"I still don't see how you can't be happy here, Hiei. I know that it's a far cry from your demon realm, but that's no reason to be such a downer."
"I have no real reason to be happy here, Sparkle." Hiei snarled, "We are separated from our allies, there are only so many things we have here for food, and we still don't know what happened that caused us to all get stranded!"
"Hiei, calm down." Peach advised, "Getting angry will not solve anything. However, if you are so desperate for meat, there is a river nearby that has some fish in it. As well as a group of rabbits."
"Peach!"
"Relax, Twilight." Amy pointed out, "Rabbits breed like… Well, like rabbits. Three-Eyes over there can cut a few up and there would be plenty more where that came from."
"Ugh, I'll never understand you guys." Twilight mumbled, "But as much as I hate to admit it, Hiei is right. We can't exactly get too comfortable. For all we know, this place might not be as friendly as it looks."
"Heh, if that's the case, then I hope that you're right. A challenge would do me some good." Hiei chuckled. He left to go find some additional food.
"Ugh, I can never read that guy."
"Do you want to though?" Amy asked.
"Urghh…"
"These guys are finally waking up?" Ben asked as he kept fiddling with his alien watch, "Hey guys, are you feeling better?"
"… No." Kent muttered, "I cannot hear Nabu anymore. Strange, are you able to hear the Vishanti?"
"No. I can't call upon my full magical capabilities. Ben, what about-"
"I only got Wildvine back in my library two days ago. We've been here for a few weeks." Ben sighed.
"Well, that explains the senzu garden…" Strange said as he was getting up. Well, trying to anyways.
"Truth be told, we thought that you two would never wake up." Ben said, "You guys really can't get to your magic?"
"No. I do not know if it is because of this planet, this universe, or if it is something that is within our systems."
"Most likely something within us. Nabu lives outside of our universe." Kent pointed out, "If I can't hear him, it must be something that is wrong with us."
"Well, that doesn't exactly explain why I don't have all my old aliens." Ben said, "I'm more willing to pin it on the universe we're in rather than something that got in our systems. Maybe this place just doesn't like reality warpers."
"What makes you say that?"
"Well for starters, Johnny has zero issues with his powers." Ben said, "And the other thing is that my Omnitrix lost pretty much all data on Alien X."
"I doubt that it would matter…" Strange groaned as he pulled himself into a sitting position, "Isn't Alien X limited to only being as powerful as your average reality warper when he's in his home universe?"
"I'd like to think that he's above average on that part." Ben said, "But that's not really the main point. The Omnitrix doesn't even know what a Celestialsapien is anymore."
"So, you would need to scan one again?"
"Probably." Ben shrugged.
"Hey Ben, I'm back. Oh, Strange and Fate are up?- About time."
"Don't get too excited Cage." Kent warned, "We lost our ability to use magic."
"Ah. Well isn't that convenient." Cage groaned, "Anyways, I've been taking a look around. Good news: There's a lot of farm animals nearby at an abandoned village, so we can maybe start something there."
"Wait, an abandoned village? Why is it abandoned?"
"Well, that's the bad news." Cage continued, "I have no goddamn idea."
"Zombies?" Strange suggested.
"Doubt it. Everything looks like it was left in pretty good condition, so nobody left in a panic."
"So mind control then."
"Best to leave you out of the fight." Kent commented.
"I swear, you get hypnotized one time, and you can never live it down."
"I… How many people bring that up? I was commenting on how the rest of us have mental resistances to that. Fate and I are from comic books where that is basically the norm, and Cage does combat with Quan Chi."
"It's Kombat."
"That's what I said. Combat."
"No. Kombat. With a 'K.'"
"You can tell?" Ben asked.
"Of kourse I kan. Everyone from my world has that ability."
"Including one where you can substitute 'K' in words where it normally isn't in?" Kent asked.
"Yeah. Wait, you kan tell?"
"Of kourse. Krossovers, and guest fighters, remember?"
"Huh. Well, remind me to not ask you what your hypothetical fatalities would be." Johnny said, "Anyways, should we investigate that village I found?"
"We have nothing better to do."
"Careful. Atrophy might be setting in."
"It's only been a few weeks." Strange forced himself on his feet, "Besides. We're not completely helpless. I think I can still manage some mystical blasts and short-range teleportation."
"Healing magic and similar blasts as well." Kent noted, "As well as some old boxing lessons from Batman."
"Well, then let's move out.
Hiei's hunt was at a halt. The rabbit he had tracked down was giving off a strange aura of energy. Something… Demonic. He wasn't sure as to what that meant, but it was clear that it wasn't good.
Rabbits normally travelled in groups. So this one being alone was suspicious. Especially since it chose a rather strange place to make its stance.
A bear approached it with caution. Hiei narrowed his eyes. There was no reason for it to be cautious. The bear was bigger, and-
"SKRRAAAAHHHHHH!"
Hiei's eyes widened suddenly. The rabbit and the bear started to fight each other, with their midsections opening up to reveal several tentacles and razor-sharp teeth. With speeds that he could just narrowly track, the battle was over in mere moments. The rabbit was victorious, and had eaten the entire bear!
"*BURP!*"
Nearly the entire bear. He corrected as he saw the skull be tossed out of the creature's stomach.
This was not going to be as easy as he initially thought. And as much as he'd hate to admit it, he would need help in this.
Dude: The guys who were cut from Melee.
Wade: I shudder to face Pichu.
Pinkie: Guys, come on. I end up damaging myself all the time. Stop freaking out.
Dude: I kinda wish that I had gotten Dr. Mario instead of Young Link. And what are the odds that I'd end up with this color?
Wade: Like… one in eight?
Dude: Fair. But of all the characters, how did I end up with this?
Pinkie: Didn't you get Color Four when you randomly got Byleth?
Dude: Well that's not the poin- And I got carried to the blast zone. Figured as much.
Wade: And I got cheesed. How is this fair?
Pinkie: Wait, I wasn't paying attention, how did I win?
