Ceasefire Negotiations

Bob didn't like the reports he was getting.

Scav purges were hardly new, but normally they just pruned away at imitators and reduced competition.

This recent one had made it deeper and was actually interfering with the channels used to funnel money to the greater organization.

Something would have to be done.

While it would be nice to make an example, this particular person had proven to be a bit too slippery for him to be confident a Hit would land, so he'd try negotiation next.

An arrangement with multiple fixers eventually got him a spoofed connection to the girl so he could arrange a meetup.

::You are the one who's been killing my people?::

::They started it. ::

::While I am certain it looks that way to you, the people who made that little mistake were not actually part of my organization, or under my command.::

::Oh, too bad. So sad. The Scavs are innocent. Why must the innocent suffer so?::

::Somehow I feel your sympathy is lacking in sincerity. Would it be possible to arrange a meeting so we can resolve this like civilized people?::

::Why would we need to arrange a meeting-::

"-When I'm right here?"

It took Bob a second to realize the second half of the sentence was verbal... and in the room with him.

This was not a good start to the negotiations.
