Pre- Canon and Pre-Hazbin a What-if Throwing an amnesiac Charlie into the world of FFXIV and is it Warrior of Light. This is her tale as she tries to regain her memory and find a way back. Please note that this will have spoilers for future expansions of FFXIV up to Dawntrail. Buckle in, people; this is going to be a long ride

So this has been eating at me for weeks, mainly due to getting back into FFXIV. The original idea was shoehorning in my WoL into the Hazbin plot because I love two series crossing over, and the WoL would be perfect. But then I had another thought: take Charlie, throw her into the FFXIV universe, and then bring her back to Hazbin eventually. A What-If in between the time Lilth Left Lucifer and before Charlie met Vaggie. Also to note, because we know in FFXIV, time moves differently in between different shards, yeah, that is happening here. So, say if Charlie is in Eithrys for like 5-10 years, then it would be like a few months to a year in her home note to make this easier on myself; this will likely go up to Danwtrail, meaning anything past 7.0 for now will be covered later, maybe post-Hazbin or in Between. Otherwise, please enjoy the crazy idea of an author wanting to make another weird Crossover.

For as long as Charlie could remember, she had been haunted by a series of dreams. It started when she was barely a toddler, perhaps even earlier than her mind could recall, in a world she had never seen or heard about. Yet felt so familiar that she could recall the place name by heart with a sense of warmth. The dreams always began the same way: a land that seemed like something out of a story her father had read to her as a child. Gorgeous blue skies stretched endlessly, with the warmth of the sun beaming down. Fertile green lands expanded for ages, filled with all sorts of flora and fauna none she had ever seen in her life. And a society of people who honored progress and unity, striving to create a paradise. If she hadn't heard the actual stories of Heaven, she would have mistaken it for that.

The people in her dreams wore black cloaks with hoods and masks. Mostly white, but for others, they had different designs; it was customary to keep the mask on, and she rarely saw the faces beneath. The most notable aspect was their height; they towered over her, around 19-24 feet tall. She felt like a child next to them. They enjoyed creating things, much like the Book of Hell describes how God made her mother from elements like dust or rope. Entire species, flora, fauna, and other things. It wasn't just one person or the individuals with different masks; anyone could create with a little skill.

She cherished all the elements of the dream that brought her so much joy: the people, the land, and the creations they made that they created. As a child, she drew many of them in hopes that her parents would recognize them. They never did; they just thought it was her overactive imagination or something from her books. These peaceful dreams never lasted, sadly, as soon as they turned more and more terrifying. A once peaceful city was overrun by flames after blue skies turned a familiar hellish red. Animals and plants were reduced to nothing but ashes and bones. In the chaos, people fled as creatures she had never seen before senselessly killed or, more horrifically, ate them alive as they screamed and fled. A flash of light engulfed it all, waking her up, and she screamed in terror before her parents rushed in.

They reassured her that it was all a nightmare. They would tell her that these creatures weren't real and none matched hell's, heaven's, or even earth's creations. She'd believe them, but the haunting nightmares would never leave. It eventually became so routine that she woke up without the need to scream. Instead, she stared at the ceiling as her heart calmed down from the terrifying sight. These nightdreams persisted, though they became rarer as she grew. She wondered if it was due to the exterminations like her parents as her mind tried to make sense of the day of the year she dreaded the most.

The screams of sinners as they fled the Exorcist came down with little mercy. Her nightdream creatures were often quiet, occasionally roaring. Nothing like the exorcists who enjoyed what they did so much that it made her sick. She learned to live with both. Though one faded away as a remnant of dreams, the other was much more real, and she wanted to stop it. So she planned what she could do to stop the suffering and form a union between their two realms, not one bonded by bloodshed.

As her Aunt Belphagor taught her, sometimes dreams and nightmares should not be ignored. And as if to remind her of Aunt Belphagor's teachings, familiar nightdreams reappeared again; however, this time, a new voice joined in.

Hear. Feel. Think.

The current plan job-wise is the following: Bard (It Charlie what did you expect), Dragoon ( mainly due to her pitchfork and Razzle/Dazzle), White Mage (Angelic side and want to heal/help others), Paladin (Based on both the shield she uses and Angelic side), Dark Knight (catalyst for the story plus a representation of demon heritage), Astrologian (Fit in with her name and upgrade of using the Stars), Dancer (again see Bard she loves Singing and Dancing), Pictomancer ( The Girl loves to draw give her better ability to do so dang it!) Red Mage (Combining both Angelic and Demonic magic to create decent DPS!). If you have suggestions for other Jobs please feel free to leave them!
