The day started out as normal for the trio of Anakin Skywalker, the former Darth Vader; Obi-Wan Kenobi, the nomadic Jedi; and Luke Skywalker, the son of the Chosen one.
Traveling in the freezing cold was not a thing that any of them enjoyed, but the power of The Force kept them from completely freezing to death.
The trio kept walking along the frozen tundra, and were forced to use their Lightsabers to create fires… No matter how long it took for them to ignite something…
… And no matter how short a lifespan the fire would have in the freezing cold.
They didn't really know if there was a good destination or not. They simply knew that wherever they were heading would be better than where they were. They needed shelter, and hopefully a cave or any kind of location would be more suitable than simply staying outside in the cold.
The only thing they could do was reminisce about the days prior to this event, and Obi-Wan and Anakin would often retell some of their past adventures while Luke listened, and the two would in turn, listen to his stories of after Palpatine was defeated.
They reminisce about the best of times. The worst of times. And all the times in between.
Along the way, they picked up a strange crystal that glowed. If anything, it helped them find their way back to their many makeshift campsites when one of them would venture out for food.
While the debates on whether or not the Jedi were at fault had died down considerably, the subject was still a touchy one for both Anakin and Obi-Wan.
They had to kill the wildlife to create makeshift sleeping bags to keep warm. As well as use their hides for clothing as well.
Their coats were thick, and their resolve to survive was durable.
However, it was slowly being chipped away at each blizzard, and the frequency of said blizzards was… Unsettling.
That was the first day after they had found the crystal. They didn't know why, but they knew, without even needing to discuss it, that this crystal was important.
When they encountered a beast far larger than what it would take to defeat.
After a harsh battle, they were able to create a temporary shelter by using its corpse.
It smelled pleasant, at least in comparison to the previous hides they had to take shelter in. They had a bit more freedom to reminisce and recount when they were resting.
They would reminisce about Ahsoka. They would reminisce about Han Solo. They would reminisce about Master Yoda.
They would reminisce about Count Dooku, General Grievous, Admiral Thrawn. The many battles (and in Anakin's case, arguments) they had with them.
It did not matter how hard the journey was, the trio kept moving across the frozen desert. Having to use their lightsabers to make and sterilize clean drinking water, survival was top priority. But even more so was staying together and trying to keep their spirits up.
If there was one thing that they could all collectively agree on, it was that this would not be their last stand.
They would make it home.
They would fight to the end.
Damn whatever being that put them there in the first place.
Even if they did not know it, Master Yoda had prayed for the Force to be with them, and guide them on their journey.
Now the only factor was their own will.
