I groan, my back throbbing as I open my eyes. I wince, looking around and quite quickly I wish I was still asleep and unaware. Familiar pepper pots fill the room I'm in each busy doing their own thing with their shrill voice screeching information or orders. One approaches me, their weapon raised high as it corners me. I stand staring in shock at the Dalek.

"You, you're all meant to be dead. You should have died in the Time War!" I exclaim, in disbelief. It doesn't respond, only one near a screen screeches,

"Alert. Alert. We are detected."

"It is the Doctor. He has located us. Open communications channel." Another announces, a small thrum of hope flows through me.

"The female will stand. Stand!" the one next to me orders, I stand straight stumbling I see the knife I had brought with me discarded near my ankle and I quickly grab it as it shoves me with its plunger, guiding me to the centre of the room in front of a large screen.

"I will talk to the Doctor." one orders, the Doctor suddenly appears on the screen I feel myself relax slightly, even with the Daleks weapon digging painfully into my injury.

"Oh, will you? That's nice. Hello!" the Timelord remarks, his carefree nature only infuriating the pepper pots.

"The Dalek stratagem nears completion. The fleet is almost ready. You will not intervene." it orders.

"Oh, really? Why's that, then?" Doc questions, tilting his head innocently.

"We have your associate." it points out, causing the one behind me to shove me slightly. I wince as it's weapon digs into my gash. "You will obey or she will be exterminated."

Fury suddenly washes over the Doctors face, "No."

"Explain yourself."

"I said no." Doctor responds, his voice growing louder.

"What is the meaning of this negative?" the Dalek questions, not understanding.

"It means no." he snaps.

"But she will be destroyed."

"No!" the Timelord shouts, growing heated. "Because this is what I'm going to do. I'm going to rescue her. I'm going to save my Alula Smith from the middle of the Dalek fleet. And then I'm going to save the Earth, and then, just to finish off, I'm going to wipe every last fucking Dalek out of the sky!" he swear earning a raised brow from me.

"But you have no weapons, no defences, no plan." the Dalek retorts.

"Yeah. And doesn't that scare you to death." he replies, his eyes then move to me. "Little Star?"

"Yes, Doc?" I reply, my voice wavering.

"I'm coming to get you." he promises, his voice soft but filled with drive. The screen then turns black, the call cut off.

"The Doctor is initiating hostile action." one Dalek screeches.

"The stratagem must advance. Begin the invasion of Earth!"

"The Doctor will be exterminated!" others shout out.

"Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate!" they all start chanting. I stand shoving the knife into the waist of my trousers and wrapping my arms around my torso unfiltered worry and fear for the Doctor filling my being. Suddenly on Dalek turns to me.

"You know the Doctor. You understand him. You will predict his actions." it orders. I flinch as it waves it's weapon at me.

"No." I snap, shaking my head and tightening my arms around my torso in an effort to hide my trembling.

"Predict! Predict! Predict!" it screeches, its weapon becoming too close for comfort.

"Tardis detected in flight." another one reports.

"Launch missiles. Exterminate." the one next to me orders, it's eye stalk swivelling from me to the other Dalek. I clench my jaw shut, hoping and praying that they have something up their sleeves. To my surprise the Tardis starts to materialise around me and my Dalek guard, the forms of the Doctor, Jack and Rose solidifying as they materialise around me.

"Luna, get down!" Rose shouts, I quickly drop myself to the floor just as the Dalek points and shoots at me,

"Exterminate!" thankfully I moved in time and it misses, Jack retaliates quickly shooting at the Dalek with a weapon I hadn't seen before taking the Dalek out. I quickly scramble to my feet.

"You did it." I state, a small wavery smile on my face as the Doctor quickly wraps me in a hug. I tremble slightly, shoving my head in the crook of his neck.

"I told you I'd come get you." he responds, rubbing a hand over my back. I hold back a wince as he brushes over my wound. But he doesn't seem to notice.

"Never doubted it." I reply, we pull away as he presses his forehead against mine.

"I did. Are you alright?" he admits, I nod.

"Yeah. You?" I lie.

"Not bad, been better." he replies, I smile softly at him. I could see the stress in his eyes. "I thought I lost you." he admits. My breath catches as I gaze into his eyes.

"Takes more than that to kill me." I joke, anymore soft words and comforts though is cut off by Jack,

"Hey, don't I get a hug?" I turn to him giggling.

"Come here then." I hold my arms up to him, he hugs me back whilst joking,

"I was talking to him." I laugh loudly pulling away from the hug, "Welcome home little moon." he states, patting my head

"Oh, I thought I'd never see you again." Rose cries out, taking me in a hug for her. I smile while hugging her back with equal worry.

Jack inspects his gun before throwing it to the side, "Oh, you were lucky. That was just a one shot wonder. Drained the gun of all its power supply. Now it's just a piece of junk." I nod, worry fills me. That leaves us with no weapons and a shit tone of Daleks.

"You said they were extinct. How comes they're still alive?" Rose questions looking over at the Doctor.

"One minute they're the greatest threat in the Universe, the next minute they vanished out of time and space." Jack states, looking over at the Timelord as well.

"They went off to fight a bigger war. The Time War." Doc pauses, I can see the tension in his shoulders. I gently walk over taking his hand and leaning into his shoulder.

"I thought that was just a legend."

"I was there. The war between the Daleks and the Time Lords, with the whole of creation at stake. My people were destroyed, but they took the Daleks with them. I almost thought it was worth it." he replies, his eyes becoming misty, "Now it turns out they died for nothing." he adds bitterly.

"There's thousands of them now. We could hardly stop one." Rose points out, I look up at him before softly asking,

"What're we going to do?"

The Doctor suddenly snaps his head up, all sadness gone and replaced with a carefree persona, "No good stood round here chin wagging. Human race, you'd gossip all day. The Daleks have got the answers. Let's go and meet the neighbours." he cheerfully states before heading out the Tardis doors.

"You can't go out there!" Rose exclaims, I don't say anything though, keeping a hold of his hand and walking out with him.

The second we leave the safety of the blue box, the screeches of the Daleks sound up again, "Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate!" the angry pepper pots fire at us, only their lasers don't hit. Stopped by a force field that was about 2 meters away from the Tardis.

"Is that it? Useless! Nul points." the Doctor antagonises, turning to Jack and Rose, "It's all right, come on out. That force field can hold back anything."

"Almost anything." Jack pipes up and I face plant.

"Yes, but they didn't need to know that. Thanks." I groan sending him a small glare.

"Sorry." he mumbles.

The Doctor continues though, "Do you know what they call me in the ancient legends of the Dalek Homeworld? The Oncoming Storm." he grows angrier, stepping forwards away from us his hand releasing mine. His voice deep and dark sending shivers through me as he challenges, "You might've removed all your emotions but I reckon right down deep in your DNA, there's one little spark left, and that's fear. Doesn't it just burn when you face me?" the Daleks collectively roll backwards, "So tell me. How did you survive the Time War?"

"They survived through me." a new voice calls, a light turns on revealing a monstrosity. A large Dalek in an open casing a blue toned one eyed mutant sits in a jar watching us. The entire apparatus resembles a throne.
With no open reaction the Doctor calls out, "Rose, Captain, this is the Emperor of the Daleks."

"You destroyed us, Doctor. The Dalek race died in your inferno, but my ship survived, falling through time, crippled but alive." the Emperor explains, its voice all robotic-like and screechy like a Daleks.

"I get it." Doc starts, but is quickly interrupted as all the other Daleks screech,

"Do not interrupt."

"I think you're forgetting something. I'm the Doctor, and if there's one thing I can do, it's talk." he snaps, his voice growing louder, "I've got five billion languages, and you haven't got one way of stopping me. So if anybody's going to shut up, it's you!" he roars, the Daleks all stop, a couple rolling a bit further back. He quickly switches his tone to happy and carefree. "Okey doke. So, where were we?"

"We waited here in the dark space, damaged but rebuilding. Centuries passed, and we quietly infiltrated the systems of Earth, harvesting the waste of humanity. The prisoners, the refugees, the dispossessed. They all came to us. The bodies were filtered, pulped, sifted. The seed of the human race is perverted. Only one cell in a billion was fit to be nurtured." the Emperor explained, I grow horrified at what they had done.

"So you created an army of Daleks out of the dead of humanity." I ask, horrified. "That makes you half human." I point out stepping forwards gaining confidence.

"Those words are blasphemy." the Emperor screeches, the other Daleks all screeching, "Do not blaspheme."

"Everything human has been purged. I cultivated pure and blessed Dalek." the Emperor continues, sounding manic.

"Since when did the Daleks have a concept of blasphemy?" the Doctor questions looking around at the Daleks his eyes slowly widening.

"I reached into the dirt and made new life. I am the God of all Daleks!" it screeches.

"Worship him! Worship him! Worship him!" the Daleks chant, rolling closer to us.

"They're insane." Doc mumbles in horror, "Hiding in silence for hundreds of years, that's enough to drive anyone mad. But it's worse than that. Driven mad by your own flesh. The stink of humanity. You hate your own existence. And that makes them more deadly than ever. We're going." he quickly turns, ushering us back inside the Tardis.

"You may not leave my presence." the Emperor cries out, causing the other Daleks to cry out for us to stay and the good ole Exterminate.

The Daleks start up their firing, futile trying to shoot at us as we close the Tardis doors."Exterminate! Exterminate!" they cry, their screeches heard through the closed doors. Jack and Rose move to nearer the console, whilst the Doctor rests his head against the doors. I can see his shoulders shake ever so slightly, the sight tugging at my heart. I gently approach him, wrapping my arms around his waist whilst leaning my head against his back. I hold him tightly as he shakes, gently moving one of my hands up and down his torso. He relaxes into my touch standing up straighter and turning around in my arms. He hugs me tightly nuzzling his face into my hair, as he sighs.

"It's going to be alright. I promise." I whisper, making sure only he can hear me. I'm not sure how I will keep this promise but I will. He takes a deep breath giving me a soft squeeze before pulling away. All anguish gone as he rushes around the console, taking us away.

I turn to the rest of the Tardis gang,

"So what do we know?" I ask, pulling off the almost military jacket revealing the tight white tank stop and the hilt of the knife. I shift my shoulder feeling the dried blood from the gash on my back.

"We're back on Platform One, turns out the Daleks have been controlling this place ever since Doc over here shut it down." Jack explains, leaning on a nearby Y-beam his arms crossed. I frowned thinking about the time with Cathica and Suki. And that God awful alien on the roof. I look over watching as the Doctor pilots the Tardis, his body not holding the usual cheerful nature and happiness.

"We were all separated into games, the Daleks controlled the place but this woman who was wired up like a computer helped us." Rose adds, moving over to me. "The games were horrible. Do you know which one you were in?" I quickly look away, Jack and even the Doctor were looking over at us curiously. I bite back tears, the sight of the blood pouring from the man swarms my mind. His screams of terror. His pleading. Then his blames. My breathing comes quick as I begin to spiral, my eyesight becomes blurry I can't see anything. My hand wraps around the knife as I try to breathe, hands grab my arms causing me to jolt away with a shout. I pull the knife out, backing away whilst furiously wiping my face with my hands trying to see clearly. I can't breathe. I can't focus. I need to get out. I need to win.

I repeat it like a mantra as I hold the knife in front of me swiping when the figures get to close causing them to jump back. The wound on my back throbbing harder and the harsh movements causes the wound to reopen.

"Alula!" someone shouts, my mind faintly picking up on it in my terror filled haze. My eyes search to find who said it, my eyes meeting the Doctors. My hand trembles my knife still raised as I watch him slowly approach me, his hands raised as if I were an animal. "Alula. You're fine. You're okay." he calmly states, approaching me, his hand wraps around the knife gently prying it from my hands. I only then notice the blood covering my hands and the knife, it felt sticky as it was drying already.

"I- I can't breathe." I choke, my chest heaving as my gaze clings to his. His eyes soften as he gently reaches for me, grasping my shoulders tightly.

"Breathe with me." he calmly whispers, I obey copying his inhales and exhales. At first it didn't work but eventually I calm my chest no longer heaving. A tear rolls down my tear stained cheeks as I slowly relax.

"I was in- they made me- he was gonna." I'm unable to finish sentences, none of it made sense as I shake. "The Hunted." I manage to form, the words harsh on my lips as I feel the throbbing on my left side of my back grow.

Jack gasps somewhere nearby, he says something causing the Doctor's eyes to harden as he pulls me into a hug. I cling to him, my blood covered hands clinging to him as I calm down fully. I manage to pull away.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what happened it was like I was back there." I start, looking around at my three closest friends.

"You had a panic attack." the Doctor states, rubbing my back; I wince as he runs his hand over the wound gasping as I jolt away from his hand. He freezes, pulling his hand away to look at the blood covering it. His eyes widen as he quickly spins me, his hands pulling my tank top up, revealing the injury. "What! Alula you should have said something!"

"I couldn't even feel it until now. I almost forgot it happened." I reply, twisting trying to see it.

"Who did this?" he asks, his voice low as he runs his hand around the edge of it trying to assess the damage.

"Some guy with a machete. He- I-" I pause taking in a deep breath. "It was either me or him."

Doc looks up at me, his eyes filled with pain. He returns to the wound, his hands laying over the wound; it try to see but only see glowing gold sort of light.

"What are you doing?" I whisper, feeling like it was a bad idea.

"Healing you." he replies, and I feel the flesh closing. Feel the pain slowly leaving. "I'm giving you some of my regeneration energy."

His words cause me to jolt away, the glowing stops.

"You can't do that!" I exclaim, running a hand awkwardly over the sort of healed wound, it was closed and felt raised. I turn to him holding his face in my hands, "Thank you so much. But don't ever give away your life to heal my injuries. I would have healed eventually."

He raises a hand gently laying it over my own on his face, "I would give it all away if it meant helping you."

My eyes widen slightly, a small blush rising as I watch him. He can't say, nothing can ever happen between us, and then go and say things like that. He gently squeezes my hand before pulling away, my hand dropping from his face. I watch as he races around the console, quickly taking the TARDIS back to Platform 500. We all run out of the time machine, racing over to the centre of the room where a few people were waiting.

"Turn everything up. All transmitters full power, wide open. Now! Do it!" Doc orders quickly, looking at the man who worked here.

"What does this do?" the bloke replies, obeying the order.

"Stops the Daleks from transmatting on board. How did you get on? Did you contact Earth?" the Doctor rapid fires the questions turning to give the man his full attention.

The man hesitates before replying, frustration filling his voice, "Well, we tried to warn them, but all they did was suspend our license because we stopped the programmes."

"And the planet's just sitting there, defenceless." Doc added running a hand down his face, he turns catching sight of a small blonde woman; I focus on her confused, "Lynda, what're you still doing on board? I told you to evacuate everyone."

"She wouldn't go." the man earlier explains.

"Didn't want to leave you." the blonde woman replies looking up at the Doctor with these love sick puppy dog eyes. I stuff down the burning jealousy that rippled through me as I clench my jaw.

Eventually the Dalek fleet approaches and the Doctor manages to come up with one of his ideas,

"A Delta Wave." he states as Jack questions him.

"What's a Delta Wave?" Rose asks, looking at our two men confused. I shrug standing next to the Doctor.

"A wave of Van Cassadyne energy. It fries your brain. Stand in the way of a Delta Wave and your head gets barbecued." Jack graphically describes.

"Lovely." I murmur, wrapping my arms around my torso as I shiver slightly, the cold air nipping my bare arms. Doctor absently steps closer his arm wrapping around my shoulder as he adds to Jack's response.

"And this place can transmit a massive wave. Wipe out the Daleks!"

I hold back an eye roll as the blonde woman, Lynda it turns out, chirps, "Well, get started and do it then."

"Trouble is, wave this size, building this big, brain as clever as mine, should take about, oh, three days?" Doc rambles, his hands absently rubbing up and down my arm, "How long till the Fleet arrive?" he asks the man, Pavale.

"Twenty two minutes." he informs gulping slightly.

All of us were knelt tearing wires and stripping them of the plastic. Jack's voice breaks through my concentration,

"We've now got a forcefield so they can't blast us out of the sky, but that doesn't stop the Daleks from physically invading." his statement sends a bolt of fear through me and everyone else in the room.

"Do they know about the Delta Wave?" Pavale asks lowly his hands pausing as he looks at both Jack and the Doctor.

"They'll have worked it out at the same time." I pitch in sombrely,

"So, they want to stop the Doctor. That means they've got to get to this level, five hundred." Jack adds turning to look at the Doctor, "Now, I can concentrate the extrapolator around the top six levels, five hundred to four nine five. So they'll penetrate the station below that at level four nine four and fight their way up."

After a pause Pavale tentatively asks, "Who are they fighting?"

"Us." Jack's eyes drift from the Doctor to mine, my hands slowly pause as I turn to face him.

"And what are we fighting with?"

"The guards had guns with bastic bullets. That's enough to blow a Dalek wide open." Jack lies easily, smiling charmingly at Pavale. My heart clenches as realisation sets in.

"There's six of us." someone protests.

"Rose and Alula, you can help me. I need all these wires stripping bare." Doc calls, moving away from the group his shoulders tense. Rose stands going over to help him I stand but perch on a table slightly.

"Right, now there's four of us."

"Then let's move it. Into the lift. Isolate the lift controls." Jack orders quickly.

I watch as Lynda approaches the Doctor, "I just want to say, er, thanks, I suppose, and I'll do my best." she looks up at him, I watch them intensely.

"Me too." Doc chirps, unaware of her obvious advances. Lynda awkwardly move in for a hug but the Doctor dodges and settles for a handshake making me snort from my seat as I watch them. My humour is short lived though when Jack turns to us.

"No." I whisper slowly standing.

"It's been fun, but I guess this is goodbye." Jack states, moving to stand in front of us. Rose and the Doctor leaving their jobs to say goodbye.

"Don't talk like that. The Doctor's going to do it. You just watch him." Rose naively states, smiling up at Jack. I feel the back of my throat tighten as I look at him,

"Rose, you are worth fighting for." Jack declares not replying to her, he cups her face kissing her sweetly. He then turns to the Doctor "Wish I'd never met you, Doctor. I was much better off as a coward." he kisses the Doctor quickly before turning to me. I shake my head my lip trembling.

"No." I whisper, my voice cracking.

"Hey now little moon. It's gonna be fine" he coos, cupping my face. "You're like a little sister to me. You know that?" he adds softly, I sniffle looking up at him. He presses a kiss to my forehead before pulling away his jaw clenched. He plasters a smile on before cheering, "See you in hell."

We stand there watching him go, a single tear falls from my eye which I quickly brush away and move back to the wires. Rose's soft voice interrupting the silence, "He's going to be all right, isn't he?"

~1~

As we sort the Delta Wave out Rose randomly pipes up, "Suppose.."

"What?" I ask turning to her briefly tilting my head.

"Nothing."

"You said suppose." Doc rebuts.

"No, I was just thinking. I mean, obviously you can't, but, you've got a time machine. Why can't you just go back to last week and warn them?"

"As soon as the Tardis lands in that second, I become part of events, stuck in the timeline."

"Yeah, thought it'd be something like that." Rose mumbles, placing a wire in the needed place.

The Doctor hesitates before looking up again, his gaze flicking between us, "There's another thing the Tardis could do..." he trails off looking at me, "It could take us away. We could leave. Let history take its course. We go to Marbella in 1989." his eyes search mine.

"Yeah, but we could never do that." I reply softly, "You could never do that."

"No, but you could ask. Never even occurred to you, did it?" he asks looking between us.

"Well, we're just too good." Rose jokes trying to lighten our sombre mood, I smile slightly slowly standing as the Delta Wave starts to build.

"The Delta Wave's started building. How long does it need?" Doc mumbles to himself running over to a screen looking at the information his shoulders sagging. My heart drops at his posture.

"Is that bad? Okay, it's bad. How bad is it?" Rose rambles not understanding.

The Timelord suddenly perks up, a fake smile plastered on his face as he exclaims, "Rose Tyler, you're a genius! We can do it. If I use the Tardis to cross my own timeline. Yes!"

He quickly runs off to the Tardis opening the doors, Rose following closely already caught in the whirlwind of his faux excitement. My heart clenches as I trail behind them, leaning on the door as I watch him run around the console setting things up.

"Hold that down and keep position Rose." he orders.

"What's it do?"

"Cancels the buffers. If I'm very clever and I'm more than clever, I'm brilliant, I might just save the world. Or rip it apart..."

"I'd go for the first one." Rose chirps, grinning in excitement.

"Me too. Now, I've just got to go and power up the Game Station. Hold on!" He rushes towards the door noticing me stood there.

"Doctor..." I whisper looking up at him my gut twisting, "Please don't." I mumble. He looks down at me his hands clenching. His eyes growing glassy.

"Get in the Tardis Al." he whispers, looking at me. "Please little star." he adds his voice cracking. I take a shuddering breath stepping around him to stand in the Tardis.

"If you do this.. I will figure out a way to come back." I threaten

The Doctor steps back out of the Tardis, "No you won't." he states resolutely before closing the door quickly. Suddenly the Tardis starts to move, I stare at the door a tear trailing down my cheek.

"Doctor, what're you doing? Can I take my hand off? It's moving." Rose shouts growing anxious. With no reply she lets go running to the door trying to open it. "Doctor, let me out!" she shouts banging on the door. She turns to me frantically. "Luna! Whats happening?!" she exclaims tears building in her own eyes as she looks at me crying.

"He's sending us home." I croak tears falling quicker. Rose continues shouting and hitting the door as I move to slump on the jumpseat. Suddenly His voice overlaps Rose's shouts.

"This is Emergency Programme One. Alula, Rose, now listen, this is important. If this message is activated, then it can only mean one thing. We must be in danger. And I mean fatal. I'm dead or about to die any second with no chance of escape." I look up a sheer image of the Doctor stood in the middle of the room his gaze locked on where I am.

"No." I mumble my breath catching.

"And that's okay. Hope it's a good death. But I promised to look after you, both of you, and that's what I'm doing. The Tardis is taking you home." the hologram explains.

"I won't let you." Rose explains, having moved to stand beside me.

"And I bet you're fussing and moaning now. Typical, especially you Rose. But hold on and just listen a bit more. The Tardis can never return for me. Emergency Programme One means I'm facing an enemy that should never get their hands on this machine. So this is what you should do. Let the Tardis die. Just let this old box gather dust. No one can open it. No one'll even notice it. Let it become a strange little thing standing on a street corner. And over the years, the world'll move on and the box will be buried. And if you want to remember me, then you can do one thing. That's all, one thing. Have a good life. Do that for me, you two. Have a fantastic life." the Hologram disappears. I slowly zone out as Rose continues shouting before bolting from the doors when we land. A soft hum emanates from the Tardis as I sit there crying. My breath comes out in short pants, my hands clutched against my chest as I sob. My vision blurs, the world swirls as my tears build a wall between myself and reality.

I eventually calm down, sat sniffling occasionally as I look at the console. "He's gonna die..." I take a shaky breath "and hes gonna be all alone." I whisper to the empty Tardis, the lights strum at my words, a small almost whine resonating around me. The Tardis's sorrow, evident in the tone.

~1~

I sat in the Tardis for who knows how long, but eventually Rose came back in tears still staining her face. She looks to me with determination flooding her features.

"We have to find a way back to him." she states, moving to the console, flicking and pulling randoms switches and levers. I stand from the floor nodding.

I sigh patting the nearby railing as I look up at the ceiling, "If only she could help us." I murmur. I see Rose pause her brain swirling with thoughts, I turn to her curious. "What is it Rose?"

"I know how we can get her to help us... we open up her heart." I look at her shocked and then angry.

"What! No! That'll hurt her, the last time that happened was when Blon was tearing the world apart!" I protest but she doesn't listen already rushing to Mickey who was outside. "Rose! Rose stop this will hurt the Tardis!" I exclaim racing after her. "Rose please, the Doctor wouldn't want us to harm the Tardis in an attempt to just die with him!"

My words fall on deaf ears as I watch her attach a metal chain around the loose metal from last time it broke open. I watch helplessly, as Mickey drives his little mini in hopes of tearing it apart.

"Rose please...you're hurting her" I try to talk sense into her as the Tardis groans around us. I look at the ceiling helplessly, only as Mickey tries harder the chain breaks. I relax leaning against the console muttering "Thank God"

"You don't even care about him! Do you?!" Rose's shrill voice accuses, I look up staring at her incredulously, but before i can open my mouth she stalks over to me. "You're not even trying to get back and help him, you don't care about him, not really!" she spits, her fists clenched. I scoff, glaring at her as I stand straighter.

"I do care about him, and I would do nearly everything to get back to him but harming the Tardis is not one of those things." I state clearly staring at her with an even glare. "The Doctor would be furious- unforgiving if we hurt the Tardis..more angry than when you decided to go wild last time and caused the temporary destruction of time." I jab. Rose's glare hardness and her hand swings, my head snaps to the side from the force of the hit. I gasp my hand moving to cover my burning cheek. I look up at her in shock, I see what could've been regret flicker in her eyes but before anything else could've been said or done Jackie and Mickey come in.

I stand to the side watching helplessly as they attach another chain; my cheek burns as I watch them, presumably flaming red. Rose flits between the door and the console, I move closer as it starts to crack, blocking out their voices as golden light seeps out. Like the last time I couldn't tear my vision away, I stare and vaguely fell Rose next to me. The console gives way with one final tug, bursting open golden light swirling and streaming out before encircling us. I feel a searing pain in my head and then nothing.
