"Ugh… We don't remember our spawn being so powerful." Venom commented as he swung to evade Carnage's next attack.
"I don't remember him being this fast." Spider-Man commented as he pushed some rubble off of himself, and got up.
"Remind me again why we're the ones fighting the girl?" Ace grumbled over the lines.
"Because your intangible body means she can't cut you, and Jojo's Stand can't be infected." Spider-Man answered, "Look, me and Venom have tangled with Carnage before. We can handle him. You just focus on your target."
"It's a lot harder than you make it out to be." Jotaro answered, "What are we supposed to do anyways?"
"Knock her around a bit until she falls unconscious so that we can try to get her the help she needs?" Venom rhetorically asked.
"I want to point out how messed up it is that Venom could point that out a lot easier than you, Jotaro."
"Good grief. Fine. We'll figure something out. Worse case scenario, I do to her what I did to D'arby."
"Telence or Daniel?"
There was a bit of a radio silence until Jotaro finally spoke.
"Yes."
"PAY ATTENTION!" Carnage flung some more parts of his body that were in the shape of axes, "WHAT COLOR DO YOU BLEED, SPIDER-MAN?"
"You won't find out, Carnage!" Spidey declared as he jumped out of the way.
"Parker! There's live wires nearby. We'll take care of the rest!" Venom snarled over the comm lines.
Venom started moving towards an abandoned car, and slashed the fuel tank, and started gathering the gasoline.
"It's a little hard to take you seriously, Carnage!" Spidey taunted as he dodged Carnage's various attacks, "When you're acting like a knockoff version of the Joker!"
"WHY, YOU!"
"I guess I should be happy that her explosions can't really hurt me." Ace mumbled.
"Oh good grief. The only edge I have is my Stand being able to block her attacks. And the only real reason for that is because his eyesight can see some of the dust in the air move around."
"You got that right Jojo." Ace replied, "But I think the real question is how are we going to incapacitate her. We can't just hide behind these buildings forever."
"Well, Stark wanted to test out the new Stand-detecting scouters that he made. How are they working?"
"I really only get a general aura of the general location of Star Platinum." Ace replied, "I can't really detect punches, kicks, or anything else. But I got a general idea of when you used Star Finger to counter attack."
"Well, I suppose that helps out some. I'm sure Stark would be happy to know they kind of work."
"Die."
"Crap! Star Platinum!"
From Lucy and Ace's perspective, Jotaro had teleported, and managed to avoid the attack. Ace knew from experience that this was Jotaro's time stop technique.
The battle wasn't really going in their favor at the moment.
"Good grief, we need to find a way to get her closer to the ground. One good blow to the head might knock that other personality loose."
"I called some backup." Ace responded, "He should be here any moment."
"He?- Don't we want to keep the virus from spreading?"
"Not this guy." Ace smirked, "He's also bringing a secret weapon."
"Gimmie a break." Jotaro mumbled, "Can you at least tell me who it is instead of playing the stupid pronoun game?"
"Incoming!"
"It's mega great to be here!"
"Oh. Him."
"The Super Fighting Robot is here and at your service! What do you need?"
"We need you to call Rush."
"Oh… That's… that's cool…" Mega Man deflated.
*BWIP!*
Rush zapped in, ready for action.
"Look out! It's… uh…" Jotaro was at a loss for words. Lucy had come down from her vectors high rise and looked at Rush.
She closed her eyes and sighed, "You don't play fair."
"It's okay. No hard feelings about trying to kill us, right?"
Lucy was stunned. Very few people said anything close to that. In fact, she was pretty sure that nobody said anything close to that.
"To be fair, we live in a world where death is cheap." Mega Man pointed out, "So, you like Rush, huh?"
"Is that his name?" Lucy petted Rush's ears, "It's… appropriate."
"Okay so, are we good here?"
*BOOM!*
"I think we're good here, specifically." Mega Man said, "Can't say the same about how Spidey and Venom are handling their, uh… 'family' dispute."
"We have… so many questions on how we survived."
"I have a lot of questions on how you survived." Spider-Man added, "What'd you use as a shield anyways?"
"A car…"
Spidey groaned, "I feel like we blew up like… seventeen cars…"
"That's because we did."
"Sorry. The explosion probably hit me in the head… Even my webbing couldn't handle the blast completely… And I'm pretty sure I used all of it."
"Can you get up?"
"Barely." Spider-Man groaned, "What I wouldn't give for Jotaro's uncle to be here and fix us up."
"Good grief." Jotaro walked on the scene, "This place looks worse than Dio's face after I was done with it."
"Alright now I'm convinced that the reason you spend so little time talking is because you come up with one-liners in your head." Spider-Man groaned as he pulled himself up, "Venom! Any sign of Carnage?"
"No. It's reasonable that he ran off after the blast."
"You look… familiar." Lucy muttered as she walked in holding Beat in her arms.
"Venom is our spawn. The kind that you hate because they tried to murder you."
"Hmm… At least I'm not the only one who hates him."
"A lot of people hate him." Spidey replied, "I'm Spider-Man. I was… kinda also responsible for Venom, and by extension, Carnage."
"Bold of you to admit that."
"Gotta take responsibility for it."
"You'd take responsibility over a guy tripping on the street if he was on your patrol route." Ace pointed out.
"It was nice to meet you."
The various heroes simply saw Lucy off as she seemed to have a bit more of Nyu in her step.
"Huh. Thought we'd have another fight on our hands. What with us… having an affiliation with Carnage and all…"
"'Sins of the Father' much?- Plus, we told her that Mewtwo could get rid of or suppress the DNA voice." Jotaro said.
"We also said that we'd get her a dog. She seems to be fond of animals more than people."
"Then she'd love Sonic and his friends- Wait! What would be her reaction to Red?"
There was a brief moment of silence before Ace cut in one last time, "We'll… We'll cross that bridge when we get there."
Wade: Subverting expectations, huh?
X: Eh, Lucy/Nyu wouldn't be fond of being in a building that also contains guys like Nightmare, Shang Tsung, and Carnage. Plus, we also have to take into account as to who she's interacting with as opposed to who is in her home world. You've got guys like Beast, Rogue, Wolverine, Spider-Man, and several others that are discriminated all because of looks or abilities, which Lucy could relate to. Then you have kindred spirits in the form of Bruce Banner in the sense that they both have a voice in the back of their head that's always telling them to be destructive. Then you have guys like Raiden and Mewtwo that she could share in the experience of being experimented on; then Guts, and Robocop could help her out with that trauma. Then there are the parental figures like Tifa, Yang, Steve, and you to a certain degree.
Wade: I'm going to level with you, if someone even so much as tries to hurt her, they're getting a carbonadium sword through the skull.
X: Could take a page out of Polnareff's book, and cut up everything but the genitals.
Pinkie: Think she'll like me?
X: She likes animals, so I guess.
