Chapter 18 New Fun

The game of charades began and it was only slightly more fun then bingo. The game was particularly hard for Griffin to preform since he was invisible and no one could see what his body was doing. Johnny got bored with the game and he could see that Mavis and the other monsters weren't having much fun either. He looked over at his big backpack and began to go through it looking for something to liven up the place. After a bit of searching through the backpack, Johnny found something that he believed the monsters would enjoy. A portable scooter. Johnny unfolded the scooter set it on the ground and began to ride around the auditorium do a few simple tricks on it.
The monsters stared at Johnny and the scooter in surprise and awe, before Johnny got off the scooter and asked if the other monsters would care to ride the odd contraption. The monsters were all eager to do so and Johnny gave brief directions on how to do so and he even encouraged the monsters to try and ride the scooter in anyway they saw fit and if done correctly more then one could ride it. One by one the monsters each took a turn on the scooter, some did the traditional way of riding, other rode it by sitting their rears on the scooter and let the legs doing the walking, and a few monsters rode together on the scooter. Victor and Victoria had a blast with one twin riding the scooter and the other twin rode on their shoulders. Mavis took a turn riding on the scooter and then she and Johnny rode together on it.
Everyone was having a blast with the scooter, except for Dracula who felt a tiny bit of jealousy towards the fun Johnny was creating. Emily saw this and put a reassuring hand on her husband's shoulder.
"Don't you worry dear, the other monsters still love you and think your great at entertaining and planning events. Johnny's just spicing things up a little and is just making friends. He's a nice and likable guy, but no one can replace you at the hotel. You just have to share the limelight a bit." Said Emily.
"I guess you're right." Said Dracula calming down.
At that moment a particular naughty gremlin who had a habit of stealing and eating thins went over to the scooter when it had no one riding it and quickly ate it in a couple of seconds. The monsters and Johnny stared at the gremlin who had a casual look on her face and she spoke.
"I didn't do that."
The monsters just grumbled in annoyance and Dracula decided it was time for the next event on the schedule. Pool activities. All the monsters went to change into some swimwear. Johnny searched his backpack for some swim trunks and a top to put on, when his eyes spotted a random flyer he had picked up along the way before arriving at Hotel Transylvania. The flyer talking about a event called 'Monster Festival' being held at a local town. Johnny carefully read the info on the flyer and a idea began to form in his mind to help his new monster friends. He decided to present the plan to Dracula and Emily later as he located some swim clothes and changed into them.
Johnny also thought it would be best to reveal his true self to Mavis, her siblings, and the few really good monster friends he made like Frank, Wayne, Griffin, and Murray, under the supervision of Emily and Dracula before he presented the idea he had come up involving Monster Festival. If all went well the lives of the monsters would be better.
