long before they think of doing something like that again. Even after Little Bean is born.
So? What did you think? Let me know in a review down below. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Until next time,
Jellybean96 out!
