After the ceremony ended, everyone went off to their respective dorm rooms or hung around in the middle of the night. Meanwhile, JNPR and RWBY emerged out of the Amphitheater with Daniel following behind.

The entire team looked exhausted, with Nora and Yang still looking chipper. Yang had pulled out her scroll to see a message on it.

"You guys can on ahead of me. I got some business to take care~!" Yang elated while she rushed off.

"Yang! Urghhh…!"

"Ren, Ren…! Can you make your pancakes in the dorm room!?" Nora eagerly awaiting his response.

Ren tiredly replied,

"...Nora, it's already so late, and I doubt they'll let us cook in our dorm room."

"Wait, did we need to bring our luggage to the dorms…?" Jaune cautiously asked.

As he finished asking, all except Daniel got a notification stating that their luggage had been carried to their assigned rooms.

"That answers it…" Jaune sighed in relief before yawning.

"We all deserve a good night's rest." Pyrrha taking the initiative. "Should we retire?"

"Yes." All of them collectively said. Weiss continued as she groaned, "Urghh, I need a nice bath."

"I'm still going strong…!" Nora interjected.

All stared at her blankly, which made her laugh awkwardly. Afterward, they entered their respective dorms, waiting for the next day.

Unfortunately, Daniel had to walk to the other side of the dorms, and the pain in his abdomen was still present. Upon reaching the door and opening it, he dropped to the floor and groaned while curling into a ball. It felt like hours for him when in reality it was around half an hour. In his anguish, he chanted,

"I-I r-rebuke you, evil spirits- in… the name of Y-Yeshua…!"

A wave of relief came crashing down, the pain subsiding at a constant rate. Allowing the struggling Daniel to crawl over to the door and close it. Catching his breath, he got on his knees and the pain dissipated.

"That has to be the worst timing… Ever…"

Afterward, he grabbed his bath essentials, his toothpaste and tooth powder, albeit shakily. Slightly limping over to the bathroom, only to see someone lying on the couch.

"...Oh, you got to be kidding me… Yang…?"

She seemed to be conked out and there was a terrible stench of alcohol that made Daniel gag. He held his breath until he entered the bathroom. Brushing his teeth like no tomorrow, like his life depended on it. The other men in the bathroom were whipping each other with towels and making loud noises. What only mattered in the moment was finishing up rinsing his mouth and bolting out of the sausage room.

Upon exiting, he noticed Yang not on the couch anymore and scanned the area to no avail. He took a whiff of the air and seemed to notice the smell going in the direction of the Huntsmen dorm side.

"At least, she doesn't seem to be a lost drunk that I have to take care of." He sighed.

Retiring to his dorm room, he promptly got into his sleeping bag and made himself comfortable. It felt more comfortable than usual, so he fell asleep soundly.

He soon fell into a dream where everything fell into a blur. Glimpses of fights, fire, Grimm, and multiple locations seemingly around Beacon and Vale. Anyone he could perceive were shadowy figures looming around at different locations. Grimm flooding the streets of Vale and the campus of Beacon. He watched as someone got stabbed in their stomach; shadowy figures being torn shreds from Beowolves; figures fighting each other as guns are being shot and weapons clashing.

All of it was overwhelming and mind-numbing as he held his head in agony. Then moments later it fell to silence and he lifted his head to see a blank room. He looked around and saw himself being held by the throat by a shadowy figure's hand. Picking himself off the ground, he rushed toward the figure before he saw himself being set on fire. This, in turn, also set him on fire and he cried in pain. In the end, succumbing to the pain he fell to the ground.

"Your… faith guides you… Memory is the-"

Daniel jerked himself up from his sleeping in a cold sweat, frantically looking around. Wiping off the sweat, he grabbed his scroll to see the time was 6:25 AM.

"You've got to be kidding me… If only I didn't have that dream I could have slept in more…" He groaned.

There were some notifications from Howard about the initiation from yesterday. He replied back to them that it went well and heading back. Daniel knew the classes were later into the day. Gathering his bathroom essentials and a change of clothes to freshen up.

At 7:00 AM, he finished getting dressed into more civilian clothing consisting of a black leather jacket, blue jeans, a beige shirt, and hiking boots. He went off to the mess hall to see if there was food. Upon exiting the dorm building, he could feel the cool breeze of Vale and soaked it all in. Holding out his hand, he made some aviator sunglasses appear from a flash of lightning before heading out.

Making it over to the mess hall, he promptly grabbed a bowl of yogurt with a bunch of fruit, waffles, and sausages. Demolishing the entire plate entourage at hand, including swift sips of water to wash it down. Afterward, he put away his tray and quietly went over to the landing pads.

As he hastily made way to the bullhead, a particular voice stopped him,

"Well, it seems someone is eager to leave all dressed up."

Jerking his head to the sudden call out, Daniel noticed Professor Ozpin with his cane and cup of hot chocolate in hand.

"Do you enjoy creeping up on people?" Daniel sarcastically stated.

"I always seem to be there at the wrong times it seems." Ozpin jokingly said, "I actually want to have a small conversation with you."

"...Okay?"

"Mutiple certificates to skip most of the classes here at Beacon, a locally known supply runner and caravanner, and third place at the Mistral Regional three times in a row. Impressive amount of achievements for a young man like you."

"Thanks… It was… tiring if I'm going to be real with you. What do I get a cookie for that?"

"But we already have those in the mess hall." Ozpin joyfully replied.

"Could we actually get on with your purpose talking to me, professor? You and I are both busy."

"A little small talk doesn't hurt, but I will respect your time." Ozpin relenting, "I wanted to ask why you didn't you choose to be a Huntsman?"

"You couldn't save him…"

"I think our conversation is done here." Daniel stated rudely.

"Oh, well, it was pleasant to hear from Gerald's adopted son." Ozpin stated as he turned around.

An emotional gut punch almost made him erupt out to Ozpin. Luckily, the bullhead started to fly off and he physically held his mouth shut.

"Note to self, stay away from him at all costs." Daniel whispered.

At 7 AM, Weiss arose from her bed, stretching and yawning in her light blue nightgown. Only to be eviscerated with Ruby by the right side of her ear blowing a whistle. Weiss flopped to the floor and Ruby giddily said,

"Good morning, Team RWBY!"

"What is wrong with you!? This is early in the morning?!" Weiss cried out while picking herself up.

"Now that you're awake, it's time to…" Ruby holding a box filled with knickknacks, "DECORATE!"

"Wheeww… Urgh." Yang groggily said from bed.

"Oh, huh… uh, yippie…?" Blake said shyly as she teetered away.

Scanning the room, she noticed Ruby already in her uniform with her cape and full-length black stockings. Blake was also dressed in her school uniform and long black socks. Yang was dragged to the floor by Ruby, making the blonde slowly get up. Reading the room, Weiss went over to her suitcase with her uniform.

"After Weiss and Yang get dressed up, we gotta deck this room to the fullest! It'll be a good way for us to understand each other."

"Uh, no." Weiss bluntly said as she fixed her hair into a ponytail. "That's a job for servants to take care of."

"I want to… But I'm too hungover from last night…"

Blake was still teetering and heading towards the door. In response, Ruby first dragged Blake back from the door and replied,

"Think of it this way: we're gonna have to finish it eventually, and it's better to get it done now than later. Blake, wouldn't you like to be able to have your books on those shelves with ease in your downtime? Weiss, wouldn't you want the room to be presentable and pristine, to your preference? Yang, those hair products of yours could possibly be stepped on, considering how careless you are."

"Fine…" The other three collectively sighed.

"Now, let's say Banzai together!" Ruby cried out, getting ready to throw up her arm.

"Banzai…!" All, but Ruby, weakly said.

With all that, RWBY started rearranging the room with a lot of bickering over space and decoration placements. At some point, Ruby used Crescent Rose to put up the curtains near the window but sheared it after turning around.

"You absolute dolt!" Weiss exclaimed.

"Uh, oops…"

"Hey, don't put your clothes over my books." Blake said as she removed the apparel from her collection.

"M-My bad…" Yang groaned.

Enough time passed and their dorm has been decorated with sketchy bunk beds to boot; Ruby's hanging over Weiss's bed and Yang's bed on a stack of books on the corners of Blake's bed. Moving on, Weiss checked the time on her scroll before shrieking,

"It's 8:55!? We're LATE!"

Without giving the others a chance to react, Weiss bolted it out of the room and then a few seconds later, the rest followed suit. Team JNPR noticed the frantic noise as they heard Weiss's scream too. At a moment's notice, they follow them too in a haste.

Outside on campus, Glynda and Ozpin coincidentally see the two teams rushing off to class. Ozpin took a sip from his mug and Glynda noted while looking at her watch,

"And that makes five teams being late to class…"
