As the summer were coming to a close as the recently graduated former Degrassi students were heading towards their respective universities while Paige Michalchuk who was planning her going away party inviting her nearest and dearest before being Banting bound.Hazel Aden who was sat across from the blonde nursing a strawberry milkshake,she was about to start TU studying psychology she wanted to become a therapist she wanted to help others and give them a safe space but also she was going to have fun at university hope to find someone since her and Jimmy broke up despite them being in a healthy relationship for about 3 years and She was there through everything especially after the shooting which lead him in a paralysed and in a wheelchair. "So the party is tomorrow?" Hazel sips on the milkshake while Paige has a banana milkshake the palms of her hands."That okay hun you can still make it to my going away bash?" Paige grins brightly as Hazel's matched they were both single and entering a new chapter of their lives as the two former Co captains of spirit squad, Paige insisted on spending last remaining days here to celebrate, "You should invite some people if you want" the blonde added."I'll think about it besides this bash going to be a party of a century we got to look out outfits" She grins which made Paige very happy she enjoys retail therapy.Meanwhile elsewhere Sean Cameron was back in Toronto from being in Wasaga Bay where he has moved back in with his parents now he's living with Jay who he used to hang out with back when he was dating Ellie but now that's in the past."I'm telling you if I can get you a job at the auto shop the chick's be begging to get their car fixed" Jay with his usual banter."Sounds tempting but I want to forcus on graduating" Sean wanted to be the first to graduate and thankfully Ms Hatzilakos agreed to enrol Sean back at Degrassi if he kept his grades up and stayed out of trouble. Jay faked yawning, "Well how about tonight we go to the races, look at cars, have fun before I lose you to school" he laughs, shaking his head as him and Sean get to work on the junk of a car.Later that evening Sean was about to drive to the races when he noticed a familiar face it was Hazel he couldn't believe it he always thought she was really pretty but she was with Jimmy, "Hey princess" a nickname since they both been in detention together along with Jimmy, Ellie and Toby and it felt they were in the Breakfast Club.Hazel looks up and notices Sean so she walks over, "That makes you John Benderam I correct?" She giggles."Of course Claire Standish" he plays along.They both laugh, "So you are back in Toronto?" That evening they were at the races Alex nudges Sean; "Not even 48 hours back already" she playfully shoves his arms the last time she saw him was just before he left for Wasaga Bay which was after everything that happened. Sean's eyes were fitted On Hazel when he snapped back to reality when he heard Alex, "Oh Hazel? We're just friends" he tried to explain but his blushing was making it obvious.He was supposed to be the bad boy, the one who doesn't always show his feelings but maybe he wasn't the same old Sean anymore how he's sporting longer hair and showing his biceps but who can blame him he's been working out a lot more and he's ready for a fresh start. Hazel walks up to Sean and Alex with her beautiful smile she could feel her heart pounding and there's definitely butterflies in her stomach. "Hey guys, thanks for inviting me Sean" she glances at Sean who has a sly smile plastered on his face.Sean who stood up from the hood of a car with so much confidence In his stature "It's my pleasure Hazel and you know we could always hang out anytime right?" He grins. Hazel giggles trying to play off the fact she's blushing so much "Oh of course I enjoy hanging out with you" she answered as their eyes met with so much administration. At that moment Jay comes up "Sean quit talking to pretty girls and gets into a car to start racing" he teases he could tell Sean was crushing on Hazel. Sean sighs he wanted to talk to Hazel longer "Sorry Hazel guess that's my cue" he fake pouts making him even more attractive to Hazel.She grins, shaking her head "No you're good now go win that race" she cheered him on watching Sean get into a car as she sat next to Alex. As the race was in full swing Hazel turned to Alex "Hey sorry about you and Paige I know she really liked you" she was sympathetic she knew how important Alex was to Paige. Alex shook her head "It's fine I think we just weren't meant to be different goals but she was still very important she helped me realise that I'm a lesbian and I couldn't thank her enough".""I get that if you are with someone who means a lot sometimes life happens" she understood she was with Jimmy so long. "You're right and I hope this means we can be friends?" Alex was very wary of who her friends were, maybe because she mainly hung out with guys and the last female friend went after her ex but that probably helped her in the long run with her sexuality since she was never into Jay in the first place."I think we can be here for fresh starts" Hazel grins so brightly.After the race is over Sean walks Hazel home. It was a very warm August night but there was a hint of autumn freshness that was upon them, they talked and laughed now at Hazel's door."Well I had a lot of fun thank you" Hazel looks up at Sean with a smile as she gazes into his eyes deeply but so was he."Me too it was so nice hanging out with you" he glances at her lips he wanted to kiss her so badly and so did she.A few moments of gazing they learned their lips met, kissing as Sean caressed her face and Hazel hands on his biceps, as their tongues were added to deepen the kiss.After they pulled away for air catching their breaths, "Wow" she was very impressed with how good that was."I know" Sean responds as he grins before responding again, "I'll see you tomorrow then?" "I'll see you tomorrow Sean, goodnight" she opens her front door walking in her house.Sean watches her walk in her house. His heart beats fast. He was falling for the beautiful girl he always thought was pretty and had detention with that one time but now he knows for sure.
