"Hello Night City, I'm Gillean Jordan with N54 news and we're returning live to the City Center where the scene is utter chaos. NCPD has hundreds of officers on the streets and the mayor has raised the city's threat level to red due to the incredible and unprecedented capture of Arasaka's CEO, Saburo Arasaka, that happened this evening and which many are already calling 'The greatest kidnapping in the history of Night City.' The Arasaka Waterfront district is currently under complete lockdown and the mayor urges all Night City citizens to stay within their homes for the next few nights..."

The living room TV droned on as it showed the streets of the Corporate district in a state of bedlam as it swarmed with screaming Arasaka guard units, heavily armed AV's hovering in the air, and so many police cars that it totally blocked local streets for miles.

Jun sighed and slowly turned his head to look at his troublesome sister on the couch. She was absent mindedly coding on her laptop but was glancing at the screen every now and then in pensive silence. So she was going to play innocent huh.

He decided to rip the band-aid. "This is your fault, isn't it?"

"What?!" She squawked back as she jumped on her seat.

He raised a skeptical eyebrow.

His sister closed the laptop and puffed up her chest. "Jun-ni, your beautiful and innocent sister would never dream of getting involved with such a horrendous crime such as that. I'm a pure angel that only serves truth and justice..."

Jun didn't know if he wanted to laugh or cry.

"Motoko, look me in the eyes..." He motioned with his fingers and then pointed at the TV. "...and tell me that this special brand of nonsense doesn't have your name all over it."

Motoko stared at him. Jun stared right back.

Motoko was the first to look away and she begin to whistle a panicked tune. "Motoko." Jun growled out.

She nervously poked her fingers together. "My chooms and I may or may not have been hunted by an Edgerunner crew that wanted to interrogate me for information for the past couple of days...and I may or may not have sent them an encrypted email telling them to piss off and leave Section 9 alone. That just motivated them to look for me harder so I may or may not have decided to break through the ICE of their personal network and told them that they would have more success asking the CEO of Arasaka for deets on me than tracking me down if I didn't want to be spotted. I guess they took me literally...heh...heh..."

The Oni stared at her blankly. "Wow."

Honestly, his sister really was one of a kind because holy hell. What's next, Space Force One crash lands in Dogtown and Motoko gets dragged into a plot involving NUSA sleeper agents? Why was his gorilla imouto so good in sowing chaos everywhere she went?

Motoko hastily defended herself when she noticed the exhausted expression on her brother's face. "Hey! I didn't think those crazy gonks would actually do..." She waved towards the window as an AV shrieked by in the night sky. "...all that! You can't blame me for this!"

Jun sighed and tiredly rubbed his brow. "...Motoko, why can't you be a normal brat and shoplift from stores or spray graffiti on storefronts..."

"Because I'm awesome and therefore the consequences of my actions are also awesome!" She shrieked back.

"Really? Because the stress induced aneurysm I'm currently experiencing doesn't feel very awesome to me..."

"Oh shut up!"
