Prologue Up in Continuous Winter

A small vulpix walks up the mountain through just walking and thinking but she knows she can't keep walking her body warmth has dropped very low and frostbite will get her soon if she can't find a place to shelter. She knows this was a mistake coming into the mountains but she couldn't go anywhere else just because no one likes her and just bully her but hopefully she will find something up here. She then sees a town and she walks into the first place she can,"Good evening haven't seen your face before" an alolan vulpix says cleaning a cup.

"Well I ain't from around here coming for Eastwood," she says to the other vulpix.

"That is quite the walk but come take a seat I bet you are freezing your ass off also want anything to drink?" the alolan asked in a kind sweet voice.

"Yeah it was the walk and yeah it is butt cold and I am a fire type. I didn't expect to lose my heat but no drink. I am 18 so I can't drink anyways" she says as she takes a seat at one of the stools.

"Well that is the cold for you but the drinking thing up here as long as you can think straight you can have a drink plus here," he grabs a pack of something and she hear a crack as the alolan bends it,"It is a heat pad use it to help with your body heat" the alolan says as the normal vulpix takes it and puts it under her head but she then feels her hat get taken off her head.

"Hey that's mine" she says in protest.

"I ain't taking it just getting it off of you it isn't smart to leave wet clothes on so yeah you should probably undress and change into something else if you have anything plus I don't think we know each other my name is Snow" he says as he puts her hat down next to her.

"My name is Pixel but I guess you're right just don't have anything to change into and not exactly comfortable in nothing even though it is for survival" Pixel says as she tugs off her jacket and places it on the counter.

"I guess that is fair but I have seen female parts so I won't care plus I don't really have a sex drive anymore plus I have seen people do it in my bar before" Snow says as he looks at the door like he is expecting someone.

"Yeah just still I ain't really comfortable with it plus you expecting someone" Pixel says as she tugs off her snow pants.

"Yeah one of the rescuers come in around this time but I understand you ain't comfortable with fully undressing but trust me it is better than freezing to death but since you don't seem to have frostbite yet you should be fine even with wet shirt and pants" he says as he just looks at the door.

"Thanks" right as Pixel says that the door opens and she sees another vulpix walks in with just a pair of pants and shirt on and nothing protecting her paws from the snow.

It walks up and pushes her out of the stool and she hits the floor with a tud, "Hey what the hell was that for?" Pixel asks as she gets up and hops into another stool.

"Because you were in my seat didn't mean any harm here take this," the vulpix slides a coin to her and she takes it with gratitude, "Plus just has been a long day at work of doing nothing also named is Flare" Flare says as Pixel takes her paws out of her boots and put them on the floor.

"I am guessing the usually?" Snow asks as he grabs a cup.

"Yeah, so what is your name girl? Haven't seen you before plus too geared up to be from around here" Flare asks as Snow starts making a drink for her and as Pixel takes off her socks and puts them in the boots.

"Name is Pixel just got here plus no hard feelings for pushing me" Pixel says as she takes off her scarf and then puts her head back on the heat pad.

"Ah, I knew I didn't see you before but don't worry I know that you wouldn't hold any hard feelings," Flare says as Snow puts a drink in front of her.

"Yeah hey Snow is there anywhere I can stay for a couple of nights until I can find something to do?" Pixel asks as she feels her body temperature start to rise.

"Yeah, you can stay here for the first night free afterwards one poke a night." Snow says as Flare slides five poke to him then slides something towards Pixel.

Pixel looks at it. It is an application to work for the rescue squad for up here,"Um you want me to join?" Pixel asks as she just looks at it.

"No I want you to eat it of course I mean I want you to join look we are small and it is better to have more people on deck" Flare says as Pixel puts it down.

"Okay I will but where do I submit it?" Pixel asks as her body temperature starts to straighten out.

"You can submit it at the base and they will look at it then find you and have a talk about why you want to join plus what you can expect and what you can or can't do" Flare says as Snow takes the glass from Flare.

"Okay I will do so, probably a good idea to have a job up here so I can live," Pixel says as Flare gets up from the stool.

"Alright, hopefully see you tomorrow then bye," Flare says as she leaves the bar.

"Your room is the first one on the left upstairs," Snow says as he finishes cleaning the glass.

Pixel grabs her stuff and heads up to her room. She sets up a clothes line and hangs her wet jacket, snow pants, socks, hat and scarf for now but she starts a fire in the fireplace of her room to dry off her boots. Snow walks in,"Hey just to let you know I may come in once in awhile to check on you plus if you need anything to eat or drink there is stuff downstairs plus bathroom downstairs door that has a sign or the first door that is right next to the stairs" Snow says as he looks at what Pixel is doing.

"Um okay thanks for the info just don't do anything to me please" Pixel says as she puts her bag down on the floor.

"I won't I promise and if I do you have all the rights to kick the shit out of me but goodnight" Snow says as he leaves and closes the door.

"Okay goodnight" Pixel says as she starts going through her bag.

Pixel pulls out a map, a compass, some wet clothes, food, water, a dead radio, medical bag, a couple of books, some writing utensils and some money. She then hangs the clothes and bag. She then takes off her pants and shirt and hangs them up then sits by the fireplace to dry her bra and panties since the snow sucks but she ain't going to bed completely nude. After a while of sitting she feels that they have decently dried and just relaxed by the fireplace. Snow walks in and sees Pixel on the floor near the fireplace which she immediately blushed up and somewhat closed in on herself,"You doing alright?" Snow asks as he looks around the room.

"Yeah just um getting ready to sleep" Pixel says as Snow looks at the stuff on the floor.

"I don't mind, again seen girls completely naked and even showing off to me before but what is with the stuff plus the radio?" Snow asks as he fully walks in he is actually completely nude and his sheath is hanging out which makes Pixel blush more.

"Oh um o-okay but that is stuff from my bag and the radio is dead" Pixel says as she is super embarrassed at Snow walking around with his thing out.

"Oh I can charge it if you want me to" he says completely unfazed that he is naked and there is a girl just in panties and a bra.

"Th that would um be nice" Pixel says, her face completely covered in red.

Snow looks at her "Why are you blushing so much," he says as he picks up the radio but then realizes what is bothering her,"I am so sorry I didn't realize kinda just used to it but sorry really sorry I will leave now," he says as he rushes out of the room now embarrassed himself.

Pixel closes the door still blushing but she grabs the application and starts filling it out which took about two minutes and by that time most of the blush is away. She puts it on the nightstand and falls asleep until morning.
