"So, where are Guts and Doomguy?- I haven't seen them in weeks. Or a few others either. Hiei's gone, and so is Ghost Rider."
"Oh them?" Spider-Man asked, "They're off in a new section that popped up after Strange and Fate showed up. Called it 'Devilworld.'"
"I'm almost afraid to ask, because I'm not in the mood to get some more arrows in my ribs, but what the hell is 'Devilworld'?"
"Well, after Fate and Strange showed up, a bunch of demons started showing up through holes in the mystical dimension, so they used their magic to move those holes to a different location, and sealed it off."
"Why didn't they just repair the holes?" Dante asked.
"They tried." Raven answered as she teleported in with a book in her hand, "It just created a new hole."
"So these demons are stronger than them, or something?"
"Not necessarily." Spider-Man answered, "Kent simplified it for me. In a sense, the demons are just really resilient and determined. They just want to kill them, and destroy everything."
"I wasn't there for that part of the explanation." Raven noted, "Why are they attacking these versions, and not the ones from their home universe that they sync up with every so often?"
"Kent didn't answer that. He had no idea. I guess since they kill them here, we have to manually resurrect them to get them back on their feet, and let them fight back."
"So, they're trying to conquer this dimension then." Dante surmised.
"Yep. As for your original question, Guts, Doomguy, and a few others went there to clear out the demons. From what I heard, they're tearing them apart."
"So, why aren't we helping?" Raven asked, "We have the power to beat up demons, we should be able to take care of them."
"Wait, what?" Spider-Man was confused for a moment before realizing the implications, "Oh! You thought I was talking about our guys?- I'm going to level with you here: They're not trapped in Devilworld with those demons. Those demons are trapped in Devilworld with them."
"And that makes two thousand four hundred fifty two this hour! How's your sword holding up?"
"Just because I can't mow down these things as fast as you doesn't make me any less efficient." Guts snarked, "By the pen of Kentaro, that felt good!" He said as he finished cleaving through four demons in a single swing.
"Of course not." Doomguy said as he casually shot another demon trying to get at him from behind, "It just makes you slower."
"Tch, you're all slower than me." Hiei scoffed as he finished slicing several demons in half effortlessly, "That makes three thousand exactly. What about you, Black Swordsman?"
"This makes eight hundred and eleven." He replied just after slicing through three more demons, "Oh wait, my bad. Eight hundred and twelve." He corrected as he saw that a severed demon horn had impaled another in the head.
"GRRRAAHHHHHH!" Ghost Rider wiped out a division of demons all at once with his Hellfire.
"That makes twenty thousand on that one alone."
"… Showoff…"
"Whatever."
"Do you believe we should tell them that the demons are now too scared to attack us because they believe that they are our envoys?" Kent asked as he patted the Helmet of Fate by his side.
"No. Let them have their fun. This is likely the first time Guts has ever been able to actually have fun while killing demons. He deserves it."
"I suppose so. And it does seem refreshing that Blaze can let loose a bit more to let off some steam."
Strange shuddered, "Yes. Well, you won't say that if you ever have to fight that."
Wade: So, are you just kinda waiting around for something?
Dude: Well, I have a backlog of chapters that I've had on the backburner for a while now, and I want to clear space up. Watch your step.
Spider-Pinkie: Yeah yeah. Mind the dip. Why do you even have that?
Dude: For situations like The Mask, Pinkie. For situations like The Mask.
Alexis: Tweet chirp chirp tweet?
Dude: As much as Wade annoys me, and as much as Pinkie can get on my nerves, I'd never use it on them.
