The cool September air swept through the towering stone corridors of Hogwarts as first-year students hurried to their classes. Rez walked silently, his hands tucked into the pockets of his black jacket. The castle was enormous, ancient, and filled with secrets—secrets he intended to uncover.

Rez wasn't like most of the other students. Sure he doesn't follow school dress code he doesn't wear the Hogwarts uniform and black robes but he wears a black leather jacket with a white Dress shirt and a dark Green dress vest and his Slytherin tie is loose with black dress pants and Black running shoes. He had grown up in New York more accurately The Bronx which is far from the magic and wonder of this world. his Mother and Older Brother Were Murdered right in front of him, and he and his little sister had been abandoned by his father, and then—by fate or luck—they have been adopted by Severus Snape. It was strange having a father figure again, especially when that father figure was also his strict Potions professor and Defense against the Dark arts professor. But Rez didn't dwell on it too much; he had bigger concerns.

He wasn't sure what to make of Hogwarts yet. It was grand, full of history, but something about it felt… off. Maybe it was the way some students whispered in corners, the way the portraits seemed to be listening, or maybe it was the way Merula Snyde had already tried to pick a fight with him twice in the past week.

Rez sighed. He wasn't looking for trouble. But trouble always seemed to find him.

He turned a corner toward his next class when he heard an argument up ahead.

"Back off, Snyde," a sharp voice said. "You're not as tough as you think."

Rez peered around the corner. A girl with long black hair, brown skin, and wore glasses. She is wearing regularHogwarts Ravenclaw uniformrobesShe was glaring at Merula Snyde the girl with short and messy brown hair, with an orange coloured patch in the bangs and She has thick furrowed eyebrows and Lavender eyes Her stockings have had a hole around her left kneecap and she wore Slytherin robes as well as black combat boots, and she had her usual smug expression.

"Oh? And what are you going to do about it, Khanna?" Merula sneered.

The girl—Rowan, if Rez recalled correctly—adjusted her glasses. "Unlike you, I actually study. And I know that if you hex me, I'll just report you, and you'll get detention."

Merula scoffed. "As if I care about detention."

Rez stepped forward. "Then maybe you should care about not making enemies on your first week."

Both girls turned to look at him. Merula narrowed her lavender eyes. "And who invited you into this conversation, Kenway?"

"I invited myself," Rez replied coolly, meeting her glare. "You're just wasting your time trying to prove something."

Merula huffed, clearly irritated. "Whatever. You're both beneath me anyway." With that, she turned and walked away, her combat boots echoing against the stone floor.

Rowan let out a breath. "Wow, you really don't like her, huh?"

Rez shrugged. "She's not my problem."

Rowan adjusted her bag and grinned. "I like the way you handled her. I'm Rowan, by the way."

"I know. You're in Ravenclaw," Rez replied.

Rowan raised an eyebrow. "And you're in Slytherin. Kind of odd that you're not on Snyde's side."

Rez smirked. "I don't take sides. I just do what makes sense."

Rowan studied him for a moment, then nodded. "I like that. I think we're going to get along."

As the weeks passed, Rowan and Rez grew closer. She was the first real friend he made at Hogwarts, despite their different houses. Rowan loved books and research, and Rez found her intelligence refreshing. She, in turn, was fascinated by his quiet, observant nature.

One evening, as they studied in the library, Rowan leaned in and whispered, "I think Hogwarts has secrets—real secrets."

Rez raised an eyebrow. "Of course it does. It's over a thousand years old."

"No, I mean dangerous secrets." She looked around before lowering her voice. "I heard rumors about hidden places, strange artifacts, and… people who might not be what they seem."

Rez leaned back in his chair and put his feet on the table with his hands behind his head. He had suspected something similar. His instincts told him there was more to this castle than just magic lessons and Quidditch matches.

"Interesting," he murmured.

Rowan grinned. "I knew you'd be into this. Let's investigate together."

Rez smirked. "Alright. But if we get caught, you're taking the blame."

Rowan rolled her eyes. "Deal."

And with that, the first chapter of their friendship—and their hunt for the secrets of Hogwarts—began.
