It's a good thing Hiromi doesn't need to use public transport, since she'd be a Target for Lucy and her introduction would be Motoko having to get her money/data back.

You bring up an interesting point. In the end of the day, Maine's crew are...well...not the most virtuous of people. I mean, they're not so bad by Night City standards but that's really not saying much. So it wouldn't be that surprising for Motoko or Section 9's first encounter with the crew to be somewhat hostile. It would definitely add a little drama to the story.

Imagine how poor Motoko would feel if Hiromi calls and yells that she just got robbed by a mox-looking girl with green hair or if Malcolm's credit chit was stolen by a girl with white hair on the NCART or if Ichi's truck gets totaled because Maine decided to use it as a shield during a shootout.

Talk about awkward.

On one hand, Section 9 was attacked so some kind of retaliation is warranted but on the other hand Motoko would probably prefer not to burn bridges with the main cast of Edgerunners. What can Motoko say?

Motoko: "Guys, I get that you're all upset..."

Hiromi: "That whore robbed me! I'm not letting some red-eyed height challenged streetpunk use my hard-earned eddies to support her obvious drug habit! I want her head on my mantlepiece!"

Motoko: "Hiromi, my choomest of chooms, I have to ask you to dial back your corpo rage just a wee tad..."

Ichi: "What about my truck?! I kinda need one to make a living!"

Motoko: "That is indeed a bummer. But hey, you're unharmed so that's something! You should focus on the positives instead of the negatives!"

Malcolm: *sobbing on the floor* "I just want to buy a new car..."

Motoko: "...Right. Look guys, I know you all had a stressful couple of days but I think we should proceed through this in a calm and controlled manner. Why don't we just arrange a meeting and talk things out for a peaceful outcome?"

Hiromi: "How are you so calm about this Motoko?!"

Motoko: *beaming smile* "Because I have it on good authority that the crew that messed with us are just misunderstood rogues with hearts of gold! After all, aren't all strangers just friends you haven't met yet?"

*Tense silence before they jointly tackle her*

Motoko: *shocked* "What the hell guys!?"

Ichi: "You're an imposter! The real Motoko would never be so reasonable!"

Motoko: "Okay now I'm just low-key offended."
