"And you're positive that this bomb will close that portal?"

"Yep. With Broly's Ki and Crona's weird Black Blood, this thing should be able to release enough energy to close that portal." Wally said.

"I have a feeling there's an 'or' there." Church grunted.

"There definitely is. The 'or' is that it could backfire and make even more portals. But hey. That's a ten percent chance… Maybe."

"Not reassuring."

"Well, it's not like we could test the thing!" Flash pointed out, "So anyways, we need either you or Tex to pull this off. And considering Tex's… condition, you're the best bet for getting this to actually work."

"You realize that's my girlfriend you're talking about, right?"

"I thought she was your wife… Or the A.I replication of your wife. I don't know. I kinda lost track of what was happening after season seven."

"Your brain works faster than most supercomputers."

"All supercomputers, thank you very much." Flash countered, "And to be honest, whatever force was driving your world's story honestly didn't know what the hell they were doing. If anything, it felt like they took a bunch of jokes from your first couple of seasons, and then made them into plot points to make themselves seem smart."

"I have no goddamn clue what you're talking about." Church grumbled, "Wait, is this about the 'chicken dentals' thing that Caboose keeps talking about?"

"Don't worry about it. Anyways secret agent Church, are you ready to use this thing and blow up some portals? The sooner this happens, the sooner we can go and look for your kid."

"My what?"

"Oh yeah. You weren't there for that." Caboose said, walking in, "See, the director man who made you and the other made Tex based off his memory of her, so she's not really Tex, she's just the memory the Director has of her, and you're also his own memories."

"She's a memory someone has of her." Church said more than asked.

"Yep. It's a key thing… Memory is the key."

"If it wasn't coming from you, I'd think that you said all that bullshit just to set up for that one line."

"Well, get used to him saying stuff like that. He's your backup." Flash pointed out, "Now hold still."

"Wait! You're going to put that thing in me?"

"Uh, yeah." Flash said, "Let's face it: You suck at fighting. So you're probably going to drop the bomb and then all we'll have is a crater and maybe even another portal to another dimension. One where there are probably those weird shadow things that some people freak out over."

Rock Lee walked into the room, "You mean the grimm from that one universe that's kinda adjacent to theirs?"

"No. This one's actually a threat. The Heartless!" Wally exclaimed, "That's what I was thinking of!"

"Aren't those only a threat because nobody has dealt with them?" Crona asked.

"Gah! Crona! Don't sneak up on us like that!"

"I was here the whole time." Crona shrugged before walking off to their round on patrol with Grif.

"Dang that kid can put Batman to shame." Wally shuddered before realizing something, "Hey, Lee?"

"Yeah?"

"Remind me to run Crona's mom's face on the asphalt if she ever shows up."

Church looked as startled as an A.I in a robot body could be, "Why?"

"When you dehumanize a person and try to turn them into a living weapon, you tend to get on my bad side." Flash said in a dark tone of voice.

"Why do I feel like I should be scared right now?" Church asked.

"Don't worry man. You're just a copy of the guy who did that… Wait, if he did it to a copy of himself, does that really count as torture, or something else?"

"Now that's a philosophical question for the ages." Lee said.

"Yeah… Now get over here, Church. We got a bomb to implant in you."

"Dammit. I was hoping you'd forget." Church grumbled.

The team consisted of Church, Caboose, Donut, Batgirl, Gwen, and Zuko. With everyone else providing cover and keeping civilians safe.

With everyone else protecting their own designated areas, it just left these seven fighters to get Church to the destination to detonate the bomb and hopefully close the portal. Then they could look for the others.

So… No pressure or anything. Just the fate of the multiverse was at stake.

"We really should have brought along some of the DC guys." Church mumbled.

"Uh, excuse me, do I not count?"

"Let me correct that: We should have brought along a DC guy with superpowers." Church stated, "I don't think you have much experience saving the multiverse."

"Caboose and I have experience. We have a lot of experience. Especially in getting into really tight places with a bunch of people!" Donut offered.

"God. I swear, you were not just a walking double entendre spouting machine back in Blood Gulch."

"Whatever. Caboose, that door's reinforced. Get us past it." Barbara instructed.

"Uh, what?"

"Caboose, Andy's on the other side of that door. We need to rescue him." Church bluntly said.

"Oh my gosh! Andy I'm coming!"

*CRASH!*

"Well that was a thing. How'd you know that would work?"

"It's Caboose." Church replied, "You just need to know how to talk to him."

"Hey… Where's Andy?"

"I'm almost afraid to ask…" Zuko sighed, "Who's Andy?"

"He's a bomb." Church replied.

"… A bomb." Gwen repeated, "Caboose went and tore down that metal door for a bomb. It's official! Your world is stupid." She flung a pile of debris towards some incoming Xenomorphs to vent some anger.

"This coming from the person who comes from a world where a spider bite gave her super powers?"

"Also, you're really only around because of a weird multiverse event where you got a lot of popularity."

"This coming from the girl who idolized and ended up having sex with a guy who's pretty much the same age as your own dad?"

"Fuck Bruce Timm."

"I'm also afraid to ask… Who's Bruce Timm?" Zuko asked as he incinerated several Xenomorphs.

"The guy who directed Batman's most famous animated adaptation." Barbara said, "He was an integral part in making a lot of iconic themes, relationships, and characters from my world like Harley Quinn and her relationship with Poison Ivy."

"Hey chicka bump bump." Caboose commented as he flung a Xenomorph into a wall, revealing the portal.

"Caboose, what have I told you about imitating Tucker?" Church scolded as he missed every single shot against a Xenomorph that was right in his face.

"… Not to…"

"Thought so."

"And he's also responsible for putting Barb here in a relationship with Bruce Wayne." Gwen pointed out.

"… That's gross. The only thing that would be weirder would be if he was her father." Zuko shuddered.

"Don't read some theories on what your dad did to Azula then." Barbara said.

"… You know what?- Given what else he did, it wouldn't surprise me." Zuko snarled, "Anyways, we're finally here. So… hop in Church."

"Ugh… This is going to suck."

"SCREECH GAMMA!" Crona shot a blast of sonic waves against some debris to further break them down to save some civilians, "Ooohh… I'd rather be in my room."

"Hey! You're doing great, kid. Don't worry about it." Grif said as he kept driving around. The Necromorphs were attacking this part of the city. And given that a lot of the others hadn't gotten enough time to repair their specialized modes of transport, many of them were forced to ride with others in order to ensure a rapid and effective response team for every area.

Which meant that Simmons was obviously following the rules of the road.

"I can't believe that me losing to Crona in Rock-Paper-Scissors meant that I had to ride with you." Shoto snarled.

"Steady driving is-"

"IS GOING TO LET INNOCENT PEOPLE GET SLAUGHTERED BY THESE MONSTERS!" Shoto shouted as he froze several Necromorphs, causing all their limbs to fall off and shatter.

"Ugh… I bet Church doesn't have to put up with-"

*BOOM!*

"Oh. I guess they did it."

"The portal's closing!" Flash exclaimed as the readings made it clear that the team they sent in was successful, "One last round of cleanup, and we can start looking for the others."
