"I'm still calling bullshit." Grumbled Keiko. "She wasn't ..."
"Yes, we know." Masaki cut her, exasperated. "She wasn't wearing Tygers colors. As you keep saying again and again and ..."
"Yeah well, it's bullshit, that's what it is ! She puts no respect to Fujimura-sama's name too. Ain't no way a gonk like her is REALLY living up the 27th." Keiko was really getting worked up now, and Shouma knew he had to stop her or she would keep going for ages. That would be bad for the crew morale and more importantly, his ears.
"Well, she did go to the 27th floor. We all saw it. Plus, she's probably loaded, sending eddies to her chooms like that. And they called her boss." That was something Shouma had tried to have HIS crew do for ages. "So let's not be gonks and just check her out for a while, until we get more info. Yeah ?"
The boys nodded, Keiko didn't.
"I still ..."
"Hey, someone's comin'." Sota called.
Shouma turned with his crew, and saw it all. He saw the pouches full of ammo. He saw the custom-made gear. He saw the way she was obviously packing major heat. He saw the armor that he immediately recognized as being some high tier Kang Tao number that was probably worth more than all of his stuff. He saw the techgogs and how she coldly considered all of his crew for a second, not even bothering to slow down. And he saw her gait. That was how some of the killers walked in the XBDs. How the panthers stalked on these old documentaries. No one said anything until she reached the new car they had all been checking out. The beautiful Quadra.
Masaki opened his mouth just as she popped open the trunk and smoothly grabbed an assault rifle out of it. Masaki closed his mouth and Shouma felt his heart stop. Fortunately, she just quickly checked the rifle, patted something and closed the trunk before stowing her rifle in the passenger footwell and leaving, the Quadra roaring as it exited the garage. She had never bothered giving them a second glance.
They stood silent for a moment before Keiko giggled. "Ahaha ! she's a Dough Girl !"
The crew stared at her, incredulous.
