BIHP 59: the return

Beep…. Beep… beeep… the heart monitor rhythm was caught by her and woke her up… the bright light of the ceiling lights - "so bright 5 minutes more…"- she complained before her eyes opened entirely as she got up. She touched her face she didn't feel tired at all… She was cured… Chiaki was cured.

"So you finally woke up"- she heard as she looked at Izuru who had cut his hair so it only got to his mid back/ upper back he was reading a book - "Izuru?"- he then smiled softly - "if you want you can also call me Hajime since my memories came back as well" -he said pointing at his head - "not that there are too many memories honestly, I was what 6 to 7 years when I was turned" - he said as he closed the book he was reading, but Chiaki's eyes were widened over his explanation - "so how are you feeling?" - Izuru asked and Chiaki smiled softly - "I feel great… I must have worried all of you" - she said before he stood and walked to her - "of course I was worried… ever since you fell asleep under the sleeping beauty poison and the Av I went crazy trying to find a solution and cure. At first, I didn't understand why I felt so inclined to save you… but then I noticed it"- he then softly held the side of her face while looking at her eyes directly - "I believe I love you Chiaki Nanami"- her eyes then extremely widened - "of course… just because I have feelings for you, doesn't mean…."

But before he could say anything else Chiaki jumped to him kissing him deeply. Izuru's eyes widened, he didn't understand why, but it felt great. After the kiss ended she looked at him pouting - "You can't simply tell me that and then take it back. You told me you love me, so take responsibility" - Chiaki said and Izuru smiled softly before he kissed her back - "of course, I will, Chiaki I love you" - she then started tearing up a bit - "I love you too Hajime"- they then looked at each other with love.

And they kissed.

Kyoko, Usagi (on Makoto's head), and Makoto were walking to the hospital to visit both Chiaki and\ Sayaka. They had been informed of Chiaki's condition from Hajime as soon as she woke up and they wanted to see her. Makoto and Kyoko finally arrived at the hospital only to see it like always overrun by Sayaka fans who after looking at Makoto getting close started screaming and booing him. Makoto then laughed a bit while Kyoko sighed annoyed - "wow they really hate me" - he said jokingly and Kyoko sighed again - "they really need better material" - as they started walking to the door the screams increased more and more but once they entered it went full silent, after all the entire hospital was soundproof. They decided to go to where Chiaki was.

They then knocked on the door- "Come in" - they heard her say from the inside. Both of them then entered smiling widely as they saw Chiaki - "good morning big sis" - Makoto said with tears in his eyes, Chiaki then smiled back - "I must have worried you a lot" - Chiaki said while Kyoko hugged her - "we are glad you are back"- she said.

They all then calmed down and sat, Makoto then smelled something and his face turned blushed confusing everyone - "Makoto are you ok?" - they asked making him nervous- "ohh yeah, I'm fine, nothing to worry about … Chiaki I should be asking you if you are ok" - he said with the worst poker face ever. But it was Hajime the one who noticed what was happening - "I see… so either you smelled my scent on her lips or her scent on mine" - he said without any shame on his actions. But on the other hand, the two girls' faces turned red, Kyoko over the fact of their relationship was revealed on the other hand Chiaki was embarrassed over how nonchalant he said it - "I asked her out and she said yes" - he said glad and Makoto looked shocked.

This was the same person who tried to kill him many times, the same one who only showed hatred over him… and yet he knew he now could trust in him with his very life,.. he had changed for the better. Makoto then smiled softly - "I'm glad for both of you"

"So? How are the new lovebirds?" - Sayaka asked a bit excited as Makoto and Kyoko entered the room, they both looked a bit surprised… but then Makoto smiled while Kyoko sighed - "shouldn't you be worrying about your own health?" - Kyoko asked her a bit serious only to make her pout - "staying here is boring!" - she complained, while Makoto laughed slightly - "so what are your plans after this?" - Sayaka asked teasingly, confusing the other 2 teens - "wait you two aren't doing anything?"- she asked shocked.

"Well honestly we don't actually have plans… at least I don't" - Makoto said and Kyoko agreed, only making Sayaka sigh - "Makoto I love you… but remember officially you are with both of us… and Maki. Even against my better judgment. Lately, you have been spending time with me more than the other girls… honestly is making me feel a bit guilty… not much but a bit. And you!" -she said pointing at Kyoko surprising her a bit - "I understand you aren't much of a date type girl, but if you don't try better or I'll make sure to steal him from you" - she scolded both of them, who looked both beet red.

"So as punishment, you two are going on a date right now"- she said and the two were going to complain, but she glared at them with bloodthirst and both gave up and nodded - "great well then have fun!"- she said excited - "Kyoko make sure to tell me all about it" - she said happily and Kyoko's face could not turn redder - "we are going to have a lot of girl talk" - Sayaka smiled and Kyoko started steaming.

Makoto and Kyoko were in a small cafe drinking some tea from Makoto and a cafe from Kyoko. They were both silent as they had no idea what to do, as an extra the entire cafe was staring at Makoto and whispering rumors about him - "I'm sorry, bet you must feel uncomfortable" - he apologized - "no it's ok… I just… aren't accustomed to these types of things" -she said embarrassed. Makoto then noticed how uncomfortable she looked so he paid - "let's go somewhere else"- he said smiling softly and she smiled back, before taking his hand.

Makoto and Kyoko walked around the city going through multiple places, the park, the library, and even tried Karaoke… but no matter where they went it always ended with a lot of people looking at Makoto with either disgust or curiosity. And Makoto noticed that Kyoko was silent.

Eventually, they settled on the top of a ruined building near the ruined areas of the city that got destroyed by Atua's actions - "Sorry… because of me we had so much trouble… I couldn't even make a good date" - he said sadly - "that's not it Makoto…"- she said confusing him before looking directly into his eyes - "Makoto… be honest with me… do you still love me?" - she said, his eyes widened as he heard those words coming from her.

"What? Of course, I do" - he said and she looked sadly - "Makoto… please be honest with me… ever since you came back, I have been feeling that we have been drifting apart more and more… at first it was small but the more time went the more I felt no longer part of your life. You started spending more time with Sayaka, Maki, and even Tsumugi… I can't fight so I understand that during training and mid-battle, you have to coordinate and communicate more with them, which creates a small connection little by little… but even in moments of quiet, you spent more time with them than with me. So be honest with me… please tell me… are you still in love with me… or are you with me… to not hurt my feelings?"

Makoto could feel a knot in his throat. He never knew she was feeling like this…not to say that would be lying… he did indeed feel a little more disconnection with her…but not at this level - "Kyoko… it… it is true that lately we have been… disconnected. And I have been so concentrated lately with all the training, the missions, and the fights. Yes since I came back it has been chaotic a lot… the fight in France, the revelation of me being a vampire to the world… the fight vs the crusader and exorcists. And… me killing Dio"- Kyoko looked sadly as she knew how much having to do that hurt him.

"And lately I have been spending more time with Sayaka… I don't know why but with her I can feel I can talk more about my worries." - Kyoko felt a pain in her chest as she heard this… her fear was turning true - "But I can say that yes…I… love you"- her eyes then widened, and he held her hands - "how… How can you know that's true?"- she asked and Makoto smiled - "because… I know I can't live my life without you. Kyoko, you been with me since the beginning, we have so much history, we have highs and we have lows. In my worst moments, you were always there with me… and honestly, I can't imagine a future without you… I know lately I have been distant…but I think… is because I'm… afraid" - Kyoko looked confused.

"And it's not only with you… is with everyone. We have been through a lot of chaos and danger… but look at the world now"- he said as he pointed to the ruins of the city - "I appreciate all the help all of you have given me… but unlike me… you all could die. Around half the world's population was completely destroyed… You can find danger everywhere and even in the small amount of cities left the fear and anxiety are always constantly there. I guess that is why they all look at me like that. Because they are afraid of any danger at this point" - he said as he sadly looked at the horizon.

"Maybe is because Sayaka can fight I feel more comfortable. But if it was my choice… I would rather fight alone. I would rather you all were safe and even if I had to carry everything myself… I would endure the pain as long as you are safe… so maybe subconsciously I have been trying to distance myself…so you would get out of the danger zone" - he said and she looked sadly as she heard him -"but because I know you guys, I'm sure you would get mad at me if I even tried to do that. So I just hold it in… but I know my feelings for you haven't died at all. Whenever you smile my heart flutters, whenever you feel sad I can feel your pain like it is mine. I love hearing you whenever you talk, and every second I'm with you I can feel my worries go away… even on this disastrous date I loved every second with you. Kyoko… I'm sorry if I caused you pain… I really don't deserve someone like you… I love you. And I always will" - he said as he could see her tears and cry before she giggled - "but you also love Sayaka still" - Makoto's face turned red - "sorry" - he looked like an ashamed little dog but she just shook her head and looked at him - "I don't blame you at all… honestly and this stays between us both… I think I'm also starting to develop feelings for her" - she said a bit embarrassed before looking at Makoto who looked really excited - "really? Thats amazing! Sorry if I'm a bit rude… but so you love her romantically?" - she looked a bit shocked -"Aren't you… a bit jealous?" - she asked and Makoto looked confused - "why would I?"- he asked

"Well, what if both of us… end up dating and forget about you?"- Kyoko asked her brain not able to actually process well… she may be incredibly smart and the 'Ultimate detective' but she was really bad when it came to romance - "well first off if you did that would be cute. And also if you did… I would be happy for you. But seeing how nervous you are then you really like them a lot"- he said smiling happily, which only made her more embarrassed - "Not as much as I like you… and you better promise me to not tell her… I still don't know much about… falling for another girl… especially since I also love you. Damn, I guess I'm like you" - she said while covering her face embarrassed - "hahaha I guess so. But I'm happy for you"- Kyoko then looked at him and kissed him surprising him a bit - "hey still don't forget that we are together… so don't think of even taking it easy" - he then blushed - "I know… I wouldn't dare to"- and they both then kissed passionately.

Makoto woke up the next day and the first thing he noticed was a naked Kyoko in his room. His face turned red as his brain processed all the things they did yesterday… after the kiss, they hung out a bit more… a little more comfortable than before. Once they arrived at the rooms they kept talking until one thing left to another and they kissed again. Overcome by lust they both then had sex for Hours as they wanted more from each other… and only stopped because of exhaustion over multiple hours of lovemaking. He looked embarrassed until a slight soft smile possessed him as he looked at how happy she looked while sleeping… He felt his heart flutter as he looked at her… until she started to wake up as well - "Uhh?"- she then looked at Makoto and a she gave a tired smile - "Morning Makoto"

"Morning Kyoko. I'm a bit surprised. I thought you would act a bit more embarrassed"- he said himself embarrassed over the situation, only to receive a scuffed giggle from her - "Makoto, we have had sex so many times before, I would have thought you would be accustomed to having a naked girl on your bed"- she joked and he looked more embarrassed - "Sorry is just I keep forgetting how beautiful you are"- he said sincerely making her blush, before she kissed him - "Control your words Makoto, or you may be asking more than you can handle"- she said confidently which turned Makoto shy.

"Well, I better take a bath before going to classes… Do not follow me… we both know we won't end up bathing if you do"- She said seductively but seriously, which only made him more and more shy, he had forgotten how confident she was. But it took all his willpower not to follow her… after about 10 minutes she came back wet from the bath… only making it way fucking harder for him not to feel horny. - "I'm done with the bath if you want to take a bath"- Makoto then dashed to the bath surprising and confusing her as he needed a really cold shower, an Ice cold one.

They both arrived at the classroom seeing everyone there. But the confusing part was that they were all surrounding Chihiro's Laptop - "what's happening?" - Makoto asked as they got closer, the others then turned to Makoto with a bit of a worried face, except Junko who looked a bit excited - "What's wrong? Did something happen?" - Leon then walked to him - "Makoto… there's something you need to see… but we need you to please stay calm" - Makoto looked worried, What could have happened? Makoto then looked at the laptop - "around 20 minutes ago, the whole last of the internet received this stream…is going around the world" - Makoto then played the saved stream.

Immediately his eyes widened as he saw a bearlike plush with white and black coloring appear on their screen - "Hello to the Monokuma Show!" - the bear said excitedly as a group of other bears of different colors clapped in the fake audience. Junko saw this a bit surprised… it was her Monokuma - "Today we are introducing the next episode of our story the one and only.

MONOKUMA'S TOURNAMENT OF VAMPIRES…. and others.!" Fufufufu

A large title hits the screen. The Bear Monokuma then reappeared now wearing a Streetfighter Ryu cosplay.

"Thaats right a tournament arc, we needed one, the largest tournament for power thousands of beings joining for the thrill of fight or seeking for rewards!"

The other small bears then started shouting excitedly over his words. Yet although a bit mad... Makoto already knew most of this.

"Now the rules of the tournament…. is a death match! Yeah, we have no interest in fighting until unconscious or giving up... unless is good, but the only way to win is killing your competition! It will be a team bracket type contest and those who win will be rewarded with the power or a Dhampir by our lord Atua!"- Monokuma was excited like a TV showman trying to entertain a crowd… but hearing that name made Makoto a bit mad.

"But that is not the only entertainment, we also have something to do for the viewers. The

Survival gambling! Fufufufu

All surviving cities will participate in a gamble. Each city will have the choice of a max of 2 teams to choose from the ones who beat the preliminaries. It will be first pick first served so you better be quick on the fingers

During your selection, you will be able to choose between 2 Sides.

On the right side, we have... Submission and on the left side we have... Rebellion. You may choose any of them before choosing the contestants you support and depending on which side you choose the rewards are different. Those who will submit to Lord Atua will become servants of the Vampire lord, so if any of your teams win you will be greatly rewarded. And if you lose…. There is no consequence… the benefits of servitude" - his atmosphere then switched to a dark one

"But then we have team Rebellion. This is for those who believe that their so-called freedom is more important than their safety. The ones in this team may also choose their candidates if they win…. Well nothing happens… but if their candidates lose"

They Will Die! Fufufufu

Makoto's eyes widened as he heard this, his blood boiling in anger - "Yes Lord Atua will make sure you all die! So you better make the correct decision, after all, it is your future that is hanging in the lines. Ohh and before I forget, Those who decided not to participate… Well, we will consider you rebellious and losers!"- Monokuma said as he made a L symbol with his hand.

"Ahh and before we leave, to the Vampires who are currently betraying our lordship… you better all participate in the tournament… or we will make sure to punish you in an appropriate matter" - Makoto then started shaking a bit, his bloodlust being released, scaring a lot of the other students - "Makoto calm down man" - Mondo then said slapping his back surprising him a bit and breaking the anger bubble - "I understand your anger… we all feel it… but make sure to send it to the right person"- Makoto and the other looked surprised over how mature Mondo sounded. Makoto then took a heavy breath and smiler.

"Yeah you are right Mondo… the only thing we can do is prepare and fight" - he said and Mondo smiled. Mondo then looked at Chihiro and Taka, Chihiro blushed and Taka nodded. "Ok lets go"

"So how do you feel being back?" - Makoto asked after a couple of days to Chiaki as he cut some apples. Ever since she woke up Hajime hadn't left her side which she didn't complain about since there was so much they still needed to learn about - "Well it feels incredibly weird. Last thing I remember you were the only vampire and our only issues were weird ghouls from the Dr. But Izu… Hajime has explained to me all that has happened. Apparently, there are other vampires, who are kind of your new family. They needed you to awaken their leader… but their leader was actually brainwashing them and he almost took control of you… then suddenly you fully awaken as a vampire which breaks the brainwash… and then Atua was it? He sends the vampires which have almost godlike levels of power to destroy the major cities. And now we have to beat all the vampires and Atua to save everyone… except that the crusaders and neo-exorcist tried to betray us, but you guys won… and all that time I was just sleeping" - she said pouting only to make him smile…

"Well to be honest it was really difficult handling Izuru, he did everything he could to make sure to try to wake you up… But I'm not complaining, since you are back"- he said as she blushed over Hajime's actions - "well changing the subject… what happened to the remaining crusaders and Neo exorcists?" - she asked a bit curious, Makoto then passed her the plate of horribly peeled apple. But even then she was really grateful - "Well is kind of difficult to create a stable government or system to set the rules. However, the leaders of the Ghoul Hunter Association are trying their best to create a set of laws and punishments. Apparently, since the Crusaders haven't technically done anything wrong they will continue as they are, well except the ones who were actively killed during the raid. On the Neo exorcists' side, they are all given a choice, either work under the Ghoul Association or incarceration. Apparently just as the Togami association created Vampire shackles for their powers, they also made it for the AV. So either way they either get a full shutdown power shackle or a limited one with their own Archangel limiting their uses… apparently…if their Archangel partner dies… it sends a poison to kill the exorcist… so is like slavery" - Makoto said a bit disgusted, he understood why they did it… but just didn't like it - "and how are you?" - Chiaki. Makoto then flinched knowing what she meant.

"What do you mean? I'm ok"- he said trying to avoid the conversation, Chiaki then held his hand which were shaking - "your body heals quickly but your soul doesn't Makoto… the pain holding you has become heavier hasn't it?" - Makoto looked down, as his stare looked at the ground - "Makoto… is not your fault… you did what you needed to do to survive" - Makoto then smiled softly - "I know is not my fault… but… I can't deny that all those people were alive, they had families, lovers, friends, and yet now… because of a fucked up domino effect starting from me turning, they are all dead"- Chiaki then looked sadly.

"You know during the days in the laboratory, they did many gruesome things… things that honestly I don't believe any 5-year-old should go through" - he said with a sad smile - "but in all honesty… the days I was most afraid of, weren't when they cut me or anything like that… the days I feared and cried the most were the day they would chain me up"- Chiaki then looked a bit surprised over the revelation, which made him sad smile again - "yeah I know, seems rather tame compared to the other stuff they did to me. But feeling the cold steel on my neck and arms, hearing the sound of the chains as I moved, made me feel trapped, those days were like they were telling me I would never leave… that I didn't deserve freedom and this was going to be my life"- Chiaki then covered her mouth trying her best to hold her tears - "and yet even in my freedom, now more than ever… I feel more chained than ever. I may not have the metal clasps on my arms… but I can still feel the cold… I still feel the weight pulling me down, restricting me from being free…and every day. Every death…makes the chains heavier and heavier and I don't know how long I will be able to carry it anymore. Sis, you are right about me… my body can't break… but I feel that eventually my soul will… and I fear what the consequences of that will happen"

"Makoto have you talked this over with the others? Sayaka, Maki, Kyoko?"- Makoto then smiled sadly - "no… but I think they already know" - Chiaki then hit Makoto hard with a paper fan shocking him - "Chiaki… what the fuck?!" - he screamed shocked - "go right now and talk to Sayaka…right now!"- Makoto looked surprised over her aggressive order, but also noticed she looked mad but also was crying - "wait what?! Why?"

"Makoto you need help, you need to talk to people, and sadly because I've been unavailable for so long I'm not the best person to help you right now… you so you need to talk with Sayaka, Maki, and Kyoko. I'm sorry I can't be of better help… but"- Makoto then hugged her- "thank you, big sis… I love you"- she looked surprised and then hugged back - "I love you too little brother"

John Smith 135: I wouldn't say that I'm tired of this Fanfiction, but I don't know what to expect from it already.

With all Due Respect, but maybe someone will Call me if the Author Writes A New Fanfiction in which Kirigiri Kyoko will be the Main Love Interest, there will Still be a Harem in Yukizome Chisa's Harem.

Honestly, I am trying to make more about Kyoko in this one... but the thing is... I don't know how I feel that writing about her requires a higher level of intelligence than I have now. Kyoko normally is cold and calculative... at least on the exterior. Obviously, she is quite kind and caring... but for me is a difficult balance between the Ultimate detective... and the girl who is in love, and compared with UHA there aren't many scenes she can be in since she doesn't fight...

But well I guess I just have to keep rubbing those 2 brain cells I still have left and try and to whomever reads this... please review if you liked it or if you didn't i like reading either way... and leave suggestions
