I do not own TRANSFORMERS: RESCUE BOTS OR PRIME

Chapter 1

Cody limped into his room, he just made it back to the firehouse. He pulled out a small but well stocked first-aid kit from under his bed. Wincing as he slowly removing his signature jacket, revealing his forming bruises, scraped knees, hands, and elbows, as well as the deep scratches on his arms and legs. He was ambushed by the local bullies, they've been targeting him for two years now. They make fun of him, try to break his stuff, at least that's what it was at first but now they've been attacking him while saying "that if he was really a part of his "Family of Heros" then he would fight back and stop them" and other harsh words.

In reality Cody knew better than to fight back, for if he did than he would be no better then ones abusing him. He wants to become someone that will continue to bring honor and living up to their legacy as a "Family of Heroes". He wouldn't do anything that would dishonor that even fighting in self-defence for himself he would not do so. Which means as the bullies cruellity grew so did the worsening in his health. It's only been going on for a year but the full two years of bullying is taking a toll on him; if he was being completely honest with himself.

Cody disinfected his wounds then bandaged himself up, he was extremely grateful that they didn't attack him on a daily basis, otherwise he couldn't hide his wounds from all of his family, especially the bots. Not even his best friend Francine/Frankie Green knew about the bullying, nor her dad or her new soon-to-be mother (If her dad succeeds in wooing Professor Beranova), which he knows is going to happen.

Just as he was finishing on wrapping the last bandage on his leg, a few tears fell from his eyes. He tried to wipe them away with his least injured arm but they just kept coming until his mental barrier broke, he quickly climbed onto his bed after he locked the door and just cried. He clutched the last toy his mother had given to him before she died from breast cancer. It was of an orca, that his mom stitched "I'll love You Forever Cody, From Mommy" into its tail. She had only just finished it before she died, he was only five years old but he held onto every single memory of her. He really wished that she was still around, maybe she would listen to his problems instead of just brushing him off.

At first he tried explaining to his elder siblings but they waved him off saying that kids were just being kids, even when he showed them his skinned knee at the beginning of the torment. He tried to tell his father but he was always interrupted by an emergency call, he tried three times until he just stopped trying. When he went to the bots for advice, they really didn't understand no matter how they tried; but it could be that he didn't tell them the whole truth. He didn't want them to blow their cover by intimidating the group of bullies in order for them to leave him alone.

After an hour he calmed down, he left his room putting his favorite jacket back on. Quickly checking on where his family was judging by the cleanup of the latest disaster about three hours. He went down the fire pole until he landed into the bunker, using a small transporter to help him move four cubes of energon and placing them on a table at the bots' height including some energon goodies he asked Bumblebee to translate on how to make them, he then placed the container full of cookies he made at school. He then used it to place a large poster he made last night, since they worked he made a small appreciation party for his family.

Although he's enduring pain from older kids he still wants them to know that he loves them and grateful for their hard work. He spent the next three hours making a simple but still a good dinner, in the bunker. He had just finished writing all of cards for each of them, his wounds started to hurt as his painkillers were wearing off, he placed in his mother's favorite CD and set it on repeat at a moderate volume. For it wasn't just an appreciation party it was also a their mother's memorial and her birthday. She had died 8 years previously right on her birthday, he wanted to make sure they remember that.

With everything finished, he went upstairs to his room to quickly write down in his diary, one that he started after she died, when he was younger he use to think this was a way to continue speaking with his mother. Even now he still writes in the diary as if he's still speaking with her.

Hearing them coming back, he stuffed his book into his jacket then wrote a quick note and placed it on the table informing the others to go down to the bunker for dinner. He slid down the firepole, to greet everyone.

However, once he was in the garage all he heard was arguing, from all four bots to his dad and older siblings. As they just finished cleaning up a Dr. Morocco disaster, making everyone on edge.

He watched this for over 45 minutes, he decided to intervene, "Guys can all of you-" He start to speak but Kade cut him off.

"This doesn't concern you Cody! We just finished with a 5 hour disaster and cleanup, we don't have time for whatever you did at school!" Kade screamed at him.

Graham then spoke up, "We have to think of whys and what is up to." He completely dismissed his little brother, Boulder, Blades, and Chase nodding in agreement.

"Like they said Cody we have work to do, so go play somewhere else where you're not in the way!" Dani screamed with Heatwave nodding as well.

Even his father was upset, "Please Cody go do something else as we have to plan and strategize on what to do with Dr. Morocco." He dismissed his youngest, he spotted something purple on his cheek and neck with a few minor scratches on his other cheek. Charlie walked away completely distracted.

All of them were furious and distracted that they didn't see that by all of their words and actions had seriously hurt Cody. Hiding his tears he ran to the firepole that lowers into the bunker, as soon as he made to the entrance of the tunnels he fell to his knees and cried. He pulled out his diary and began to write to his mom.

Hi Mommy,

I know I just finished telling you about my day just earlier today, but I have to get this out, or I'll completely lose my mind. I just got yelled at by everyone from Kade, Graham, and Dani, the Rescue Bots, even DAD! I didn't do anything! All I want to show them to the small party I made in honor of your memory, as that's what today is. By the way, happy birthday momma. I also did stuff to show them that I appreciated all their hard work, that's all I wanted to do, I swear!

Why am I the only one who have to suffer all of their abuse and that of others. Look at that in my mad dash, I reopened several of my wounds, as the blood I see on the floor and on the paper, now that I'm looking at it, I can see some of my blood on the sign and table. I know I should be treating them again but... I don't want to... maybe feeling physical pain would be easier to endure than emotional and mental pain; after all it's been going on a year from the abuse I've been getting from those bullies these past two years. I've become ... use to it.

Mom, I'm gonna go to the far side of the island near Wayward Island, to stare at the stars, can I see you there? Please mommy, I could really use your presence. See you there.

Cody didn't wipe his tears away nor the blood coming from his scraped palm, as they fell onto his diary. He placed it next to the picture that was the last time his mom was with them before her cancer become terminal, he left his commtab and commlink there, he kept his phone with him but placed it on silent.

With a broken heart he entered the tunnels heading towards the clearing he took the bots to stare at the stars as its the best location to stargaze. As he walked, he didn't realize that the slash wound on his left leg was oozing blood, which traveled down his leg and shoe. He was leaving a trail of blood behind him. It took him 20 minutes, as he had memorized the the entire system of tunnels, allowing him to take many shortcuts to get there. Once he was there, at his favorite spot he just laid down and cried, using his jacket as a pillow. He turned on the camera on his phone so he could record the stars make a video he's going to make for himself, whenever he felt upset.

On Wayward Island

A Deception, turned semi-neutral, scientist known as Arrowhead, a seeker without a trine, he's been isolated for a while, he fled Cybertron like everyone else during the great Exodus. He joined the Deception cause mainly because of his experiments, while he's not completely insane/crazy or inhumane but he does do experiments that could be identified as dark.

He landed on an island the earthlings called Wayward Island. He had discovered that the island was uninhabited but the island next to it called Gryffin Rock, Maine did have inhabitants. He was hoping to find a young earthling so he can perform his new experiments on as he discovered younglings from ages 10-13 would be perfect for them. He was only a mile away from the island when he heard crying coming from a hill. Switching from flying to gliding. He landed behind some large trees that were able to hide him.

Looking through the branches he could see a youngling that's fits in his ideal age range. 'It's a boy, and he's crying. I wonder why... I will find out eventually,' Arrowhead thought to himself, as he pulled out a small collar that he created. He then slowly approached the child.

Cody's sobs lessened until he was just crying, with hiccups and exhaustion. He looked at the video which had about 10 minutes of video of the stars he was about to stop it when he heard large heavy footsteps coming towards him. Thinking it was one of the bots, he stood to his feet, "Guys, leave me alone! I don't want to go back home yet, so leave me alone." He said towards the noise, his voice full of sorrow.

"I'm not the ones you believe I am." A mechanical voice replied, as Arrowhead walked out of the trees.

Cody stared at the new Cybertronian he's never seen this bot before, "Who are you, you're not an Autobot," he asked as he stared at the insignia, not knowing it's the Deception's insignia.

Arrowhead narrowed his optics, 'So this child is in contact with the Autobots, this might become a problem.' He chuckled, "No young one, I'm a Neutral. I'm not a part of any faction." He lied slightly.

Cody tilted his head, "I didn't know there were any neutrals."

"There are several of us Cybertronians that are neutral in the great war. Tell me young one, why are you crying, also why are you injured?" Arrowhead asked him.

Cody flinched, "It's my mother's memorial and birthday today. I made dinner and dessert for my family; they've been working so hard, I didn't know if they remembered it so I did this for them. But when they came home... they... everyone... was very angry and took it out on me. When I was just going to tell them that I made dinner for them, my entire family took their anger out on me. Even my father, he's... never took his anger out on me before... I've been bullied by a group of older kids the last two years, this last year they been attacking me every other day. At first they only hit me a few times but now... they've been attacking me and they don't stop until they see me bleeding."

Arrowhead leaned against the trees, "That's pretty bad youngling. You just wanted to honor your carrier's death and show your appreciation of their hard work. Even if they are exhausted, frustrated, angry, worried, or all of the above. None of them should have took it out on you. Nor should those children taken their own jealousy out on you and attack you for absolutely no reason."

Cody looked at the blue, black, and silver Cybertronian jet, feeling slightly better after finally taking about what's been happening to him, "Thanks, for listening to me. What's your name?" he asked him.

Arrowhead walked towards him then kneeled in front of him, "I'm Arrowhead, and what's yours?"

"Cody Burns."

"Well Cody Burns, I don't think you would have to worry about it any more." Arrowhead said suddenly.

Cody looked at him, "What do mean?"

"This." Arrowhead shot at him with a stun bolt.

Cody screamed in pain as he fell to the ground, his phone fell to the ground still recording. He felt a large warm metal hand picking him up, then two fingers placing something around his neck, they moved towards his back rubbing up and down in a soothing motion.

"I'm sorry young one, but you fit the age range I need. Sleep, Cody." Arrowhead soothed him. Cody couldn't stay conscious any more, exhaustion and the rubbing of his back made it irresistible, so he fell asleep in the warm hand.

Cody's phone saved the video as it powered down, as it ran out of power. Arrowhead placed Cody placed him into his cockpit and took off for Wayward Island towards his ship.
