Gwyndolin's crush
chapter 2
He felt so very strange just walking around all the citizens of Anor Londo, not being noticed, well at least not as much. Everyone noticed the blindfold he wore though most just gave him a weird look.
Though what felt most odd about this all was stalking a knight he'd see in the cathedral at least every week. It was strange seeing him just go about his business, getting garbage thrown at him by the local kids and buying food.
Oh, why was he stalking him? Well, that's simple, he was going to approach him but realized he didn't know what to say, so instead of 'going with the flow' like his stupid brother would say, he followed him around for about three hours while thinking of what to say.
Clearly flawless logic, there was nothing wrong with what he was doing in the slightest.
At least that's what he thought.
But when he followed him down a narrow alleyway, Arias jumped him with a sword, demanding he tell him why he was following him.
"AH, WELL I- UHM, I UH-"
"C'MON SPIT IT OUT!"
"EEK. FINE I WANTED TO GREET THEE!"
"You whaaa?"
"I-I wanted to greet thee..."
"Well you've got a funny way of 'greeting' people. Y'know you're supposed to actually approach them first?"
"Y-Yes well I was getting there."
"You were 'getting there' for three hours woman!"
"I was nervous!"
"Hmph, I'd prefer a simple 'Hi' first rather than be followed across the whole of Anor Londo!"
"Alright I understand!"
"Hmph" With that, Arias let him go, sheathing his sword and beginning to walk away.
"U-Uhm..."
"What?" Arias turned around, wondering what they were going to say now.
"C-Couldst we start over?"
"Huh?"
"Well, I mean. What if I introduced mineself proper? And then maybe we could go on a..." Gwyndolin trailed off, the last few words barely even audible. Arias gave him a weird look but sighed as Gwyndolin looked at him with big hopeful baby eyes.
"Hmph why not. I've nothing better to do anyways." He mumbled, because of course the most logical thing to do after being stalked for three hours is to get to know the stalker better.
"T-Trully!?" Gwyndolin asked, genuinely surprised that he agreed. Arias nodded and now Gwyndolin was put on the spot he realized he actually didn't come up with a fake name.
"Well, mine name is, um... U-uhhmm it's... I'm- uhhh.. uuhhhhhhh it's- J-Judith! Judith." He got there eventually, though he wasn't exactly free of suspicion.
"Riighht. *Ahem* Well, my name is Arias, Sir Arias if you really wanna be all fancy."
"Ah, 'tis a nice name. It brings to mind the legendary Abysswalker. Not the worst person to share a similar name with I imagine."
"Yeahh he noticed the similarities too. Apparently, I didn't quite live up to his expectations.
"Didn't live up to his expectations?"
"Yeah it's a long story, with an awkward ending."
"Perhaps thou couldst tell me some time?"
"Maybe.. preferably not."
"Alright."
"..."
"Sooooo..."
"Hrm?"
"You said you wanted to go on a date right? It-"
"I-I didn't... though I'm not against the idea."
"Right well, as I was saying it seems more appealing than just standing around in dark and dingy alleyway while those sketchy hooded guys watch us."
"What?"
"Look, just over there." Arias pointed to a small group of thief builds who'd regretted their starting classes, now resorting to stealing actually good equipment from others.
"Oh my.." Gwyndolin remarked.
"Yeahhh. C'mon, we better get going, I know a place that should be good."
"Ah right."
Gwyndolin nodded before following Arias out of the alleyway, leaving the thief builds to wait for some others to maybe fall into their trap.
A/N Not exactly a long chapter but I've been really busy as of late.
