"Hiromi!" shouted Motoko in sudden realisation, "I think we might have been dating just now!"

"Really?" deadpanned Hiromi as they marched back into their shared apartment on the Arasaka waterfront.

"It's cheaper to live together as friends, you know that," replied Motoko.

"Really?" deadpanned Hiromi, holding up her half of their matching wedding rings.

"But that's just a gold friendship ring, right?" denied Motoko.

"Really?" deadpanned Hiromi as she trotted out her and Motoko's 2.5 children into the room.

"F-friends totally have kids together, right?" Motoko began to sweat.

"Really?" deadpanned Hiromi as she leaned in expectantly.

"I... might have been a gonk for these last few years, Hiromi..." said Motoko weakly.

"Totally," deadpanned Hiromi and kissed the idiot called Motoko into submission.
