Mike vs. Jushin "Thunder" Liger
Summary: This next match is the MAIN EVENT! Mike Smith will once again defend the TDW World Heavyweight Championship against Jushin "Thunder" Liger this time.

The fans were ready for the main event.
"Welcome back fans, Scott Callaway defeated "The Storm" Lightning Jackson to earn the right to challenge for the Hardcore Championship." JR said.
"JR! The crowd was going nuts!" Mauro said to JR.
"Indeed they were, Mauro… but I think they're going to get even more wild since tonight's main event is about to happen!" JR said to Mauro.
"That's right! Jushin "Thunder" Liger is here to challenge Mike Smith for the TDW World Heavyweight Championship." Mauro said before the bell rang and the cameras went to the ring.
"Milan, Italy! This is your TDW main event! It's set for one-fall… and it is for… the Total Drama Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship!" Justin Roberts announced causing the crowd to roar with loud cheers, before "Ikari No Jyushin" by Yumi Hiroki began to play before he came out to loud cheers from the crowd.
"Introducing the challenger first… from Tokyo, Japan… weighing in at 210 pounds… he is a former 11 time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion… he is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all-time! He is Jushin "Thunder" Liger!" Justin Roberts announced.
"Jushin Liger is indeed one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time! He innovated the Shooting Star Press, he has also wrestled over 4,000 matches, and this one will be no different." Mauro said to JR.
"That's right, because not only he'll wrestle the current TDW World Heavyweight Champion… but the gold is on the line in this match!" JR said to Mauro.
"Mike Smith has one of the biggest challenges yet, as he's about to face one of the greatest in professional wrestling!" Mauro said before "Demons" by Imagine Dragons began to play as Mike Smith came out to the crowd loud cheers as well.
"Introducing his opponent, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada… weighing in at 220 Pounds… the current, reigning, and defending TDW World Heavyweight Champion… Mike Smith!" Justin Roberts announced.
"Mike Smith is without a doubt one of the best wrestlers not only in TDW but also on the planet… he also has Italian heritage in his family so he has a bigger advantage I think, against Jushin "Thunder" Liger." Mike said to JR.
"You got that right! He has fought in many matches throughout his time in TDW! And now, he is facing one of the greatest wrestlers in professional wrestling history, defending the TDW World Heavyweight championship here tonight." JR said to Mauro.
"This will be his third defense of the TDW World Heavyweight Championship, being successful against Tyler Helms at Road to Redemption, and last week in Glasgow against Jacques Grenier!" Mauro said to JR.
"That is right but he is defending that title against one of the GOATs in pro wrestling history." JR said before Mike entered the ring, standing up on one of the turnbuckles before lifting his title up high to the fans as he soon dropped to the ring and handed his belt to the referee, who raised the belt up high, before the bell rang signaling that the match was underway, as the two shook hands, before then the action started with them grappling in the collar and elbow tie up.
"Both men showing a sign of respect before applying the collar and elbow tie up to each other." Mauro said before Mike and Justin "Thunder" Liger struggled to take the first advantage before Liger won it, locking in a head lock before following it up with a Liger Suplex which is a bridging leg lift belly-to-back Suplex.
"Liger Suplex with a bridge!" JR said before the ref began to count.
"1…!" The ref counted before Mike kicked out at one before he then did the La Magistral pin to Jushin, as the ref counted again.
"1…!" The ref counted before Jushin then kicked out at one before the two were at a standstill once again before the crowd cheered.
"This is awesome! This is awesome! This is awesome!" The crowd chanted loudly.
"It seems Mike and Justin are winning the crowd over already!" JR said while Mike and Justin smiled before returning their focus to the match, beginning to land jabs and blows to each other, as Mike nailed an arm drag, before Jushin responded with a spinning heel kick to his head.
"Oh! Spinning Heel kick by Jushin!" Mauro said before Jushin Irish-whipped Mike to the corner before nailing running clothesline to the champion, then followed that up with Jushin nailing a Frankensteiner from the top turnbuckle to Mike.
"OHHHHH!" The crowd shouted in shock while they cheered as well.
"Mamma Mia An avalanche Frankensteiner to the TDW World Heavyweight Champion! This could be it!" Mauro said before Jushin pinned Mike.
"1…! 2…!" The ref counted before Mike kicked out.
"Mike is still alive in this match!" JR said before Jushin then attempted the Crash Thunder Buster aka the belly-to-back lifting Facebuster on Mike who landed on his feet before nailing a German Suplex to Jushin.
"German Suplex by Mike!" JR said to Mauro.
"The TDW World Champion is still going!" Mauro said before Mike soon delivered a running clothesline to Jushin before following it up with a springboard moonsault to Jushin as he soon lifted him up onto the turnbuckle, positioning him for a hurricanrana, but Jushin blocked it and nailed an avalanche Liger Bomb from the top rope.
"AH! MAMMA MIA!" Mauro shouted.
"Super Liger Bomb by Jushin "Thunder" Liger!" JR shouted before Jushin pinned Mike again.
"1…! 2…!" The ref counted before Mike kicked out, Jushin then attempted another Liger Bomb but Mike nailed punches to Jushin before he got off and then nailed a standing shooting star press.
"Mike stopped Jushin from attempting another Liger Bomb and quickly delivered a standing shooting star press!" Mauro shouted before Mike soon lifted Jushin to his knee as he began deliver a barrage of shoot kicks all over Jushin's chest, honoring Daniel Bryan with the famous "Yes kicks".
"Mike Smith with many shoot kicks to the chest paying tribute to the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan." JR said while Mike kept going, kicking Jushin's chest, before he nailed a hard shoot kick to his head, before nailing the Northern Lights Bomb which is a scoop brainbuster, before following that up with a brutal Half Nelson Suplex, before he went up to the top turnbuckle, and nailed the Sicilian Splash which is an inverted Phoenix Splash to Jushin.
"Mamma Mia! An onslaught of moves by the TDW World Champion!" Mauro shouted before Mike then pinned Jushin down before the referee began the count.
"1…! 2…!" The ref counted before Jushin managed to kicked out.
"It's not over for Jushin "Thunder" Liger!" JR said before Mike sighed before he soon lifted Jushin up to his feet, hoping to land another Northern Lights Bomb but Jushin reverse it and nailed a Brainbuster to Mike.
"Brainbuster by Jushin "Thunder" Liger!" Mauro said before Jushin then gets to the top rope, before nailing the Shooting Star Press.
"Shooting Star Press made famous by Jushin "Thunder" Liger!" JR said while the crowd were all roaring in total excitement as Jushin pinned Mike.
"There's the cover!" Mauro shouted before the ref began the count.
"1…! 2…!" The ref counted before Jushin stopped his own pin attempt.
"What is Jushin doing?" JR asked while Jushin "Thunder" Liger went back up to the top turnbuckle, and attempted the Shooting Star Press once again before Mike moved out of the way.
"OHHHHH!" The crowd groaned in shock once more.
"OH! Mike moved out of the way!" Mauro shouted.
"Mike Smith is very lucky that Jushin didn't connect, with that shooting star press." JR said before Mike then nailed the Terminato which is a Handspring Cutter not once, not twice, not three times but four times, before nailing another Sicilian Splash to Jushin.
"OHHHH!" The crowd groaned.
"Mike Smith with four Terminatos and another Sicilian Splash!" Mauro said before Mike pinned Jushin.
"1…! 2…! 3…!" The ref counted before the crowd roared while the bell rang, as the match ended, with Mike retaining the TDW World Heavyweight Championship.
"Mike wins!" Mauro shouted.
"Your winner of this match and still the TDW World Heavyweight Champion… Mike Smith!" Justin Roberts announced while the referee handed Mike his title before lifting his arm up in victory before he soon held his hand out for Jushin 'Thunder' Liger then the two shook hands, as a sign of respect, to cheers from the crowd.
"What a class act… from both men." JR said before Mike raised Jushin's hand, as Zoey Mike's girlfriend came out and entered the ring, while Jushin raised Mike's hand, as Mike and Zoey had a hug and kiss moment causing the crowd to roar even louder.
"Mike and Jushin showed off their best effort but in the end, Mike managed to pull off a big victory over the legendary Justin 'Thunder' Liger, retaining his TDW World Heavyweight Championship." Mauro said.
"For Mauro Ranallo, I'm Jim Ross signing off, we'll see you next week live from San Antonio, Texas… goodnight everyone." JR said before the camera faded to black ending this episode.
