Sorry about not posting but a LOT happened and posting was the last thing on my mind, but don't worry I'm still alive! Anyway, TYSM TYSM TYSM to my first ever reviewer, KNinjagoNexoFan47391! Btw did you look at my notes for the last chapter, bc that's actually what I was gonna do! (Oops, spoiler!) Anyway, enjoy!

The next day...

Ok, Ana. You got this, I tell myself.

I glance around at the other kid's projects, and they're all pretty boring. And not to mention nothing compared to mine.

So maybe, my little presentation should be enough to wow them, and then, I'll have the thing I wanted since my very first science fair.

That shiny gold 1st place medal. Then my parents will be proud of me, I'll be super popular and have lots of friends, and everyone will be happy. Okay, maybe I'm being just a bit delusional, but it's what happened to the kid with the volcano last year, so why not me?

That's all if I win.

But enough doubting, the judges are going to be here soon.

And right on cue, here they come, along with a handful of students behind them.

~It's show time Ana~

"Like I promised, my Photac Verison 2 takes it to the next level. You thought a light show was cool?" I threw the Photac up into the air, and press the button. It worked. A fish, made entirely of hard light, sawm around in the air, just like it was supposed too. I got a couple "Oooos" and "awwws" out of it, even the judge looked amazed! But I wasn't done yet! "How about a hard light animal?" I continued. "Ever wanted your own puppy?" I pressed the button again, and the fish changed from it's fishy form to a cute little puppy in an instant. The kind pf puuppy I had dreamed about getting, but my parents had the strictest "no pets" rule in all of Imperium. That won't stop me now though. "Ta-da!" I shout. "I've made sure that my Photac Animal is totally indestructible and safe, the perfect companion for anyone who might ... be lonely." I whisper. This hits way too close to home for me, all my life I felt lonely. Sure I wasn't alone, but what difference did that make? It makes me think. But I can't stop now. I can't lose again. I can't fail again. So, I put on my best smile and finish with style. The judges group together to discuss and...

Was that a smile?!

I did it! I did it! I did it! Plays over and over in my mind. I'm so happy, so ecstatic that I completely zone out to what he's saying. He pulls out that gold mesal, my gold medal and suddenly, my life feels complete. My classmates cheer and shout, and even my photac animal joins in. Finally, this is what I was meant for.

My parents drop by to take some pictures after the fair and tell me how pround they are. " I know we don't say that much." My mom says. That strikes a nerve inside me. So now they care so much about me, now that I've got a shiny medal. "Or ever." I grumble. Serves them right. Then my mom continues. "But now we see that your passion for your studies was all in service of Imperium!" Oh. Maybe I was wrong, I think. Maybe I can finally open up about what I've being doing. But just as I start talking, a familiar yet mysterious voice interrupts.

"Pardon me." It says. But wait, who is it? I look just behind my parents and watch a figure I've idolized my whole life appear.

Dr. LaRow!

So yea, I finally released this thing. I WILL TRY to post more frequently but chances are I might slow down again. Thankfully, I'm on speing break tight now so I have more free time now. See ya :)
