In that classroom, a brown-haired boy, aged 18 was passed out on the floor. His clothes consisted of a white T-shirt, a blue hoodie, blue jeans, white socks and blue sneakers. As time kept ticking on, he slowly came to.
Protagonist: "...where am I?"
The last thing he remembered was...was...
...
His head hurt.
As he got up, the boy noticed a rectangular object on the table nearest to him. He picked it up and immediately it turned on, displaying the insignia of Hope's Peak alongside his name: Terashi Sakai. The name faded away, and a menu appeared with 5 options: Info, Map, Camera, Chat and Settings. A notification symbol popped up, followed by a message on a light yellow background. It read:
Notice to All Students
Welcome to Hope's Peak University, established 2011.
The opening ceremony will begin shortly.
Please make your way to the grand hall.
Terashi: "Hmmm..."
The young boy put the device in his pocket and left the classroom, heading towards the 'grand hall' and, at the same time, towards a new tomorrow...
A tomorrow of blood, guts and, of course...
...despair.
PROLOGUE: NEW SEMESTER, NEW STUDENTS
PLAY?

[GRAND HALL, ?:?AM]
Terashi took a deep breath, closed his eyes and opened the doors, revealing...
?#1: "GAH! WATCH THE DAMN DOOR!"
?#2: "So there's more of us?"
?#3: "Hmmm..it appears so."
...fifteen other students.
Terashi (confused): "Huh?"
The first student to walk up to him was a girl with long black hair tied into a ponytail. She was wearing a long-sleeved white T-shirt, a black blazer with a white skirt and black socks and shoes. The blazer had the Hope's Peak insignia embroidered onto the left breast pocket, as well as the shoes.
Beautiful Black-Haired Girl: "I'm guessing you don't know how you got here either."
Terashi (still confused): "Uhhh..y-yeah?"
Beautiful Black-Haired Girl: "Ah. Anyways, I should introduce myself. I am Ayaka Hanasaki, and according to my acceptance letter, I'm the Ultimate Student Council President- GAH!"
AYAKA HANASAKI - ULTIMATE STUDENT COUNCIL PRESIDENT - AGE: 18
Ayuno's head suddenly jerked backwards, as someone tugged on her hair as if they were ringing a church bell.
Terashi: "GAH! W-WHAT JUST HAPPENED?
Ayuno: "...I..actually don't know."
?#4: "I was trying to get your attention."
Another student, this time a boy, stepped out from behind the girl. The boy was slightly shorter than Ayaka and had spiky white hair. He wore a pair of black earbuds alongside a red headband, which covered his forehead and a short-sleeved white T-shirt with a red waistcoat. He also wore black fingerless gloves and jeans and red sneakers. In the middle of this white-red-black-white-red-black-red combination, some sort of VR headset-looking 'helmet', which covered both his eyes and mouth flickered to life, revealing two sliced ovals positioned on their curves and a curved line that resembled a frown.
?#4 (annoyed): "..."
Ayaka (annoyed): "...what do you want?"
?#4: "I just wanted to introduce myself, but NOOOOOOOOO, you decided to introduce yourself FIRST-"
Ayaka: "Just go ahead and do it already."
The girl walked away, leaving Terashi and the mysterious boy on their own.
?#4 (neutral): "Anywaaaay..what's your name?"
Terashi: "It's Terashi. Terashi Sakai."
?#4 (happy): "Cool. My name's Jirai Sakamoto, or DJ Yokai if you'd rather call me that, and I'm the Ultimate DJ!"
That name rang a bell.
JIRAI SAKAMOTO / DJ YOKAI - ULTIMATE DJ - AGE: 16
I remember reading about him online. Apparently the name DJ Yokai came from his TubeYou channel name "Yokai12", where he would post random videos. One day, he accidentally posted a photo of him fiddling around with a record board on Instaphoto, and then boom. Talk about an overnight celebrity.
Jirai (neutral): "So…do you know why we're here?"
Terashi: "No."
Jirai, obviously annoyed by this answer, turned around and shouted the following:
Jirai (annoyed): "DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHY WE'RE ACTUALLY HERE!?"
A veil of silence, brought on by the DJ's sudden 'outburst', crashed upon everyone's heads. A few minutes later, a voice broke that same silence.
Mysterious Voice: "I do believe I know the answer…"
Terashi: "Huh?"
Jirai (confused): "Where did that come from?"
Ayaka pointed to the podium on the stage.
Ayaka: "There!"
The camera zooms past all of the students and towards the podium. Right as the camera finishes its journey, a puff of smoke erupts from behind it, revealing…
"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls…and Jirai…It is I, your brand new headmaster!"
…a humanoid being.
This being, taller than both Jirai and Terashi and a bit taller than Ayaka, wore some sort of army commander's suit, which included a cap and a cape. The suit was split in two, with one side being white and the other side being black. The person wearing the suit's face was hidden by a mask, which was also split into white and black, with a jagged eye on the black side.
The first person to speak after the being's appearance was a girl with short blond hair that came down to her neck. She was wearing a normal high school uniform. Normal colours. Normal skirt length (reaching the knees). Everything about her screamed 'normal'.
Iroko: "W-who are you?"
IROKO SAKURAGAWA - ULTIMATE SERVANT - FEMALE - AGE: 17
The young girl was pushed aside by an oddly beautiful blue-haired woman, who looked like she was still a teenager. She was also wearing a normal high school uniform, except that it was black and blue, with a skirt that nearly reached her feet being held in place by a yellow belt adorned with a rose at the front.
Eliza: "And more importantly, where are we?"
HER HIGHNESS, ELIZABETH "ELIZA" SAKURAGAWA THE 2ND - ULTIMATE PRINCESS - FEMALE - AGE: 20 (hey, don't blame me for the her highness part, blame Eliza)
Both Terashi and Ayaka's jaws dropped. Jirai just stared at them.
Jirai (confused): "…What are you guys looking at?"
Terashi: "…"
Ayaka immediately pulled a book out of nowhere and began flipping through it.
Ayaka: "Ahah! 'The Sakuragawa family's family tree goes back to 1932, when Ryou Sakuragawa and Her Highness Elizabeth Kennington had a"…(with a disgusted expression) y'know what, I'm not gonna finish explaini- GAH!"
The sound of a microphone being bashed against the wall caused the veil of silence to come crashing down once again.
The being, putting the microphone back on the podium, finally spoke.
Commander: "My name is Monokaiser, and, like I said before, I am your headmaster."
Jirai (annoyed): "Yeah, we already know that!"
Monokaiser: But, unlike your old headmaster, I am also…drumroll please…"
A drum rolled across the stage.
Monokaiser (annoyed): "I said drumroll, not drum roll."
A drumroll came out of nowhere. After about 2 minutes, the drumroll ceased.
Monokaiser: "…the overseer of the first ever Killing College Life!"
Everyone was stunned.
Ayaka: "…"
Terashi: "…"
Jirai: "…"
Iroko: "…"
Eliza: "…"

Through the communicator in her ear, a British female voice could be heard loud and clear.
Program is now active. Bringing up revitalisation candidates...
A line of hexagonal capsules, each one containing a naked human frozen in time, were lifted into view.
Revitalisation tank #1 has been selected.
The first capsule, containing a brown-haired boy, eyes widened in fear, moved quickly down the conveyor belt towards what [REDACTED] called the "Revitalisation Deck", which was, in fact, two hexagonal pillars: a normal sized one where ever the floor was and a shorter one where ever the ceiling was.
As the capsule reached its destination, the shorter pillar moved downwards until it touched the top of the hexagonal prison. A few clunking noises signalled that the capsule was in place.
Hook up is complete.
As soon as that announcement came, a circle of pure energy came from the bottom of the capsule and repeatedly scanned the boy's body, checking his brainwaves, sanity and heart rate, all of which showed up on the main screen in the control room.
Subject #1's vitals are stable.
With a very loud scraping noise, the ceiling of the capsule opened up as well as the pillar.
Floodgate is open. Go ahead.
Chisa Yukizome, vice-director of [REDACTED]'s revitalisation sector closed her eyes and, with a sigh, pulled back the lever. Immediately, some sort of green fluid came gushing out of the pillar and into the capsule, filling it up to the top. The capsule's ceiling closed, signalling that her part was complete.
Program. Complete. Proceeding to move on to memory removal sector.
And with that, the capsule moved onwards. And so did Yukizome.

Well, hello there! You've reached the author's notice. To be honest, I really didn't think I'd get this far. In fact, the first time I tried to write this, I didn't save the file…at this point I think I'm turning into the Ultimate Unlucky Fanfic Writer.
Fun Fact #1: Originally, this was supposed to have Daisaku in it, because the guy hasn't been given a fleshed out backstory imo. Unfortunately, I decided against it.
Fun Fact #2: The whole Revitaliser thing was inspired by, believe it or not, the goddamn Toxicator closing sequence from Alton Towers.
Fun Fact #3: The person controlling the lever was supposed to be, out of all people, the Piano Freak herself, Kaede Akamatsu. I decided against that at the last minute, replacing her with Chisa Yukizome because why not :)
