If one were to walk into the rec room, they'd see a bit of a sight.

Dante and Virgil were playing UMvC3; Yang, Tifa, Cloud, and Link were working together in Sword and Shield; Iron Man was tinkering with some experimental weapon add-on of his, and Fox McCloud was reading a book.

But strangest of all was something that most other people were pretty much expecting when a certain person arrived.

As per tradition, the Spiders were playing the Bats plus Nightwing in a card game. This time, UNO.

"So, why UNO?"

"Something something, Terry broke too many tables when we played poker. I wasn't paying much attention." Nightwing replied, "Can't believe I have to play this again…"

"Wild card. I call yellow." Peter said as he put his card down.

"Yellow seven." Bruce said as his card was also placed down.

"To be honest, this game survived into the future. Kinda weird." Miguel said as he put down a green seven.

"How is it weird?" Miles asked as Terry put down a green two.

"The fact that in his timeline, Uno survived, but Old Maid didn't." Nightwing quipped.

"Actually, it was 'Go Fish' that didn't survive. 'Old Maid' got rebranded and renamed into something don't remember." Miguel clarified as Nightwing used a skip card to make Peter play again.

"Y'know, just because you're not part of the Bat-Family doesn't mean you can't play on their team." Daredevil said.

"I know. But it seems like a bit of a tradition for them, and I don't want to ruin that." Static answered, "Why don't you join in for team Spider?- I'm sure that they'd ask you to join up for them."

"I'd rather not talk about it." Daredevil muttered.

"Rough time?"

"Really rough."

"I guess we all have those games." Static shrugged.

"More like I'm cursed." Daredevil commented.

"I heard the word 'cursed.'" Johnny Blaze came in, sans his Ghost Rider form, "Y'know, GR Can probably get rid of it if you-"

"Not giving him the name. It's a name that was under fair use when I got it."

"Also pretty sure that there's nothing stopping you from using it either." Static said.

"It's a comic thing, Shock."

"It's just 'Static' actually."

"Exactly the point. If I'm Daredevil, then what's Matt's name?" Johnny asked.

"I mean… He uses echolocation, right?" Static wondered.

"It's a bit more complicated than that, but it's available for me. Why do you ask?"

"So why aren't you 'Batman' then?- You use sonar to get around like a bat."

"Then what should Batman be then?" Johnny asked, now actually interested in the conversation.

"His most famous line is about how he is 'vengeance' and how he is the 'night' so, what goes around seeking vengeance a lot?"

"A… A ghost?"

"And his main method of getting around is the batmobile… Which he… rides in…" Daredevil realized.

"So, Batman should be Ghost Rider, Ghost Rider should be Daredevil, and Daredevil should be Batman." Static said more than asked.

"Hang on, I should probably look into it a bit more." Daredevil said.

"They had the conversation." Miguel said.

"It was kinda inevitable, really." Terry said, "Green two."

"I was here first, I should keep the name." Bruce said.

"You've technically been around long enough for your name to be public domain not too long from now." Peter said, noting the green six that Miguel placed down.

"How do you even know that?" Miles asked.

"You hang around Matt long enough, you pick up a few things. If MCU me had been an adult, he probably could have threatened Tony with a lawsuit in Civil War as a reference to our team-ups." Peter shrugged.

"Well movie and television studios are reliant on people not being sick and tired of you being in high school." Miguel replied.

"I wouldn't mind having a show where I'm in school." Miles said.

"Knowing how uncreative execs are, they'd probably stick me in school and just say that I'm working at Alchemax." Miguel grumbled.

"Don't feel too bad. If the rumors are true, the only reason why Terry exists is because execs just went up to a bunch of writers with the premise of 'Batman in High School.'" Dick joked.

"Huh. Too bad. I would have liked to have seen botany major Pamela Isley trying to get psych major Harleen Qunzel away from Joker." Peter joked.

"That reminds me, I should probably remember to set up a room for Harley for when she gets here. Some stuff to keep her away from Joker." Bruce said.

"Please. Knowing how she is right now, Joker would need protection from her." Miles said, "By the way, UNO."

"Nuts. You got anything to stop that, old man?" Terry asked.

"Nope."

"Dick?"

"Nah."

"Well, at least it's still twenty-one to nineteen, Bats' favor." Terry grumbled.

"At least this is more even than Poker. What was the final score on that one, anyway?" Miguel asked.

"I don't know. I lost count after we got a hundred thirty. I think they had like… forty, or something." Peter shrugged.

Dude: You wanna know what's really satisfying?

Wade: Seeing your favorite characters getting announced so that you can write them?

Pinkie: Binging a series so that you can more accurately write a character and then understanding why they're requested?

Alexis: Tweet tweet chirp?
