BLADE OF OLYMPUS!

Chapter 2: Welcome to Camp Half-Blood!

"Soooo, lemme see if I've got this right..." Naruto said as he hung around the porch of the Big House, which was a rather normal sized, two-story building. It had been a whole day since his arrival at Camp Half-Blood, which was apparently what the people here considered to be the safest place for half-blooded children of the gods, or demigods. Since then, Naruto was able to get some much-needed food and rest the night before. Now he traded in his jumpsuit for an orange Camp T-shirt and a pair of black jeans. He kept his sandals on as they were the only things comfortable for him to wear. A new addition, however was the chain bracelets worn on each wrist with a tiny figurine version of the very blades he used against the Fury.

Currently, he was in front of two men.

One of which was Chiron in his mortal disguise, having somehow shifted his horse-half into a wheelchair with human legs. (However he was able to do it, Naruto could only summarize to be done by the almighty powers of complete magical bullshit, patent pending.)

The other man looked like a young Santa Claus after a frat party with a heavy hangover. Complete with a head full of curly black hair, a scruffy beard, a red nose and a chubby face with bloodshot watery-blue eyes to finish the ensemble. Wearing a tiger-striped Hawaiian shirt, khaki shorts and purple running shoes, he was sitting comfortably behind a table with a can of Diet Coke in one hand, and a set of cards in the other. Though judging by the look on his face, the drunkard would rather be anywhere else than camp-something that Naruto could relate to as he desperately wanted to get back home because how else was he supposed to become Hokage?!

Anyways...

"These 'Greek gods' actually exist. Like, they have domains, they keep the world going."

"Indeed, my boy." the revered centaur answered with a smile.

"And they sometimes come down to earth to have kids-demigods, sorry..." the whiskered boy briefly apologized at seeing the condescending looks from the two men before continuing. "Where they have demigods that then come here, to this very camp?"

"Correct."

"And you're in charge of training these 'heroes' for any missions-quests, sorry force of habit-that they MAY go on? And you think that I'm one of these demigods?"

"Yes, quite so. Any other questions?"

Naruto blinked once. Twice.

Thrice...

"...Eh, not really."

The portly man beside Chiron raised an eyebrow at the shinobi. "What, you're going to take his word just like that, Nathan Underwood? You were all so skeptical since you got here."

The young Uzumaki turned to sheepishly look at the man, who was introduced by Chiron as "Mr. D", as he tried to give a short answer; saying: "Well, I was dragged here by a portal my sensei and I were investigating on a pine tree. He could summon giant battle-toads the size of mountains. I come from a world where physics pretty much looks the other way. I'm still not sure about this whole 'me being a demigod' thing, but seeing as how I somehow managed to get here and with what happened last night, I'm gonna go on a limb and say it's probably all true."

The two men blinked, not expecting such an honest response from the jinchuuriki. Eventually, though Chiron just sighed whereas Mr. D just shrugged his shoulders and sipped form his drink. "Well then, Naruto." the activities director began, "On the behalf of everyone here in camp, present company included," the pudgy man gave off a snort to which the other two ignored, "I would like to thank you again for your bravery last night."

The whiskered blond grinned at the aged centaur. "It's no big deal, really. I just can't stand people like that. Way I see it, we're all here for some reason or another."

Chiron chuckled at the boy's philosophy. Privately, he often wondered how he would fare with the likes of Socrates in Ancient Greece. "Right," he said while jumping out of his wheelchair, his horse-half fully meerging with a glow of light. "let's give you a tour, shall we?"

Walking out of the Big House they passed by the strawberry fields and a volleyball court which Naruto could see a bunch of kids playing and having fun. There was even an Arts and Crafts area where he even saw Annabeth, who waved enthusiastically at him while sculpting a clay pot much to his surprise. There was even a lake they could go canoeing in. Naruto learned that there was a camp store, which was where his camp T-shirt came from.

That's where all the normal camp stuff ended dramatically.

Firstly, there's a giant rock climbing wall that's constantly spewing out LAVA, and these kids are expected to just go up and down like Bob's your uncle and you're done.

Secondly, there's a forge and armory where you can create and store whatever weapons or armor you can think of. He saw a whole lot of kids from Cabin Nine spending a lot of time hammering away.

And unless he was mistaken, he could've sworn he heard Chiron say that there was a forest seemingly infested with monsters. As if the Training Arena hadn't gotten his attention, already.

The Dining Pavilion looked a little strange for him. When asked how they were going to eat in the rain without a roof of some kind, Chiron laughed and told him: "The barrier that protects the camp from monsters and unsuspecting mortals also wards off bad weather, so there is no chance of rainfall to ruin our meals." Naruto thought it was pretty sweet.

And then, there were the Cabins themselves. Naruto noted that in spite of there being twelve cabins in total, only the eleventh seemed a bit overcrowded.

"Hey, Chiron, why is it that Cabin Eleven is more jam-packed than all the others? Couldn't they just, I dunno, use the others instead." That started a rather long-winded explanation of how only claimed demigods can live in their designated cabins and that, as the God of Travellers, Hermes allowed an acceptance policy stating that any undetermined camper or any camper whose godly parent did not have a cabin at camp can stay inside.

The whiskered boy gave the centaur a look of disbelief before forcing himself to stay silent, not wanting to say something that he'd later regret.

"...Over there is the Amphitheater, just before you reach Half-Blood Hill. By the strawberry fields are the pegasi stables. You can also find the beach if you keep walking north." Chiron summed up with a serious tone before smiling at the boy. "And that seems to be everything, my boy! Now I'm sure you'll want to meet with Thalia and the others soon, so I won't be keeping you." When he turned to make his leave, he shouted: "And again, welcome to Camp Half-Blood!"

"Hey, Whiskers!" Thalia cried out as Naruto approached the Sword Arena. She, Kass, and Luke were looking at the many spars happening in the training grounds when the blond shinobi had arrived. "How was the tour?"

He grinned in reply. "Eh, it was alright. Chiron was more than happy to fill me in. What about you, Freckles?"

The daughter of Zeus grew a stormy expression on her face at the nickname before remembering what she called him firsthand; Luke and Kass were too busy trying not to snicker at her embarrassment. Shaking her head, the punk-clad teen quickly glared at the other two before turning her eyes on the young man. "I'm gonna let that slide because I forgot about earlier. Anyways, we're just watching the older kids train. Care to join?"

"Honestly, I'd rather join on a spar against you guys." Naruto answered. "From what I heard, you four went on a cross-country trip to get here before Grover found you. Either you were lucky, or you've got a whole lotta bite to back up that claim."

Kass gave the whiskered blond a challenging smirk. "Oh? You've got some cojones to say that to our faces. What makes you so sure it wasn't luck?"

"When we first met, I noticed the small nicks on the tip of Thalia's spear-the kind you'd see after a serious fight against an armored opponent. In my honest opinion I'd give it about another five, maybe ten fights before it'll break. Then there's Luke's armor. It was old, sure I'll give it that. But some of those scratches couldn't have been more than a few weeks old. If you were lucky, it'd last about five more days without any serious fighting-feel free to stop me at anytime. You've got a faint scar on your hand from being cut-probably from a dagger, anything bigger would have severed your fingers otherwise. But it looks like it healed nicely that it's almost vanished. Add that to the callouses on the palms of each of your hands, and I'd say that you've been on the run for at least two to three years tops, possibly four. Am I wrong?"

Dead silence greeted him as the three demigods looked at him with shellshocked faces, eyes threatening to pop out of their heads. Didn't help much that even some of the older kids looked at him in amazement. One guy gave him a look that screamed, 'Dude, what the fuck?'

Naruto blinked at their expressions and said: "What? Was it something I said?"

Luke let out a low whistle that seemed to break the tension amidst the arena. "Oookay, I think I speak for all of us when I say: how did you know all that?"

The other boy just shrugged. "My master taught me to look for these things. It's a pretty basic trick to know your enemy-where their armor's the weakest, how many hits until their weapons break. You know, basic stuff." Indeed it was. Jiraiya the Gallant was not named one of the Three Legendary Sannin for nothing. In spite of his perverted tendencies, once the old sage learned of his Shadow Clone trick, he made damn sure that Naruto knew everything there was to know about being a shinobi. Mostly emphasizing on his fuinjutsu, out of pride of being a sealing master himself. But the older male also improved his taijutsu so that they boy wouldn't rely on his clones so much, as well as refining his Rasengan technique. They were about to start on his elemental affinity just right before the whole pine tree seal mishap started.

"Riiiiiiight..." Thalia stated with a disbelieving look. Sighing in exasperation, she and the others turned back towards the spars. Immediately, however, they overheard cheering and cries of: "SPARROWHAWK!" "SPARROWHAWK!" "SPARROWHAWK!"

Wanting to see what the commotion was about, the group moved closer to the growing mass of kids and teens gathered around a pair of fighters clad in leather training armor circling each other.

One, a young man judging by his size and build, wielded a blunted steel xiphos and round shield. On his head was a traditional Greek helmet with blue plumes

The other, a girl, brandished a 5-foot longsword in her right hand, the blade in pure silver and the handle in black leather grips. On the pommel was a snarling silver wolf's head with two small rubies where the eyes would be. Yet for some reason it had a small circular guard just above the grip. In addition to her armor, she wore steel shoulder plates with engravings of a raging boar's head and a large fur collar seemingly from a black bear. A necklace holding a pair of dog tags was worn around her neck.

And without a helmet, the group of five-Naruto included-got a good look at her face.

She appeared a year older than he was, about Luke's age. A crown of shoulder-length reddish-brown hair adorned her head, framing the brown eyes staring down her opponent. There were claw marks on her right cheek, possibly from fighting off a large hound of some sort. And her full lips were curled into a small grin as she spun her sword in anticipation.

For a moment, no one moved. Then the young man charged, holding his sword above his head and his shield in front of him. The redhead, who the others were calling "Sparrowhawk", easily sidestepped around his flank before lunging her sword at his side. Seeing this coming, the man backed away from the blade before sweeping at her legs with his weapon. Deflecting his blade, "Sparrowhawk" moved in closer at such speed that her opponent was caught off guard at the quick shoulder tackle that pushed him back. The young man barely had time to raise his shield when his opponent jumped forward and kicked him away. Landing in a crouch, the demigoddess twirled the sword in her hand before it shone in a bright silver light. As soon as it appeared the light had vanished, revealing that the sword had somehow shapeshifted into a beautiful silver spear with a black leather shaft; there were wolf-like motifs along the shaft itself. "Sparrowhawk" stared down her opponent with a wide hungry grin, her brown eyes seemed to glow red to which the young man could only gulp before readying himself.

Then, she pounced, giving the other fighter ample opportunity to jump to the side and ready his blade for a swing. But the "Sparrowhawk" landed on one knee, aimed her spear low, and jabbed quickly at the ground in front of him. Hasting into a retreat, the young man was thrown off his guard that he never saw when the butt of her spear crashed into his helmet. He was sent onto his back with a loud thud, but when he tried to get back up the young man found her spear aimed at his throat. A moment passed before clapping and cheering could be heard as the grounded fighter surrendered, causing the "Sparrowhawk" to stay her weapon before helping him back up.

"Damn it, I almost had you that time Cer!"

A low, melodious sound rose from her throat as she laughed. "Yeah, yeah, keep telling yourself that Johnny! Maybe it'll help you sleep better at night!"

Laughter echoed in the arena as Chiron appeared from the other side of the training grounds, an amused smile on his face. "Who won, if I may ask?"

"Someone challenged MacLeod, Chiron. Who do you think?"

"Ah," he replied with a hint of mirth, "I take it, then, that her streak is unbroken still?"

"HA! You know it!" The young girl answered, willing away her spear to where it collapsed into a black Zippo lighter. Her shoulder plates and fur collar glowed before reforming into another pair of dog tags. She basked in the afterglow of her victory before turning to the small group of five with an inquiring look. "Hey Chiron, is this them?"

The aged centaur gave a nod in response. "The very ones that just arrived from last night. Oh, that reminds me!" Chiron trotted over to their side, his right arm held out. "Young heroes, allow me to introduce Cerys MacLeod, daughter of Ares."

"Nice to meet you lads and lasses."

"Now Cerys, this is Thalia, daughter of Zeus."

"'Sup."

"And Luke Castellan, son of Hermes."

"Hey!"

"Of course, you already know Grover."

"Well, duh! Kinda hard not to..." she laughed off with a grin before turning to the last two of the group. "And what about them?"

"Naruto Uzumaki, undetermined."

"Whazzap!"

Cerys raised an eyebrow before giving the whiskered blond a grin. "So you're the one that killed the Kindly Ones? Gotta say, that takes guts kid."

"OI! Who're you calling a kid?! You're only a year older than me at best!" The blond hissed in agitation.

The daughter of Ares snorted, amused at the younger blond's antics. Turning to face the last member of the group, she asked, "And you're Kass, right? That short for something?"

Kass took a deep breath, closing her eyes before opening them with a steely glint. "It's Kassandra. I don't really like to use my full name; I prefer just Kass, if you don't mind."

Cerys shrugged her shoulders. "Eh, fair enough." Turning back to the centaur, she asked. "So, are they ready to start training? They look rather hungry for a fight."

"I would prefer for them to get settled in first, but-" Chiron couldn't say anything else after seeing the eager grins. "Oh, alright if you all insist. Everyone, make way! It's time to see the skills of our new arrivals!"

Cheers erupted from the crowd as they cleared off the arena. Eventually, the rest of the campers who were elsewhere showed up to see the three-way match. Not having a weapon of his own, Luke ran to the sidelines to join Annabeth, who was cheering her support for Thalia and Kass.

Soon, it was only the three teens and Chiron, who layed out the basic rules for the three-way match. "Now, the rules are simple. Firstly, no killing. Second, no maiming of any kind. Lastly, the match will be declared when there is either a clear victor or when one of the combatants sustains a serious injury. All magical items are allowed at this time. Anything else goes. Understand?" Seeing them nod he retreated to a safe distance before raising his hand in the air, only to swiftly chop it down with a cry of "BEGIN!"

Thalia moved first, pulling a Mace can from her jacket before expanding it into a spear, sparks of lightning dancing at the tip. Kass reached up to the brim of her cap to grab two clothing pins, which then expanded into the pair of labrys. Naruto tilted his head in a deadpanned expression.

'Well that's just not fair...' he thought before turning to Chiron. "Hey, how're they doing that?!"

Noting the whiskered young man's need for help, the aged centaur complied. "The bracelets on your wrists, Naruto! Try willing your blades into your hands!"

Before Naruto could register what the ancient trainer was talking about, he had to duck beneath an overhead jab from Thalia's spear. Every instinct screamed at him to unleash a Rasengan to the girl's exposed abdomen. The Uzumaki furiously fought to suppress it even as he raised his right arm to block a sweep from the butt of her weapon. Immediate regret as he soon felt a sharp stinging pain shoot up his arm due to Thalia challenging lightning through the spear, giving the daughter of Zeus enough time to deliver a punishing kick to the blond's chest, sending him skidding back before sensing danger coming behind him. Naruto, in spite of his near-paralyzed state was remarkably able to backflip over Kass' bull-rush tackle into Thalia, the punk-themed girl expanding her bracelet into a shield with a gorgon's head displayed on it. Normally, the Aegis replica would strike fear unto all who gaze upon it. To their credit, neither Naruto nor Kass showed any fear at the sight unlike the onlooking crowd, if anything it drove the Latina to strike its surface with her weapons. Landing back on his feet, the whiskered Uzumaki used the distraction of the two fighters to take apart of what Chiron said to him.

'Will my blades forward? The HELL is that old horse smoking?' Naruto dared not take his eyes off the two demigoddesses; the way they circled each other was akin to how wolves would ready themselves for a duel. Kass spun her labrys, Thalia readied her spear, and soon they lunged. Quickly sidestepping an overhead lunge, the southern Latina closed in to sweep with the right axe only to be countered by Aegis and pushed away from the daughter of Zeus. Aiming her spear, Thalia called down bolts of lightning, crashing down in front of Kass and keeping the Latina back before turning her attention on Naruto. Coating her spear in electricity, she rushed towards the whiskered blond aimed to strike at his chest. Dropping on all fours, the jinchuuriki let the weapon pass over him before using his legs to sweep at her feet, not giving her room to breath as he delivered an uppercut to the chin.

He could've sworn he heard someone in the crowd yell out "SHORYUUKEN!"

Stunned by the sudden blow to her jaw, Thalia left herself open to her overextended arm being grabbed and found herself thrown over Naruto's shoulder before being slammed into the dirt on her face. Growling, she sent a surge of elecricity around her body as a pseudo-armor; Naruto had to retreat to a safe distance so as not to get himself fried. Lightning did not want to be his friend, it seemed. Almost immediately the blond caught movement in the corner of his eye, and he turned to see Kassandra charging at him with her labrys cocked back at full swing. Naruto leaned back at the initial swing, moved to her left at the following axe, landed an elbow strike at her ribs, spun behind her and kicked the cowgirl away. In doing so, however, he never saw one of her axes getting caught on his new T-shirt.

*RIIIIIIIIIIP!*

The whiskered boy blinked as he felt the cool summer breeze on his skin as he looked down at the tatters of his T-shirt. Shame, he was starting to love that color. With a heavy sigh he ripped off the remainder of the top and, following Chiron's brief instruction, managed to somehow will his weapons forward; gripping the chains as the blades struck sharply against the ground. Looking up at the two armed girls, he gave a small grin. "Alright, now it's MY turn."

Swinging his left arm forward, the kopis soared at Thalia like a hawk, catching a few strands of hair as she ducked. Sending the other blade forwards, Naruto spun in place, the chained weapons themselves catching fire as they became a flaming whirlwind of death. Gathering lightning at her spear, the proud demigoddess cast a thunderbolt at Naruto's feet only for the blond genin to jump into the air. Surrounding herself in a barrier of electricity, Thalia jumped up to meet him.

Sword met spear as the daughter of Zeus brought her shield up smashing against Naruto's chest, sending him falling back to earth. Not willing to relent, the whiskered shinobi dug his blades into the ground, breaking his fall as he slid down to a knee across the arena. Gripping his weapons tightly, the boy instinctively brought the left blade behind him to parry Kassandra's axe before spinning to counter the other with the kopis in his right. Without thinking he grabbed both sides of her head, slammed his forehead into her face, wrapped his chains around her ankles and shoulders before launching her towards Thalia.

The lightning-user blinked, having been caught off-guard at the human missile careening her way. She wouldn't have to worry long, however, as Kassandra vanished in a puff of smoke and Naruto taking her place. Feeling something tug on her shield, Thalia looked down to see one of the chains wrapped around it; immediately she found herself flying across the arena as the young blond yanked her out of the air and cratering into the earth below.

The loud thud as she landed caused the crowd to recoil, hissing with a very low "Ooooooh!"

Naruto blinked with a surprised expression as he stared at the spot where Thalia landed, recalling his chains. "Was that it?" Thunder boomed as a lightning-encased spear was hurled at his face, causing him to bend over backwards as he felt his eyebrows start to singe at the arcs of electricity passing over him. Suddenly, he started to feel the earth rumble beneath his feet. He was confused, Chiron told him about the magical barrier that protected the camp even against natural disasters. He looked to his right and saw Kass slamming her dual axes into the ground, which seemed to be causing the tremors. Bracing himself, Naruto allowed for both Thalia to raise herself from the man-made crater, and for Kassandra to finish slamming her weapons earthbound.

"Well, that's a thing..."

With a roar Kassandra leapt at him, bringing her labrys down on his head. Naruto stepped to the side, raising his blade to block an incoming strike with his kopis. Kassandra swung her axe at his left only to be parried. The right, countered again. She was, however, able to knock his blades upward leaving him open for a roundhouse kick; the boy stumbling back followed with a stomp to his chest. The axe-user backed off as he swung his chains in front of him defensively in a fiery barrier. Leaping forwards, Naruto swung his chains around her waist, whipping her around before he lifted her into the air and finally brought her crashing back-first into the ground before swiftly stomping on her head, effectively keeping her down. Turning to look at Thalia, the whiskered blond readied himself as he gathered chakra throughout his body. Thalia charged towards him, electricity sparking around her body as she struck at him with her spear. Naruto parried the sparking blade as he jumped from the ground and stomped onto her shield with his feet, pushing her back when he swung at her ankles; gaining ground against his opponent.

The crowd kept cheering, shouting: "NARUTO!" and "THALIA!", not knowing who would win. The tension of seeing these two fight was like nothing before-not even Cerys could believe it. She heard about the exploits of the daughter of Zeus from Grover's commentary during the match, but this unknown-the boy-it was completely new to her.

'By the gods of Olympus!' she thought as Cabin Five councilor observed the match ahead. 'That kid fights like he was born to fight! Just what kind of training do ya need to get around the arena like that?!'

Thalia roared as she sent a volley of electricity at the whiskered blond, guiding the bolts with her spear as he maneuvered his way towards her. Dodging to his left, ducking underneath a bolt, then vaulting between two streaks of lightning much to the daughter of Zeus' stupor. The punk-clad teen could only blink as Naruto suddenly appeared; she tried to swing her spear when the jinchuuriki gave a hard jab at her stomach with his fist, causing her to fold over his extended limb like a pretzel as he wrapped chains around her body with his free hand. After spinning around her bound form, He kicked in the back of her knees, held one blade at her throat, another at her ribs, and said "Yield."

Thalia struggled-tried to fry him, even-but the chains wound even tighter until eventually she closed her eyes and nodded. Cheers and shouts filled the air as Naruto released the demigoddess, helping her up from her knees as he did so. Chiron called the match as he trotted his way towards the pair.

"Well done, Naruto, Thalia!" he proclaimed as he made to wake Kassandra. "In all my years of training heroes, never have I seen such a display of skill!"

Naruto rubbed the back of his head as he grinned sheepishly at the aged centaur. "Hey, Thalia and Kass were something else! I could barely keep up with their teamwork."

"Hey, don't sell yourself short Whiskers! You were handing us our butts for most of it!"

"I'm sorry, Freckles, did you say something? Could've sworn you did..."

"YOU HEARD ME, DAMMIT! AND STOP CALLING ME THAT!"

"Yeah, I sorta missed the part where that's my problem, so if you don't mind I'm gonna go find a new shirt to wear!"

Thalia growled at the whiskered blond until she looked down at the state of his dress. Thanks to Kassandra's swipe of her axe, the Daughter of Zeus could see the still-developing muscles lining his arms and chest. Granted, there were a few faded scars not worth mentioning-she also had her fair share. What did make her blink was the fist-shaped scar over his heart and the matching one at his back, as though someone had intentionally punched a hole through his chest.

Personally, she didn't think it was even possible to live through that kind of wound.

"Hey, Thalia, quit checking out the new guy!"

Lightning encased her fists as her face burned a bright red. "SHUT UP, LUKE!"

After the heated spar, everyone gathered in the Dining Pavilion for lunch. After having put on a new camp T-shirt, Naruto was sitting next to Luke, Kass and Annabeth at the Hermes table, eating a balanced diet of grapes, cheese, bread, and extra-lean, nymph-cut barbecue on his plate and a cup of orange soda. He could overhear the chatter from the other tables-Cabin Five were especially loud with Cerys topping them all. Though delicious as it was, it was somewhat comparable to the barbecue restaurant that Choji's family often ran back home. Don't get him wrong, the food was good, but it just couldn't beat Ichiraku ramen.

Looking around him, however, he saw Thalia sitting by herself at Zeus' table, solemnly prodding at her food with a fork. Not wanting to see her in such a mood, the whiskered shinobi waved her attention over by the side of the Pavilion. Earlier, Chiron had told him about the 'significance' of the tables and cabins; more specifically, how demigods of one parent were not allowed to lodge and dine in areas designated for other gods.

Naruto personally thought that the whole thing was stupid. In his village, such an idea was the surest way of getting your entire squad wiped out because they were too comfortable with the way things are. You'd have to be willing to adapt to any situation just to survive.

"Hey, you alright? Any broken bones?" he asked, to which the daughter of Zeus shook her head.

"I'm good. Chiron and the guys in Cabin Seven took a look at both me and Kass. Said we'll live-nothing a little ambrosia and nectar can't heal."

"Oh, thank God-" Suddenly, he heard the rumbling of thunder in the distance and sheepishly corrected himself. "Er, gods. Sorry."

Thalia let out an amused snort as she raised an eyebrow at him. "Heh, thanks Naruto." she spoke with a small smile. "You know, you don't seem like most other demigod kids around here."

*Groan* "There's that word again! I get what Chiron said about what being a demigod means, but there's just no way possible that I could be one."

Leaning against one of the pillars, the punk-clad girl let him vent out before opting to reply. "Well, you have ADHD, right?"

"ADHD? Oh, crap is this school?! That sounds like a math problem. I hate math..."

Thalia fought to keep her face even as she tried not to laugh at the young shinobi. "Oh gods, no! Those are just you battle reflexes to help you survive."

Blinking, Naruto opened his mouth to say otherwise but then remembered that he wasn't in the Nations anymore. They might not have chakra here, and this is what they had instead. So...

"Well I do have that in spades, now that you mention it. You and Kass were eating more dirt than I could count."

The Daughter of Zeus thought back to their spar earlier, her eyes twitching at the memory. "Yeah, don't let it get to your head, mister!" she barked, staring into his eyes with a glare. "That win was just beginner's luck! A fluke, you hear?!"

"Eh, doesn't change the fact that you lost." he bit back with a grin.

"YOU-!" Thalia made to claw at his face with her nails, but Naruto simply leaned out of the way.

*SWIPE!*

"Slow."

*SWIPE!*

"Sloppy."

*SWIPE!*

"Sad!"

"AAAAAAAARRGH!" Thalia roared out, coating her hands in electricity out of frustration.

"Ooh, careful Freckles. Your Zeus is showing!" Naruto laughed. By now all of the other campers were paying attention to the free show playing out in front of them. Luke, Kass, and Cerys broke out in fits of laughter while Annabeth was looking at the pair confused as Thalia started chasing the whiskered boy away from the Dining Pavilion.

"I'M GONNA KILL YOU, WHISKERS!"

"YOU'RE WELCOME TO TRY!"

"HOLD STILL, DAMN IT!"

"WHERE'S THE FUN IN THAT?!"

At the head table, Mr. D kept reading his wine magazine while Chiron gave a tired sigh. "This is going to be an interesting year..."

-End-Chapter-

A/N: And that's another chapter for Blade of Olympus! Honestly, I didn't know whether or not I'd be able to get another chapter done within the same month. What with helping my sister move to Jacksonville (somebody call Seaweed Brain, we've found his new vacation home!), and the much-needed overtime at work, I'd thought it'd take me another month at least! Still, I'm glad to have been able to push this out when I did.

UNTIL NEXT TIME, MY FRIENDS!
