Blake punched her way out of the rubble, lamenting the situation that she was in.
"How the hell did I let them get in my head?" She grumbled as she dug around in the rubble for her earpiece. It had fallen out of her ear in the fight, so reestablishing communication with the base was top priority.
"Blake! Blake, come in! What's going on?"
"I'm here, Barb. What's up?"
"Thank goodness. What happened? You got cut out for a while there."
Blake sighed, "I tried to attack Madera…"
"Seriously, Blake? You should know that he's way above your power level. What was he up to anyways? I thought he was just living in the woods, away from civilization in general with Aizen."
"He was using his Genjuitsu or on Storm and Yoda for some reason. Maybe. He carried them off for some reason. Hit me with one before he figured that I wasn't worth it."
"… What did you see, Blake?"
"Pardon?"
"Get back to base. I'm scheduling an appointment with Harley."
"But… Ororo and Yoda!"
"Blake. Now! I'm dispatching Wally to get Ororo and Yoda."
"So, what's troublin' ya, hon?"
Blake sighed, "I guess… It's just… I feel hopeless. There's a lot of threats out there, and I'm here moping that Yang is off being a couple with… Tifa."
Harley sighed, "Look kid: I don't know much about Yang outside of what you told me and those old records, but she seemed like the kind of girl who didn't really know how to be loved. And while I'm not sayin' that the relationship she has with Tifa or you is bad, the point is that you need to be more confident in your own feelings, just like her."
"It still doesn't seem fair though. I knew her for longer. Why does Tifa get to be in a relationship with her?"
"Maybe it's what she needs right now. She's been here without you for a long time."
"That's not my fault though!" Blake argued, "I wasn't selected for an episode until-"
"And you can't exactly put that sort of blame on Yang or Tifa. That bartender girl was more or less all she had for years, and she had no way of knowing if the feelings she had for you were reciprocated or not."
Blake faltered. On some level, she knew Harley was right. She had taken a long time. Maybe too long. She wondered if there was any hope for her and Yang to get back tog-
"- And if all else fails, Yang's got two hands."
"Wait what?"
"I said-"
Blake was blushing so hard that she very well could have been considered to be a tomato, "N-No! I heard what you said. It's just… What possessed you to say that?!"
Harley shrugged, "Simple. You still care for her, and she cares for you. And from what I've seen from those records, it really looked like Tifa was more disappointed in you than actually angry."
"Disappointed in what?"
"Leavin'." Harley pointed out, "But the fact that you came back, and were probably the first one to come back in your world probably helped out a bit."
"Still-"
"Kid. You're young and in love. And I'm sure that you're still going to get together with her in the end."
Blake cooled off a bit, "It's just… I don't really feel worthy of her…"
"I'm sure she feels the same way, kid." Harley reassured, "Dini knows I've had plenty of times when I felt like I wasn't good enough to be good. But that's what life is about. Tryin' to figure life out and be better. It doesn't work for everyone, but that's the goal anyways."
Blake looked away.
"Something else givin' ya trouble?"
"I'm just worried about what Madara was doing with Storm and Yoda."
"With Wally on the case. They'll be fine. Have some faith."
"There were significantly better ways for you to ask for our help." Storm pointed out.
"Couldn't risk it. I needed your ability to provide a cloud cover, and the little one's ability to mask our presence." Madara said, "This robotic force is deadly, and it can adapt to most abilities- provided that they can detect us that is."
"A resemblance to Sentinels, there is." Yoda said, "A Mutant such as Ororo, they will find."
"They haven't seen us yet." Madara pointed out, "These machines are disturbing mine and Aizen's peaceful isolation. Unfortunately, he won a coin toss, so I was the one to retrieve you."
"Blake was in the area where you abducted us. She probably reported back and they're likely to send reinforcements." Storm pointed out, "I certainly hope that your plan didn't involve allowing them to be a distraction."
"Very wise, Gordon is. Likely to be sent, a speedster is."
"It had better be Wally…" Storm grumbled.
"Do any of you fly jets?"
"No. Why do you ask?"
Storm's question was answered when the jet landed in the clearing and shifted its shape from a jet to a robot, much to her irritation.
"Part Transformer, these machines are. Of robots in disguise, we must be wary of." Yoda observed.
