Ana,

You have no idea how much it means to see your name in my inbox. I've missed you—more than I can put into words. I've thought about reaching out a hundred times, but I knew if you didn't want to hear from me after what I did, and though it went against everything I wanted to do, I respected your wishes.

I was wrong. About everything. About how I reacted, about what I said, about pushing you away when I should have held on tighter. I let my fear consume me. I let my own demons take over, and in doing so, I hurt you. I can never take that back, but God, Ana, I would do anything to fix it. Anything to prove to you that I regret it with every breath I take.

I love you. I have always loved you, and I will love you for the rest of my life. No amount of time, distance, or mistakes can change that. You are in every thought, every heartbeat, every moment of my existence. And without you, nothing feels right.

You were there for me when I was at my worst, when I felt unworthy of love, and you never let me drown in that darkness. I should have done the same for you. I should have held you. I should have listened. I should have been your safe place, your anchor. But I failed you. And I hate myself for it.

Please, let me make amends. Let me say this to your face.

You can come now, tonight, whenever you want. Escala is exactly as you left it. We can sit and talk—no pressure, no expectations. Just us, figuring this out together. I will clear everything, cancel anything, so we can talk as much as you need.
