Chapter 1: Killing the Prom Queen
Date: Saturday 22nd June 2013 (Prom Night)
Time: 22:00
Location: Thomas Ewen High School, Chamberlain, Maine
It was Prom night for all the senior students of Thomas Ewen High School, In Chamberlain, Maine. All the students who were attending, were dancing, laughing, and having a wonderful time, including the school's outcast and scapegoat, a young girl with Strawberry Blonde, who now looked much prettier, wearing a homemade pearl pink Prom Dress, this girl was Carrie White.
Carrie White had lived such a horrid and hellishly treated life… From the moment she was born, her mother: Margaret White, a religiously fanatical zealot, had treated her daughter like she was a spawn of the devil, having nearly killed Carrie, seconds after she was born. As Carrie grew up, whenever Carrie wanted to have freedom, or tried to act like a normal person, Margaret would beat Carrie with her bible, while chanting religious words and sentences, before locking Carrie in the prayer closet, forcing her to pray for forgiveness, not to mention the fact that Carrie had been born with special Telekinetic/Telepathic powers, which made Margaret even more scornful & resentful of her own daughter.
Margaret originally homeschooled Carrie, until the state found out, and declared that Carrie should be allowed to attend the local schools… But even then, Life was no better for Carrie, her religious upbringing had made an easy target of relentless bullying & harassment, especially from a group of popular girls in her own class, known as the Mortimer Snerds, led by their sadistic queen bee leader: Chris Hargensen. From 6th Grade to senior year currently, Chris and all her friends harassed & tormented Carrie, and never seemed to truly get in real trouble for it, seeing that Chris's dad was a filthy rich lawyer. But despite all she had suffered, from both her peers and her own mother, Carrie found some forms of support and help in the school gym teacher: Rita Desjardin, who had been more of a mother figure to her than Margaret had ever, despite not knowing what Margaret was really like…
Despite finding it fun, one of Chris's friends: Susan Snell, had began to have doubts about their actions towards Carrie, especially after recently, when Carrie experienced her first period, in which she tried to call help, only to be met with the girls' throwing tampons at her, while laughing & chanting 'Plug it up' at her, while Chris recorded the incident on her phone. After confessing this to her boyfriend: Tommy Ross, this made Sue begin to realise how wrong she, Chris and the other Snerds were wrong to treat Carrie the way they did, and even eventually asked to Tommy to take Carrie to prom in her place, whom both Tommy & Carrie were reluctant at first, but eventually both agreed.
Following Carrie's Period meltdown, and it being uploaded to the internet, Miss Desjardin, along with the school principal Morton, put the Mortimer Snerds under a week's detention, with the threat of 3 days suspension and being banned from Prom, to anyone who skipped or ignored detention… Chris attempted at rebellion, but no avail, in which she faced punishment, but tried to turn the tide with the help of her father, but thanks to Miss Desjardin seeing Chris's video, and knowing she still had it on her phone, she managed to get Chris's father to cave in, wanting to know what Chris was hiding, But Chris refused, and was determined to get revenge on both Carrie & those who got her banned from prom…
Within the remaining days of the week, with the chance to go to prom and try to socialize properly, Carrie made herself her pink prom dress, much to the disapproval of her mother, as well as Carrie using her powers to rebel against her mother for the first time, as well as locking her mother in the prayer closet just before going off to prom with Tommy…
As the music finished, everyone was announced to vote for their Prom King & Queen of the night, as everyone did, including Carrie & Tommy, who ended up voting for themselves…
Unbeknown to them, as well as many others, Chris & her boyfriend: Billy Nolan, were secretly above the stage, and had planned for Carrie & Tommy to win as Prom King & Queen, only for them pull another sadistic prank on her… as Chris had also texted Sue to inform her of what was going to happen, which alerted Sue, who went to the prom, just as the winners were about to be announced…
"Your King & Queen are… Tommy Ross & Carrie White!" the names were called out from the stage.
As their names were called out, Carrie felt like the world around her just stopped… until she could see everyone around her began smiling, clapping and cheering for her, as Tommy, helped her up and slowly guided her towards to the main stage, as everyone continued to clap and cheer for her.
For Carrie, it felt her life was finally at a turning point, where all the pain she suffered from birth, all the bullying, Harassment, and torment may finally be ending, as the shocked look on her face slowly became a bright smile…
As Carrie & Tommy came to the stage, and were announced once again as Prom King & Queen, as well as Carrie being given a bouquet of flowers, as she and Tommy stood on stage, smiling as everyone clapped, cheered and took photos of them, Chris and Billy were about to spring their prank, but the rope for it got stuck and jammed, as Sue, making her way through the crowd to warn Carrie & Tommy of Chris's prank, spotted Chris and Billy, only to be spotted by Miss Desjardin, who then confronted her…
"Sue, what are you doing here?! Come on!" Rita asked while pushing Sue towards the doors.
"No wait, No Miss Desjardin, no it's not me, It's Chris!" Sue pleaded, as Carrie spotted them, thinking she was up to something, while Chris & Billy continued to get the rope free.
"Pull it Billy!" Chris said raucously, as Billy shushed her.
"Don't ruin this for Carrie!" Rita said, continuing to force Sue out of the hall.
"No, it's no me!" Sue pleaded again.
"Come on, out!" Rita said again, before locking Sue out, as Sue continued banging on the doors… Just as Chris and Billy managed to free the rope, causing their prank to happen…
As a result, the bucket that the rope was connected to turned, allowing it to pour out a thick amount of cold pig's blood, as it fell, splashing all over Carrie, as well as on tommy slightly, causing everyone to stop cheering and clapping, leaving everyone in gasps of shock, as Carrie dropped her bouquet of Flowers, looking at her blood soaked hands, then at the audience, then the bucket above, then lastly at Tommy…
"WHAT THE HELL!" Tommy shouted.
Just then, Chris's Best friend: Tina Blake, replayed Chris's video of Carrie's period meltdown on her laptop, linked up to screens and speakers for everyone to see, causing almost everyone to laugh at Carrie, except from Sue, Tommy, Tommy's two friends: George Dawson & Erika Gogan, Miss Desjardin, Principal Morton, and a few other teachers, as Carrie looked at the video in horror, before turning to everyone laughing at her…
"Freak! Freak!" Chris laughed out loud, as Billy tied the rope of the bucket, before grabbing Chris and then both running, unaware Billy hadn't tied the rope tight enough, as it slowly began loosening…
As everyone continued to laugh at Carrie, her feelings of humiliation and embarrassment were quickly boiling into hatred and a lust for revenge, unaware that the bucket rope had come loose, and was falling towards her…
"Carrie, come on…" Rita called out, trying to reach out to Carrie, as well as Tommy, only for Carrie to force push both away, causing everyone to gasp in shock from what Carrie just showcased until…
*CLANK*
Carrie felt a sharp blow to her to the back of her head, as one student screamed, before her whole body felt limp, as she collapsed, falling backwards lifelessly to the floor…
"Carrie!" Rita screamed in horror, before she quickly got up, before rushing up the steps onto the stage, before tending to Carrie's body, while Principal Morton got his phone out and called for an ambulance.
Tommy was in shock, seeing his prom date, covered & lying on the floor in a pool of blood, before he heard noises behind him, he looked to see Chris and Billy attempting to escape the crime scene they'd created, as Tommy quickly got up and chased after them…
Sue saw Tommy going after them, while she was on the phone to the police, as she informed them of what was going on, before rushing another direction to help Tommy prevent Chris and Billy from escaping…
(Later on, that night…)
Time: 23:00
Location: Westover Doctor's Hospital
Paramedics were quickly wheeling Carrie in on an ambulance stretcher, with Rita, Sue & Tommy following close behind…
"What we got?" One Doctor asked.
"Carrietta Nadine White, Female, 17 years old, severe trauma to the back of her skull, caused by a sharp blow from a blunt object, we fear her skull may have been fractured…" One of the Paramedics.
Carrie was eventually cleaned up, dressed in a hospital gown & bandaging around her head, laying in a hospital bed, hooked up to life support… But as she lay there in her hospital bed, with doctors monitoring her, as well as Sue, Tommy, & Rita watching outside, hoping Carrie would pull through, outside the window to her room, a Crow landed on the other side, watching Carrie… When suddenly…
Carrie's body began fitting, and the machinery began beeping rapidly, causing the doctors to spring up, recognizing that Carrie's body was beginning to shut down… Carrie's body began to continue fitting and shaking, until it stopped, and the life support machinery just gave an endless beep, indicating Carrie had no pulse or heartbeat… Sue, Tommy, & Rita saw everything and were crying and screaming, with their hopes for Carrie surviving getting shorter and shorter by every passing second… The doctors quickly called in for a defibrillator as a final hope in saving Carrie…
"Clear!" One Doctor called, as the defibrillator caused Carrie's body to jolt, but nothing changed on the life support monitor…
"Clear!" The doctor called again, jolting Carrie's body again, still nothing…
"Clear!" The Doctor called for the final time, jolting Carrie's body one last time… but the machine just kept on giving the endless beep on death…
"Time of Death: 23:59…" Another doctor announced mournfully… As Sue, Tommy & Rita Broke down, crying in tears from all they could hear, confirming the worst: Carrie White was Dead…
