It was the first morning of their stay at the hotel, and the early sun began to rise, casting a warm, golden light over the sprawling city of Misora. The sky, painted in soft hues of pink and orange, signaled the start of a new day. The gentle chirping of birds echoed through the air, blending harmoniously with the distant sound of waves crashing along the coast. With only four days left before they would leave Japan, the Ojamajos had a lot to do. Today marked the beginning of their final preparations before the big journey ahead.
The Ojamajos, having had a good night's rest, slowly woke from their slumber as the soft rays of sunlight peeked through the thin curtains. The quiet hum of the morning filled the room, creating a tranquil atmosphere. One by one, they began to stir, rubbing the sleep from their eyes. The air was still cool, carrying the faint scent of salt from the nearby sea.
Momoko was the first to rise, stretching her arms with a soft yawn. She glanced around the room, a small smile playing on her lips as she watched her friends slowly wake. Hazuki followed, adjusting her glasses and neatly folding her blanket before heading to the bathroom. Aiko, always the energetic one, stretched lazily before flopping back onto her pillow, earning a sleepy giggle from Doremi.
They took turns freshening up, the sound of running water and soft humming filling the room. The warm water helped wash away the last remnants of sleep, soothing their tired muscles. Each girl carefully brushed her teeth, the minty freshness awakening their senses. Their hair, tousled from a night of rest, was meticulously combed and styled into their signature looks.
The room began to feel more alive as the girls changed out of their cozy sleepwear into their regular outfits. The faint sounds of footsteps and muffled conversations echoed from the hallway outside, signaling the hotel's slow awakening. The promise of a new day hung in the air.
"Now that we finally got to start our first day, we must check everything we can before we leave in four days," said Hazuki, adjusting her glasses with a determined expression. Her emerald eyes reflected the morning light, shining with quiet resolve. "I mean, we still have time left, so let's make sure everything is in order."
Doremi nodded eagerly, her magenta eyes wide with anticipation. "So, should we check the medicines or something?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.
"Of course. We need to make sure we have any necessary medications and other supplies," replied Hazuki, her voice calm but focused.
Doremi's brow furrowed, a flicker of worry crossing her face. "But... what if we run out of stuff along the way? What if something happens?"
Hazuki's gentle smile reassured her. "Our new friends will provide us with anything we might need for the remainder of the journey. So please don't worry, Doremi. We'll be okay."
A small, relieved smile spread across Doremi's face. The warmth of Hazuki's words wrapped around her like a comforting blanket.
Just then, Momoko's phone buzzed. She glanced at the screen, her golden eyes lighting up. "I just got a call from the kitchen. They say that room service is going to deliver us a special breakfast!"
The girls' eyes sparkled with excitement.
"This is going to be tasty!" Aiko cheered, clenching her fists with enthusiasm.
"We'll just have to wait and see what they offer," Onpu added, crossing her arms gracefully, a small smile tugging at her lips.
While waiting for the room service, Momoko stepped out onto the small patio attached to their room. Her camera dangled from her neck, glinting in the sunlight. The warm breeze of Misora's coast brushed against her golden hair as she gazed out at the shimmering blue waters stretching into the horizon.
Momoko's heart swelled at the sight. The view was breathtaking — a perfect blend of endless sky and glistening sea. She brought the camera up to her eye, capturing the beauty in a single click.
"Momoko, you're going to be the best photographer in the world," she whispered to herself with a soft smile. "I just need to relax... and capture these beautiful moments."
She settled into a cushioned chair, unscrewed the lid of her thermos, and poured herself a small cup of warm tea. The fragrant steam curled into the morning air. With a contented sigh, she took a delicate sip, letting the gentle warmth fill her chest.
"Ahhh! Refreshing!" Momoko giggled softly, closing her eyes as the sunlight bathed her face.
Suddenly, Hana's cheerful voice called out from inside. "Momoko! The room service is coming!"
"I'm coming!" Momoko replied in English, quickly snapping one last photo before heading back inside.
As she rejoined the group, two room service attendants entered the room, pushing a polished cart laden with breakfast dishes. The rich aroma of freshly baked bread, ripe citrus, and warm pastries filled the air, making everyone's stomachs rumble.
The attendants carefully arranged the dishes on the table with practiced grace.
"It looks delicious..." murmured Pop, her eyes wide with wonder. "What is this?"
One of the attendants smiled warmly. "Here is the croissant served with cheese, olives, tomatoes, ham, and cream cheese. For drinks, you have milk and fresh orange juice. Bon appétit!"
With a polite bow, the attendants left the room, leaving the girls to marvel at the feast before them.
"Let's take a photo!" Doremi suggested, pulling out her Sekai Touch Call. The others eagerly followed suit, snapping pictures from different angles. The cheerful sound of camera shutters filled the room as they uploaded their snapshots to social media with playful captions.
Finally, they clasped their hands together.
"Itadakimasu!" the Ojamajos chorused in perfect harmony, their voices bright and full of excitement.
As they dug into the delicious breakfast, the sunlight spilled across the table, filling the room with warmth. The start of their adventure had begun — a journey full of friendship, memories, and the promise of magical new experiences waiting just beyond the horizon.
Meanwhile, back at the Maho-Do, the morning hustle was in full swing. The cafeteria buzzed with life as Kanae, Susumu, Takeshi, Kazuya, and Aya busily served breakfast to their fellow friends. Plates clinked rhythmically against the countertops, the sweet aroma of freshly made pancakes mixed with the bitter scent of coffee filling the air. The soft murmur of conversations and occasional bursts of laughter created a warm, bustling atmosphere.
Kanae expertly balanced two trays of hot drinks and pastries, weaving through the tables with practiced ease. Susumu wiped down counters while Takeshi refilled the juice dispensers. Kazuya stacked clean plates, and Aya arranged fresh fruit bowls with precision, occasionally sneaking glances at the clock.
Suddenly, the familiar ding! of a notification broke through the morning buzz. Almost as if rehearsed, the five friends simultaneously reached into their pockets, their eyes widening as they unlocked their phones.
"Look! Our friends just posted a picture of their breakfast at the hotel they're staying at!" Kanae exclaimed, holding up her phone for the others to see. The screen displayed a perfectly arranged breakfast platter—scrambled eggs, toast, fresh fruit, and glasses of orange juice—with the caption: First day at the hotel! Enjoying them right now!
Kazuya's brows furrowed slightly, a tinge of longing in his voice. "They look like they're having a great time..."
Susumu's expression hardened, determination sparking in his eyes. "We must inform Shimakura about this right away!"
The five friends exchanged knowing glances, their mission clear. Without wasting another second, they discreetly stepped into a quiet corner, shielding themselves from prying eyes. One by one, they took out their Taps from their pockets, the small devices shimmering with magical energy. They then tap their Taps to change.
"Pretty Witch Kanae-cchi!"
"Pretty Wizard Susumu-cchi!"
"Pretty Wizard Takeshi-cchi!"
"Pretty Wizard Kazuya-cchi!"
"Pretty Witch Aya-cchi!"
With a swirl of glittering lights and sparkling hues, their everyday uniforms transformed into dazzling apprentice outfits. Flowing outfits, pointed hats, and shining Pollons completed the look. They stood together, their determined expressions reflecting in each other's eyes.
"Quick, to the control room!" Aya commanded, pointing toward the hallway.
Without another word, they slipped out of the cafeteria and raced down the corridor. The sound of their hurried footsteps echoed through the halls.
In the control room, Shimakura, Tamaki, and Erika huddled around a large holographic screen, its surface displaying a detailed map. Blinking dots indicated the Ojamajos' current location, the group still stationed at their hotel.
Tamaki flipped her hair with a smug grin. "We are still the richest and smartest girls. No one can underestimate our wealth... not even Doremi and her pesky friends."
Erika giggled, tapping away at her tablet. "Pop, I'd be surprised if the treasures they bring back from their journey were actual luxuries. Knowing them, it'll probably be something... ordinary."
Shimakura adjusted her glasses, her sharp gaze locked on the screen. "Let's not forget... Doremi and her friends did help you and your sister once."
Tamaki's smirk widened. "Like, that was totally a one-time thing. They don't even own luxuries in their lifetime."
Before Shimakura could respond, the control room door burst open.
"SHIMAKURA!" Kazuya's voice echoed through the room, breathless but urgent.
Shimakura swiveled her chair calmly, adjusting her glasses once more. "Yes? What is it?"
Susumu stepped forward, holding up his phone. "Doremi, her sister, and their friends just posted a photo of their breakfast! The post reads: First day at the hotel! Enjoying them right now!"
Tamaki's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Let's give them some likes..."
"...and replies!" Erika added, already typing furiously on her screen.
Shimakura sighed, ever the composed leader. "I'll download the image and add it to the observation presentation. If you see any other photos or videos that look interesting, report them to me immediately. However... next time, do not interrupt our discussion unless it's urgent. Understood?"
Kanae, Susumu, Takeshi, Kazuya, and Aya exchanged sheepish glances before nodding in unison. "Understood."
"Good. Now return to your duties." Shimakura turned back to the screen, her fingers gliding over the keyboard.
Without another word, the five magical friends de-transformed in a flurry of sparkles and hurried back to the cafeteria. They resumed their breakfast service as if nothing had happened, slipping seamlessly back into their roles among the bustling crowd.
Tamaki leaned back in her chair, arms crossed with an air of superiority. "So, where was I? Oh yes... no one will ever outshine us."
Erika smirked. "Especially not those girls."
Shimakura glanced at the screen, the tiny blinking dots reflecting in her glasses. A small, knowing smile played at her lips—one that suggested she knew far more than she let on.
For now.
Back at the hotel, the girls had finished their breakfast and called room service to let them know they were done with their meal.
"Hi, we've finished our breakfast. Could you please pick up the dishes? Thanks," said Momoko, her polite tone shining through as she held the phone to her ear.
Momoko's gentle manners never failed to impress the others, and she placed the receiver down with a satisfied smile.
"Now, shall we start researching our plans and how to stay safe and respectful?" asked Hazuki, adjusting her glasses as she pulled out her Sekai Touch Tablet. Her delicate fingers tapped on the screen, opening a collection of bookmarked travel sites and articles.
"Yup!" replied Doremi, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Let's get to work!"
Just then, the Ojamajos heard a series of notification dings echoing through the room. They quickly checked their Sekai Touch Calls, curiosity piqued.
"Hold on..." said Doremi, swiping across the screen. "Look! We got tons of replies!"
Their earlier breakfast post had received numerous likes and comments. The girls crowded around, giggling as they read through some of them:
*The first reply (from Kazuya) read: "≧ڡ≦"
*The second reply (from Takeshi) said: "My mom can make this even better than the hotel's."
*The third reply (from Susumu) said: "Ah, oui! The good old croissants :)"
*The fourth reply (from Kanae) read: "Croissant sandwich, my fave!"
*The last reply (from Aya) said: "Croissants are good with sashimi too. Otherwise, this meal looks great!"
The Ojamajos giggled and gave each reply a like, feeling a warm sense of connection to their friends back home.
"Everyone's cheering us on..." Hazuki said softly, her heart swelling with gratitude.
"Alright, back to work!" Doremi declared, pumping her fists. "We need to make sure we're ready for anything."
The girls gathered around the Sekai Touch Tablet, spreading out various travel brochures and notebooks on the coffee table. Each of them took on a specific task, determined to make their adventure as smooth and enriching as possible.
Doremi took the lead, ensuring their research was thorough, jotting down key points and making checklists with colorful pens. Hazuki read international news articles to stay updated on current events, occasionally sharing headlines that could affect their travels. Aiko browsed through websites showcasing unique souvenirs and crafts they could bring home for their friends and family. Onpu delved into customs and etiquette, making notes on polite greetings, gestures, and common cultural taboos. Momoko, with her bilingual skills, practiced phrases in various languages and made flashcards to help the others. Hana, her eyes wide with curiosity, flipped through colorful ebooks about different countries' traditions and celebrations. Pop studied atlases and maps, carefully pinpointing the locations of important artifacts and landmarks they might visit.
The room buzzed with focused energy as the girls worked together, their bond growing stronger with every bit of knowledge they uncovered. Even as they planned their journey, they couldn't help but feel the excitement bubbling beneath the surface.
After two hours of focused work, the Ojamajos had gathered all the information they needed to ensure their world adventure would be a success. The sun was high, casting warm rays through the large window, making the sparkling pool outside all the more inviting.
"Now that everything is done, shall we go to the pool?" Pop asked eagerly, her eyes lighting up at the thought of cooling off.
Everyone nodded in agreement. They quickly grabbed their towels, swimsuits, and sunscreen before heading off to the pool area.
In the changing room, after they had finished changing, they began discussing the activities they could enjoy during their journey.
"Hey, Doremi! What kind of things can we do while we search for the artifacts and meet new friends?" Onpu asked, brushing her hair.
"Maybe we could visit World Heritage Sites! We can learn about their history and take lots of pictures," suggested Doremi, her eyes sparkling at the thought of seeing famous landmarks.
"That sounds like a great idea," Onpu agreed. "Anything else?"
"Trying out new foods! I heard that the food in other countries is really delicious!" Doremi added enthusiastically.
"How about some fun activities like visiting theme parks or watching cultural events? That would be even better!" Aiko chimed in, her mind already imagining the thrill of roller coasters.
"Why not do everything?" Onpu suggested with a smile. "What do you all think?"
"Yes!" Doremi and the others cheered in unison. "Now that's what we wanted!"
"Shall we swim now?" Onpu asked, adjusting her swim cap.
Everyone nodded excitedly.
"Let's go swimming!" Aiko exclaimed. "We're going to have fun getting soaked!"
They made their way to the pool, their eyes widening at the sight of the enormous, crystal-clear water. The pool was empty, with only the gentle sound of water rippling under the bright sunlight. A sign nearby indicated that there was no lifeguard on duty, reminding them to swim with caution.
Aiko's eyes sparkled when she spotted an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Without hesitation, she dove in and began doing breaststrokes, much to the cheers of her friends.
"Well, look at that! Now this is what I'm talking about!" Momoko said in English, clapping her hands.
"Come on, Aiko! You can do it!" Hazuki shouted, cupping her hands around her mouth.
Aiko reached the far end of the pool, then turned back, swimming gracefully toward the other side. When she finally climbed out of the water, her friends gathered around, lifting her up in celebration.
Afterward, they explored the other pools. Hazuki and Onpu played beach volleyball while floating in the shallow pool, laughing as they splashed each other. Hana and Pop giggled as they took turns sliding down the water slide, their delighted squeals echoing through the air. Aiko and Momoko challenged each other to diving contests, their splashes sending ripples across the water.
Meanwhile, Doremi found herself relaxing in the hot springs, letting the warm water soothe her muscles. Her mind wandered to the exciting adventures ahead, imagining the places they would visit and the friends they would make.
Later, all seven of them gathered in the main pool, splashing and playing together. Laughter filled the air as they chased each other around, enjoying every moment.
When they finally tired out, they lounged on the poolside benches, sipping cool drinks under the shade of a large umbrella.
"Doremi, today was so much fun," Hazuki said, glancing at the empty lifeguard chair. "Even though there was no lifeguard, we were careful and followed the rules."
"Yeah. It's really important to stay safe while having fun," Doremi replied with a smile.
"We also know what to do if someone gets into trouble in the water," Pop added proudly.
"That's right, Pop! You're so smart," Doremi said, giving her sister an encouraging pat on the head.
"The best part was how refreshing the pool felt after all that hard work," Momoko said, stretching her arms.
"And the music playing in the background made everything even better," Onpu added, swaying lightly to the beat of a nearby speaker.
"Hana-chan feels so relaxed after all that hard work!" Hana chimed in, sipping her lemonade through a straw.
"Shall we head back to our room and then go out to see the park and the coastline?" Hazuki suggested, gazing at the horizon where the sun was beginning to dip.
"Sounds good to me!" Doremi agreed, her heart fluttering with excitement for the adventures to come.
With their spirits high, the Ojamajos returned to the changing rooms, slipping back into their regular clothes. As they walked through the park, they watched people playing with their pets, jogging, and cycling along the scenic coastline. The soft breeze carried the scent of blooming flowers, hinting at the promise of new memories waiting to be made on their journey.
Eventually, they reached a hill overlooking the town, where the entire expanse of Misora stretched out before them. The rooftops shimmered under the afternoon sunlight, and the distant sea sparkled along the horizon. A gentle breeze carried the scents of blooming flowers and salty air, making the spot feel like a hidden sanctuary above the bustling town below. It was there that they realized this would be the perfect place to begin their upcoming adventure — a starting point where both memories and dreams could intertwine.
Feeling their stomachs grumble, they agreed to grab lunch before making any plans. Craving sushi, they walked down to a small family-owned restaurant tucked along a quiet street. The air inside was warm and inviting, filled with the mouthwatering aroma of fresh fish and steaming rice. They ordered assorted sushi sets, each one carefully packed into bento boxes, then carried their meals back to the hilltop where they settled down on a soft patch of grass.
"Itadakimasu!" they chorused, clapping their hands together before opening their boxes.
As they enjoyed their meal, the conversation naturally shifted to the significance of their chosen spot.
"Since the park is usually empty and the hill gives us a great view of Misora, it's the perfect place for us to take off in just four days," Doremi said, her eyes gleaming with anticipation. "We chose it because we want our hometown to see us off, and we want to show the world that we're coming!"
Hazuki adjusted her glasses, nodding thoughtfully. "It feels symbolic... like we're soaring from where everything began."
"So, how exactly are we going to depart?" Aiko asked, popping a piece of tuna sushi into her mouth.
"In the early morning, when we see shooting stars," Doremi explained. "We'll leave in the order of our colors. If a pink star appears first, I'll go first. If Hazuki sees an orange one, she'll go next. If you see a blue one, Aiko, you'll follow — and so on."
"So the shooting stars will be like our takeoff signal?" Aiko confirmed, a spark of excitement in her voice.
Doremi nodded, pointing up at the partly cloudy sky. The others followed her gaze, their imaginations running wild. For a moment, they could almost see the streaks of light cutting through the dawn sky, their silhouettes lifting off into the unknown.
They continued eating in peaceful silence, occasionally sipping tea from their thermoses. Above them, airplanes traced white lines across the blue expanse, and helicopters hummed faintly in the distance — gentle reminders of the journeys that awaited them.
Once lunch was finished, they tidied up, carefully sorting their trash into the garbage and recycling bins. With their bellies full, they made their way down to the coastline, where the rhythmic crash of waves filled the air. The sea stretched endlessly before them, its surface glittering beneath the sunlight.
"I remember walking home from school every day," Doremi mused, gazing out at the water. "Majorika used to blow bubbles to call us together. Good times."
"Yeah! And I remember when you and Hazuki hugged me so hard I could barely breathe!" Aiko exclaimed, laughing at the memory.
Doremi and Hazuki exchanged mischievous grins before wrapping Aiko in another playful hug.
"Oh no! Not again!" Aiko cried, wriggling in their embrace as Onpu, Momoko, and Pop burst into laughter.
They strolled along the pedestrian path by the shore, watching cyclists whiz by and joggers pacing themselves along the route. The salty breeze tousled their hair, carrying with it the distant cries of seagulls.
"Moments like these remind me of the time when I was in Long Beach with my parents," Momoko said softly. "Despite being a baker, I was a champion surfer, believe it or not."
"Really?" Pop's eyes widened in surprise.
Momoko smiled. "It's not surfing season right now — that doesn't start until summer. But just watching the waves always makes me feel at my home country."
Suddenly, Onpu's Sekai Touch Call rang, breaking the tranquil atmosphere. She pulled out the sleek device and answered.
"Hello?" Onpu said, her voice calm and composed. "Wait, so you're telling me you're going to prepare a special dinner for us at the restaurant? And everyone's going to see us?"
The others glanced at her curiously.
"Okay. Can you tell me what time it is? 8 PM? Got it. I'll see you there."
"What happened?" Pop asked as Onpu hung up.
"The head chef just called," Onpu replied. "He said the chefs are preparing a special dinner for us, and we need to be there by 8 SHARP."
"Does that mean we have to dress up casually?" Hana asked, tilting her head.
"Exactly!" Onpu confirmed. "Get our Taps ready because we're going to change before heading off to the hotel's restaurant."
Excited chatter broke out among the group as they hurried back toward town. The journey ahead of them felt closer than ever — and tonight, they would celebrate not only their past but the bright future waiting just beyond the horizon.
The girls returned to their hotel room and grabbed the Magical Luggage to retrieve their transformation devices. Doremi and Pop took out their Apprentice Taps, Hazuki and Aiko grabbed their Rhythm Taps, Momoko retrieved her Parara Tap, Onpu picked up her Cologne Tap, and Hana held onto her own Compact.
One by one, Doremi, Hazuki, Aiko, Onpu, Momoko, Pop, and Hana transformed into their chosen apprentice uniforms. Doremi and Pop donned their original apprentice outfits, Hazuki changed into her Sharp uniform, and Aiko transformed into her Royal Patraine uniform, now accessible without the Queen's magic. Momoko wore her Motto uniform, while Onpu opted for her Dokkan attire. As for Hana, she remained in her own special uniform.
"Pretty Witch Doremi-cchi!"
"Pretty Witch Hazuki-cchi!"
"Pretty Witch Aiko-cchi!"
"Pretty Witch Onpu-cchi!"
"Pretty Witch Momo-kocchi!"
"Pretty Witch Hana-chan-cchi!"
"Pretty Witch Pop-cchi!"
The girls exited their rooms and made their way to the lobby, still receiving cheers from the onlookers as they passed by. They walk pass through the mall section of the hotel (which is a huge one). Soon, they arrived at the front of the beautifully decorated restaurant, where live musicians played in the background and the clinking of dishes filled the air.
"This is it—tonight is going to be very special for us," Onpu said with a smile. "Expect an unforgettable performance and an amazing menu."
"Good evening, young ladies. I assume you're here because the head chef sent you?" the host asked.
"Yes! He mentioned he's preparing a special dinner just for us," Onpu replied eagerly.
"Please, follow me," the host said, guiding the girls to their seats.
The girls wondered through the restaurant and see a lot of people enjoying their meals.
"Here is your seat. I will be your host for tonight," said the host as he handed out the menus. "This is your special menu."
The girls looked over the menus, which showcased dishes from each of the seven continents: jollof rice (representing Africa), hamburgers and fries (representing North America), bún thịt nướng (representing Asia), empanadas (representing South America), 'otai for drinks (representing Oceania), and a crepe for dessert (representing Europe). Each dish was carefully selected to give the girls a taste of the diverse flavors they might encounter on their journey.
"So, these are the dishes we're going to enjoy?" asked Doremi, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
"Yes," replied the host with a warm smile. "The chefs selected these dishes knowing you're about to embark on a world tour. We hope this small taste of the world will inspire you for the adventures ahead. Bon appétit!"
With a polite bow, the host left the girls to enjoy their meal. As the girls examined the menu, their excitement grew. The thought of trying new foods from around the world made them even more eager for their upcoming journey.
"Apart from keeping the artifacts, is there anything else we can do afterwards? Like inviting our new friends to Japan, or something else?" Doremi wondered aloud, tapping her chin.
"Inviting friends sounds fun, but what if we did something even bigger?" Aiko suggested. "There are about 194 countries, right? What if we doubled the size of the Maho-Do to make room for everyone?"
"Or better yet, we could turn it into the world HQ of Maho-Do!" Onpu chimed in, her purple eyes shining with enthusiasm. "That way, our friends could visit Japan without needing to travel long distances. They could just open a door to the Witch World, and it would lead straight to the HQ in Misora!"
Hazuki adjusted her glasses thoughtfully. "That sounds like a wonderful idea, but we'd definitely need Majorika's permission first. This is her store, after all. I don't think she'd be very happy if we made changes without asking her."
"We'll discuss it with Majorika once we finish our tour," Momoko said, ever the voice of reason. "But for now, we should focus on the journey ahead. There's still so much to see."
"Hana-chan would love to show our friends what Japan is like!" Hana added excitedly, clapping her hands. "It would be so much fun!"
Just then, Pop's eyes lit up as waiters approached with the first course. "Here comes our first menu item!" she exclaimed, practically bouncing in her seat.
The waiters carefully placed steaming plates of jollof rice in front of each girl. The fragrant aroma of tomatoes, peppers, and spices filled the air, making everyone's mouths water. The vibrant red hue of the rice, garnished with colorful vegetables, made each plate look like a small masterpiece.
"Wow... it smells amazing!" Doremi said, her stomach growling.
The girls eagerly took their first bites, savoring the rich, savory flavors. This was their first time trying something from Africa, and they couldn't help but share their thoughts.
"Mmm... it's so flavorful!" Aiko said between bites. "I've heard jollof rice is really popular, but I didn't know there were different versions."
"I've read that there's a big debate about which country makes the best jollof rice," Hazuki added. "Some people take it very seriously. Maybe that's why the chefs combined different recipes into one dish."
"Well, whoever made this, they did a great job!" Onpu said with a smile. "I wouldn't mind having this again."
As the girls enjoyed their meal, the host returned to check on them.
"Is everything fine? How is the jollof?" the host asked politely.
"It's delicious! We enjoyed it a lot," the girls replied in unison, their smiles showing just how much they appreciated the dish.
The host beamed. "I'm glad to hear that. There's still much more to come, so please enjoy your journey through these flavors of the world."
The girls exchanged excited glances, ready to discover what other delicious surprises awaited them on this culinary adventure.
"Okay. The second dish is coming," said the host with a warm smile as he left the girls to anticipate the next course.
The Ojamajos glanced at each other, their curiosity piqued.
"I can already smell something delicious!" Doremi exclaimed, her nose twitching. "It smells like... hamburgers and fries! And it reminds me of the smell of steak too!"
"Same here!" Pop agreed, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "I can't wait to dig in!"
Soon, the waiters arrived, carefully placing plates of juicy hamburgers and crispy golden fries in front of each girl. Without hesitation, they began to eat, savoring the familiar, comforting taste of the dish. The flavorful aroma instantly transported Momoko back to her time in New York City.
"This takes me back..." Momoko said softly, holding the burger in her hands. "I used to eat burgers like this when I lived in NYC."
"Really? What was it like there?" asked Aiko, her mouth half-full.
"Busy, but full of life. And the food... oh, there were so many flavors!" Momoko smiled nostalgically. "But the next dish is something I tried while I was in LA. You'll see when it's brought out."
Suddenly, Hana stood up, tugging at her dress. "Excuse me, Hana-chan needs to go to the bathroom. Please tell the waiters if they come while I'm gone."
"Okay. Take your time," said Onpu with a gentle smile.
As Hana left, the girls continued their meal, their conversation shifting to what kinds of Ojamajo and Ojamahotsukai they might meet in different countries during their journey.
"I wonder if there are witches in every country who do magic like us," mused Hazuki, wiping her mouth with a napkin.
"Maybe we'll meet one who controls the weather!" suggested Aiko with a grin.
"Or one who can talk to animals!" added Doremi, her eyes wide with imagination.
Their lively discussion was interrupted by the waiters returning with the third dish — bowls of bún thịt nướng, a Vietnamese dish with grilled pork, vermicelli noodles, fresh herbs, and crunchy peanuts. The fragrant scent filled the air, making their mouths water.
"Wow... what is this?" Doremi asked, leaning forward.
"Bún thịt nướng!" Momoko explained, her eyes lighting up. "I tried this while I was in LA. It's Vietnamese. You mix everything together and eat it with fish sauce. It's so refreshing!"
The girls eagerly followed Momoko's lead, mixing their bowls and taking their first bites. The combination of flavors — savory, tangy, and fragrant — delighted their palates.
Hana returned from the bathroom just as the girls were finishing their bowls. "What is this?" she asked, climbing back into her seat.
"It's bún thịt nướng, Hana-chan!" said Doremi. "It's really delicious! Here, try some."
Hana took a small bite and her eyes widened. "Yummy! Hana-chan likes it!"
Once the plates were cleared, the host returned with a cheerful announcement. "Since you've finished the main courses, we will bring your drinks and desserts shortly. Please wait as our chefs are preparing them. Thank you."
As they waited, the girls chatted about their Sekai Passports, speculating if they could get stamps in their regular passports during their travels.
"Wouldn't it be cool if our Sekai Passports could add stamps from magical places too?" Onpu wondered aloud.
"Yeah! Like if we helped another witch, we'd get a special magic stamp!" Doremi's eyes sparkled at the thought.
Before they could continue their fantasies, Hazuki noticed the waiters returning with their drinks and desserts — otai, a sweet Polynesian drink made from coconut and fruit, alongside delicate crepes drizzled with chocolate and fresh fruit.
"Looks like our drinks and dessert are here!" Hazuki announced with a smile.
The girls eagerly dug into their treats, the sweetness of the otai perfectly complementing the light, fluffy crepes. As they enjoyed their final course, they talked about how they could spend the rest of their stay — maybe helping the lifeguard at the beach or serving dinner to other guests — until their booking at the resort came to an end.
The evening continued with laughter, stories, and dreams of the magical adventures that awaited them across the world.
The host approached the girls with a warm smile, his hands clasped together politely.
"Since you are special guests, you will not be billed," the host announced kindly. "Your friends have already covered the cost."
The Ojamajos' eyes widened in surprise, their faces lighting up with gratitude.
"Oh wow, really? Thank you so much!" said Doremi, bowing slightly.
"Please extend our thanks to our friends as well," added Hazuki with a polite smile.
"It was our pleasure to serve you tonight. Have a good night!" the host replied with a small bow.
"You too!" the girls responded in cheerful unison.
The Ojamajos left the hotel's restaurant, stepping into the grand mall section that was attached to the hotel. The bright lights reflected off the polished marble floors, casting a soft glow over the luxury storefronts lining the wide walkways. Various shops displayed high-end fashion, gadgets, and souvenirs from different countries. The faint sound of soft instrumental music played in the background, giving the entire space an elegant ambiance.
As they walked back to their hotel room, the girls couldn't help but chat about the delicious dinner they had just enjoyed.
"Oh, that meal was so darn good!" said Doremi, her eyes sparkling. "I might try different foods from now on as we travel!"
"The chả giò in the bún thịt nướng is a banger!" Pop beamed, talking excitedly with her older sister. "I never thought I'd love Vietnamese food so much!"
"I'm glad you sisters enjoyed it," said Momoko, brushing her blonde hair behind her ear. "Vietnamese cuisine has so many delicious dishes."
"The jollof rice was heaven and hell mixed together because of the flavors — spicy but sooo good!" said Aiko, rubbing her stomach. "I wanna try more African dishes next time."
"The otai was refreshing and sweet," Hazuki chimed in softly. "Maybe we can explore Tonga someday and try different variations. I've heard there are so many kinds."
Onpu twirled a strand of her lavender hair between her fingers. "Those luxury crepes... I've had sweets before, but these were on another level. So gourmet, I feel like a movie star."
"Hana-chan likes hamburgers and fries a lot!" said Hana, grinning brightly. "But this was not like any burger place we used to go to! It tasted so special!"
Pop's eyes wandered across the dazzling storefronts as they passed by, an idea suddenly sparking in her mind.
"Hey! Should we go shopping in the mall section tomorrow? There's so much cool stuff here — we can buy gifts for our new friends!"
Doremi's eyes lit up. "That's a great idea! But for now, let's relax and get some sleep. We've got another exciting day ahead."
The girls nodded in agreement as they reached their hotel room. Once inside, they changed into their cozy pajamas, switching on the TV to watch some dramas and anime together. The soft glow of the screen filled the room as laughter and chatter filled the air. Afterward, they each took turns showering, brushing their teeth, and settling into their beds. The warm blankets wrapped around them, carrying them off into dreams of faraway places and the adventures that awaited them tomorrow.
The next day — the second day of their stay — the girls woke up early as sunlight streamed through the curtains of their hotel room. They stretched and began their usual morning routines, brushing their teeth, washing their faces, and tidying up before heading out.
Once they were ready, the Ojamajos decided to start the day by heading to the hotel's breakfast buffet. The tantalizing aroma of freshly cooked food filled the air as they walked into the spacious dining hall. The glass windows offered a stunning view of the blue sky shining over the shores of Misora, with the gentle waves shimmering under the morning sun.
As they filled their plates with a variety of delicious food — from rice, miso soup, and tamagoyaki to pastries and fruit — they sat together at a table by the window. The lively atmosphere of the buffet added to the excitement of the day ahead.
While eating, the girls started chatting about their plans for the day.
"So, Pop..." Doremi began, looking at her little sister with a curious smile. "You mentioned yesterday that we should go shopping?"
Pop nodded confidently. "Yes! I thought it would be a good idea. We need to give our new friends something special from our country as gifts. Most of the stores in the hotel's mall section sell authentic souvenirs from all over Japan — handmade by local artisans. It's the perfect chance to share a piece of Japan with our friends."
Hazuki adjusted her glasses, her eyes sparkling at the thought. "That's a wonderful idea! Giving gifts to our friends and receiving theirs in return is such an important part of connecting with people from different countries. It would make our memories of this trip even more special."
"I will buy every Japanese item I can!" Aiko declared with a grin, crossing her arms confidently. "I want to show them how amazing Japan is!"
Momoko clapped her hands together with excitement. "There are so many things we can choose from — yukatas, kokeshi dolls, fans, bonsai trees, and the maneki-neko. Oh! Maybe I'll buy some candy for Beth... I know she has a sweet tooth. She would love to try Japanese sweets!"
Onpu rested her chin on her hand, her violet eyes thoughtful. "I wonder what kind of gifts our friends will give us... It's always exciting to see how different countries express their culture through presents."
Hana beamed, her golden hair bouncing as she spoke. "We do have plenty of money saved up! Let's buy something really nice for everyone! Shall we go?"
Everyone nodded eagerly, their excitement growing. After finishing their breakfast, they left the dining hall and made their way to the hotel's huge mall section, ready to begin their shopping spree and find the perfect gifts for their friends from around the world.
The Ojamajos wandered through the bright, bustling shops, their eyes wide with wonder at the variety of items on display. The mall was filled with vibrant stalls and stores, each offering a glimpse into Japan's rich cultural heritage. The air buzzed with cheerful chatter and soft music, adding to the lively atmosphere.
They carefully explored each store, admiring the handcrafted trinkets, delicate ceramics, and vibrant fabrics. Pop was especially drawn to a display of adorable stuffed animals dressed in traditional Japanese attire, hugging a small fox plushie wearing a miniature kimono. Hazuki examined a set of finely crafted calligraphy brushes and ink sets, imagining how peaceful it would be to practice writing haiku with them.
Momoko eagerly picked out an assortment of wagashi — colorful, sweet confections made from mochi and red bean paste — imagining how delighted Beth would be to receive them. Onpu found herself captivated by the elegant music boxes that played soothing traditional melodies, thinking they would make lovely keepsakes for their friends.
Hana giggled as she hugged a plush maneki-neko, insisting that it would bring good luck to their new friends. She also tugged at Doremi's sleeve, pointing excitedly at a display of tiny ceramic daruma dolls, each painted with cheerful expressions.
Doremi, ever the lively one, couldn't resist browsing through the shelves of anime DVDs and video games, thinking they would be the perfect gifts for their friends who loved Japanese pop culture. "Maybe I should get something magical too... like a wand or a charm!" she mused, holding up a sparkly keychain shaped like a star.
Aiko, on the other hand, had her arms full of practical yet iconic items — folding fans, chopstick sets, and packs of instant miso soup. "You can't forget the good stuff! People love things they can actually use!" she said with a wink.
They also picked out beautiful yukatas with matching obi belts, delicate folding fans adorned with intricate patterns, and small ukiyo-e paintings that depicted scenes of Japan's natural beauty. Each girl made sure to select items that reflected both their own personalities and the unique traditions of their country.
By the time they had finished their shopping, their arms were filled with bags of carefully chosen gifts, each item reflecting a little piece of Japan. The Ojamajos couldn't wait to see the smiles on their friends' faces when they exchanged presents, knowing that these thoughtful gifts would strengthen the bonds of friendship they had formed during their journey.
After their shopping spree, they decided to head to the food court to eat ramen noodles. The warm aroma of broth and spices filled the air as they found a cozy table to sit at. They happily slurped their noodles, chatting about the different gifts they had chosen and imagining their friends' reactions. The laughter and warmth they shared made the moment even more special — a perfect blend of friendship, culture, and unforgettable memories.
As they finished their meals, they began discussing what they would do next. They all agreed that a little exercise would be the perfect way to unwind after their shopping adventure. The idea of jogging around Misora sounded refreshing, and they eagerly decided to explore the familiar streets of their hometown.
Before heading out, they returned to their hotel room to store their purchases safely in the Magical Luggage. Each Ojamajo carefully placed one Japanese item per friend — whether it was a delicate piece of handmade pottery, a small charm, or a traditional snack — ensuring that every gift would carry a special memory of their journey.
With everything securely stored, they laced up their sneakers and stepped out into the crisp evening air. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm glow over Misora. They jogged together through the quiet streets, laughing and pointing out nostalgic sights from the good old days. The rhythmic sound of their footsteps echoed along the pavement, and for a while, it felt like they were reliving the carefree days of their magical adventures.
Their journey had brought them closer than ever, and with each step, they knew that their friendship would continue to bloom — no matter where their paths might lead them next.
They decide to head to a sports bar for dinner and while at the sports bar, everyone watched a baseball game on TV. It is the Yomiuri Giants playing against Hanshin Tigers. The Ojamajos decides to cheer on both teams (with Doremi, Momoko, Hana and Pop cheering on the Giants while Hazuki, Aiko and Onpu cheer on the Tigers) watching it live on TV and eating chicken strips, wings and breasts.
After a long day of sightseeing, the Ojamajos decided to unwind and indulge in a well-deserved dinner at a lively sports bar. The moment they stepped inside, the atmosphere enveloped them—a whirl of excitement and energy, the kind that could only be found in a place where fans gathered to celebrate their love for sports. The sounds of laughter, cheers, and clinking glasses filled the air, while the occasional shout of excitement echoed from every corner. Large TV screens lined the walls, each one showing a different live match from around the world, but it was the heated baseball game that immediately captured everyone's attention.
On the screens, the orange-and-black colors of the Yomiuri Giants flashed with intensity as they faced off against their fierce rivals, the Hanshin Tigers. This wasn't just any game—it was one of Japan's biggest and most passionate rivalries. The energy in the bar seemed to intensify with every play, as fans in yellow jerseys waved towels, chanting and cheering for the Tigers. The Ojamajos could feel the buzz of anticipation in the air, and it wasn't long before they too found themselves drawn into the electric atmosphere.
"Oh wow! It's the Giants!" Doremi's eyes sparkled with excitement as she clapped her hands. "I know they're one of the best teams in Tokyo! They've got such a legacy!"
"The Hanshin Tigers are super popular too, especially in Osaka," Aiko chimed in, crossing her arms with a confident grin. "Their fans are notorious for being rowdy—this game is gonna be wild!" She leaned forward, clearly relishing the competitive energy.
"Why don't we cheer for both?" suggested Hazuki, ever the peacemaker, as she gently nudged her friends with a smile. "That way, we can all have a good time."
It was a perfect compromise. The Ojamajos agreed to split their support. Doremi, Momoko, Hana, and Pop immediately threw their support behind the Giants, waving their imaginary flags as they cheered on their favorite team. Meanwhile, Hazuki, Aiko, and Onpu backed the Tigers, ready to celebrate every strike and home run for their team. The sense of camaraderie in the group only made the atmosphere feel warmer.
As they settled into their seats, they ordered plates of crispy chicken strips, sizzling wings, and golden chicken breasts. The delightful aroma of savory spices and frying food filled the air, making everyone's stomachs growl in anticipation. The food arrived steaming hot, and the girls eagerly dug in, their chopsticks clicking against their plates as they passed around sauces and side dishes. The bar's vibrant energy blended perfectly with the delicious flavors they were enjoying.
With each crack of the bat and the roar of the crowd on TV, the Ojamajos couldn't help but get swept up in the action. Doremi bounced in her seat every time the Giants got on base, her eyes wide with enthusiasm. Aiko let out playful whistles whenever the Tigers' pitcher struck someone out, thoroughly enjoying the back-and-forth of the game.
"I really hope we get to see hockey when we visit Canada," Doremi said between bites, her voice filled with excitement. "Sachiko's cousins told me it's super popular there, but I've never even seen a match before. I bet it's so cool!"
Hazuki nodded thoughtfully, wiping her mouth with a napkin. "I've only read about hockey in books," she mused. "It sounds fascinating with all the skating and fast movements. The players must be so graceful—almost like dancers on ice."
"Graceful? Pfft, maybe if they're winning!" Aiko teased, tossing a playful glance at Hazuki. "I'd rather see football in the UK. It's Europe's biggest sport, and the fans are supposed to be incredibly passionate. Imagine the chants and songs during a match! The whole stadium singing together... it must feel amazing."
Her eyes lit up as she spoke, already lost in the thought of an electric stadium filled with fervent fans.
"Brazil too!" Aiko added eagerly, her hands gesturing as she got more excited. "Football is everything there! The whole country practically lives and breathes it. They even dance when their team wins! I'd love to see that for myself."
Momoko nodded, her eyes twinkling with curiosity. "In America, we call it soccer," she said, smiling as she joined the conversation. "But our football is totally different—more like rugby, but with helmets and tackling. I went to a few NFL games with my friends back in New York. The atmosphere is wild! They even have marching bands and cheerleaders! It's like a huge performance as much as a game!"
Pop, always the curious one, piped up from her seat. "Have you heard of Takanakuy?" she asked with a spark in her eyes. "It's a Christmas tradition in Peru where people fight each other to settle arguments. They don't even get in trouble for it because it's part of the holiday!"
Hazuki blinked, her eyes wide. "That sounds... intense," she said with a raised eyebrow. "I don't think I'd want to try that one. I prefer peace and quiet, thank you."
Onpu, always the cool-headed one, leaned forward with a soft smile, her voice calm and composed. "I'd love to see cricket in India," she mused, her eyes drifting toward the TV screens as if imagining the scene. "It's similar to baseball, but with a whole different style. The matches can last for days, and the crowds are huge. They even paint their faces and wave flags the entire time. It's such a vibrant and colorful atmosphere."
"Hana-chan wants to see rugby in Australia!" giggled Hana, waving her arms enthusiastically as she jumped into the conversation. "Boom! Boom! Smash! Hana-chan can't wait to see this amazing sport! The players look so tough!"
Everyone laughed, imagining Hana on a rugby field, her pigtails bouncing with every exaggerated crashing noise she made. Hana was always full of energy, and the thought of her trying to tackle someone on a rugby field was nothing short of amusing. She really was eager to experience the raw action of the sport firsthand.
As the night wore on, the sports bar transformed into a melting pot of stories, laughter, and dreams of future adventures. Though they were still in Japan, the Ojamajos felt a sense of connection to the world beyond their homeland. With each story they shared, every food they sampled, and every sport they imagined seeing, the world felt a little smaller—closer. The bright glow of the TV screens reflected in their happy faces as they sat together, laughing and chatting, the excitement of their travels and experiences just beyond the horizon.
Eventually, the night began to wind down, and the Ojamajos made their way back to their hotel for a much-needed rest. The sports bar had been a perfect end to their busy day, full of food, fun, and the thrill of international sport. Tomorrow would bring new adventures, but for now, they were content to rest, knowing that the world was waiting for them, filled with endless possibilities.
It was day three, the day before the group was set to leave the hotel. The Ojamajos gathered together with a shared sense of determination. Today was going to be different. They had decided to ask the hotel's lifeguard for help, as she was the one person who might know how to keep everything under control in the chaotic pool area. They quickly changed out of their regular clothes into their swimsuits, excited for the task ahead.
As they made their way toward the pool, the scene before them was overwhelming. The area was packed with people—families, children, and a crowd of vacationers all splashing and playing in the water. It seemed almost impossible to keep track of so many people, but the Ojamajos were up for the challenge.
They spotted the lifeguard by the poolside, standing tall and looking serious. She was adjusting her whistle and checking her equipment, clearly preparing for a long day ahead. As the girls approached, she turned to them with a stern expression.
"Alright, young ladies. I need your help," she said, her voice cutting through the noise of the crowded pool. She was carrying a heavy bag of equipment, clearly having her hands full. "I can't handle all of this by myself. The pool area is going to be chaotic today with so many people. We need to make sure everything stays safe, especially with the crowd getting larger by the minute."
Doremi stepped forward, her usual enthusiasm tempered by the gravity of the situation. "So, what exactly will we be doing to help today?" she asked, her eyes wide with curiosity.
The lifeguard gave a small nod, her expression serious. "You'll be helping me keep an eye on things. I need you to stay alert at all times. If something happens, you need to blow your whistle and get my attention. We'll need to coordinate quickly."
Aiko, who had always been cautious and responsible, raised a hand. "Do we need to know anything specific? Like CPR or first aid?"
Hana, with her usual calmness, answered before anyone else could. "Yes, we do. We learned CPR and basic first aid in school." Her tone was confident, and the other girls nodded in agreement.
"Good," the lifeguard said, clearly pleased. "It's crucial that you know what to do in case of an emergency."
Onpu, always the one to ask thoughtful questions, spoke up next. "Is there anything else we should be aware of while we're working today?"
The lifeguard took a deep breath, scanning the pool area. "The most important thing is to stay focused. Keep an eye on the children, especially the ones who look like they might get too excited or wander off. And if you see someone struggling, don't hesitate to get my attention."
The Ojamajos nodded in unison, understanding the seriousness of the task at hand.
"Alright," the lifeguard continued, "I want each of you to take some of the equipment I've brought." She gestured toward a nearby room where various lifeguard tools were stored—whistles, rescue tubes, and first aid kits.
The girls hurried to the room, excited yet focused on the responsibility they were about to take on. Each of them grabbed their assigned equipment, checking that everything was in working order. They knew they had to be ready for anything.
As they returned to the poolside, the Ojamajos stood tall, fully aware that the safety of everyone at the pool was in their hands. It was going to be a long, busy day, but they were ready.
Doremi, Pop, and Hana went to the regular pool areas and the hot springs area. Aiko and Momoko took charge of the Olympic-sized pool, while Hazuki and Onpu watched over the children's pool.
Everything seemed to be going smoothly at first. The girls were diligent, patrolling their assigned areas, making sure no one ran too close to the pool's edge or played too roughly. Occasionally, they'd blow their whistles to give small warnings, and the lifeguard watched them from a distance with an approving smile.
However, by midday, the calm atmosphere was shattered by loud, boisterous voices echoing from the regular pool area. A group of seven young men had gathered near the deep end, their smartphones set up on tripods. They were part of a YT prank channel, staging a reckless challenge involving stunts and roughhousing in the water.
Doremi furrowed her brow as she watched them from the poolside. Pop clung to her sister's arm, sensing trouble. "Onee-chan... they look like they're going to do something dangerous."
Hana, always perceptive, nodded in agreement. "They're not paying attention to how deep the water is. If something happens..."
Before Doremi could respond, one of the pranksters attempted to climb onto another's shoulders, trying to create a human tower in the middle of the pool. The unstable formation wobbled dangerously as the others cheered and laughed.
Doremi's heart skipped a beat. Without hesitation, she blew her whistle sharply, the sound cutting through the noise. "Everyone, get out of the pool now!"
The lifeguard, hearing the whistle, rushed to the scene, her eyes narrowing at the reckless group. But before she could intervene, disaster struck. The human tower collapsed, sending the pranksters crashing into the water. Arms flailed, and panicked shouts filled the air as the prank had gone horribly wrong.
"They're drowning!" Pop cried, clutching Doremi's arm tighter.
The Ojamajos exchanged a quick glance. There was no time to hesitate.
"Let's go!" Doremi shouted, grabbing a rescue tube and diving into the water.
With the lifeguard barking orders from the poolside, the girls split up, each one heading toward a struggling prankster. Aiko and Momoko swam swiftly, their strong strokes cutting through the water. Hazuki guided two of the panicked men toward the edge while Onpu helped keep another calm.
Doremi reached one of the pranksters who was floundering helplessly. "Hold on to this!" she called, throwing him the rescue tube. He clung to it desperately as she towed him back to safety.
Pop stood by the edge, helping pull people out one by one with Hana's guidance. The whole scene played out like a well-coordinated rescue operation, each Ojamajo knowing exactly what to do.
By the time the last prankster was hauled out of the water, coughing and shivering, the pool area had fallen into a stunned silence. The lifeguard stepped forward, her eyes filled with relief.
"You girls... you did an incredible job," she said softly, her voice shaking slightly.
Doremi wiped the water from her brow, breathing heavily but smiling. "We couldn't just stand by and watch... we're Ojamajos, after all. Safety is magic."
The other girls gathered around, their eyes shining with pride despite their exhaustion.
For the rest of the day, the Ojamajos continued their duties, even more vigilant than before. Though the sun began to set and the pool slowly emptied, the memory of the rescue lingered—proof that even the smallest heroes could make a difference.
As the last guests departed, the lifeguard approached the girls, her face softened with gratitude.
"I would like to thank you for your cooperation," she said, tipping her cap. "You were a great help today. I'm going to recommend to the hotel management that we hire more lifeguards. We can't always rely on little heroes like you, can we?"
Doremi smiled brightly, though there was a hint of sadness in her eyes. "You're welcome... but tomorrow night, we're leaving."
The lifeguard's smile faltered for a moment. "Oh? Is there a reason? Just curious."
Doremi exchanged glances with her friends before answering. "We're going on a world adventure... to meet new friends across the world and learn about their cultures."
Pop stepped forward, her voice filled with youthful determination. "Even though we're just young girls, we're going to travel to all the countries of the world!"
The lifeguard's eyes widened in surprise before her face broke into a warm smile. "That's wonderful! Not many people get a chance like that. You're all very brave. I hope your journey will be unforgettable."
"Thank you!" Hana chirped, twirling around with excitement.
Aiko stretched her arms, glancing toward the setting sun. "Shall we head back to our room? We need to get ready for tomorrow."
Onpu nodded, a dreamy look in her eyes. "The world is calling us... we shouldn't keep it waiting."
Momoko clasped her hands together, her heart fluttering with anticipation. "Besides, you can count on us even when we're far from Japan. We'll make sure to spread kindness wherever we go."
The lifeguard chuckled, tipping her cap once more. "I'm sure you will. Safe travels."
The girls waved goodbye, their voices harmonizing in a cheerful farewell.
"So long for now!"
"You too!" the lifeguard replied, watching as the girls disappeared into the changing rooms.
After changing out of their swimsuits into their regular clothes, the Ojamajos returned to their hotel room. The golden glow of the setting sun bathed the room in warm hues, casting long shadows across the walls. The salty breeze drifted in through the open balcony door, carrying with it the distant sound of seagulls and the gentle murmur of waves.
Without saying a word, they all gravitated toward the patio, drawn by the peaceful sight of the horizon. The sky was painted in streaks of orange, pink, and purple, blending together like the colors of a dream. The sunlight shimmered across the calm sea, stretching endlessly into the distance. For a moment, none of them spoke—simply soaking in the quiet beauty of the evening.
Hazuki rested her hands on the railing, her amber eyes reflecting the fading light. "Tomorrow... our adventure begins," she murmured, her voice soft with wonder.
Momoko leaned on the edge, resting her chin in her hands. "I wonder what kind of friends we'll meet..." Her mind danced with images of new faces, new smiles, and bonds waiting to be formed.
"New places... new food... and so many people to help!" Aiko grinned, the excitement bubbling in her chest. Her eyes sparkled as she imagined all the stories waiting to unfold.
Doremi gazed out at the endless horizon, her heart swelling with hope. The setting sun painted everything in a golden glow, making the whole world feel magical. "No matter where we go... we'll always be Ojamajos. We'll make this world a little more magical."
The girls exchanged warm smiles, their hearts connected by the unspoken promise of adventure. In that fleeting moment, with the sky aglow and the sea stretching before them, everything felt possible. The journey ahead was unknown, but they knew one thing for sure — they would face it together.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, they lingered on the patio until the first stars began to twinkle in the darkening sky. Eventually, the night air grew cooler, prompting them to retreat inside where the warm glow of the hotel room wrapped around them like a cozy blanket.
Later that evening, the room was filled with the cheerful sounds of video game music and laughter. The girls gathered around the TV, controllers in hand, playing Mario Party on the Switch. The bright, colorful graphics flashed across the screen as each mini-game sparked playful competition.
"Come on, Luigi! You can do it!" Hana cheered, clutching her controller tightly as her character dashed across the board.
"Must... mash... those... buttons... fast...!" Doremi panted dramatically, her fingers furiously tapping as Mario tried to outrun the others in a frantic mini-game.
Aiko burst out laughing. "Doremi, you're gonna break the controller!"
"I'll win us some stars if it's the last thing I do!" Doremi declared, her tongue sticking out in determination.
"Come on, sis! You can do it!" Pop cheered from the sidelines, bouncing on her knees as she rooted for her big sister.
Momoko giggled, hugging a pillow close to her chest. "This is more intense than casting magic spells."
Hazuki adjusted her glasses, a small smile playing on her lips as she carefully planned her next move, always the strategist even in games.
Onpu, sitting off to the side, nibbled on a hot dog she had ordered from room service, watching the chaos unfold with amused eyes. The faint melody of the game music blended with the sound of laughter, filling the room with a warmth that made the night feel timeless.
As the hours passed, the pile of snacks dwindled, and their eyelids grew heavier. Yet none of them wanted the night to end. The simple joy of being together, playing games, and sharing laughter wrapped around them like an invisible spell — a quiet kind of magic that only existed in these precious moments.
By the time the clock ticked past midnight, the game had been long forgotten. The girls lay sprawled across the beds and floor, chatting in soft voices about their dreams for the days ahead. Tomorrow would bring new adventures, new challenges, and new memories — but for now, they simply enjoyed the comfort of each other's presence.
No matter where tomorrow would take them, they knew one thing would never change.
They were Ojamajos.
And together, they could make the world just a little more magical.
