Chapter 19 Pool Fun

The pool was a large open area at the back of the hotel. It was a large pool lite with green lights with a small buffet nearby for guests. Some monsters were doing water aerobics, others were floating in tubes, a few were playing volleyball, and some were just lounging by the pool. Johnny grabbed himself a towel and found himself a seat overlooking the pool and he decided on what he should do.
Quasimodo and his pet Esmeralda were working by the pool serving omelettes, when they caught the scent of a human and became suspicious as they began to search and sniff the area. Emily quickly caught sight of this and went over to the cook and his pet and gave them a big order to fulfill. Quasimodo was more then happy to do the order and he raced off with Esmeralda to cook it. Emily let out a sigh at avoiding a possible disaster by the pool.
Mavis headed over to Johnny wearing a one piece swimsuit and Johnny was happy to see her.
"So Johnny got any fun ideas to do for the pool?" Asked Mavis.
Johnny looked over at a couple of large board monsters in the pool and got an idea. He lead Mavis to the pair and got the monsters attention.
"You guys want to join in on a Chicken Fight?" Asked Johnny.
"What's a Chicken Fight?" Asked one monster.
"It's a game that people ride on other people's shoulders towards each other. The goal of the game is for the people on top to try to knock the other player into the water to win." Said Johnny.
The monsters and Mavis looked interested in the game and the two big monsters let Johnny and Mavis climb onto their shoulders and wrap their legs around their chest. They then went into a deeper area of the pool where Johnny and Mavis faced off and began to grapple and push trying to knock the other in the water. The other monsters saw this and became interested as they began to cheer. A few monster jumped onto each other's shoulders to join in the game along with Victoria wearing a one piece swimsuit who rode on Victor's back as he wore some black swim trunks. Soon the whole pool area was lively and the guests were having fun.
Dracula and Emily were a bit startled by this development and then they saw that some water had splashed onto Johnny causing some of his makeup to start dripping off! It would only be a matter of seconds before someone took notice of Johnny's dripping makeup and he would be exposed as a human. Dracula quickly sprung into action as he changed into a large eel and dove into the pool. He swam to the bottom where he located the main plug for the pool and quickly yanked it out. The water immediately began to drain from the pool much to the guests' confusion. Monsters were forced to remove people from their shoulders and Emily quickly called Johnny out of the pool to dry him off a bit and apply some more makeup to his disguise.
Dracula turned into a bat and flew out of the pool before turning to his normal folks.
"Sorry everyone, there was a problem with our pipping. The pool is officially close till it is fixed." Said Dracula.
And thus the pool fun was over.
