From the far side of the room, through the haze, a familiar sound reached his ears. Snap-hiss.
Harry froze, his heart skipping a beat. He turned toward the source of the noise, his wand still raised. But instead of the comforting blue glow of Luke's lightsaber, a blood-red blade ignited, its malevolent light cutting through the gloom and illuminating the corner of the room.
The figure wielding it stepped forward, the red glow revealing a tall, imposing form clad in dark robes. A mask obscured their face, but the aura of menace was unmistakable.
"Bloody hell," Harry muttered under his breath.
Harry's eyes were wide as saucers, locked on the figure standing across the floor of the cantina. The patrons had scattered at the first sign of danger, tables and chairs overturned in their haste. But the Sith hadn't moved through the scattered debris, not yet. Hooded and cloaked in darkness, the Sith's presence was like a smothering blanket that raised the hair on the back of Harry's neck.
A moment of silence stretched thin, taut as a bowstring, and then—
The Sith's hand shot out, fingers splayed. Harry didn't even have time to raise his eyebrows before an invisible force slammed into him, launching him backward. The world spun, a blur of wooden beams and durasteel walls, and then pain exploded along his spine as he crashed into the far wall. Dust and broken glass rained down around him as he crumpled to the floor.
"Alright, not how I thought this would go," Harry muttered, shaking his head to clear the ringing in his ears. The jolt of pain helped focus his mind. Gripping his wand tighter, he forced himself to his feet, every muscle protesting.
He had faced dark wizards, battled creatures from nightmares, but this … this was new.
The Sith began to advance, lightsaber humming as the crimson blade casted a bloody glow over their shadowed face. Harry took a breath, then snapped his wand up, launching a barrage of spells in quick succession.
"Stupefy! Expelliarmus! Confringo!"
Each spell burst from his wand tip, sizzling through the air. The Sith's movements were a blur, their reflexes as honed as anyone Harry had ever faced. They twisted and turned, managing to avoid each and every spell he threw and for a moment, Harry wondered if his spells could even touch his opponent.
He raised his wand, determination hardening his gaze. "Stupefy!" he shouted, the red jet of light darting toward the Sith.
Even though the Sith moved with impossible speed, this spell moved just a little faster than the others and it was obvious his foe was not going to be able to dodge the attack. However, at the last second the lightsaber came up and deflected the attack. Sparks flew where magic met plasma. The lightsaber a blur as it deflected the spell into a nearby table, splintering it into fragments. They both stared in shock at the lightsaber before his opponent began advancing on Harry, this time more confidently. Harry barely had time to process this before he launched another spell. "Diffindo!" he shouted, slashing his wand through the air. The cutting charm carved a gash through the air narrowly catching the left arm of the Sith.
A hiss of irritation escaped the Sith as they froze and looked down at their arm in surprise. However, the delay didn't stop them for long as they drew back their arm, and with a flick of their wrist, the lightsaber spun from their hand, a deadly red disk hurtling toward Harry. His heart lurched into his throat, and he threw himself flat, the blade whirling over his head, close enough that he was sure he felt it singe the ends of his hair. Immediately after passing overhead, it reversed course like a boomerang, zipping back to the Sith's outstretched hand.
Gritting his teeth, Harry scrambled back to his feet, wand at the ready.
Harry's mind raced, calculating. Brute force wasn't going to work—he needed a strategy, something unexpected. The Sith was powerful, but Harry had a lifetime of thinking on his feet. If he could just buy a moment, find a weakness …
"Reducto!" he shouted but as before the spell was deflected off the lightsaber and struck the ceiling, raining debris down on both of them, Harry saw a flicker of surprise in the Sith's eyes.
His mind raced for a strategy. He needed to think outside the box.
The air was thick with powdered stone, making it hard to see and harder to breathe. Harry coughed, struggling to keep his feet amidst the rubble. His fingers tightened around his wand as he forced his mind to focus.
"Accio chair!" he called, and a heavy metal seat zooming towards him from behind the Sith, forcing the Sith to turn at the last moment, in order to slice it in half mid-air.
The brief respite allowed Harry a moment to think. If direct spells could be deflected or defended against, then maybe he needed to try something more unconventional. A wicked idea formed in his mind.
"Incendio!" he shouted, setting the remains of the broken furniture between them ablaze. The fire roared to life, spreading quickly across the debris-strewn floor.
For a moment, the Sith was hidden behind the wall of flames. Harry took the chance to circle around, pressing himself against the cantina's bar, using it for cover. He could sill hear the hiss of the lightsaber above the cackling sound of the fire and see the red glow illuminating the smoke-filled room.
However, as he peaked out from behind the cantina, he watched the Sith easily jump over the fire and after taking a second to locate him began advancing on his new location.
As Harry jumped out from behind the bar, the Sith's hand rose again, and this time Harry recognized the gesture. He braced himself at the last second just before another invisible fist slammed into him.
The impact was stronger this time, and the wall behind him groaned in protest. Harry felt a moment of weightlessness as the metal gave way, the force of the blow carrying him straight through. He tumbled through the wall and found himself sliding along the path outside towards the edge of the path. He scrambled to try and find a handhold but the edge continued getting closer … and at the last minute his outstretched fingers managed to grasp the struts of the railing.
Pain flared through Harry's body as he struggled to keep his grip on the catwalk's railing. His fingers dug into the cold metal, knuckles turning white as he fought against the force of his own momentum. Below him, the abyss stretched endlessly, a maze of tangled walkways, flickering neon lights, and the distant hum of repulsorlift traffic.
He gritted his teeth, trying to pull himself up, but the force of being hurled through the wall had left him his serious pain. His limbs ached, and his head was still spinning. That Sith had been fast—unnervingly fast. Harry knew he was quick in a fight, but his opponent had seemingly been able to anticipate some of his moves before he'd even cast them. And the lightsaber—that cursed weapon—had reflected his spells like they were nothing. That was a problem.
A disturbance brought him back to the present. The Sith. They'd be coming after him.
His eyes darted downward, spotting a small catwalk about twenty feet below. It wasn't a great option, but short of wanting to try and pull himself up and go for round two with the Sith, it was his only option.
Taking a breath, Harry released his grip and let himself fall.
His legs buckled upon impact, and a sharp jolt shot through his right knee as he landed hard. He barely bit back a cry, his vision swimming for a moment as pain flared through his body. Bloody hell … He'd felt worse, but not by much.
Pushing through the pain, he forced himself up. The Sith would reach the edge of the path above soon and easily be able to see him down here. He needed cover. Fast.
An alleyway to the side caught his eye—a shadowed escape route leading away from the open platforms. Limping slightly, he made his way toward it as quickly as he could.
Just as he reached the entrance to the alley, a hand shot out and grabbed his arm.
Harry spun instinctively, wand raised, half-formed Confringo on his lips—
—Only to stop short.
"Vena?"
The Twi'lek woman nodded sharply. "We need to go. Now. Before they come down to inspect."
Still catching his breath, Harry lowered his wand. "Did Leia and Luke get out?"
"They found me first and warned me what was happening," Vena confirmed. "I have a safe room back there and I've been watching your fight through the hidden cameras in my bar." Her lekku twitched slightly as she looked him over. "I have to say—I didn't think anyone could hold their own against a Sith like that."
Harry let out a breathy, disbelieving chuckle. "Didn't feel like I was holding my own. In the end, that Sith had no trouble tossing me through a wall."
Vena shook her head. "You're underselling yourself. Most people wouldn't have lasted ten seconds."
Harry absorbed that with a slow nod. He wasn't sure if that was comforting or terrifying.
"Come on," she said, nodding toward a doorway. "I know the fastest route to your ship. If we're quick, we can get there before Leia and your friends take off."
Harry didn't need convincing. He fell into step behind her, his wand still drawn but held low, just out of sight. His heart pounded in his chest as they weaved through the narrow alleyways. The neon glow of Coruscant painted the walls in eerie shades of green and purple, the occasional shout or distant blaster fire echoing through the night.
Harry's nerves were on edge. His duels with Death Eaters had taught him to be wary of ambushes, and this place reeked of danger. He glanced over his shoulder, scanning the shadows.
"Is your bar going to be alright?" he asked as they moved.
Vena didn't even look back. "No … but at the end of the day, it's just a place."
Harry caught something in her tone—an acceptance that came from having lost homes before. He understood that feeling all too well.
"This isn't the first time you've had to leave somewhere behind, is it?" he guessed.
She looked back with a smirk on her face. "No. And it won't be the last."
They turned a corner into another narrow passage, this one filled with stacked crates and rusted machinery. Vena glanced at the chrono on her wrist and muttered something under her breath.
"We need to move faster," she said. "We don't want to be on the streets when the Sith starts hunting and Leia said they were going to need to take off pretty quickly."
Harry nodded, ignoring the throbbing in his leg as he picked up the pace. He wasn't about to argue with that.

Back at the ruined cantina, the Sith stood at the edge of the platform, peering down at the lower levels of Coruscant. Their crimson blade was still ignited, humming ominously in the smoky air.
A low growl of irritation escaped their lips. This was unexpected. The fight should have been over already.
They had sensed the power in the stranger—something different, something not of the Force as they knew it. Their ability had been raw, unfamiliar, but powerful nonetheless.
The Sith closed their eyes, reaching out with the Force. The echoes of the battle lingered in the air. The imprint of their prey's presence had not faded yet.
There. Faint, but traceable.
A trail of pain, determination, and something else—defiance.
Their lips curled into a dark smile.
This was not over.
They turned and gestured to the masked stormtroopers waiting behind them. "Sweep the level below. Find him."
With curt nods, the enforcers disappeared into the night.
The Sith took one last look at the abyss below before turning sharply and vanishing into the shadows.

Vena led Harry through a final passage before emerging onto a wider street. The hangars weren't far now.
"Almost there," she muttered. "If we're lucky—"
She cut herself off, suddenly pulling Harry back into the shadows of a doorway.
"What?" he whispered.
She didn't answer immediately, only pointing toward the end of the street.
Harry followed her gaze—and felt his stomach drop.
A group of white-armored figures was sweeping through the area. No doubt part of the Sith's party. They were methodical, checking every alley, every doorway.
They were hunting.
Harry clenched his jaw. Of course there was no way they're letting him off-world that easily.
Vena pulled him back further. "We need another way."
"There's no time," Harry murmured. "Han won't wait forever."
His mind worked quickly. His spells wouldn't be enough to take down that many without alerting the Sith. But there were other ways to cause chaos.
His wand flicked subtly. Confringo.
A nearby power conduit exploded in a shower of sparks. The enforcers immediately turned, weapons raised, scanning for threats.
Recognizing the opening, Vena didn't wait. "This way!" she hissed, leading him toward a different path while the enforcers were distracted.
Harry sprinted into the hangar, his breath ragged and his muscles aching from the fight and the frantic escape through Coruscant's maze-like streets. His leg still throbbed from the rough landing earlier, but adrenaline partially dulled the pain as he pushed himself forward.
The Millennium Falcon loomed ahead, its hull weathered and battle-scarred yet still somehow an incredibly welcome site. The unmistakable hum of its engines vibrated through the hangar, signaling that the ship was already primed for departure.
Leia stood on the boarding ramp, scanning the entrance anxiously. The moment she spotted Harry and Vena, relief flashed across her face, and she shouted back over her shoulder into the ship as she waved them toward the ship. But before he reached her, she turned and rushed toward Vena, pulling the Twi'lek into a quick embrace.
"I'm so glad you made it out," Leia said sincerely. "Are you coming with us?"
Vena shook her head, a slight smile tugging at her lips. "No. My place is here. And now, more than ever, I need to set up again. We can't afford to leave a blind spot in this sector. And the longer we delay the harder it will be to set something up."
Leia hesitated, concern flickering in her eyes. Then, after glancing toward Harry, she leaned in and whispered something to Vena—just loud enough for Harry to overhear.
"Get in contact with Fulcrum and tell them there are two new pieces on the board," she murmured. "But I can't wait around to see her."
Vena gave a slow nod, her expression turning serious.
Harry's mind raced at Leia's words. Fulcrum? Who was that? And more importantly—two new pieces? Him and Luke?
Before he could ask, Han came striding down the ramp, his usual cocky swagger barely concealing the urgency in his step.
"Alright, that's enough sentimental goodbyes," he said gruffly. "It's time to leave, Princess. We can't wait any longer."
Then his gaze landed on Harry, and he raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"Hey, kid. Glad you made it."
Harry gave him a weary smirk. "You think I'd miss out on a free ride?"
Han scoffed. "Yeah, yeah. Get on the Falcon. Luke told me about your adventure while her royal Highness was out here, I'm not waiting around for some dark Jedi to come looking for us."
He turned and headed back up the ramp, barking orders to Chewbacca as he went.
Harry took a breath as he made his way up the ramp, still processing everything that had happened in the past little while. His thoughts were racing, but there was no time to dwell on them.
Leia and Vena exchanged a final glance. The Twi'lek gave Leia a reassuring smile before turning toward one of the hangar exits. As she took off at a brisk pace, Harry reached the top of the ramp and turned back to watch her disappear into the shadows.
Then, just as Leia started up the ramp—
The hangar doors burst open.
A squad of stormtroopers poured into the facility, their gleaming white armor stark against the dim lighting. Blaster rifles snapped into position as they took aim.
But it wasn't the stormtroopers that made Harry's blood run cold.
It was the Sith that strode in behind them.
The dark figure moved with measured precision, their crimson lightsaber already ignited, casting a malevolent red glow across the hangar floor.
For a heartbeat, time seemed to freeze.
Then—
Blaster bolts filled the air.
Harry's eyes shot open in horror as the front line of stormtroopers dropped to one knee, blasters raised, all taking aim at Princess Leia's unprotected back.
It was an execution.
There was nowhere for her to run, nowhere to take cover.
"No—"
"Accio!"
Leia barely had time to react before she was yanked backward through the air, her feet leaving the ground as Harry's spell pulled her toward him. Blaster bolts sizzled through the air, missing her by mere inches and striking the durasteel floor where she had been standing.
She let out a startled yelp as she collided with him, knocking them both over in a tangle of limbs.
For a heartbeat, the world was chaos—blaster fire, shouting stormtroopers, the Falcon's engines roaring to life.
Leia scrambled up first, grabbing Harry's wrist and yanking him to his feet.
"Go, go!" she shouted.
Harry slammed his palm against the control panel for the ramp, and with a metallic hiss, it began to rise. They turned and sprinted into the depths of the ship, yelling ahead.
"Take off, now!" Leia shouted at the same time they heard Han's voice echoing from the cockpit.
"Oh, hell no," Han's voice crackled over the comm. "Chewie, get us in the air now!"
Before they even reached the cockpit, the Falcon lurched violently beneath them, throwing them against the walls. Harry barely managed to keep his balance, grabbing onto a part of the wall with one hand and Leia with the other as the ship shot upward.
The two of them skidded to a stop in the corridor, panting.
Leia placed her hands on her knees, trying to catch her breath. After a moment, she looked up at him. "You—" she exhaled sharply. "You saved my life. On the ramp that is."
Harry gave a breathless laugh, wiping sweat from his brow. "No worries. You'd have done the same for me." He smirked. "Well … maybe without the wand part."
Leia let out a short, surprised laugh. "Yeah, I'll need to get me one of those."
They shared a quick grin before Leia straightened, determination returning to her features. "Come on. We need to see what's going on up front."
Harry followed her down the corridor, still gripping his wand tightly.
As they entered the cockpit, Han glanced over his shoulder.
"Nice of you two to finally join us," he quipped. "Things are getting a little busy up here."
Harry peered out the cockpit viewport and his stomach twisted.
They appeared to have just broken out of the planet's atmosphere and the space in front of them was filled with incoming ships—security forces, patrol craft, even a few capital ships beginning to stir from orbit.
"That's … a lot of activity," Harry muttered.
"Looks like the entire planet's worth of security ships. More than what should usually be out and about," Han confirmed grimly.
Chewbacca growled something in agreement, his furry hands dancing across the controls.
Leia frowned. "That's way too fast a response. They couldn't have known we were coming, we just took off."
"Yeah, well, maybe somebody tipped 'em off," Han said. "Point is, we need to get outta here, now."
Leia nodded and quickly stepped forward, leaning over Han's seat. "Set course for Yavin. That's where the Rebel base is."
Han raised an eyebrow. "Yavin, huh?" He exchanged a glance with Chewie before getting to his feet. "Alright, well getting out of here sounds like a solid plan, Princess." He moved over to the navicomputer and began punching in the coordinates for the jump to hyperspace.
Harry could feel the tension in the air. The moment those coordinates were set, they'd be home free.
But then—
The alarms started blaring.
Han who had just finished at the navicomputer and had been returning to his seat, froze mid-step. He and Chewie exchanged a look before he dove back into his seat. Han flipped a switch, silencing the alarm, then checked the screen.
His expression turned from confusion to pure alarm.
"Incoming planetary body?" he read aloud, frowning. "That can't be right—"
Chewbacca suddenly let out a deep, urgent growl.
Han's face paled.
"What now?" Harry asked, stepping forward.
Han swallowed hard and turned to them.
"The space station," he said in disbelief.
And then—
It appeared.
The Death Star.
One moment, the void of space stretched out before them. The next, a massive, looming structure materialized directly ahead, blotting out the stars.
It was monstrous, a metal titan floating in the abyss, its surface covered in endless city-like layers, trenches, and turrets. A battle station the size of a moon.
Harry had faced many terrifying things in his life—Voldemort, Dementors, dragons—but this ... this was something else entirely.
Leia's face went pale. "No …" she whispered. "We need to get out of here now," Leia said, urgency rising in her voice. "They'll be able to lock onto us quick enough."
Han opened his mouth—then shut it.
Instead, he nodded. "Yeah. Yeah." He turned to Chewbacca. "Chewie, are we far enough away?"
After a short pause, the Wookiee let out a short, affirmative growl, his furry hands moving rapidly across the controls.
Han exhaled sharply and nodded. "Okay, Chewie. Let's punch it."
Chewbacca reached for the hyperspace levers.
"Hold on to something, kid. We're about to jump!"
The Death Star loomed ever closer.
Han gritted his teeth. "Come on, come on—"
And then—
With a tremendous jolt, the Millennium Falcon jumped to hyperspace.
The stars stretched into long, brilliant lines—
And then—
They were gone.
Kind Regards,

If you like this content do not hesitate to smash that like button and subscribe. Haha but seriously if you do enjoy the story - do favorite it, other than messaging me or leaving a comment it's the only way I know if you are enjoying the stories and chapters.
Story Note 1 – For all of you who enjoyed Vena and wanted more interactions between her and Harry/the gang. Do not worry … I'd imagine she'll pop again. Plus I have no doubt she is just chock full of stories of adventures with Leia from their earlier days! I personally look forward to those!
Story Note 2 – I know there will certainly be some who feel one way or the other about combining the Force and magic in the story however this was a big stab and the biggest fight scene that combines the two and for the most part I thought it was handled really well in a believable and dramatic way. Which gave way to an enjoyable fight! Although I do look forward to any and all feedback as constantly going back and changing things.
Story Note 3 – For everyone wondering whether if Harry had been a fraction of a second quicker could he have saved Obi-Wan … I guess the answer was yes. Luckily he was faster this time! As it sure seems like the stormtroopers are getting better with their shooting!
Story Note 4 - This story will obviously be a Harry x Leia story. But will be working on developing their relationship in a way that makes sense, so I really look forward to receiving feedback on how it is going. I really hope you don't hesitate to provide any feedback. Thanks in advance for that!
A large thanks to those of you out there who enjoy my stories, I promise to keep updating the stories as long as you all are enjoying them, and a special thanks to those of you who have taken the time to leave feedback or have reached out to me directly.

starboy454, Haseo187 - Thanks so much for the review and I hope you continue to enjoy the story as it progresses!
Jostanos - Certainly she'll be back and I have no doubt her stories will be enjoyable! Looks like it wasn't Vader but as to who it was ... I guess we will just have to wait and see. Glad you are enjoying the story!
Admiral Ackbar - To me stunners were something Harry felt more comfortable with as it didn't seem in canon he leant towards using lethal curses. Plus whether he stuns an opponent or knocks them unconscious by throwing them into a wall they are down for the fight.
Guest - Looks like it wasn't Vader ... any guesses as to who it might be. But Anakin and Harry will certainly have their run-ins. Yes plural!
Shameless - Sorry you feel that way but still providing all the chapters.
DefenderWho - Well I'm loving your review so far! As for the twist I'm glad you like it! And without a doubt I agree. Usually my stories take a little longer to diverge but when they do it is a significant change in the story but for this I thought I'd move it along a little quicker. I guess we shall see what is in store for Obi-Wan and as for Harry's journey ... I have a feeling that at some point he will certainly end up on Dathomir ...
Monkey D. Conan - I guess we will soon find out who that was ... glad you enjoyed the chapter and really appreciate the feedback. Thats a really good point that I'll keep in mind but as for Leia do not worry she will certainly have her faults, it wasn't so much that I think shes perfect or trying to portray her that way but trying to stay away from the damsel in distress and therefore have more of an equal for Harry. And as for Luke ... oh he will definitely still keep evolving but for the same reason that I think Leia would have training to this point that would make her more capable and while Luke certainly had a greater connection to the Force at this point he was significantly undertrained ... this of course will change.
the traveler90 - That is a really good pick up. Not Vader but we will soon find out ... I'd lean more towards guessing the individual is from Legends ...
