Miguel O'Hara, AKA The Spider-Man of the year 2099, was no stranger to a world run by corporations. Neither was Murphy. Chun-Li, however, was rather in the dark about the whole thing.
"We can't keep this up for forever."
"Well, we have to deal with it. There's a bunch of those police drones out there, and we can't deal with every single one of them."
"We are operating on the assumption that their numbers are finite." Robocop said, "While I was recharging, I was able to access their databanks."
"That's great. What should we know?"
"Thankfully, it appears that I may be able to pass for a man in prototype armor that they have in the works. In addition, should we obtain I.D Cards, we may be able to forge some of our own, and be able to blend in better."
"Blend in with those Alchemax Wannabes? Ugh, that sounds like a shocking good time." Spider-Man muttered.
"We will have to deal with it." Murphy said, "If it helps, a quick raid of some of the guards should provide us with what we need."
"Undercover fascists." Chun-Li muttered, "I feel like that was in a movie I saw once."
"I think there might have been one, actually." Spider-Man said, "But for the life of me, I can't remember the name."
"It will have to wait." Murphy said, "My sensors indicate that three of these guards have entered the facility. It seems that we were not as stealthful as we initially thought."
Spider-Man brandished his claws, "Finally. I've been waiting for some action."
"Cool it, Miguel." Chun-Li pointed out, "We want to keep attention off of us. Tearing them apart would only make them go on the lookout for some suspicious individuals."
"Dammit, I hate it when you're right. How do we do this?"
Chun-Li looked around and saw a power box, "Perhaps we should take a page out of Batman's playbook." She smirked.
"Number 635, check that sector." One of the officers said, "634, make sure he doesn't frack this operation up."
"Right, 634." One of the officers, 635, replied.
*BWWMMM!*
"Frackit! Should've figured that the power would go out in this run-down piece of crap."
"635, 634, I'm going to find the fracking power box and fix the lights. You two hurry up and search the area for traitors to the state."
"Yeah yeah… Breachball…" He muttered as he went upstairs to look for the power box. Why the building codes required them on upper floors was beyond him, but whatever.
*THWIP!*
"Wait. What was that?"
*THWIP!*
"Okay guys, this seriously isn't funny. What the hell is going on-"
636 didn't have time to finish his sentence as he was knocked back by a floorboard and into-
"What the! A giant web!? I can't get loose! 635! 634! Get in here now!"
636 was not answered.
"INSUBORDINATES! I'LL HAVE YOUR BADGES FOR- this?" He saw that his two companions were now suddenly tossed upstairs by an unknown force, paralyzed and with puncture wounds on their shoulders.
"What the… What happened to them- AUGH! MY EYES! WHAT IS THIS STUFF?! I CAN'T SEE! I CAN'T SEE!"
636's only comfort was a hand on his shoulder, one that was distinctly clawed and certainly did not feel human. The armor was carefully removed and then he felt a pair of fangs bite down on his shoulder, and he found himself unable to move.
Be it the terror, or the pain, he blacked out.
"They had some spares on them. Let's get to hacking. Lyla, think we can hack them?"
"On it."
"Alright then," Chun-Li said, "Let's get moving. The longer we stay here the more likely we're going to run into some more of these goons."
"Lyla's modifying them. Incidentally, their cyber security system stinks. Pretty sure that Thor could pull it off, and he's a guy who doesn't use computers."
"Wasn't he a doctor or something?" Chun-Li asked.
"Shock if I remember. He's got some confusing lore to him."
"This coming from a Spider?" Chun-Li asked.
"If we could have this discussion later, that would be preferable." Murphy said, "We can hide out in the sewers."
"Ugh. Why is it always the sewers? You'd never see the FF in the sewers. Or the Avengers. Or the X-Men."
"What about the Defenders?" Chun-Li asked.
"Well, maybe the Hulk…" Miguel admitted.
Pinkie: So uh… Where exactly did this whole labyrinth Mansion come from?
Alexis: Chirp chirp tweet…
Pinkie: Okay. So you didn't make it. And X and Wade couldn't have made it since they were busy with that Link vs. Cloud smash game. And I know that I didn't make it.
Alexis: Chirp chirp tweet?
Pinkie: What? No. It can't be Big Head. The Author melted him with Dip, soaked him with a sponge, and then locked that sponge in an adamantium box that was sealed in Minecraft Bedrock that was then further sealed in Dip and surrounded by a hardlight barrier that's generated by a perpetual motion machine. He couldn't have gotten out. Right?
