The succubus sat in silence, but it was a good silence. "Good morning." Bo wiped her eyes so she could focus as the sun shined through the window. It was early morning but not early, early.

"Good morning. What did I miss?." Lauren asked. Bo looked stunning as she sat tapping the side of her water glass.

"Breakfast is ready, and I kept it warm for you." Bo stood and walked into the kitchen. Pulling a few plates and an extra glass down, she grabbed some utensils and Lauren helped with getting the food plated. "This looks really good, Bo." Lauren smiled.

"You're going to need it. You're going to need lots of energy." Bo smiled back.

"Are we going to make love for breakfast?." Lauren asked as she poured a few glasses of orange juice.

"No. But I have big plans for today." Bo replied as she took her seat after the doctor did.

"What's going on, Bo? You seem so calm yet anxious." Lauren frowned.

"No, sweetie, it's nothing bad. It is nothing that will hurt you. I promise." Bo shook her head. She had started this conversation all wrong. It was as if the doctor was reading her aura or reading the mood in the room.

"Ok. Then what?." Lauren asked.

"Last night as you slept, I made a decision. Given Evony and Aife's plans regarding you and my bloodline, I have decided to accept the throne as Queen. Trick doesn't know about it, yet, but he can't stop me. I will be Queen by the end of the day. I know where their throne room is. It is probably old and dusty, but you will be my Queen. You won't have to sit on the throne all day. I will make it a rule between us and the world that you are a doctor first. I am not stripping you of that love." Bo spoke assuredly. It was even shocking to the doctor of the confidence in her voice.

"Are you sure about this? I don't need your protection Bo, I can take care of myself. If that's what this is about." Lauren set her fork down.

"Not at all. You don't need my protection. You have my love. That's all that they need to know. That they need to respect. That will stop any current plans or future enemies from thinking they can get to me through you. That they can get to you at all. I often fear what I am under my succubus control but I will release her at the slightest hint of Fae bullshit being planned against you." Bo took a few bites of food and waited for Lauren to talk again. She smiled as she watched the doctor think in her head. The pros. The cons. The what ifs. The whys. "I found a tailor. She will be coming this afternoon. I am not sure if you are going to work or staying home but your robes and crown can be made at your own convenience. As for me, mine must be made immediately. Otherwise, they won't take me seriously. But yes, I am serious about this. I want you to have a good life. This is my small contribution to assure that. I am not sure if I will be paid for being Queen but that doesn't matter. I've never needed money to get by. As we both know." Bo smiled as she looked at her hand flashing orange and back to normal. "I will need to go a little dark for this Lauren. But know that I love you and it's all for show. When we come home, it's just that, home. I will love and want to hear about your day. The ups and downs. All of it. I will never be too busy for you."

The blonde smiled. She looked at the clock and realized it was getting later and later. She had a few unofficial consultations with some old colleagues. "I better get at it."

Bo nodded and started eating her food. This is good. She took a drink and looked at the blonde. They are growing in places she didn't think that they needed to or could. She's seen so many married human couples that she thought this is what their lives must be like. Getting up. Having breakfast and going off and doing whatever they do. She thought about taking the throne and everything that goes with that. Her robes. Her crowns. They must be gorgeous because she will assure that Lauren's are. She pushed her food around her plate in order to eat everything in bites.

When they were done, she saw Lauren off and returned to clean up the place. She looked around and wondered if she wanted to stay there. If it's suitable for the doctor's wants and needs. She knows the heinous details that Lauren has to witness being a doctor. Blood and lots of it. She needs something to come home to that will take her mind off of that. A sauna? A massage chair? A small gym to work out in? That's it. As Queen, Lauren will have all of that. Bo rubbed her hands together and got herself together. Once she looked like she wanted to, she locked up and left. When she climbed into her car, she cringed at the creaks that the old thing made. That will have to change. She won't buy a new one, she will just have this one fixed. Every piece of rust. Every piece of broken paint will be renewed. But first, she had other plans. She drove until she parked.

Grabbing her jacket, she pulled it on and walked into the Dal. She smiled seeing the usuals there. "Good." Brown eyes rolled over into blue.

The change in the succubus could be felt in the entire building. "Bo?." Trick called out.

"Now, is that what you called your wife?." A small smile rose on the brunette.

"No. It can't be. You can't be." Trick gulped.

"I am. I am your Queen. Still your granddaughter, but your Queen." The succubus licked her lips.

"Bo? What have you done?." Dyson rose from his chair.

"Now, dog, I know you don't want to fuck with me. Not after I brought your sorry ass back. Sit down and be the Blood King pet that you are, or I will take the air out of those centuries old lungs." Bo pointed and didn't wait for Dyson to respond. "As I was saying, I am your Queen. The thrones that you sat on now belong to me and Lauren. I do hope someone has this on Facetime. It would be bad to have to repeat myself for the third time.

In short, I am Light. I am Dark. I am, well, everything." Blue eyes shattered a mirror the succubus had been staring into.

"Isabeau, if you do this, everyone will know that I am the Blood King." Trick groaned.

"So? That's not my problem. You should be proud of who you are and not a sniveling coward." The succubus laughed.

"I'll call Lauren." Kenzi pulled her phone out.

"Ahhh. Her human. That proclamation protects you from the Fae. It doesn't actually protect you from me since I am in Bo's body. Now, be a good little tool and put that phone down. It would be deathly foolish for you to disturb my love." The brunette gave off a warm breeze from her body. Her hair was almost on fire as she spoke. "Besides, I already told her that I will go dark to claim my throne. Now, Blood King, fix it up. Make it suitable for our asses to sit on at any given time. I shall return. Do not disappoint me."

Trick grabbed his tie and pushed it from side to side. He had never seen that before. Even when she brought Dyson back from death, the building hadn't moved like that before. The Morrigan and Aife's fighting to protect Lauren has brought out her true protector.

Bo sat in her car and waited for her brown eyes to return. "That was cool." She smiled and started the engine. She drove and parked again. "This old thing needs a complete makeover. I want the same colors, too. Now, get busy and do not disappoint me." She sat on a bench, just outside of an auto dealership.

"Ma'am, that would take hours. Possibly days to complete." A man rambled.

Bo rolled her eyes and stood. "You will do as I ask within two hours." She smiled as she touched two men's hands. She sat and watched them move at rapid speed. "Lauren's done riding with me in that thing as long as it looks like that."

Lauren

"Are you really shutting this clinic down?." The blonde asked.

"We are. I have been a doctor for over 50 years. Mildred is getting older. We need to spend time together. You know time waits for nothing." The old doctor rubbed his chin.

"Stanley? You're leaving too?." Lauren asked.

"I have to if the clinic is shut down. A lot of our patients know the old man is leaving and are looking for a new doctor. I'm still fairly new here. I can't make them stay." Stanley replied.

"Don't shut it down. I would love to come and work here. Under Stanley of course." Lauren smiled.

"Don't be silly and don't insult yourself, Dr. Lewis. You know you would and could easily be the new Medical Director." Stanley toasted the blonde with a glass in his hand.

"I would be new here. You've been here longer. You have seniority." Lauren spoke softly.

"You have more years in the field than I do. I wouldn't dream or pretend to know more than you. If you want to come on, I can and will certainly stay." Stanley looked to his right. "Sir?."

"If you want my job, old girl, you have it." The old doctor smiled, and they all toasted to the future. "Dr. Lewis, how has anyone not scooped you up yet?."

"She has. I have a girlfriend." Lauren smiled.

"She's a lucky woman." Stanley smiled.

"Enough. Enough. Thank you and let's iron out the details. Who's a good nurse? Who isn't?." Lauren sat her glass down and picked her pen up.

When her meeting was over. She stood and looked around the clinic. This is hers now. She didn't need any Fae favors. She just needed her brains and her hands to get the MD position. This is hers. Her doing. No bowing to anyone. She owes nobody but herself for this. She owes it to herself to get those patients back and they will come once she's started treating the patients that walk into her doors. Bo is going for the throne, and Lauren is going for her stethoscope when she's not on the throne with the succubus. They will have to talk about the hours and what not but other than that, this will be great. She smiled as she locked the place up. She turned and breathed in the air surrounding the building. It was wonderful.

"Going my way?." A soft voice followed a car horn.

"Bo!? It's beautiful!." Lauren grabbed her jaw as she looked at Bo's car. It had been completely redone.

"It goes faster now, too." Bo laughed as she held the door to help Lauren inside. The doctor took in the new car smell in the old vehicle. "I thought we could grab a late lunch."

"Ohh, I am hungry, too." Lauren rubbed her stomach and Bo laughed at the sight.

The succubus started the car and pulled away from the curb. "Shall we talk?!." Lauren asked excitedly.

"Let me guess, that's your clinic now?." Bo smiled as she squeezed the woman's hand.

"It is. The old Medical Director is stepping down. They have lost a few patients because of that and I asked to join the staff. After a few points were made, I accepted the Medical Director position!." Lauren rubbed her hands together and let one go when Bo grabbed it.

"Lauren, I am so proud of you." Bo gently kissed the woman's hand. "You went out and found your own job. Your own thing without the help of anyone. I would have helped but since I can't help you operate, I certainly can't help you doctor anyone.

"That brings up you taking the throne." Lauren winced in fear of what is to come out of Bo's mouth.

"We will be on the throne in the mornings and not a moment after that. You will be free to go to work and work as long as your heart desires. I will be a swift and thorough Queen. Once I order something or make a law, it will be followed. They all know I don't need to go anywhere to make my presence felt. So, yes, doctor. I am fine with you running your own clinic. In fact, I prefer that you work. I don't want to keep you as a housewife. That is not your calling. Science is. Emergencies will happen. That's just life. That's science. Emergencies are sure to happen often with the Fae too, but not too many once I take the throne for the first time."

Lauren smiled. Just by sitting next to the brunette, she knew the succubus had come and gone. That's probably why Bo is so confident. She's already announced her plans to Trick, Dyson and Kenzi. Aife and Evony are still out there but the old succubus won't have a problem with her own being in control. Will it be messy? Yes. But it would be worse if Bo didn't do something to put the Fae on notice. To stop the bullshit. To stop plotting things for and against them. "I am happy for you, Bo. I am also proud of you. That you know this is the right thing to do to stop future chaos from happening. You are a Fae like they have never seen before. A Fae other than your mother, never saw coming. We may have forgotten each other but we came back to each other for this time. For this moment. I am free to be a doctor without restraints and we are going to be Queens of the Fae. It is good that I am a human. I can tell when a human would suffer with whatever the Fae try against them. But with you on the throne, it is a whole new world. A whole new life."

"Thank you." Bo spoke softly as she pulled to a stop. "I have decided on our robes. If you care to know right now."

"I do." Lauren nudged the woman.

"Well, since I am Light and Dark, I decided mine will be all black. Black with white diamonds. Yours will be white with white diamonds. I picked white because doctors wear white and you are nothing like the darkness that can and will be inside of me, should any occasion call for it." Bo bit her lip. She was getting aroused just thinking of Lauren dressed like that.

"That's wonderful, Bo. I am touched that you put that much thought into my robe. I am sure you have planned for both of us to be present when our crowns are created." Lauren smiled. White? Awww.

"It's not set in stone. If you want something else. All you have to do is to tell me. I will do whatever you want. I meant that when I said it months ago. I would do anything for you Lauren. If you don't want me to take the throne, I won't. I just think things would settle down with me on it. Daughter of the Dark. Granddaughter of the Light. Sounds like fanfiction. Just tell me babe." Bo almost whispered.

"Nothing you have said brings me anything but anticipation. This is going to be good. Good for everyone. Like you just said, you are both. You will protect humans without ever having to think about it. That's what concerned me about any Fae before I met you. They would kill without hesitation." Lauren wiped a tear away thinking of how many have died because of the Fae and for no reason other than Fae thinking they are superior. The same way Dyson used to treat her. A way he still does. Especially how he looks at Bo. She could say it's his mate with Bo, but he looked at all women like that before he ever met the succubus. Except Lauren. She knew the Ash before she knew the wolf. That's why nobody knew about Nadia for all those years.

"You and I both know those days are over. The other Fae will come to know it, too. I'm done playing with the bullshit. They will see the Queen on the throne and you will see me. All of of me. I pulled a plan out of thin air and my succubus agreed. My eyes will turn blue any time that I need to be Queen, on or off the throne, and all the while I will be in control. She loves scaring the shit out of people and that benefits all of us." Bo smiled as she turned into a parking lot. "I'm hungry for burgers and fries."

Lauren smiled and climbed out of the car. "Are you scared of her, Bo?."

"It's nothing like that. We know what we want and that is a long, long time with you. If she didn't she could have killed you by now. That used to scare me, but it doesn't anymore. It didn't again after our first time. The second time, I made sure to lean over and check to make sure she was still protecting you and she did. It's all over babe. We are yours and you are ours. Now, My Queen, if you will." Bo bowed and allowed Lauren to enter the restaurant first. She sat down with a confidence she had never known. The love of their life sat just across from them. As their love. As their Queen. As their everything.
